If its cost and complexity of password requirements can be reduce, it make LastPass for Busines more ROI friendly and easier to use. Another advise would be to integrate with Google Chrome or Internet Explorer browser by creating a plugin which can be installed into one of those browsers seamlessly. So, the browser can remember LastPass for Business password, so user doesn't struggle with resetting it. Pros I login to multiple email accounts and different kinds of software almost daily to update my e-commerce website, blog and to provide virtual support to my customers. So, I need to remember several passwords to run my business efficiently. LastPass for Business has been effective in managing all my logins and passwords so I don't have to keep resetting them. If I forget username or password of LastPass as well, then their support team helps me reset it by sending me a password reset link. In this way, my business processes are never interrupted due to login issues and I don't have to write my passwords anywhere. Cons There are couple of challenges I face when using the LastPass for Business software to manage by usernames and passwords. Firstly, I have to spend a portion of my budget to get access to the software. Secondly, its password is not easy to create because it has to meet a complex criteria of having a mix of numbers, alphabets, specials characters and at-least 14 characters long. If I forget it and reset, then I have to create a new one which is not the same as old one. Finally, if i forget my LassPast password as well as my email password, I won't be able to reset it on my own because I can't access support's reset email. Review Source Mauro B. Pros I love to have all my password easy and securely saved in one place. You can use it using fingerprint for easy access. Pros Today our emails contain a lot of confidential information, bank account numbers, social networks, etc. What I like about LastPass is that it creates new passwords or suggests one that is very strong so it's not easy to crack and you don't have to worry about stealing your password, LastPass has a simple and intuitive interface, the account icons are large and easy to search on both the web and mobile versions. One of the options that I like the most is how easy it is to share a login credential with another user. I primarily use the web browser version, and it mostly remembers to ask you if you want to save a password at the right moment. It's also generally good about either autofilling usernames and passwords, or showing the symbol that allows you to autofill the username and password fields. Cons There are some bugs that need to be worked out: - Sometimes the form fill symbol does not always work and allow you to choose/populate your username and password. - Sometimes the option for saving a password doesn't appear. Needed improvements: - When a password is updated, it would be great if LastPass would delete the old information, rather than keep it in the system. - For the mobile app, instead of asking for a alphanumeric password, it would be great to have a Swipe option. In terms of security, although a lot of two-factor authentication methods are available (and I use one), I am still concerned about whether LastPass is taking care to safeguard passwords, especially given they've had at least one huge security breach that I can recall. In many cases we were sharing passwords via encrypted email, which made it easy to archive but difficult to search. It was also impossible to audit who had a record of the account, or to simply update all of those people when the password changed. LastPass made that very easy. A number of our users registered for personal accounts and took advantage of the ability to link those with their enterprise accounts. I liked it so much that I paid for a Family account and added my wife to it so that we could share our personal accounts with each other also. Pros LastPass made it easy to centralize our corporate password management, and both opened up and limited who could see which shared credentials, and how. Cons There were several occasions where our LastPass Administrators were unable to see credentials within our corporate space. We didn't necessarily need them to be able to edit the credentials, but providing support for the tool was often complicated by not being able to administratively locate a credential when a user reported it missing, or had reason to believe it should be assigned to them via a group membership. January 23, 2020 5.0 Security Wise, LastPass is the way to go. I am very convinced that it is very safe to use, just keeping in mind not to forget the Master Password of your passwords. And So Far, I have never encountered anything that seem to be threatening and hopefully would never come across to something like that. Pros Totally worth it. The Software is affordable considering what it does. Also, the App is User Friendly and it delivers what is supposed to do, for a person like me who always forgets passwords and uses different passwords on different websites to make it more secure LastPass is doing a great job. I also love how it suggest to strengthen the password when detected as weak password. This I think is very helpful in making the accounts more secure. Cons I am not happy with their customer service, as it takes time to resolve issues as they can only be contacted through Email. One of the problems I encountered before is forgetting the Master Password, which made me really upset as the app never store the Master Password, so I needed to contact the Customer Service though Email and it took time before I could get to all my accounts that day. My accounts are secure because the password manager generates strong passwords for me and saves all of my login information.I adore the function that saves me time and hassle by automatically filling in the login information.LastPass is compatible with a variety of devices and the sync function keeps everything current.I haven't had any problems with the software, and the user interface is simple to use and intuitive. Cons There are only a few problems i encountered through LastPassAlthough the password manager does save all of my login information and create secure passwords, I occasionally experience issues with the auto-fill feature.The constant reminders to upgrade to the premium version annoy me as well.The