### "Secure, ease to use, and great for collaboration "

June 23, 2022

5.0

Overall LastPass is a great asset to my business and takes the pressure off securely storing clients’ data and keeping track of all of my own passwords, both business and personal.

Pros

I love how simple and easy it is to use this software, without compromising on security and great features. It’s easy for my clients to securely share the passwords I need to manage their social media accounts and I feel assured that LastPass will warn me if there are any data breaches.

Cons

It’s a shame they recently changed their free plan so you can no longer use it on multiple devices without upgrading. There are other tools out there which do allow this without the price tag

### "Easy to create, store and manage all your passwords in one place"

August 25, 2021

4.0

Great - Improved my teams ability to share passwords securely and personally it has enabled me to have much stronger passwords for everything - personal and business. I just wish I could convince my Mum to use it!

Pros

The browser extension and mobile app just make Lastpass so easy to use. I love that I will never have to think of another strong password as long as I have access to Lastpass as the generator is great for this. Knowing my personal vault is completely secure, but that I can also add any password in to a shared folder to enable collaboration across a team is great. And there is no better feeling than only having to log in to one application and know that wherever I browse to if I have an account the credentials simply populate from Lastpass automatically.

Cons

I find provisioning users a little labour intensive - but that might be because I haven't ever looked to see if there is an easier way. And if you have a login page which asks for more than 2 credentials e.g. account name, user name and password... but as long as you put the account name in the secure notes of the password entry on last pass it's still easy to find.

### "Excellent password and profile management"

December 2, 2021

5.0

I've had this manager for 5+ years and I absolutely love it. The one thing I would add is the ability to search the vault for logins with duplicate passwords.

Pros

It just works. With hundreds of passwords, some infrequently used, a manager is a must in today's world. The browser plugin easily recognizes your credentials for the site you're on, and gives you the option of multiple logins on a dropdown list. Simple.

Cons

At times the drop down list is unreadable making it difficult to identify which credential you need. This mostly happens on mobile. Some websites do not allow autofill, but that's not LastPass's fault.

### "The very best choice for password management"

August 16, 2022

5.0

I like using the password generation, organizing my vault, seeing it sync in when I move over to mobile. Expanding my vault with more and more passwords makes me feel increasingly secure and like I'm taking control of my online life.

Pros

I'm really happy with the password management tools provided by lastpass and how it keeps me organized. I enjoy creating different folders, subfolders and diving things between work and personal within my vault. For sufficient modern day online security the average person is needs to maintain hundreds of different account and logins with each having a unique password consisting of a random string of characters. It would be impossible to manage this without a trusted tool like LP.

Cons

Autofill and autosave are very, very good but still not yet at the point where every website works. And I haven't figured out how to autosave new passwords when I'm on mobile and have them sync over to desktop. That's really my only criticism. But perhaps, it's my fault and there is a setting where I can enable improved mobile autosave. I'll keep looking into it. Overall, this is a very valuable product that everyone should use.

### "Necessary if you work with more than one computer. "

March 10, 2022

5.0

Of all my day to day work, it's probably the one I use the most. Both personally and professionally. Being able to access my passwords even on shared computers makes productivity go up. Without a doubt, once you get used to it, you can't work without lastpass.

Pros

The ease of synchronization between computers. Having it inside a Google Chorme addon makes it very easy. And if I switch from computer to laptop, in one click I have everything updated.

Cons

It used to be free. And since it's paid. But it is well worth the less than 2 euro I pay now. I have not found a better one (neither paid nor free).

### "LastPass is great!"

February 17, 2022

5.0

LastPass has been great. It provides the solution for password management and helps me share my information safely and selectively with my virtual assistant team.

Pros

I love the convenience of having all my passwords in one place. I love the autosave and autorefill services. Plus, I like being able to select which accounts to share with my virtual assistants so they can post in my social media platforms through my account. I also love the password generator so I get a strong password that automatically saves and updates in my LastPass account. I also love how LastPass syncs across devices so I can access my accounts on my phone or laptop without worry of not remembering my login information.

Cons

The only negative aspect is that it used to be free. Because I use LastPass for personal and business, I had to upgrade to a paid account. This is a trivial issue though because the annual fee is very low.

Reason for choosing LastPass

I chose LastPass because it was recommended to me by my business coach and his virtual assistant team. Once I started using it, I realized what a gamechanger it was for me! No more writing usernames and passwords down in a little book!

### "Let it remember your passwords for you as nothing can do better"

December 13, 2021

5.0

Overall, I am very satisfied with LastPass and hopefully I will be for a very long time. I believe It should offer more customized subscription plans which will be more meaningful for buyers.

Pros

Easy to generate complex passwords with well appreciated customization options. LastPass is a trusted friend of mine for so many years because it always remembers if I have any account in any website even if I forgot.

