### "One of the best password managers, period."

February 6, 2020

5.0

A very reliable password management solution, it has followed me for many years through job changes, phone changes, and operating system changes.

Pros

Extensive integration with browsers (via extensions, cross platform) and mobile (both iOS and Android) makes my passwords always ready to be auto-filled. Easy adding, editing and categorizing of accounts. Solid security assessment and random password generation tools complete the picture.

Cons

The main interface for the vault can be a bit clunky and over-engineered, but since the purpose of a password manager is mostly to set and forget, this is not a big issue. Other competitors provide proactive data breach monitoring via services such as Haveibeenpwned.com

### "Better than not using a password manager, but UX is frustrating"

October 21, 2018

5.0

Pros

I feel pretty confident that my passwords are secure when I use LastPass, and LastPass makes sure all my passwords are unique. Those are the most important things. Better to use a password manager like LastPass than not to use one.

Cons

I'm required to use LastPass by my company, but I prefer to use a simpler solution like Keepass. And the main reason by far is that LastPass has--in my opinion--absolutely terrible design. The UX (user experience) is just miserable. To this day, I can't figure out the difference between all the different levels of "shared" passwords, and I certainly can't figure out how to \*change\* the levels of access among them. I'm glad the software offers to automatically populate passwords in the appropriate fields when you get to a login page, because any time I have to navigate the UI of the LastPass widget in my Mac OS toolbar, it's a pretty painful experience. Design is not this app's strong suit.

### "Best password manager out there"

November 10, 2017

5.0

You can't forget passwords you don't have to remember! Speeds up login times, reduces frustration, enhances security, reduces impact of data breaches, allows me to access all of my passwords anywhere I need them.

Pros

The time it saves me along with the additional security and peace of mind it provides is immeasurable. I love being able to navigate the web and seamlessly just be logged in. It's been years since I've used a "forgot my password" link. One of my favorite features is the ability to reset passwords in bulk - useful for updating your passwords after converting to random password for each site or refreshing them just because. It integrates with many popular sites to perform the resets in just a couple clicks. For those without integration, it does take a few more steps but it still makes the process much more convenient. Also the secure notes field is a wonderful place to store sensitive info not fit for forms.

Cons

My only problem with LastPass may not really an issue with LastPass.. With some sites (maybe 5% of the time) LastPass fails to properly detect the username/password fields and cannot auto-fill credentials. This could be due to LastPAss or, more likely, the code on the website itself.

### "Password managers are now a necessity; LastPass not necessarily the best one"

August 23, 2019

4.0

LastPass solves the problem of having too many logins to memorize, but not perfectly.

Pros

Store all your passwords for all accounts in one place guarded by the only password you must now memorize. With the volume of different accounts and logins we must now maintain, our options are: use the same password for everything (unsecure), memorize the different logins for each account (unreliable for most humans), keep the logins written in a central location, or use a password manager like LastPass--the same idea as option 3 but with a level of security your pen and paper or Excel sheet cannot possibly match.

Cons

The smartphone app is a key feature for ease of use and is just OK--it often offers you the login for a different app than you are trying to login to forcing you to flip to the LastPass app, look up the login, and copy/paste the password over to the app you're trying to login to. The PC browser extension always sometimes has issues with form filling---putting the account name into the webpage's password slot and vice versa is a common issue. It is also unforgiving if the website has any inconsistencies in its URL (e.g. www.citi.com is a different website than www.citibank.com).

### "Lastpass saves my passord bacon"

May 6, 2021

4.0

A cross functional, multi-platform password and data security solution that is easy to deploy, manage, and access to autofill and auto-generate complex passwords.

Pros

I used the premium (paid) version of LastPass to manage password and personal data that I need to be able to easily access across my device ecosystem. Using randomized, auto generated passwords created by LastPass is a best practice in account and computer security.

