### "Lsatpass is a great tool but a bit expensive"

September 13, 2022

5.0

I've been using Lastpass since 2016 and i don't want to change at all. Maybe the price is to high, they changed it when Logmein bought the company but is still the best one.

Pros

Sharing password functionality was the main reason to select this product. You can share the acces to sites without sharing the password. Autofill is also great for people like me who goes fast.

Cons

The recovering main password process is difficult and sometimes you are not able to recover it.

Alternatives considered

[1Password](https://www.capterra.com/p/176113/1Password/)[Keeper Security](https://www.capterra.com/p/144637/Keeper/)

Reason for choosing LastPass

We choose Lastpass because it is the only password tools that supports sharing the passwords without sharing the password, I mean, you share the password but you can select if you allow to see the password or not.

### "Great password manager!"

April 29, 2019

4.0

It was so good that I also started to use a second LastPass account for personal use!

Pros

With all the tools I use at work or personally, and with all the different policies that every website/tool has, it can be a real challenge to have complex passwords. This is not an issue anymore as LastPass keeps your passwords for you so you have to memorise only one (the main one). Not having to memorise any password also give you the possibility to use incredibly complex passwords you would never be able to remember. You can also had more security with 2-step verification (this is actually very recommended considering it holds all your passwords).

Cons

There has been a few time when I was told to update my password extremely frequently (like several times within a week) while our company policy was not having such requirements. It seems I was not the only to face this issue in the company. In another case, having several email accounts, the password of one of my account was updated with the password of another account. There was a popup though asking for confirmation but without thinking too much (and also believing it was a popup to add a new account, not to update one), I clicked OK too fast. Maybe having some different popup style for new accounts and updated accounts could avoid such issues. More generally, as for any password manager, not remembering the main password could be an issue. Also, if anyone was able to hack LastPass, they would have access to many more passwords.

### "MAKES LIFE EASIER - PERSONALLY AND PROFESSIONALLY"

May 11, 2021

5.0

Overall I love LastPass. I did try a few others before I knew that LastPass even existed. If I remember correctly I found it via a yahoo or google free trial. I use the premium version obviously but my daughter uses the free version which is still very very good. I have a lot of passwords and except for the auto login annoyance there isn't anything I'm not happy with. And I realize that the auto login is an excellent feature and it's definitely needed. My feelings about it may not be the norm but just unique to me. The price is great, the software is intuitive and easy to use so it's a no brainer. Definitely something to look at if you are in the market for something like this.

Pros

This software does not require a lot of time to set up initially. You don't need to sit there for hours inputting your login and passwords. Once you install LastPass it will prompt you when you are at a login page as to whether or not you want to save the data.

Cons

There is a button in which you can use to auto login. There are a couple of annoying things about auto login: 1. You have to look under the advanced settings to turn it off/on. It should be, in my opinion in a more prominent area on the page and not in an area that is hidden until you click on it. 2. My other issue is that I have several logins for some of the same websites. Auto login happens really fast so sometimes you have to logout and login again to get in the account you need at that moment. It's worse when you have 3 or 4 logins and it's like playing Candy Crush or Tetris but unfortunately this isn't fun.

### "A handy tool to keep your password in one storage"

August 1, 2022

Lastpass is a good choice if you're looking for a tool to manage and secure all of your passwords and secure notes. There is a free plan if you only need to work on one device; however, you can upgrade to a higher plan for a $3/month (multi-device plan)

Pros

\-Easy to use -Access all passwords in one wallet -You only need to remember one master password -Add more security with Google Authenticator

Cons

I think the customer support need a lot of improvement in terms of response speed and support

### "Integrated Security Across Teams and Devices"

March 3, 2022

5.0

Pros

In an era of constant cyber security threats, intentional password management has become a necessity for our organizations, and a tool that allows us to securely distribute access to different systems, and enable our teams to maintain more advanced and complex passwords (without having to individually memorize a 30+ character alpha-numeric string) is essential to ensuring security adherence across our systems.

