### "Absolutely indispensable password/notes manager. "

January 17, 2018

5.0

I manage hundreds of passwords - some I use every some I haven't used in years. But I only know a few of them. LastPass lets me be blissfully ignorant of the frustrations of password management by just handling the whole process for me.

Pros

Cloud-based, so it's everywhere you are. It stores EVERYTHING. I can sit at a new PC or a spare one in the office, and in a few seconds, have access to all of my bookmarks, passwords, secure notes... It's instant, always available, and very smart with its automatic logins. Clearly, security is a big concern when you allow one program to know all of your confidential information - especially a cloud-based one, so the 2-factor authentication is a must and works seamlessly with your mobile device. No need to sync, easy to share, always available across all devices and takes your privacy seriously. That's a win all around.

Cons

Sometimes the Chrome plug-in feels clunky. It doesn't always snap right to the results you ask for. The Firefox plug-in just feels more polished somehow. The mobile experience isn't nearly as seamless as the desktop platform, unless you're using the LastPass browser, but it's still superior to other password managers I've seen at any price.

### "Decent Password Manager for Business Use"

June 16, 2021

4.0

Overall, we have had a good experience, it does exactly what we need it to do.

Pros

LastPass was easy to setup and share passwords with varies types of users. Some users had read/write access and some had access to only be able to login using the password.

Cons

The interface was not the friendliest, a lot of the admin features are a little buried in the website. It seemed like Teams and Enterprise accounts were an after thought and quickly thrown together. It could be polished and presented a lot better.

### "A very good password manager!"

March 6, 2024

Pros

LastPass is one of the first software I install on any new device. I very much like it's ability to sync passwords across devices, including AutoFill even on iPhone and iPad. At the moment I couldn't do without it!

Cons

There is nothing not to like, really. I am a massive fan.

### "Stay secure and never use the same password across websites"

March 1, 2021

5.0

I use LastPass since I had a course about security in IT system as I realized how weak was the way I managed my passwords across the internet. Before using LastPass I usually had a same user and password across many sites without realize how risky was this behavior. Now I felt more secure dealing with many web sites that requires authentication as LastPass manages it for me.

Pros

I like the way LastPass integrates with every forms on web sites that requires user and password using an extension in Google Chrome. I let LastPass to create randomly and manage my passwords, I just need to remember the main password of LastPass that also has a second factor of authentication, which makes it quite secure. So I never need to remember complex passwords anymore and this increases my security across web sites as each of them have a different password. In case one of them is compromised it will not affect others. LastPass also integrates with my Android mobile device so everything is synchronized and safe.

Cons

A single point of failure is a concern when user one password manager, but I try to keep the LastPass main password very unique and strong and also I have second factor of authentication to protect even more the main password.

### "Game changing tool."

July 23, 2019

5.0

Seriously, a game changer for our team. Allows users to have access to their own passwords vaults on both their PCs, Macs, mobile devices. But then we also have shared accounts that we manage as a team. It's nice to be able to share and manage those accounts, so when a user leaves the company, they're not taking credentials for these accounts with them. It's been a great tool for us.

Pros

LastPass makes keeping track of passwords possible, even for a team using shared accounts. For the most part, it handles creating / managing sites completely on its own. Easy to share / export lists or vaults. Makes it possible to manage access to passwords when a team member leaves the company, etc. Has been a great tool for us.

Cons

It can be a little cumbersome to setup the first time, but it's not because of the tool, just because of the amount of information that needs to be entered.

Switched from

[KeePass](https://www.capterra.com/p/151987/KeePass/)

Pros

The LastPass app and browser plugins work seemlessly together across whatever device I'm using. On mobile, it allows for app passwords, not only websites.

Cons

### "So Glad I Took the Plunge"

April 26, 2021

4.0

I had been hearing about password managers for a few years before finally taking the plunge. And boy am I glad I did! Using a password manager has saved me a lot of headaches. LastPass was one of the top ones my peers mentioned the most, so that's the one I chose. My overall experience has been quite satisfactory.