Cons

The only annoyance I have with LastPass is its suggestion system. It sits at the end of the text box which is overly used by other add-ons as well. Most of the time it needs multiple clicks to be successfully open the password box. I love the system used by Firefox and Chrome which opens the suggestion box below and I can scroll and choose the identity I want to use.

### "This software changed my life"

February 18, 2022

4.0

I originally installed Lastpass to manage my VA's accesses better. Share passwords securely. Since I started using it I switched 2 VAs, and at the moment I'm working on my own. Meanwhile the software embedded itself into all areas of my business and personal online activity, and there's no way back. Before using Lastpass I used to have mostly similar 5-10 passwords across multiple services, often forgetting what password belongs to what service and forced to change the often due to that. A huge hassle, not to mention less secured. Apart from that, I couldn't share accesses securely with a team member, since providing the direct password to a service meant they potentially have access to everything else I use. Extremely risky. Lastpass changed all that - I currently have a unique password to each service used, gibberish, hard to guess one, and I have to remember only the one used to login Lastpass. In addition, I don't need to share anything explicitly with anyone. I always prompt them to open a free account, and I share it with them directly to it. Once they don't need to use the password anymore, I can eliminate their access, and back to safety. Huge game changer for me, can't see how I ever go back to my previous life.

Pros

I love how easy to install and use it. I'm also happy with the secured sharing option, the passwords history for each service (sometimes comes useful), and the price is quite reasonable. All in all, great solution.

Cons

I recently became aware of competitor services that allow 2FA directly in the browser. Me still having to use my phone to provide the code via authenticator app is quite a hassle. If there's any reason for me to switch to a competitor app, that would be it.

### "No more duplicate passwords!"

October 14, 2022

5.0

It's great. My company provides the license for this, and I used it for a while and decided to get subscription for my parents as well because how terrible they are with password management and how good LastPass is.

Pros

1\. I like the core features most, the autosave and autofill works really great on well built websites. I maintain two identities, one for work and one for personal to segregate the passwords and only be able to access the work ones when I have that identity turned on. 2. On top of this I also use LastPass to backup ssh keys, notes with sensitive information. 3. Lately I've started using it fill out address forms as well, works as good as anything else I've seen.

Cons

The Authenticator app that comes along with LastPass doesn't seem to have great support, while it serves it's basic purpose of generating TOTP for any website you need, there is no Apple Watch app for it. Neither does it send out a notification like Okta for authentication (sends notification only for LastPass Authentication). I'd like to see a Watch app in it's roadmap. For the time-being, Authy seems like a better app for TOTPs.

### "Secure your online presence with LastPass"

June 29, 2019

5.0

What is LastPass? The simple answer is LastPass saves your passwords to the cloud, secured by your individual login user ID and a Master Password. Setting it up is painless, merely follow the prompts at LastPass.com and you will quickly be on your way. Make sure you follow the instructions for adding LastPass to your favorite browser, and add it to the browser you use on every computer you use. When you get the extension added, click on it and log yourself in, and voila you have access to your saved passwords vault in the cloud. Now, every time you go to a site you use, the first time you visit and login, it will recognize the user ID and password you used, and ask you if you want to save it to your vault. Change your password? No problem! Upon successfull login, LastPass will catch that you have entered a new password and ask you if you want to update your saved password. As the user ID and password is saved to your own private vault in the cloud, you now have that password to access the site again, from anywhere, meaning you don't have to remember it anymore or worse, write it down. Very useful for sites that require frequent password changes and sites that have odd password requirement. Removes the burden of micromanaging staff password choices by your IT department - they will thank you! Multiple logins for a site is supported, it includes a robust, easy to use form fill feature, and it offers to generate on its own super-secure passwords for use as well.

Pros

Available everywhere, LastPass is offered as standalone desktop software, and much more importantly, as a browser extension. Even iOS and Android have LastPass available as an app, with Android offering integration throughout most apps on your mobile device.

Cons

For personal use, I shy away from subscription-based software. I'd rather pay once and get to use it. Luckily LastPass for personal use can be used for free. For a business, the subscription however pays for itself in terms of productivity gains and reducing headaches and trouble tickets for your IT staff.

### "Does what it says and should do. No real problems in my experience."

June 3, 2021

4.0

Very happy with these guys... as i mentioned, it's not 100% perfect and very rarely there is something small that might annoy me like having to correct the username or email address that the extension decided to replace with half of each, i.e.; half of the email address AS the username. All you need to do is literally click on it and correct it to either or (username or pword) in full and save. So not even really an issue actually. Very nearly perfect extension.

Pros

That you can have multiple Google/Gmail accounts open and this thing keeps them from cross contaminating each others hacker or suspicious activity sensors from causing issues between one another. It gets rather upsetting and tiring to have to update your password with a recovery 10x a day but now its just once for each account... maybe 2 on a rare day but havnt had many bad day experiences with these guys. Solid App... not 100% perfect but closest I've seen in this type of Apps category.

