It's so amazingly functional and smooth to use, it let's you create the most complicated passwords and have them all managed by the tool which is providing high security as well. Pros I like that I can share passwords with my coworkers for joint accounts we share. Cons It can be difficult to manage the permissions of sharing and use. Also, the plugin for Google chrome, while sometimes useful, pops up ALL THE TIME, and can get in the way, especially because I do not use Last Pass for my personal passwords. Review Source KF Kyle F. Pros Having my passwords in both windows, iPhone and iPad and also authentication codes for my sites. Works great. Cons It's not as fluid as you would like but gets the job done. Sometimes it freezes with mozilla explorer and it's slow on iPhone but does the job. Cons I actually dislike the logo on my browser. A big red square draws my attention constantly and makes me think there is an issue. Pros LastPass have a lot of good, one of the main things is I could use it on Linux which was a big plus. I also like that it has a two-factor authentication if you want to use that. This is great for training/employees. I also love that you can add credit/debit cards as well - again, great for training purposes! Cons Something that is small but significant to me is aesthetics of a website/software. I do not love the aesthetics of LastPass and it seems outdated to me. We use it to keep group log-ins central and protected. Cons Call me old-fashioned, but sometimes I get nervous keeping all my log-ins in one place. I am really happy to use this software. Pros LastPass gives me the ability to share my various accounts without sharing any of my passwords. Also, I can save all of accounts in LastPass vault. Normally, I use LastPass to share my social media accounts with my team mate. Now, they are using my accounts but I have no tension about the security of my passwords. Really a nice solution from sharing access. Cons Absolutely getting no problem with LastPass. The concept of this software is incredible! But, struggled to use this amazing app first. Digital Editor Newspapers Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Don't pass on LastPass, it's free and handy" April 6, 2019 4.0 I enjoy LastPass a great deal and as I previously mentioned, it's one of the better (free) apps on the market that allows people who have terrible memories for passwords but don't want to use the same similar passwords and compromise their security. It's better than 2FA, it's easy for tech-challenged people to use and it's free. Pros LastPass is great in that's it is more secure than 2FA. The 2FA craze of 2017 and 2018 was great for promoting the general idea of internet security, but 2FA is ridiculously easy to circumvent. LastPass is the only password security app I would actually feel OK promoting to tech-phobic older relatives. It's clean and easy to use, and is doing relatively well as a company. Cons The very thing that makes LastPass secure can be its downfall, in that if a use doesn't link any logins to the LastPass profile or authorize the plugin to accounts with passwords, that user would be unable to reset their LastPass profile account should they forget their LastPass password. So in other words, if you start to use it immediately start logging passwords and never ever forget your LastPass password. Review Source CW Chris W. June 9, 2017 5.0 Safe and secure management of passwords for multiple sites. Pros Easy way to manage 50+ passwords I have for multiple personal and business logins. I can open the vault and login from there which really speeds things up for me in the course of a day. I use it to generate complex, secure passwords to help prevent hacking and identity theft. Easy to use and great to be able to use across all devices. Cons Sometimes cannot autogenerate a password when opening a new site so I have to create a password and then open the vault to initiate a secure password change. Review Source SH Sarah H. I rely on apple keychain for a lot, but this has helped us have the same usability across operating systems. I wasn’t very impressed, I felt that it was cumbersome. I use a competing product which I think is simpler, more intuitive and more reliable. Pros It seems to have some interesting features, like safe login through the platform and some web browser add-ons. Cons It feels cumbersome. You just set it up once and it automatically asks you to add your passwords. It makes the login very easy. Another thing that's very cool is that they have an App for your phone and it all works simultaneously. Cons The interface can be difficult to navigate through in the beginning.