Pros

I love being able to use strong passwords since I don't have to make them up myself or remember them or write them down in secret code - and then type them out to log in. LastPass does all that for me! Not only will it store and fill passwords for all your online accounts, but you can have it generate strong passwords with the parameters you configure (i.e. number and type of characters). Each password listing also includes a notes field which comes in handy. Although I have not used it that often I like the option to store other data that LastPass can autofill for you in online forms such as your address and contact info and card number. For backup outside of LastPass, you can at anytime export a CSV file of all the info you've stored in LastPass.

Cons

I can't think of any major complaints. Only, the mobile app was not very convenient for me. I mainly use the browser extension on my PC.

### "Give this to your parents for Christmas"

December 12, 2018

5.0

Pros

I love that I can access all my passwords via one secure master password. It works on my phone, in my browser. It auto-completes on websites (and importantly this can be disabled per domain)and generates secure passwords during signup. I can login to the website if I need to access a password on the move, and I set my dad up with LastPass and I know his master password, which makes all of his inevitable daughter-tech-support phone calls much much easier to handle. My favourite feature might be the form-fill feature, so I store addresses and cards and LastPass autocompletes forms for me. I hate filling in forms while online shopping or signing up to services because I never remember my details, but now I don't have to :D. It's also great for securely sharing passwords with others.

Cons

My main complaints are related to user interface. The admin panel is difficult to navigate and confusing, but fortunately other than initial setup, you don't spend too much time interacting in the admin panel, so it's manageable. The chrome extension also crashes occasionally which is annoying but turning it off and on again usually fixes it.

### "Lastpass Enterprise- The Best Password Manager!"

January 21, 2019

4.0

Lastpass Enterprise gives that extra layer of security. Because it's very secure and also helps to generate very unique and secure passwords, it helps to keep my accounts safe. The passwords sharing feature has always made is easy and convenient to share passwords with colleagues.

Pros

The one thing I like most is that I no longer have to remember all the passwords I use for my numerous accounts. This is very convenient and good for security because it means I can now use very strong passwords generated by the app and not worry about forgetting them. Another great feature is how it can perform security audit for weak passwords and offer to change them to more secure ones. I also love how Lastpass allows us to share passwords. This is a very cool feature that we use regularly, especially where multiple users need to access the same account. Lastly, the mobile apps are well designed, are easy to use and works flawlessly.

Cons

I've encountered situations where the app fails to save passwords for certain sites. The only way I've been able to solve this problem is by manually entering the password into the password database. The Chrome extension tends to crash a lot for reasons I don't seem to get.

### "Excellent Password Manager-Easy to Use"

October 5, 2022

5.0

Overall, LastPass keeps my passwords secure and has a great autofill. It also is helpful to see where you are reusing passwords or have weak passwords.

Pros

LastPass is very easy to use and has a great app and desktop experience. I have used a few other softwares, but LastPass seems to have the best interface with mobile and desktop. The autofill on mobile and desktop is very useful and works most of the time.

Cons

When the app gets logged out on desktop or mobile, it can be frustrating when the autofill will not work. It also used to be free for several devices, but they now charge for this feature.

I become a paid user about a year ago because I use it literally every day on my laptop and phone. It is very handy to have all your passwords on the phone whenever you need them.

Pros

It is easy to save all passwords, bank cards, important notes, etc. which are available everywhere even on the go on your phone. You only need to remember just one password and LastPass takes care of the rest.

Cons

Sometimes there is a problem with pre-filling some forms but it is very occasional.

### "Efficient and Secure: LastPass Simplifies Password Management"

March 15, 2023

5.0

It has been great for me in terms of managing my passwords. I used to write a whole lots of passwords in my diary to remember multiple passwords for different accounts and would often resort to using the same password for everything, which I knew was not secure. But with LastPass, I can generate strong passwords for each account and easily access them across all my devices. The autofill feature has also saved me a lot of time. I appreciate the additional security features, such as two-factor authentication and the security dashboard, which provide me with peace of mind. Overall, I would highly recommend LastPass to anyone looking for a reliable and secure password management solution.

Pros

What marvels me is it's ability to securely store and autofill passwords across multiple devices and platforms. The service also allows users to generate strong passwords and share them with trusted individuals without revealing the actual password. This really amazing to me.