Cons

when it wants to use half of an email address you used and then offer to save that instead of using either the proper nickname or user name or full email address that you used. Doesn't happen very often, very rarely actually but is annoying none the less and thats the only thing I could think of to fill in this question that asks you to name the least liked. Not bad for the least liked only to be something that I actually dont really see as a major dislike worth mentioning even. So well done guys.

Reason for choosing LastPass

It had good ratings and I DIDNT HAVE TO PAY ANYTHING?? Why you mention purchase in previous Q as well... now you got me worried.

### "LastPass is the best Password manager in the world."

November 6, 2022

LastPass allows me to save and manage all my personal and business passwords in one place, making my work and life easier.

Pros

I like being able to save all of my passwords and other login information in one place, especially with a lot of passwords i used before, now its easy to use them without the fear of losing them, i have a master password for LastPass, that i remember, other password i don't have too, LastPass do the job for me and keep my mind clear and focus on work, also the way the extension worked with every browser i use is a blast, work very fast especially the autofill feature, i login to websites very quickly.

Cons

The only complain i have is that sometimes LastPass have problem with some websites detection.

### "Great password storage for the average adult"

March 16, 2022

5.0

Pros

LastPass provides the ability to store passwords in the cloud for retrieval over many devices. This allows for users to create unique, complex and long passwords for each service they use without the worry of having to remember them. This as a result vastly improves the average user's security because they will have difficult to crack unique passwords for every service. So even if 1 password is compromised others are not. Before using this software I had a number of hacks on a few services i used because one password shared over many websites was compromised. Since I moved to lastPass this hasnt happened. Its also very affordable for family use offering very cheap family packages and allowing sharing between users. I use it with my whole family and since the whole family has switched we haven't had any compromised passwords. Finally its very easy to use. Which does provide some security flaws but is in my opinion a great compromise for the average user. Often security and ease of use collide, i think that Lastpass handles this in the best possible way for the average user

Cons

Simply the fact that passwords are stored online rather than in an offline repository could provide an attack vector. But this is offset by ease of use and password sharing between devices. I also don't know the physical location that the password server i use is located. This could compromise my accounts to foreign actors.

### "LastPass is the Last Password Management Software your Team Needs"

May 21, 2021

5.0

LastPass did a phenomenal job of solving the problem that our business previously faced–– sharing passwords with too many people. Every time we shared login information with others, we were facing a potential compromise if freelancers lacked character or their email accounts had been hacked. Thankfully, we never had bad luck. LastPass is a great form of insurance for helping business owners have peace of mind.

Pros

LastPass is a fantastic software solution for so many reasons–– My chief use of it is so my team doesn't have to personally know all the various passwords to websites and SAAS solutions our organization uses. Certain users have access to using different sites without knowing what the passwords are. This makes me feel much more secure hiring freelancers. It also really helps to be able to safely give more access to our company resources for colleagues.

Cons

With some lower-grade freelancers I hired, they had a harder time figuring out how to use the software to log into websites that I had requested from them. LastPass is not completely foolproof, but it is the best alternative to keeping your login information safe when sharing with workers.

Alternatives considered

[Bitwarden](https://www.capterra.com/p/210695/Bitwarden/)

Reason for choosing LastPass

I considered Bitwarden as a free alternative, but sometimes open-source solutions can be harder to tailor for use with teams. Lastpass clearly came out as superior with its long array of team-sharing features.

Switched from

[Bitwarden](https://www.capterra.com/p/210695/Bitwarden/)

### "LastPass is the best password manager!"

May 18, 2022

4.0

The overall experience with LastPass has been very honest. When signing up, I was hesitant to purchase this program, knowing several programs are cheaper with similar features. However, having been on this program for less than 6 months, I have enjoyed and am happy with the product.

Pros

The features that are most important are the simpleness of the program and two-factor authentification. This program provides the customer with an easy to use website and app that is very simple to use. This could and will attract customer as it will influence people to join LastPass. two-factor authentification is a critical feature that should exist of each and every platform to ensure that passwords are safe.

Cons

The only disadvantage to this software is the price. In the same price range, there are several similar password management apps that offer the same experience. Whilst, LastPass is an excellent program, many competitors are showing similar experiences for cheaper prices.

### "Recommend for those new to password management, experienced user may seek other options"

October 7, 2021

4.0

Overall my experience with LastPass has been positive. I switched over from using KeepPass when I acquired a year long LastPass subscription through a bundle purchase. The seamless cloud synchronization and reliability of browser extensions was a positive compared to the open source KeepPass solution. After my subscription expired I continued to use the free version of LastPass until they announced free accounts would be limited to a single device, after which I purchased a year of LastPass premium. With my current year subscription coming due I believe I am going to start researching other options to see if I can find something that meets my needs at a better price point.