Cons

Some sites do struggle to enable autofill of passwords, which requires users to need to copy and paste their usernames and passwords, but otherwise, we have very few issues with the tool.

### "Keep your passwords/notes secure "

December 2, 2021

5.0

Pros

Cross platform applications that allow you to fill passwords, secure notes are great way to build a secure wiki of information. Robust MFA compatibility, easy to use mobile application and browser extensions. Corporate plan includes family plan access for employees, which is a nice touch considering they've limited the capabilities of their free offering. Secure password generation is a must have feature.

Cons

Doesn't always fill in password fields correctly. Mobile app sometimes will not fill passwords or save passwords I've entered.

### "This app is the ultimate set-it-and-forget-it solution. Easy and intuitive to use"

February 2, 2018

5.0

Pros

Online password management tools are an important tool for anyone using the internet. They get rid of the problem of utilizing the same password for multiple websites, plus they often mean the website hacker breaching one of your accounts, or stealing your online identity. I have been using LastPass for a few years now, so here is an overview of the app. LastPass is a cloud-based password managing solution that features many features to simplify your online experience. This app is the ultimate set-it-and-forget-it solution. Easy and intuitive to use and very convenient.

Cons

Cloud storage might not be everyone's cup of tea. The app operates on almost any platform, (Windows, Mac OS, Android, iOS (Premium), and Windows Phone (Premium). LastPass stores your data on the company's servers (called the Vault). This is different from other online password management tools which store your computer data in files on your device. This setup holds some benefits for individuals who dislike complexity: first of all, there's really nothing you must do except register and install the browser plugin. This technique has its own drawbacks, however. Individuals cautious about storing their passwords on the company's servers might feel at ease with another password management solutions. However, LastPass has taken care of immediately these concerns by making certain that information is encrypted together with your master password.

### "LastPass required for business!"

April 28, 2022

5.0

Overall, a great experience. Though support is not often needed, when it is attempted, it is sometimes not directly helpful.

Pros

Easily generating and then saving complex passwords makes this a no-brainer for using LastPass in general. Add to that, the business version, allows the retention of passwords of employees who may leave the company. This allows access to critical software that the employee may have been the only registrant. Also, sharing of passwords can be controlled, monitored, and recalled. Much better than passing around a spreadsheet!

Cons

Some websites don't play well with the plugin. Sometimes I have to cut and paste the username and/or password to get in since autofill does not work on these sites. I also dislike that the "..." appears in odd fields sometimes in applications. It usually appears over the dropdown, so thus invalidating that option.

Just secure, easy to access anywhere, great support, cross platform, super secure and a pleasure to use.

Pros

They have always been my 1st choice. Cross platform, user friendly and easy to access.

Cons

I use LastPass for my Laptop and it was free for mobile also. They changed to only being able to use on one devise which wasn't really a problem. But I did have to find an alternative for my phone.

### "Your last password manager you would have to buy"

June 3, 2022

4.0

Pros

Last pass was referred to me by a coworker. I had a bad experience with the last one but when I used last pass and I was pleasantly surprised by all the features and tools available. Always prompted me to save an entry when I went to a new site, allowed an easy access point from the browser to manage passwords, and most importantly, I am able to access this from Multiple computers and mobile devices.

Cons

I keep getting prompts about my passwords being used in multiple locations. I wish there was a way to disable this feature. I understand the reasons for having them.

### "A near-perfect password manager"

November 19, 2018

4.0

I've used Lastpass for 3+ years and it has been a huge help in ensuring my security, and the integrity of my many accounts, are preserved. LastPass is an excellent tool that I highly recommend.

Pros

\- The cost has risen since I originally started using it, but it is still very competitive. Great price. - The mobile app is near flawless at being able to input login credentials into any website and app. On the rare occasion when it doesn't work, I can easily log into the mobile app with my fingerprint and copy the needed password. - The ability to not only store secure password, but also secure "notes" is very useful. Especially for writing down keys or answers to security questions. - The chrome browser app is excellent. - LastPass has a security audit feature which checks all your passwords to tell you which should be changed (based on duplicity, simplicity, recent security breaches, etc.). Very helpful!

