IT Support Supervisor Information Technology and Services Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Simple and effective password manager" July 31, 2025 5.0 Once everything has been setup in the backend and user accounts federated, it has been easy to deploy and manage. The browser extension works as expected and will let you know how strong a password is. Another important feature is able to add notes to each login item in the vault. Pros LastPass make is very easy to generate complex passwords for each and every login. It will automatically save to the vault and autofill logins. The account can also sync with other devices no issues and is seamless. Cons To set up sharing folders can be a bit tricky up especially with permissions. The admin console does take a while to get used to. We have had issues setting up single sign on, but worked through them in the end. Review Source LD Laura D. April 23, 2025 4.0 Overall, it is a great tool and allows me to not have to remember every username/password combination for each website I frequent. It saves and stores all of them, plus when you pull up the website, it populates the username/password data, so long as you have it saved from the previous session and added to your vault. Pros LastPass is a secure system for storing username and password login information for multiple websites. Our agency uses the system to save and store important logins for every website and donor system we utilize. Cons Sometimes LastPass does not automatically generate previously remembered username/password combinations and you have to physically open your LastPass vault to reactivate it. September 22, 2025 5.0 I had not known about LastPass until I stared my current job, where we use it for everything. I have a hard time to remember all of my passwords across various platforms. Security wise, it isn't suggested to have all of your passwords the same, this enables me to be able to follow that guidance, and not worry about writing them down, or having them anywhere that someone could see them accidentally. Pros I have a very hard time remembering my login passwords, since it is suggested to be the safest to have different passwords, lastpass helps me to have them all stored in a safe place so that I do not have to keep them written down or continue to reset passwords constantly because I can't remember which one it was. Cons I have not experienced any cons with LastPass, I would say I do wish it worked on my mobile phone to login automatically, but I am able to open it and copy and paste so it isn't difficult to figure out. Its overall ease of us can't out shadow the critical loss they experienced as well as their customers. Pros I liked that it was simple to use and most importantly, to me, was that it came included in my VPN purchase so I didn't have to spend any extra money to use it. Cons Unfortunately, I had misplaced my password to unlock LastPass and when I used the recover method, it didn't work for me and I lost access to what password I had saved in it. Cons There are times when biometric login is not working correctly on certain devices and their customer support doesn't always react to technical problems in a timely manner. It keeps me from getting a headache or wanting to throw my phone out the window. It allows me to log in quickly! Pros Remembering all my passwords never happens! But, with Lastpass, logging into everything is easy! Remembering all my passwords gives me a head and sometimes makes me want to throw my phone out the window. Lastpass helps me to not to do that lol Cons The mutli authenicator can be annoying to toggle back and forth between but I know that it does help the security of my log ins. But it had a security breach that caused us to switch to another software. Pros LastPass did a pretty good job keeping my passwords when I used the software a few years ago. It is pretty easy to manage passwords in LastPass Cons LastPass had a security breach a few years ago, that's when we decided to switch to use another password management system. The features of the team management are sad and pathetic. Then, they want to charge you double the price to gain access to the basic features that are needed for the team group acccount owner to prevent a theselves from havig a teammate change their password and lock them out of their own system!! Correct. There is no super admin - the call it that but any other admin has the same rights and can take full control of the app and remove the super admin! Foolish site, sad service, terrible CLUNKY annoying software. Run. Pros I have found no feaure that made me say 'I like this' or that seemed in any way impressive or even functinal. Even sharing access between users is complicated, have to a dozen steps, reauthenticate multpile time just to accept the 'item' being shared, terrible user experience, terrible interface. Cons Constantly having to re-authentiate every 10 SECONDS while navgivating site with no end in sight. Pages hanging and freezing every time an action is peformed. Review Source EP Eli P. Cons LastPass has had some reports of security breaches. I realize that this can affect any product, but with a password management program, this is of affective concern. Pros Very easy to set up & use, edit settings, restrict access of changing pass by the manager which really helpful avoiding lots of accidental trouble. Cons Nothing that I know of. I work with so many companies and having this app as a shortcut to access all of them also being able to share Agency passwords with coworkers for shared log-ins is very helpful. Pros LastPass is very easy to use makes Launching into company websites with prefilled user name and passwords. Saves me time instead of manually always logging into each website. I am also able to use it when I am working out of other offices and need all my credentials. I need a password manager, so it does the job but the added bonus of the autofilling on forms is great. I'm not sure what other features I'd like, perhaps easier backups both local and to a backup location of my choice E.g. my cloud storage would be good. Pros The cloud integration/browser integration is the safest I've used. Really intuitive enabling you to autofill usernames/passwords saving a lot of time other alternatives where you have to search for the one you want Cons Sometimes it's slow or laggy, especially if I have a load of tabs open, or am too fast/slow at clicking I can close it before it works. I do have the paid version but I don't feel like you get much more than the password management in terms of features. We use the app for 2-factor-authentication as well. LastPass also recogninzes new passwords and automatically asks you whether you want to add them to your password list. It also realizes new data and refreshes it. The programm also sets up hard passwords by itself. Pros LastPass is the easiest way to collect all your passwords and keep them safe. You basically cannot forget your passwords anymore because LastPass already knows your password, so you only have to remember LastPass' password to have all your access data at hand. Cons To have the maximum security, you have to use a mulitfactor authenticator which is exhausting but I geuss its needed. Review Source MP Michal P. " September 23, 2024 5.0 My overall experience with LastPass is good. They have a 2 step multi authenticator to get into lastpass. After that your login's should autofill to the correct websites if you have them saved. The only thing is if you let LastPass generate a password for you it is unique but odds are you won't know it unless you have access to LastPass which is okay for certain things like work related websites. Pros What I like about LastPass is that you are able to keep any passwords (& usernames and any additional information) all in one place. LastPass also help generate unique passwords. You can also share passwords securely. Cons The thing I like least is sometimes if someone shares a login with you but doesn't send it so that the password will update if they update it. October 14, 2024 4.0 Pros Managing passwords is always a hectic thing when you are using multiple web application, social apps. Some use same password across all the platforms thinking that they are making their lives easy, but it's better to safe than sorry by using unique password across various platforms to minimize damage if any of your password is compromised. I'm using lastpass to save all my passwords under one place and it's more convenient for me to use where I want. Cons I wish Lastpass security team to consider security as their primary priority as it will be catastrophic if compromised. I beleive lastpass is improved security much better after the last security incident.
