### "This really does simplify all of my password management needs"

May 22, 2023

5.0

I started using LastPass a few years ago when one of my colleagues told me about it. I was intrigued and decided to look into it. Even though I work in IT, I've always had a lot of trouble managing all of my passwords (and I certainly have a lot!). I tried out LastPass, and I've loved it ever since! It does a tremendous job of managing everything for me in one place.

Pros

LastPass has really robust password management capabilities. I appreciate the original idea of having one centralized place to manage all of my passwords. I especially like the browser extension.

Cons

There's nothing in specific that I dislike about LastPass. It's really super useful in general.

Reason for choosing LastPass

I didn't choose it over other products. It really was a first of its kind sort of thing for me.

### "Best Password/Data Keeper for the money"

April 6, 2021

5.0

Very positive, makes my personal and work life much simpler. Especially on my Iphone which I work from daily.

Pros

Used the free version for YEARS. Just went Pro and immediately thought why did I wait so long. I use it on my Iphone, Ipad and tablet. Oh and Yeah I love the chrome extension

Cons

The only real con is I waited to buy the pro version but that's on me not them. I should have done it much sooner but they made it easy to stay on the free plan.

### "Best Password Manager - Minus the Breeches"

July 25, 2019

5.0

I've used it for close to 10 years, can't say I'd keep using it if it were bad. We tried Dashlane and while it had better security, the mobile features weren't as good, so we reverted back to LastPass.

Pros

Easy to use. Works on both desktop and mobile so I don't have to choose. Sharing passwords is easy.

Cons

There have been multiple data breeches and it is sometimes "too easy" to use. This can be a plus and a minus. Someone can hop on my computer, without any verification and everything is available to see.

### "Easy to use, reliable"

October 5, 2021

5.0

It is the most reliable on cloud solution to store passwords, it is easy to use and no deploy is necessary.

Pros

Does not need to do any deploy, the solution is totally on cloud, giving us the freedom to not setup anything internally on the infrastructure, just need to have an internet connection. Also, the security is good, specially with the multi-factor authentication. Therefore, the option to fill your passwords automatically on the sites is pretty good.

Cons

The configuration inside the software, with groups, could be a little confusing if the person does not have a previous idea of access management. Therefore, the idea to have all the passwords stored on cloud could sounds insecure to some companies, which prefer to have an internal server, beyond a firewall, proxy and all the security measures.

Reason for choosing LastPass

Price, easy to use, no deploy necessary.

### "LastPass"

May 26, 2022

5.0

Pros

The password management, password generation, form fills, profiles, and authentication all integrate nicely and work exactly as expected. The software works seamlessly across desktop, browser, and mobile formats.

Cons

At times it can be frustrating to have to unlock for every single password, but this setting can be changed and also exists or valid security reasons.

### "Very Good Password Manager with Ease of Use"

October 31, 2022

5.0

Pros

It is easy to organise different types passwords in different folders. Can search for a particular password from chrome extension itself, without opening new tab.Gives copy username and password buttons options via extension itself for faster access. It suggests password, when setting a new password so one does not necessarily needs to think of a new password every time when setting a new one.It has two factor authentication option for safe login into the Lastpass app or extension. Can sort passwords by name, folder and most recent.

Cons

Have thankfully not faced any issues except that sometimes it doesn’t accept your login password for the plugin if it detects a new device and asks you to additionally verify from your mail, which is a security feature hence not necessarily an issue.

### "The absolute best in password security"

April 28, 2021

5.0

I use it to secure all of my passwords. Since I installed LastPass I actually have a different password for every service, and have no fear that I will forget them. It also includes a very handy password generator I love to use when creating new user accounts everywhere. It is the single best password manager I have ever had the pleasure of using.

Pros

It is so easy to use. You just install it in your browser and forget it exists until you need to punch in a password you forgot. It is a perfect way to manage your passwords!

Cons

I would like it to remember my passwords automatically instead of asking me every time. I'm not sure that option exists so far. Other than that, it is great!

### "LastPass is the absolute WORST"

January 25, 2023

1.0

Lastpass is literally the WORST. There customer service is absolutely trash. They have no call center so if you have an issue that needs help, you can only go and read whatever articles they have that will lead you in circles. I just went through the cycle of resetting my account (deleting all of the data on it) and I still am unable to log in to an account I've had for over 3 years. My family used this to share passwords for accounts we all use and I honestly am just trying to log in to fully delete my account due to all of these issues and the recent MAJOR data breach. 10/10 do NOT recommend. There are so many better options to use.

