### "Saving your passwords securely is possible with LastPass"

August 4, 2018

5.0

It has definitely saved me from people knowing how I come up with my passwords, and it has also made being able to work with someone remotely very easy since you just share logins with the LastPass dashboard with a few clicks.

Pros

I love that I am able to share my passwords to colleagues without having to give them the actual password, and that I can revoke it whenever necessary. This is actually my favorite feature in LastPass, I can confidently share my password with family, or colleagues, securely. I can also remove it anytime.

Cons

One time, a client mistakenly removed my LastPass access from their account, but she removed my entire account instead, not just revoked my access to their enterprise account. It caused a lot of issues, and I hope LastPass makes it that administrators of enterprise accounts cannot disable the entire account and just revoke access.

### "Better than a spreadsheet or a sticky note"

April 7, 2021

5.0

Overall, my experience has been stellar. Much better than the competition. Easy to use and easy to share passwords with team members and family.

Pros

Web based and no need to download a file to import to access my passwords. The mobile app integrates directly with almost every app I have and I can login using my LastPass stored credentials.

Cons

I wish there was a field for tags. There is a "Folders" feature but I would love the ability to tag my passwords and easily sort them.

Switched from

[1Password](https://www.capterra.com/p/176113/1Password/)

I needed the ability to share passwords with team members and family. 1 Password did not offer this as a feature at the time I switched, a few years ago.

### "Easy to use but no help when things went wrong"

November 30, 2021

3.0

Great product until something goes wrong. This was perhaps 2 years ago though so maybe they improved their customer service.

Pros

Easy to set-up and start using. Didn't require any training. Easy to generate safe passwords, easily login to common sites I use, and safely share passwords with teammates when sharing accounts.

Cons

I once forgot my email and lost all of my passwords and had to create an entire new one. There was nothing they could do to verify me. I also couldn't use the same email to create a new account so I now use my personal email for work. It's not ideal.

### "Only tool you need for passwords!"

January 14, 2019

5.0

Pros

If you're like me then you likely either keep the passwords to all your logins the exact same or switch it up by a few keywords depending on the platform you're using. I was constantly forgetting my login information to accounts and dreaded the I-forgot-my-password experience that I had to consistently go through. I discovered LastPass through a colleague and the software allowed me to easily store all my passwords and logins in one place, in a secure and safe manner. I didn't have to go in and type the passwords again or enter in any information; the plug-in on Chrome automatically detected that I was logging in and asked me whether I wanted to save the information (the answer to which I always gave, yes!). LastPass also requires a password, so now that's the only login information I need to remember off the top of my head. I love this software and highly recommend it to anyone.

Cons

I'm a huge fan and haven't found anything wrong with the software yet.

### "Good start if you are looking for password manager"

August 5, 2022

5.0

I was using LastPass for few years as a password manager and generator. It was working very smooth and I haven't noticed any issues with that. I like that it provided extensions for the browsers that I'm using, which made using it even easier. Mobile phone was also supported, so it covered most of my use cases. The problem is that LastPass decided to change their free plan and make it practically unusable. This was the time I decided to switch to other password manager which is Bitwarden (which is free and provides the same functionalites).

Pros

LastPass is a reliable software. It has integration in form of extensions for all major web browsers, as well as mobile devices.

Cons

LastPass limited free model to only one type of device (PC/mobile), which made it practically unusable and forced users to buy subscription.

Switched from

[KeePassXC](https://www.capterra.com/p/247048/KeePassXC/)

It was easier to use and provided integration with mobile devices. KeePass works very well when using on single PC, therefore I'm still using it for work-related passwords.

### "Lastpass is a convenient password manager that can save time and is secure."

July 17, 2018

5.0

Pros

Lastpass is a software that has a wide variety of access. There are extensions for most modern browsers and there is even a mobile app for the mobile browsers. This makes accessing accounts easy from any device. Using the application, a password can be generated which saves that awkward time finding a secure password. Passwords are organized into various groups so finding a password is simple to do. One of the main features for a business is to share passwords which is easily done with encryption through Lastpass.

Cons

Lastpass does have some glitches which can make it a bit annoying. Sometimes, it just logs you out of the application and there can also be server issues. The pricing of the application does make an added cost for the business. The user interface is a bit outdated and clunky. There are a lot of unnecessary menus and it isn't organized very well. The customer support was also not that effective at solving some of the syncing issues I had.

### "Organized passwords, but with prudence"

June 29, 2021

3.0

I use it daily for everyday passwords. I don't use it for bank passwords or anything similar.

Pros

I like LastPass because it is easy to use. If you have the Chrome plugin installed every time you add a new password it will ask you if you want to save it, and if you already have them saved, it will ask you if you want to use them. In addition to passwords you can save notes and other things. If they comply with the security they offer, it is a highly recommended platform to save passwords, but anyway, I never save bank passwords or similar things.

