Pros I liked the ease of use in creating and sharing password collections; adding new passwords to your collection/safe is quite easy Cons The browser app/extension isn't very UX oriented. You can login quicker and safer. LastPass is consistent and secure. It's the most affordable password manager service that I've found. Cons Occasionally, the auto-fill fields pop up at the wrong time. It's only slightly inconvenient. Also sometimes it will update a password incorrectly or one that shouldn't have been updated, however...you can solve this by resetting it manually. LastPass is solid for the most part. We have had a mixed experience. The functionality on the enterprise version has changed at times without much customer education. Suddenly, we will find ourselves unable to share folders in the way we have in the past and we will have to rearchitect our processes. Some of our employees dislike the platform a lot and end up having problems accessing sites that they thought they had saved - it isn't the most intuitive product. However, some of our other employees love the functionality and have found it to be just what they need to organize their work. Overall, a mixed experience on the enterprise version. By far, Lastpass is the easiest one to setup and work with. I use lastpass with most of my devices and hapily store my secure information and passwords there. Cons I had several issues with the tool so far. 1. There is very limited functionality to export information in the file therefore making migration (if needed) impossible. Although it is not needed, I would prefer to have this functionality working properly if it's present in the tool. 2. The work of the program itself is a bit slow and needs technical improvement. SDR Computer Software Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Almost perfect" July 6, 2020 5.0 Overall I would absolutely recommend LastPass to anyone, business or personal, it makes life so much easier. Pros This software is great, it integrates with almost everything, in-browser and across multiple devices. I've never come across such a good way to store passwords securely and simply, so that I can mostly log in to everything or create new accounts so fast. Every password I create now is super secure and long and would be impossible to remember without LP, but with the integrations, I never have to. The software is particularly useful because of how many pieces of other software are now SaaS rather than native. In past jobs, I would log into a server and have access to programs. Now I have to log onto many different SaaS platforms every morning. This would take forever if I had to type them all out, would encourage poor passwords to remember them easily and if being secure they would have to be written down or stored somewhere. Cons The android app is a little sketchy and doesn't always allow copying over passwords as an overlay or automatically like iOS. The sync seems to be a little off, if I add passwords on my PC first, they don't get synced to my phone, but they do the other way. Pros I was a LastPass user for many years and liked it a lot but they increased the price and now I don't use this product anymore. Cons The cost and that there were a very limited number of Favorite sites. It's really nice that you can create folders and share passwords and accounts easily with team members. Cons If someone leaves the company you're working for and doesn't transfer the password over, it's difficult to recover it without changing the password for that account (assuming you know the username). July 28, 2022 5.0 Pros I have been using Lastpass for awhile now and I absolutely love it. I use it for both personal use ad well as for work. I love how it’s simple to use and gives you the ability to use a premade password made up by the software - all the passwords they come up with are super complicated and lengthy which makes it extremely secure which is fantastic. This software also makes it easy to delete or change each password credentials. I also love the price - super affordable! Cons Nothing! The whole thing is great and I have no complaints. Now everything is is LastPass generated and stored safely in the software. Pros The ability to have multiple users linked to an organizational account, and those users being able to instantly access passwords for important sites without actually SEEINg the password is so extremely useful for keeping company information safe when their is an employee departure from the company. No need to change passwords or worry about someone accessing from the outside. I particularly enjoy being able to generate a password without thinking about it and it always instantly filling the fields for that login in the future. If you choose not to have LastPass make passwords for you, the warning for duplicate passwords or passwords this match your master account password is super useful as well. Cons I recognize that the purpose of LastPass is to grab and store your passwords for ease of use, but sometimes I get multiple requests to store a login even after I have requested not to. Pros This software has made password management simple and easy. By only having one master password to remember, I can create more complex passwords for all accounts that in the past I would have forgotten. A particularly good feature is the automatic pop up to add a new account into LastPass when I log in via my browser. This prompts me to remember to save my password into the LastPass dashboard easily. Cons There is nothing that i don't like about this software. It has allowed me to increase my security by choosing more complex passwords, and eliminated the need to write passwords down. For home use, the free plan really does work well. Cons Limiting the free plan to 1 "type" of device was a horrible decision. Pros I was very hesitant to put all of my passwords into one location - after all, isn't the saying "don't put all of your eggs in one basket", but I did a bit of research and found that LastPass is a reliable and trusted tool. From the day I signed up, I have never looked back. I am able to store the ridiculous number of passwords that I need to remember and have access to them whenever I need. It is easy to save and update information and there are lots of tools that help you to keep your information secure. Cons I honestly have no complaints about the software. It saves them in an encrypted format so that only the authorised user can access the list of saved passwords. Cons It is a simple Password manager and it could be more helpful if there was an automatic saving of passwords upon being changed like in the Chrome password manager.