Pros

Very simple and easy to setup and deploy. The browser extension and phone apps make using LastPass a easy way for most people to have secure access to all of there passwords from any device they might use, the autofill options will eventually result in making the entry of secure unique passwords easier than manually typing in a short non-unique password. LastPass has a free tier of service so it is possible to explore what they offer before commuting money.

Cons

The free tier is only usable with 1 device so to get any real value out of LastPass compared to other free options you will need to pay. The yearly subscription can be pretty expensive for the service they provide. The passwords are stored in their own cloud service which some may not consider a feature depending on your level of paranoia.

Switched from

### "Reliable password management. LastPass is on top of things."

July 23, 2021

5.0

I have a very positive experience. Using the tool for the first time was very intuitive, I didn't need any tutorials or help pages. I also never ran into technical issues and the LastPass team informs you of important changes and news from the 'online security' world. Very good customer service, I love how professional and customer-centered LastPass is.

Pros

What I like most about LastPass is how easy it is to quickly create secure passwords and manage them with a few clicks. The auto-saving of passwords is a nice feature as well, saving you a lot of time. I know LastPass uses the highest password encryption and security standards, that's why I rely on this tool. I've had too many issues in the past because I used bad passwords. With LastPass I know I'm using the right kind of passwords and I don't even need to remember them.

Cons

LastPass allows you to access the tool on one device as a free member. Since I use desktop more than mobile, I activated in on desktop. It would however be nice to be able to use LastPass (as free user) on both without having to choose. I understand it's part of the 'upgrade to get more' business model, but I'd love to see this.

### "An affordable and efficient password management tool"

April 13, 2022

4.0

In the beginning, it solved the need to manage all my passwords and made it easy to login without looking everywhere for a specific password, on any of my devices. Again, those features are very well integrated into Apple's devices that they quickly became obsolete. It is still a great tool, with additional features that Apple doesn't offer...yet.

Pros

I like the user-friendly security dashboard with the security score that allows you to spot weak passwords. the (highly customizable) password generator is good to have, although Safari generates strong enough passwords on its own. The MFA (multifactor authentication) makes me feel confident that my passwords are well protected.

Cons

Little by little I feel that I need the software less as Apple is doing a good job at password management with password generators, bank details autofill, and keychain. Since these features come up with any Macosx or IOS, I decided to stop using Lastpass.

Pros

It somehow has found all passwords everywhere, having set it up that way, and that's vital to me. Additionally, it notifies me of any issues, great or small, and I can instantly check them out. It is awesome. Then, I can decide what steps to take if any, and that is just as easy.

Cons

I forgot my masterpass once and had a terrible time getting entrance. I even got on the phone but then they were able to help me. But, that is precisely why I use them. So, it really isn't a bad thing but at the time, I was not pleased...until I got back in!

### "LastPass the best and most secure password, data and file manager"

December 20, 2021

5.0

I have been using it every day for two years and I really love it. LastPass is very easy to use, it has an excellent interface, the password management is amazing, I no longer needed to remember passwords and my accounts now have very strong and unique passwords, as it notifies me of my duplicate passwords. Right now I use LastPass in my business, as I can safely share passwords with my employees without fear that they might do something wrong.

Pros

What I like the most is the management of passwords, I no longer have to memorize or think about passwords, since LastPass saves and generates them automatically. Now I can organize my passwords, data and files in folders, categories and filter them for a faster search and also everything is very safe, thanks to the security monitoring in real time I know when my passwords, emails or sites have suffered security breaches and everything is corrected automatically.

Cons

The free version is very limited, but the "Premium" plan is very cheap for what it is worth and sometimes it does not recognize websites or mobile applications.

Reason for choosing LastPass

I chose LastPass because it has so many features that it greatly simplifies my personal and work life at an affordable price.

### "Last Pass - just simplifies your security"

March 30, 2022

5.0

I've used Last pass for a very long time and it's met my every need. The ability to sync and fill passwords on any device is amazing. The security check-ups happen automatically and non-intrusively, so you can feel safe.

Pros

I love the security audit of passwords. It's easy to see which sites are at most risk with simple or duplicated passwords. Makes it easy to keep on top of your security. It's also great to see breach detection alert you to compromised credentials without you having to go search for it.

Cons

There's no dedicated desktop app, and the only way to use it is with a browser plugin. I would love to see a Desktop app with global shortcuts to enable filling of credentials into non-browser based applications.

Reason for choosing LastPass

Primarily the price, but I prefer the way that Last Pass integrates with the browser over most alternatives.

I wanted a cloud based data sync that had good cross platform usability. Having the mobile application and credential integration in iOS and Android is a must.