Cons

\- The web app is dated. It has received an update recently but, overall, the web app is still clunky. Luckily, I hardly have to open the web app because everything can be handled from the chrome and mobile apps. - The chrome app, as great as it is, tends to stop working from time to time (once every 2 months or so). So, over the course of the 3+ years I've used the tool, I've had to uninstall/reinstall at least 10 times. - The auto-change password feature has never worked for me. It's touted as being a great feature, but until it works, it is useless.

### "Ryan's LastPass Review"

December 30, 2021

5.0

Very positive. Our failed login attempts and frustration across the organization has been significantly reduced. LastPass creates a 'Single Source of Truth' for our passwords and logins.

Pros

Ease of use. The power to generate strong secure passwords and the how easy it is to safely share them among associates.

Cons

Some administrator tasks can be a little confusing. For admins, it takes a little while to get the hang of some aspects of the product. The conversion between "new dashboard" and "old dashboard" can be tricky.

### "Very good solution nowadays"

October 16, 2021

4.0

Overall, very good software and browser extension. Ok price for what it gives. Up until now, our information stays private and secure. I just wish the interface and usability were better. Helps a lot on a daily basis.

Pros

Managing all passwords and secure notes from one place. Being able to use on different devices. Browser extension is crucial to use it properly on PC. Alerts about duplicate passwords and other alerts help educate on best practices for security. I love the emergency access, lets you define someone else to access your account in case you die / disappear (after a waiting period you define).

Cons

Browser extension alerts can be quite confusing. Duplicate passwords alerts on browser extension are annoying and prevent you from using passwords during some seconds. Automatic changing passwords never worked, I think they discontinued. Could be easier to delete passwords in the duplicate passwords list. I did not like the fact that they were free to use in unlimited devices, then they changed (have to pay to use in more than 1 device). Of course it's up to them, but was a little bad move since it would take ages to move all my passwords to another solution (technically if the passwords belong to me, they should allow downloading / exporting).

Reason for choosing LastPass

At the time, LastPass was also free, but was more reliable. I had problems with Google Password, very insecure (at the time).

### "The best among many annoying options"

March 8, 2022

5.0

It is a godsend in a world awash with threats. There is no way I'd be able to securely manage the hundreds of login credentials I require any other way.

Pros

LastPass is the best way I've found to make many, many passwords accessible and keep them organized. I also find the ability to generate and access long, complicated and very secure passwords invaluable.

Cons

The most annoying aspect of LastPass isn't really about LastPass. It's about the way browsers handle its integration. Use is fairly stable over time, but browsers and individual sites regularly change login protocols and the way LastPass functions on any given login page will vary over time.

Switched from

[1Password](https://www.capterra.com/p/176113/1Password/)

### "A helpful password and secure notes manager"

October 7, 2021

4.0

LastPass is my favorite password manager app. It is quite functional, secure and overall easy to use.

Pros

I have been using LastPass for more than 5 years now. I store all my passwords and critical information such as bank details in this app securely. As the app contains very sensitive data it is important to have the app itself secure. LastPass has multiple layers of security for accessing the app even if you know user email and password. LastPass allows to store passwords for various apps and websites securely. This is very critical as cyber attacks are very common these days. LastPass is saving user details such as username and password automatically. This allows less steps when signing in to the same app/website for the 2nd time. Within the app there a extensive amount of functionalities which allows to have different level of security for different data.

Cons

\- The app design is a bit outdated. - In some instances it is not possible to log into the app in the first try.

### "Feel secure with your passwords and identity"

May 20, 2021

4.0

Overall I couldn't do internet life without it! From Banks, work sites to free account sites, I need a vault for all of these passwords. LastPass does that.