user interface also needs some getting used to and could be more user-friendly. It has been very reliable over many years and contains most of the functionality you need. There are some features they have been slow to implement though and competitors have certainly taken the lead now though. Pros The software is easy to use and has been my go too for many years. It's fast, responsive and reliable. The integration of a personal account into your business account is superb, you can easily segregate your work and personal password management and if you move on from a company carry on using the personal account. Cons One area they could improve is the password creation capabilities. The ability to create passphrases would be beneficial. The area where they really let themselves down though is on support. The time to receive a response was poor and the response itself was inaccurate. I did not know what to expect. I didn't know I needed LastPass, but now I could not live without it. LastPass makes password management much easier and more secure. I used to store all my passwords on a google sheet and now I realize how dangerous that was. I will be using LastPass far into the future. Pros LastPass is the ultimate software for password security, sharing, and secure notes. It is easy to implement and use for business and personal (with just one account!). Autofill lets LastPass automatically fill in and save all of your pass words in one location. Cons Some sites disable the autofill feature and you need to copy/paste passwords from LastPass. Pros We like the fact that we can organize passwords in folders and secure them with 2-Factor Authentication. Also we can store more than passwords, such as addresses, bank accounts and notes. As a company we have many accounts from suppliers, stores and customers and imagine that we need to login from multiple computers at the same time depending on where we receive a phone call. Password generation as well as auto-fill and auto login for websites is very cool feature that many other password managers don't offer. The suggestion to update/store passwords every time we login is a time-saver. It can save passwords from apps too! Password exporting is very easy if you need an offline copy. Cons In the past every time we closed the browser we needed to login from the beginning to the browser plugin. It's fixed now. Other than that I don't have anything to comment. Using this tool allows you to bypass the unfortunate habit of passwords on sticky notes and also helps with offboarding employees and terminating access to many company accounts or shared sites. LastPass is reasonably priced for this and has nice Chrome extensions to speed up the process of entering passwords online. Cons The admin console can be confusing - particularly the sharing functionality. For security reasons, if employees lose access/forget how to access an account, it can be very difficult to help them regain access. Some employees just don't understand why/how to use LastPass and get frustrated by it. It seems to be one of those software tools where people are divided: People love or hate it. The best part, they can access without knowing the password (eliminating the risk of them changing it) and I can revoke access any time I want. Pros The fact that I can carry my passwords all around. Also, sharing passwords with other people without sharing details is gold. Cons I signed up for stuff way before I landed on LastPass, so some of them are through Google sign-in. I obviously cannot share my G account with anyone because It'll give access to everything Google. LP does not have a way around this yet (at least not that I know of). It's also not as easy as hacker opening up a plain-text file. Users can more quickly sign in. Users reset their passwords much less often. Users are much more likely to not have a universal password. Pros Makes passwords convenient enough that users stop using post-it's and "cheat sheets". It is much faster than having a user manually type it once or twice to get it passwords right. The option to share passwords fairly quickly with others is invaluable in my IT department. I feel very good about the company and having our data in the cloud. I feel it's very safe and near impossible for a hacker to get my encyrpted passwords that are only decrypted on my user side. We have one enterprise account that we use to be the main account and then we share it with personal accounts that are free. Some of our users we pay to upgrade to pro so they can access the passwords on their phones. Cons Sometimes it takes an hour for a new password to sync to my phone or another PC. If someone is unsecure, it can cause big security issues for our organization and our clients organisations. Also, coming up with new passwords takes time and energy. Generating a password makes sure you use a unique password within seconds. LastPass is a low cost and highly effective way to save of hours of repeating tasks, like updating a website or of online shopping. Pros LastPass is indispensable for our online business. We manage so many websites of our own and clienst, that it takes a lot of time to manually manage all the information . Saving lots of time and imporved safety are the most important reasons to use a Password manager. Cons After using another computer I have to enter the Master password again. Sometimes I wish I could easily add a trusted PC, although this is probably safer. It generates secure passwords to be used during logins online and offline. It also offers mobile application and browsers extensions. While on a browser, the auto complete feature is very useful, since it identifies the website and the login form and automatically add username and password. Cons There are two main reasons that made me switch to other password managers: the lack of auto complete on Android devices and the change of business strategy. LastPass changed the free tier, in which the user can only use this software on one type of device (PC or Mobile). For using on both you need to pay for it. For mobile devices it has difficult to auto complete the login forms for when using a browser apps like Chrome. This is due to Android limitations but directly impacts on the user experience. In these cases it is common to copy passwords using the clipboard, which is not ideal, since other apps can read the content of it.