Cons

When you have a lot of data in LastPass it is difficult to keep your dashboard organized. I wish they would offer more customization when saving data (custom fields, folders, colors, etc). Although it is a secure platform, I am always afraid to save extremely important data.

### "Easy and trustworthy, the only password manager I'll use"

October 22, 2018

5.0

LastPass has saved me a lot of headaches because my job requires me to have multiple online accounts. There is a lot of pressure on me to protect my work online, but just as importantly, to have easy to quick access to these accounts. Now that LastPass helps manage my passwords, it is so much easier and less stressful when accessing my work accounts.

Pros

LastPass is extremely easy to add to your internet browser, and even easier to use. When I log onto a website for the first time, sign up for a website, or even change my password, LastPass recognizes these actions immediately and shows a pop-up screen asking if I want to save the password info. LastPass never interrupts my web activity with their pop-ups, and the choice of two-factor authenticication gives me reassurance my info is safe.

Cons

There is little I do not like about LastPass, but I have found that it can sometimes lag loading webpages when I use Safari, but never with Chrome. The free version would not be enough if someone was very cautious about their data or had to enter sensitive data frequently. The paid version offers some great features, such as priority tech support, which I think all users should have access to use.

### "extremely useful tool"

December 7, 2021

5.0

I've used last pass for years now, at first the free trial, but when I signed up for the paid version I've never went back, it's good to know whatever devices I use or damage that my data is still securely stored.

Pros

The thing I like most about last pass is, it helps me stay organised and saves a lot of time and confusion with logins, personal data and formfilling

Cons

I haven't had any issues with the software.

### "LastPass Has stood the test of time"

May 20, 2020

5.0

We use it to securely manage a large number of web design client hosting and content management system logins. Our Developers are also happy with the ability to use SSH and a command-line interface to log in securely without the need to remember a ton of passwords.

Pros

It's fast and secure. There have never been any data security breaches that affected my account (As far as I know) Ubiquity. It easily integrates with browsers, smartphones and even log in via your desktop operating system! This is important for us as we have developers who work on less popular operating systems and need to navigate the web without any speed bumps. The LastPass command line interface app is one of the best extras. Sharing passwords between teammates

Cons

A number of competitors have arisen over the years and I have been tempted to move to them. No VPN service as far as I know.

### "So easy to use, no more 12345 passwords"

April 11, 2021

5.0

Terrific. After using the free version for years, I finally upgraded to the paid plan so that I can sync across all of my devices.

Pros

Like the title says, this is so easy to use you will no longer have an excuse for using those common passwords that so many people use. Get the paid version and you can sync your passwords to your laptop, phone, iPad, whatever. Once you're set up, you won't have to write down passwords in a notebook, or keep guessing, or reset again and again. Just fire up Last Pass (or have it running as an extension on your browser) and you're all set.

Cons

Rarely, and I mean rarely, LP doesn't load when visiting a few sites. Not really a big deal because I have the extension running. In those cases, I just open the vault, copy the password and paste it in. Doesn't happen enough to make this a negative, though.

### "LastPass is a big help."

January 18, 2022

4.0

I might try a different product later but I'm committed now to using a product like LastPass.

Pros

I like accessing my passwords across various devices and browsers. Using LastPass, I can do that securely.

Cons

At times, it seems like some features are not very well developed and/or explained. I use the credit card storing but it often doesn't work.

Reason for choosing LastPass

LastPass was the best available at the time anyway.

### "Managing Passwords was a nightmare until LastPass"

December 28, 2018

4.0

I have a safe "vault" that keeps all of my personal and professional passwords safe.

Pros

I use LastPass on all of my devices, phone, tablets, and laptops to help me manage my passwords. Until I used LastPass, I was constantly having to reset my passwords as I would forget where I wrote down the password. Now, not only can I find a password when I need it, I also can have the software actually generate secure passwords that can not be hacked. The previous stress of having to change a work password or thinking I had to remember passwords has been lifted from my shoulders. I would recommend this software to anyone struggling with password management. I have recommended this software to my friends and colleagues.

Cons

I would say that there is little that I dislike about this software. Perhaps the only thing would be sites like an airline that would require a user name email and password, it traditionally works with the username and password that most sites require.

### "Password On the Go"

November 13, 2018

5.0

I don't need to worry about my passwords. I used to save it on a save password feature but when your pc gets crashed and formatted your password will come along with it. While on LastPass this is not an issue. Save it and when your PC crashes, no problem, reinstall LastPass and you're back to normal.

Pros

This is mostly useful for users (such as myself) with many workstations. Install the LastPass Chrome extension, login to your account and save all your passwords. Even your password has the most complicated combination of Alpha Numeric and Special characters. Instead of using One password for all of your online accounts, which eventually will screw you if someone knows your password. LastPass can even recommend a good and secured password combination and there is no need for you to memorize. Save it to LastPass and you're all done.

Cons

When someone shares their password going to your LastPass account it sometimes takes time before you see it. Also, passwords are being populated automatically when this is activated.