Pros

Keeping unique passwords safe is no longer a concern with LastPass. Now I feel comfortable using complex passwords and know I've not used that password for other sites. Also having it automatically populate the username/password on most internet sites is really nice. LastPass also provides a password check to go through all your passwords and tell you how many are old, been compromised (publicly known hacked sites), used on multiple sites, etc. That helps you when you get a notice that an email/password combination for one site was compromised. Change for that one site, verify what other sites use that password too (shouldn't but we do, right) and change to be more secure and prevent hackers getting into your sites, stealing identity, etc.

Cons

Not being able to log into lastpass for free on both mobile and desktop. I understand the company need to make money. Searching through many passwords saved can be hard at times but overall can find what you are looking for. Haven't seen new features for awhile so maybe something being worked on in the backend of the software?

### "Must-have"

November 20, 2021

5.0

Love the bridge between desktop and mobile that this provides. I feel confident using it, when it is available.

Pros

I don't know how people use the internet without this. It is critical for remembering all your passwords across sites. Once Chrome told me my passwords were too similar, I knew I needed more than I could remember myself. Browsers can manage passwords, but not as securely and across apps and devices like LastPass.

Cons

I wish it worked in more places. Pop-out sign-in windows, some apps that don't allow password filling, and some sites it just mysteriously doesn't appear on... Why? I need that info, and the fingerprint scanner on my Pixel doesn't always work to open the LastPass app, so I get frustrated trying to guess or just give up and try later.

### "The Perfect Program"

December 26, 2018

5.0

Overall, I don't know where I would be at with my business without LastPass. I've used it for years and it has made everything seamless between my clients, my business, and my employees. Saves me more time than I can describe.

Pros

There are so many amazing features that it's hard to list them all. I love that LastPass automatically stores your password in the correct category so it's easier to find when you need it. The fact that it automatically pops up when you login using a password that's not saved, so you can hit one button and store the password is very helpful. It's also amazing that you can share passwords with someone so easily and they can share with you. The fact that the free version is so useful, really urges people to want to support the company. It doesn't feel like they're trying to cheat you. Some companies will make their free version sound too good to be true but, not LastPass.

Cons

The only complaint I have after being a long term user of this program is the fact that when you update a shared password, you have to resend it through email. Although I see the usefulness in this, it has confused a few of my clients and caused a mess more than once. Maybe an easier way to update these passwords is to ask the user updating the password if they would like to share the update with those it's shared with. Then, it can automatically update it for those they want to still share it with and those they don't. It could make it less confusing.

### "One of the unsung heroes of my app list"

May 29, 2019

5.0

As someone who uses a ton of web apps for my work, as well as logs in to dozens of websites for media consumption, shopping, and all the rest of online life, LastPass is critical to helping me stay safe and sane at the same time. I know maybe two of the passwords LastPass has saved for me, with LastPass remembering the rest. My accounts are much safer for using this app, and my life is also easier. There's no downside here.

Pros

From a security standpoint, LastPass changed the game for me. Where once I was the kind of person who alternated between a couple variations on the same password for everything, now every new signup I complete has a secure password that I'll never remember and will never need to remember. LastPass remembers for me. The sharing features are great, making it a cinch to get whatever passwords I need to whichever users need to use them, and the whole process is just so easy. LastPass autofills my passwords in the browser and on my mobile device. I just about never need to think about passwords or logins anymore. I suspect the time savings this offers, while modest on a per instance basis, add up to something significant over time.

Cons

LastPass is just a little inconsistent and finicky. Sometimes the sharing feature doesn't work very well, so you'll need to wait a while before the other party can log in. Sometimes the autocomplete feature won't work because the Chrome extension is trying to display some sort of message. Minor annoyances only, but annoyances all the same.

### "The Epitome of Convenience"

September 24, 2018

5.0

I'm quite satisfied with LastPass Enterprise and I recommend it to anyone I know. It's something I personally cannot live without, and I use it daily.