Pros

Absolutely nothing. This has been one of the most frustrating apps that I have ever used.

Cons

Everything. They have no customer service/tech support line which is probably the worst thing I've ever heard. Logging in is a STRUGGLE. Even if you do remember your master password, they then send you an email to confirm that most of the time doesn't even show up. Even doing a full reset of your account (which deletes all the data) and then trying to log in doesn't even work. I did this on their app and the message I got was "unable to log in you in, please go to customer support page". The customer support page is just a list of generalized articles that spin you in circles not actually providing REAL support.

### "Best password manager for teams"

December 12, 2022

5.0

All our cloud service account passwords are safely stored and shared among team members. We don't have to worry about our accounts getting compromised.

Pros

I can securely share passwords with my team members. The interfaces of both the desktop and mobile apps are user-friendly, allowing us to manage lots of credentials conveniently. MFA and autofill features also really save us time logging in.

Cons

The autofill feature does not work in non-browser desktop apps and a few websites.

Pros

### "Solid password manager, difficult to manage users and password groups"

October 13, 2020

4.0

Overall the experience was good and I would still recommend LastPass to any business aiming to improve their security (which should be every business really). Just know that it may take some extra effort to get team members to buy into the software's ecosystem and importance.

Pros

Strictly as a password manager LastPass was exactly what we were looking for. Chrome Extension worked great, it would suggest secure passwords, and it helped us keep track of hundreds of passwords for all our clients across social media accounts, emails, and more.

Cons

Once it got into the actual business-related features, LastPass started to feel more cumbersome. Getting the team to buy in and start using the software was difficult, and even by the end of our first year with it we still had team members admit they never used it. The main issue I think was that the process of adding new users, giving them the proper password permissions (we had 2 buckets for permissions, one for admin access and one for general access), and most importantly \*adding new passwords\* was just too complicated for them to deal with.

### "One if the best and easiest solution to store sensitive data in secured way"

July 18, 2019

4.0

I think every business should have a password management solution like last pass. It save people time especially IT team whom I was bothering them to unlock one of my remote machines because I forgot the password.

Pros

Last pass let you forgot all the pain about your password. You only need to remember one password and last pass will take care of the rest it even generate passwords for you and pre-fill login forms for you. You can also share some notes or passwords within team members like servers credentials, doors code pin,..

Cons

the admin dashboard is not friendly to use. Sometimes you find yourself sharing the wrong credentials.

### "LastPass Review"

March 4, 2022

4.0

Password security is extremely important these days, and being able to generate and store secure passwords for my accounts puts our minds at ease that important accounts won't be stolen.

Pros

LastPass makes it very easy to manage all your passwords in one place as long as you can remember one master password. The system is easy to use and data is saved to your account so you can access it from multiple devices.

Cons

LastPass recently changed their system so that you can only use it across either mobile devices or desktop devices (so I can't store my passwords on both my computer and my phone, but I can store them on my phone and iPad for example), unless you sign up for their premium package. Their premium subscription is $3 per month, which isn't that much.

### "Decent Password Keeper"

October 14, 2021

4.0

Pros

I don't like using the same password for every site, yet, it can be cumbersome to catalog the many passwords I have. We were recommended LastPass by an IT friend and once I created my account, I haven't looked back. I love that LastPass secures almost all of my passwords and notes. How does it work? I wondered the same before I first used LastPass, so I'll dive into that. You install LastPass on your browser, create an account with your email and a master password (this is the ONE password you'll need to remember) and then you get to work going to the sites you normally frequent with UN/PW combos and when prompted by Lastpass, you ask for it to save your password on the site. On the main hub site of LastPass, all of your saved passwords will be on file with a logo of the sites. You can just click on an icon and it will take you to the site where you can log in.

Cons

I don't like that it doesn't save ALL of my passwords. For instance, I can't save more than one Gmail password. I also don't like that at times, it just doesn't work. I'll be logged into LastPass, but when I hit the button on the site to autofill the UN/PW from the LastPass extension, it won't do anything, so there are times that LastPass is buggy and doesn't work...which is an issue if you're 100% reliant on LastPass saving your passwords. I have come to find that I also need to save some of my passwords in the notes section and simply copy and paste the UN/PW into the site when these bugs happen.