Cons

Interface and usability can be confusing to navigate sometimes when you are new to the platform and especially when setting up new features. Few syncing issues across multiple devices but overall its a thumbs up.

### "Makes my life so much easier!"

April 10, 2021

5.0

LastPass has saved me so much time since the moment I started using it. I used to have a password-protected word doc that I would copy/paste my login info onto - if I remembered or felt like taking the time to open and unlock it, which often didn’t happen. This asks if you want to save new login info it detects you entering and automatically creates an entry for that software, including a link to the page. It’s also very secure so I feel safe using it. I’ve recommended it to people in the past and had them thank me months later for recommending it to them. (Hey, whatever I can do to make people’s lives easier while also supporting a company I respect...)

Pros

I don’t use this through work but I’ve had a personal account for at least 5 years now, and store both personal and work passwords in it. I absolutely LOVE that I never have to write down or remember another password again. And the auto fill feature (on both desktop and mobile) makes this software so easy to use!

Cons

Nothing. I love everything about it. (And no, I don’t work for this company, just a big fan 🤓) Granted, it’s the only paid password storage software I’ve ever used so I don’t have much to compare it to, but I love everything about it.

### "I never think about passwords with LastPass"

July 19, 2019

5.0

We use LastPass daily. To work with teams I don't know how we'd manage without it. We'd probably live and die by the "Forgot Password" option. It's quick to setup passwords and to manage them after the fact. At least a few times a month I hear someone complain about password management. I can't recall the last time this has been a problem for our team.

Pros

\- The ability to manage a team with shared passwords - Allow access to passwords without the ability to see them - Create shared folders for specific teams - The password generator - The Authenticator app which auto logs you in without entering a code

Cons

\- The mobile version at times doesn't work seamlessly with apps requiring multiple login attempts

### "Lastpass is essential"

January 7, 2022

5.0

Lastpass lets me no longer keep a paper list of passwords. It will generate strong passwords for you, and when you change a password at a website, Lastpass offers to update the password in Lastpass. I use the family plan so I can share some passwords with family members while reserving most passwords for myself. I feel much more secure with Lastpass, and it is much easier to maintain login security now.

Pros

Lastpass not only stores passwords, it also works as a list of bookmarks or favorites for all your sites that require a login. Lastpass integrates into your browser, and you click on the icon, search the first few letters of the site you want to go to, and the site appears. Click, and Lastpass autofills your user ID and password. This is sooooo much better than having a paper list of passwords!

Cons

My only regret is that it took me so long to start using a password manager at all. You should definitely use the dual-factor authentication feature, because before I started using dual factor authentication, Lastpass would stay active even if I shut down my computer and turned it back on again. That means a thief could have turned on my laptop and had access to everything, which would have been awful. With dual factor authentication, Lastpass is disabled any time the computer is restarted and re-enabled when you conduct your dual factor authentication.

### "It used to work better, but performance has changed recently"

November 4, 2021

4.0

It's definitely a great way to have all my login data in one place. I need to investigate more into the issues I am having and maybe someone can help me resolve them. I have a super busy schedule so I often don't have the time to spend with tech support, with back and forth communication.

Pros

I can use the app on laptop and mobile, so wherever I am, I can log in to an app or an account, look up a password, etc. It's affordable and not overpriced.

Cons

Lately, the autofill function has not worked well, especially and almost always on the mobile app. I always have to jump back and forth between Lastpass and the App or website to copy and paste login info. It's a slow inconvenient process. It also doesn't seem to update very quickly when I change a password, and the search function for finding a site doesn't work very well. A lot of times it can't find what I'm looking for even when I'm using a keyword I know is used at least once in the data record.

### "This tool is just perfect for those who forget"

October 2, 2018

5.0

It's a great tool that made my virtual life a lot easier. I have to remember only one password now, I don't have to be concerned about my security and I always can easily access all of my logins. I'm very forgetful, that's why LastPass is so fantastic for me.

Pros

I always forget stuff. And when you have dozens or even hundreds various tools to use, you either forget your passwords, or use the same one. Well, I'm all about my privacy and safety, so using one password was not an option. That's why I started using LastPass. It's just fantastic. You set it up once and then it does all for you. It will create you especially difficult passwords, every time it will be a different one. And only you'll be able to access all your tools and logins. LastPass will fill everything for you. It definitely makes your life easier. And it works on all platforms! Android, iOS, Windows, Mac, even Chrome OS that I use sometimes! It's fantastic!