Cons

I find the pricing for the product is a bit on the higher side, they have also restricted some basic functionality in the free version - which after testing is what led me to choose Last Pass over other products. It also keeps asking me for account and billing data, even though this already exists.

Reason for choosing LastPass

When I first starting using it was on multiple platforms not just Apple.

### "It's been a game-changer for me. Password managers like LastPass increase my productivity greatly."

July 25, 2018

4.0

It has made my workflow much more productive, and, although I haven't tried the competition, this software is a fraction of the price.

Pros

I work with 1000s of passwords and this allows me to have a bank of them that is readily accessible and at my finger tips. The customer service is good, and it's relatively easy to use. The mobile app is good.

Cons

Well, there was a security breach a while back; that has to be the worst of it. Of note, to date I haven't been affected by this and it's probably all right, but this is the kind of thing the company has to know was a big problem (and they do). I would still recommend the software. The mobile Safari integration could be better, too, but it's there and improving and, admittedly, they are limited because of the iPhone sandboxing and limitations imposed by Apple.

Overall I highly recommend LastPass – it's been a true lifesaver! I don't have to use the same easy-to-guess password on all of my accounts anymore. I feel much safer now.

Pros

I LOVE how easy it is to create high quality passwords and save them easily and effortlessly.

Cons

Sharing options are super clear and the organization of all of my passwords feels a little overwhelming and clunky sometimes.

I love using LastPass. I have so many sites and each password is different.

Pros

I have been using LastPass for years and it is the best and easiest password manager to use. It makes it easy to log into the multiple sites I have accounts with.

### "Good Product, Awful Support"

March 31, 2022

Pros

The ability to use it cross-platform was the reason that I was using last pass for more than 7 years

Cons

Speed, Support, They blocked my account when I was traveling, I called support they told me that the problem has been solved and I will receive an email, In email, I received some odd things which were a complete mistake, I get a refund through my bank, I didn't call them again cause It was so rude And I choose to never ever I will not trust a product with a weak and unprofessional support team which created a lot of problems for me.

### "Very good but..."

October 13, 2021

5.0

I have used LastPass for years, but I decided to switch since Zoho Vault was a better solution for me. Most importantly, it was cheaper, but it was also more convenient to use with multiple users. Again, much cheaper. And I found that it was at least as easy to use as LastPass. Still, they're a very good alternative and until a couple of months ago I would have recommended LastPass to anyone (and I have done so in the past). I would say: try both. It's free so you have nothing to lose. Except of course if you want on multiple devices which - let's be real - your most likely will.

Pros

\- Easy to use - Team version available - Nice design - App available

Cons

\- Mobile app is not as good as Zoho Vault (slower) - They force us to pay if we want to use LastPass on multiple devices. Annoying!!

### "My first password manager"

October 1, 2022

5.0

Password manager is a must, and Lastpass is a good choice.

Pros

It was my first password manager, so the first time I could forget my old complicated password system that I head to learn by heart

Cons

I could not get everybody in the newsroom to pay for Lastpass so we could easily share passwords. Strict company policy did not allow us to officially buy the service. So everyone was paying their own accounts.

Switched from

[1Password](https://www.capterra.com/p/176113/1Password/)

Actually, it was the other way around. I started with LastPass and switched to 1Password. Howeber, with all of my devices being Apple, it no longer is an essential tool. I still sometimes use it, though.

### "Easy tool for essential password management"

July 6, 2021

5.0

It as been an extremely useful tool for both my business and personal accounts.

Pros

It's becoming more and more important to have DIFFERENT passwords for each platform. This makes memorizing passwords more and more difficult. But to have the same password across all platforms is impossible to have without a tool like LastPass. I like that I only have to remember one password to access all of my other passwords. I like that it is accessible on my mobile device AND PC.

Cons

It's annoying to have to log in every time, but understand that is part of the security of the platform. I wish there was an easier way to mass update duplicate passwords on multiple platforms instead of needing to got to each one.

### "A small price to pay for an enterprise password security solution"

August 2, 2018

5.0

Security.