### "Relative Solid Solution for Passwords"

August 29, 2020

4.0

Overall, it has worked really well to not only document and share individual and group work passwords, but store emergency documentation in the case of an organizational disaster as well. We feel very confident that we can restore our IT systems in the event of a catastrophic equipment and/or personnel outage because of the availability of the service via any Internet connection.

Pros

The best feature of this software is the seamless integration between browsers and devices. It does not matter where an employee is; they are able to access their work credentials, their shared group credentials, and any personal passwords as well if they choose to link their personal and work LastPass accounts together. It has made universal password management a breeze.

Cons

The administrator console for the software feels slow and clunky, and at times is not very intuitive. Additionally, if a user gets “stuck” trying to access their account during the provisioning process it can take a good amount of work and resets to get everything operational again.

Alternatives considered

### "Lastpass review"

January 7, 2022

4.0

My Experience with Lastpass is great. I think everyone should start using this tool if they don't know how to make a strong password.

Pros

The LastPass password manager stores password in an encrypted vault and automatically logins to sites on your behalf. LastPass also generates strong passwords and remembers them so you don't have to. With this program, you can easily create strong, unique passwords that will help keep your data secure. You can share these passwords with others who need access to them as well by just sending them an email link. It price is also very cheap.

Cons

I don't find any cons here. Because it is helping us to protect from online cyber attacks.

Pros

Pros

This software is easy to use and has great features that you can use both on your phone and computer. It is nice to only have one password that you need to remember.

Cons

### "Your own personal vault!"

January 23, 2019

5.0

Pros

If you're like me and you can't remember your passwords for anything (cue crazy automated password by Mac) then last pass is for you! after you install the button for you web browser, it adds the login information for any site you login to (yes, ANY! think: banking, social media, etc.) and sit's super secure. I've been using it for over 3 years and have never had any security issues. Its easy to make shared folders for any projects your working on. Think: passwords just for social media team or just for marketing team. It's like your own personal vault... so you can focus on important things and not about if your password for a CRM included a special character or not.

Cons

I definitely wish they had a separate tag for business vs personal passwords. Although I know my personal passwords aren't in the "shared" passwords folder, it still bothers me that they are all visible on the same page

### "LastPass is helpful!"

February 17, 2023

5.0

Overall LastPass has kept me organized on the go. Helping me remember passwords for sites for both home and work. I am grateful I do not have to update both to keep track of many passwords and sites.

Pros

LastPass is easy to navigate and prompts me to save passwords on the go. I decided to go with LastPass since it will automatically sync my laptop and cell phone passwords.

Cons

Sometimes the auto fill-in is bossy. It automatically enters info where I do not want it to a lot of the time. Or the auto-fill will cover the space of the selection I need to enter information into. A 'dismiss' or 'x' button on the present page would be helpful, then the client just needs to refresh to bring the option back.

### "Excellent idea, there are better options and I'm not sure to trust it again."

April 15, 2021

5.0

Since the security breaches started I discontinued the use and I'm not returning again to using it.

Pros

As the name suggests this is the last password you need to remember, the rest of your passwords are within the app. Integration with web browsers. Multi browsers

Cons

Monthly Price too high. Mobile version not free. Security breaches lead to not trust it anymore.

Reason for choosing LastPass

I was tired of searching in my computer for a Excel file that was hide into many, many, many, many folders deep, deep, deep inside others to hide from spying eyes. The Excel file contained a lot of sites and passwords that not all the time was updated and of course my memory wasn't enough to retain dozens of passwords that changed over the months from 6 to 8 to 10 character to include one number, one symbol, not two of a kind together and blah blah. The rest speaks for itself. ;)

### "Don't know what I'd do without it"

July 23, 2019

5.0

I use it every day and it is a crucial part of what I do, generating passwords, remembering passwords, auto-filling details. It makes working with many user accounts and admin areas a breeze, and it's not just useful for professional life but also personal life. Social media, emails, online accounts, it does it all.

Pros

What I like most about this software is that it does exactly what it says it does efficiently. From browser tools, to mobile apps. They all combine to make security a top aspect of your work, and you never have to remember passwords, or make weak passwords compromising security to aid your convenience of remembering it. LastPass does the heavy listing, prompting when new credentials are created to have it saved for later use.

Cons

The add account prompt from the Google Chrome extension can be made to be modified a bit more before saving. As a developer, I do a lot of work on multiple websites on the same domain using subdomains. As a result, I get a lot of prompts regarding updating account as opposed to the option of editing the account title, to have as a new account.