### "App with great security"

January 10, 2023

5.0

In general, I only have compliments, I manage to save many passwords, only missing more separation in terms of themes, for better organization. But I have already recommended it to many people.

Pros

Application with enormous security, very practical for the countless passwords that need to be memorized, such as banks, social networks, documents, contact. I feel very safe, I've had my cell phone stolen and the app was able to protect it.

Cons

Few functions to register passwords focused on the same subject, thus facilitating the search within the application.

### "Great free option with highly recommended paid enterprise version"

November 18, 2017

5.0

Easy to use password management system that is highly secure as well. I save time by using this instead of our old database driven in-house password manager.

Pros

I like that there is a free version so you can try it out with an option to pay if using in an enterprise environment. Easy to use to login to many websites that require usernames and password - essential if you work in the Web Development industry like me.

Cons

If you use this software on multiple websites using the same domain, but with a different subdomain, the software thinks you are still on the main domain and suggests you enter in the main domain's username and password even though the website that you are on in a sub domain is a completely differnet website. This can make logging into websites if you are a web admin quite difficult on testing/development websites.

### "Password Saver"

June 10, 2021

i can keep all my passwords safe and secure in one place, and see them all at once , change them if i need to, create new ones, etc.

Pros

You can save passwords to all sites you use in one place. You can organize them in folders based on what the sites are for, i.e. business, personal, finances, shopping, etc!! It can also generate new passwords for you that are long and secure. You can click on the site from your portal and it will log you in

Cons

it is hard to log in when you have to. It doesn't sync with everything but it does work on your browsers and your phone. i feel like it is easy to hack

### "If you do not utilize password management for your team, start now"

June 3, 2022

Quickly deliver credentials to new employees or team members. Have confidence that employees are not saving credentials in unsafe ways.

Pros

Browser integration, account management useful for managing team member or employee accounts. Ensure your team is not wasting time on forgotten passwords, password resets, and getting locked out. Provides a way for safe storage of business IT credentials so employees do not revert to writing passwords on paper or email them, avoid taking unnecessary risks.

Cons

We have not had any negative issues with the product.

### "Helps generate secure passwords and stores your existing passwords!"

April 1, 2022

Great experience! Very easy to use and is reliable. I've never had any experiences where the system was down when I needed to use it.

Pros

I love how it generated passwords for you if you chose to use that option. They are very encrypted which helps me not have to think of one.

Cons

I wish it didn't limit the amount of devices you can use before needing to pay. I like to use it as a secure storage and generator for passwords which I feel is a very basic use.

### "Fantastic Password Manager and More"

February 25, 2022

5.0

Pros

LastPass is so very easy to use in so many ways. It is super easy to share passwords with other staff.

Cons

I have a couple of sites that after username and password, also require a security key. LastPass always asks if it should add that password. The security key changes every time I log in, so it's not necessary to remember it. It is not a huge deal, though!

Reason for choosing LastPass

For one, we use the free version. Being a public library, we have a very small budget and free, yet dependable is what we look for in every product we use. We are considering the paid version, as we could use more of what LastPass has to offer. We just need to find the money to do so.

### "There's much better out there."

October 25, 2018

2.0

At the end of the day, LastPass wasn't worth the trouble. We ended up switching to One Password. You should do the same.

Pros

LastPass is cloud-hosted password management. Their website and browser extensions allow you to access your passwords in multiple ways. The folder management is confusing, but can be helpful. I liked that we could have a few paid accounts and share necessary folders and passwords with free accounts. I also never got hacked or exploited, which is always good. And it's relatively cheap.

Cons

As far as reliability goes, LastPass is a complete wreck. Out of the 8 people on my team, 6 of them couldn't even access the browser extension - all for completely different reasons. The software just didn't work as advertised. The website is so slow and clunky, and it can take quite a while for shared creds to actually arrive in the recipient's inbox. Clearing the cache and reloading sometimes resolved the issues, sometimes didn't. Not having a desktop app is a big con for me. I don't work offline very often, but the speed and flexibility of a desktop app far outweighs the benefits of being browser-only. The interfaces for the browser extension and website are cluttered and confusing at best. They need yet another redesign ASAP. Administrator tools are limited if at all existent. Recovering and managing accounts is troublesome.

### "No more remembering passwords!"

June 21, 2018

5.0

Pros

It seems like every day I have to create an account for something. Best practices for the internet indicate that I should not use the same password twice. How to resolve this? Use a password manager! I've been using LastPass for several years now to generate and store secure passwords for all the user accounts I have to make for work, life, and everything in between. I can customize what types of characters I want in the passwords I'm generating, and keep my websites in folders to help keep them organized.

Cons

Sometimes it has trouble filling in my information, but that's always due to the fact that the website in question has changed their URL enough that it looks different than the original site I saved. Either way, the solution is easy because I can just look it up in my vault!