Pros

LastPass Enterprise is a very useful service that allows users to enter all of their passwords for any account they own on any website on the web. The service is extremely secure, and also has a free version which is very suitable and well equipped for personal use. This product has essentially changed the way I work on the web. I never have any issues when it comes to remembering passwords and accounts. I can also access this information from anywhere I want, including my smartphone with the LastPass app. The service also automatically updates and secures any changes made to your passwords, and can randomly generate effective passwords if needed. It also gives you tips on how to make good passwords, when it's time to change passwords, or if there too many duplicate passwords for multiple accounts (security tips). Overall, the service is extremely vital for modern technology, where we can potentially have hundreds of accounts with different passwords. There's simply no convenient way to store these all and update them in realtime. Lastpass serves to keep this security and does it perfectly without issue.

Cons

If there are any cons at all it will be that the service is quite expensive and has problems living up to the competition which offers more at the same or cheaper cost.

### "World best password manager is LastPass"

October 12, 2022

5.0

Pros

If you worry about your Facebook, Gmail & any other website password remember or write on a page or some very common passwords for your account like- name123, dogmybirth123. This kind of password is easy to guess hacker easily hack your account, and take all of your important information from the website. Every year millions of websites hack and their data is sold on the dark web for 1 or 5 dollars. This is very easy for anyone to access your life and take control of them. That thing is created LastPass which I am using for my password management and it easily does this task for me, I don't need to worry about password storage or thinking about new passwords for every new website because in this world time is more valuable than anything else. And I don't want to waste them on the just password. LastPass auto-generates a password for me and saves also in a secure place that now one access without the master key. that thing gives me a reason to use LastPass. I am using this for a very long time. Everything is good and great for everyone.

Cons

If something is great for everyone that has a negative side also. One biggest reason for the switch is now you can only use LastPass on a single device you can't sync multiple devices with their free plan. You need to pay for them to use LastPass on multiple devices.

### "Do you log into more than 1 system daily? LastPass is your BFF, then!"

July 28, 2022

5.0

LastPass allows employees that are required to log into multiple systems/portals to do so with ease. Keeping up with password is difficult when you have multiple applications to navigate. Writing down passwords is unsafe and not at all secure. LastPass is the only way that I can keep up with the 20+ passwords that I have to enter on a daily basis and helps my team of agents do the same. Safe and convenient.

Pros

As a supervisor for a team of insurance agents, I have to log into 20+ different systems/portals daily. My agents have to log into even MORE systems daily to complete their enrollments, verifications, etc. Keeping up with all of those passwords (especially when it comes time to change each one when they expire) can be a nightmare! LastPass has literally saved sales for my company and team by helping an agent access a password to an enrollment platform that they were unable to log into. With this many system/portals, we could not function (or it would be incredibly frustrating and difficult) without an application like LastPass.

Cons

On some portals, I have to put in a verification code after successfully entering my username and password. LastPass will often try to update my password to the verification code that the portal required of me, which would make my password incorrect for the next login attempt. This would be my only con identified thus far.

### "Amazing software for password protection"

November 30, 2018

5.0

Overall I am really happy with this software and would highly recommend it. I really like having all my passwords stored in one place and to not have to remember them all is fantastic!

Pros

I have so many passwords and with software I don't have to remember any of them. It can create very secure passwords so you don't have to think of one and It can be as many characters as you need it to be. I really like that the phone app uses my fingerprint to access my passwords so when I need to access a site to log that's all I need as it use to be a challenge when using apps that requires passwords. I like that it recognizes passwords that are weak and can search your system for ones that should be change to be more secure. I like that it is integrated with your web browsers so when you go to a specific website that requires a password Lastpass already has your username and password for easy login.

Cons

I understand that Lastpass is a super secure website to store all your passwords but the only thing I don't like is the process or lack there of to recover a password if you forget it. I don't want to have to delete my account as this was the issue I was facing a few months ago. I ended up getting my IT department to help out but for a personal user to have to delete there whole account for forgetting a password is not good. There should still be a secure way to recover a password without having to delete your account.