Cons

Sometimes LastPass might crash on Chrome OS. It's fine on Windows or Chrome browser but on Chrome OS it's a bit less stable. However, not many people use that OS, and I don't use it that often too, so I'm absolutely fine with that.

### "Indispensable, essential security tool, but still has some quirks."

September 5, 2017

4.0

Peace of mind. Security.

Pros

Everyone needs unique logins for every website and service we use. This is the easiest to master tool for creating and managing passwords or across devices that I've tried. It's also the least expensive. The pricing tiers (basic essential tools are free) prove that LastPass as a company is committed to making the Internet a safer place for users, not just to make money. Advanced functionality is paid for by the companies that need it, not by average consumers. This makes me loyal, and I've paid the yearly fee even though I don't absolutely have to. Customer service is also excellent and responsive, particularly on Twitter. LastPass has also finally addressed some UI problems with their iOS app.

Cons

Logins and passwords are not always captured, or saved. Doesn't happen very often, but it does. In addition, I have an ongoing problem with WordPress.com. My main account is on the subdomain, en.wordpress.com, but when I go to simply wordpress.com, LastPass doesn't list that login as one of the saved ones. Very frustrating, and hasn't been solved in the years since I reported it.

### "Last Pass is the worst"

July 6, 2021

2.0

It’s a terrible program. There’s no reason to pay for it with the current feature set.

Pros

It’s nice that there is at least some free functionality because it’s not worth paying for any functionality from Last Pass.

Cons

Overall functionality, ease of use, and tech support are terrible. As a browser extension, it slows down the page speed. Tech support is virtually nonexistent. Now having to pay for using it on multiple device types is a waste of money. In theory, it’s a neat idea. In reality, it’s a waste of time because it takes multiple attempts to send or receive an invitation, there’s no easy way to talk a client through how to troubleshoot it, and having multiple accounts just increases the headache.

### "Password Management Made Simple"

April 2, 2020

3.0

LastPass for Business software has helped me run my business without disturbance due to login issues. If its cost and complexity of password requirements can be reduce, it make LastPass for Busines more ROI friendly and easier to use. Another advise would be to integrate with Google Chrome or Internet Explorer browser by creating a plugin which can be installed into one of those browsers seamlessly. So, the browser can remember LastPass for Business password, so user doesn't struggle with resetting it.

Pros

I login to multiple email accounts and different kinds of software almost daily to update my e-commerce website, blog and to provide virtual support to my customers. So, I need to remember several passwords to run my business efficiently. LastPass for Business has been effective in managing all my logins and passwords so I don't have to keep resetting them. If I forget username or password of LastPass as well, then their support team helps me reset it by sending me a password reset link. In this way, my business processes are never interrupted due to login issues and I don't have to write my passwords anywhere.

Cons

There are couple of challenges I face when using the LastPass for Business software to manage by usernames and passwords. Firstly, I have to spend a portion of my budget to get access to the software. Secondly, its password is not easy to create because it has to meet a complex criteria of having a mix of numbers, alphabets, specials characters and at-least 14 characters long. If I forget it and reset, then I have to create a new one which is not the same as old one. Finally, if i forget my LassPast password as well as my email password, I won't be able to reset it on my own because I can't access support's reset email.

### "All your passwords in a single click"

February 16, 2022

4.0

I have used several password managers in the past and LastPass is the one with the best technical support and reputation, LastPass is ideal for people who use many accounts on different devices, one of the advantages of LastPass compared to the competition is that it saves passwords not only those you create and capture from the web version, but also Wifi passwords.

Pros

Today our emails contain a lot of confidential information, bank account numbers, social networks, etc. What I like about LastPass is that it creates new passwords or suggests one that is very strong so it's not easy to crack and you don't have to worry about stealing your password, LastPass has a simple and intuitive interface, the account icons are large and easy to search on both the web and mobile versions. One of the options that I like the most is how easy it is to share a login credential with another user.

Cons