Pros

People are terrible at remembering passwords. They're even worse about creating passwords. LastPass takes the guesswork out of both. By having a solution that allows for the secure creation and storage of passwords, the most significant vulnerability in our organization is taken care of. I like that I can shut down accounts of employees after they leave us. I like that there's so much policy control- it prevents bad things from happening at the source. Integration with active directory makes it even more seamless, as it makes identity federation possible. My staff loves that they only need to remember one password; I love that hundreds of their passwords are secure. It's also a great way to share passwords without compromising our systems.

Cons

I guess I wish it cost less (though four bucks a user is pretty reasonable). Lastpass is, with a few exceptions, a single function tool, and the costs add up.

### "Works Flawlessly"

May 23, 2021

5.0

I highly recommend this product. It has received great rankings, and believe they are well deserved. I am also pleased to see that the company providing frequent updates.

Pros

I started to use LastPass when it was free three years ago. It has worked perfectly and never experienced any downtime. LastPass is simple to use and set up. The application is on three of my devices, and I gladly pay for the tool. It has various preference options and is set to lock whenever I put my computer to sleep, which works best for me. I also make use of one of the many multifactor options offered.

Cons

I have not found a way to connect my LastPass to my face recognition scanner (and not sure if that is a good feature to have). I still have some concerns about a source having access to every part of my life.

### "A Top-Notch Password Manager tool for everyone"

March 16, 2019

4.0

Overall, I'm very happy in using LastPass on a daily basis; I'm sure they do their best to keep security and avoid any data breach, plus LastPass Enterprise offers useful solutions to have high-secure password-protected accounts.

Pros

LastPass Enterprise is an excellent password management tool for anyone. It's essential especially for us working in digital marketing fields, where the number of user's logins/passwords have exponentially increased,

Cons

A couple of times, in my own experience, sharing password via LastPass Enterprise has caused some bugs: I guess, this was because the receiver did not activated his/her own LastPass account before receiving the sharing email. So, before sharing any access, make sure that the person you're sending the login details has already a fully activated LastPass account!

### "Topnotch password manager "

April 20, 2019

4.0

Pros

Lastpass is easy to set up. It's so easy in fact that just about anyone can set it up with ease. I like the simple UI. It looks nice and makes it easy to use the software. It's cross platform - which is a good thing because I usually log into my accounts from different devices. Syncing happens instantaneously, which means I always have my passwords irrespective of the device I'm using. I like the security challenge feature. It's really useful as it helps to keep my accounts even more secure. It has a great Chrome plugin which I find very useful. I also like the availability of mobile apps.

Cons

While the Chrome extension works flawlessly, I can't say the same for the Safari extension. The iOS app doesn't work as well as that of android devices.

### "Yet another password keeper"

October 21, 2018

5.0

Though there are dozens of similar software, I keep using LastPass for years.

Pros

What I like the most in LastPass is its integration into browsers. After authorization on web page, LastPass suggests to store the password in its protected storage, that I find really handy. I have a huge amount of passwords stored in LastPass since I started using it. This is why I like the feature that allows me to group saved passwords by folders.

Cons

After program installation, it looked a bit over-complicated for me. However, after watching training video the rest was easy. When I started using LastPass I had some issue accessing my account. I reached their client support a few times, but they remained unresponsive unfortunately. After paid version purchase I got better support though.

### "My Experience with LastPass"

April 21, 2022

4.0

Pros

I really enjoy using LastPass as it simply makes my life a little easier. By centralizing my passwords, I can create complex character combinations in order to increase security on specific sites (and not reuse said passwords). It is very simple to use and secure.

Cons

My main gripe with LastPass isn't specific--it's just that I don't have any loyalty to the software. If I saw something new that looked better, I'd try it out. The only thing keeping me here is the prospect of having to save all my passwords elsewhere. That being said, LastPass does do what I want it to do--it just doesn't do anything more.
