REALTOR(R) Real Estate Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Real estate focused solution with easy-to-use web interface in Top Producer X version" October 10, 2020 4.0 The sales and support interactions were all excellent, at every step of the way, from initial sales contact to following up to make sure I continue to be successful. Their sales and support people know their product roadmap and have input to product developments. This shows their product management is on point. Good product management is the key to having a system which will support their users continued success. Pros The contacts are easy to import and easy to set up in the Top Producer X web version. I enjoy seeing my email conversations within the contacts. It is a good addition to my normal work environment, using Win10 touchscreen laptop. I keep Top Producer X as one tab open in a Chrome web browser alongside social media and property information throughout my working day. The layout makes it easy to update information and next steps for multiple clients and contacts. Cons The web version doesn't have all the features of their legacy 8i product. They have an active development team working on porting features from an older system (which is still functional) into the newer system I started on, Top Producer X. Mobile version still needs updates to newer interface. Text messages sent from the TPX CRM are hard to view and act on responses on my mobile device. It's not perfect, but I have trust that they will incrementally provide updates that solve these issues and more. Out of all the companies I talked to when I searched for a CRM, Top Producer has the most real estate focused solution. They appear to be invested in supporting real estate activity as their primary market. Pros I like the ability to not only keep track of my contacts but also the functionality of to-do lists for listings or closings based around listing date, or around mutual agreement date. There is literally no one to EVER speak to on the phone for customer support....it's all Live chat. They lie and tell you you'll get a certain amount of leads a month to get you to sign up, then when you don't and ask why, they tell you it's over the duration of your contract. So, you're stuck paying for a service that's terrible to begin with and not even getting any of their crappy leads anyway. January 13, 2024 5.0 Great customer care for years. After shopping and working with many other platforms it felt great to have people at customer care that I literally know by name and can trust. I was being passed along from one intern to the next with the other platforms. Listen, at the end of the day I want the best for my clients. Top Producer is the best I have found and gets the job done! Pros Customer care is the best! Easy to use. And the best "team" compatability that I have found in a crm. I'm fresh out of shopping all the top brands and systems out there too! Literally invested over 10k trying other systems in 2023 and have found Top Producer is the best for my team. Team task sharing, and seaching and sorting lists for my database is so easy! Cons It didn't seem to be as cool looking as some of the new products out there. I did fall for the idx feature within the crm being awesome...and I still think that is a cool feature that other programs do have. But if the basic functionality of a crm cannot happen as well as Top Producer, I can't fall for the fluff and risk giving up top producer features. It is generally quite easy to use and find things in 8i. TPX has proven to not have all of the things we need to run efficiently so we have reverted back to 8i. Pros I like that the calendars are accessible to our whole team so we can see what others are doing, and also the customer database and ability to write notes. It is also a good central location to find all of our transactions and listings. Cons Lead management isn't as easy as it could be, the agents don't tend to use it that much. Review Source MC Mark C. October 29, 2022 3.0 I had every intention of notifying TP that I would be continuing on within my 30 days. However I got super busy that last week and just spaced making the call on Friday while I was running around with clients. I realized over the weekend I was supposed to call, so called on Monday to notify them of my cancellation. To my absolute disbelief they would not accept my notice at 33 days. I was forced to pay them $85 a month for the next 11 months even though I did not use the platform. I was beyond angry. 12 month software as a service contracts are total b.s. and exist to benefit the vendor and the vendor only. They could point to the fine print and say it was their right not to cancel. Not an agent-centric company and the platform is mediocre. Pros This was my second go around with TP with a 10-year break in between. I noticed that they had finally revamped the platform and it appeared to meet modern crm standards for agent needs. They were still requiring a 12 month commitment, which is just nuts these days, especially when putting a new app through the paces. Cons They did tell me I could cancel within 30 days if needed, which was good to hear. However, I realized at the end of three weeks the platform was not for me due to the lack of two-way texting functionality and the out of area number they provided for the one way text. Also, the Market Snapshots had terrible deliverability. The branded market reports are now sent through agents' email accounts, which dramatically improves deliverability. Regarding texting, two-way texting is available. And you are assigned a free Top Producer® phone number for your local market area. Any text messages you send from Top Producer® will come from this number. Any replies or calls back to that number will be routed to your cell phone. If the number you were assigned was out of area, we could change that for you. They have completely derailed our systems, lost our data and cost us a lot of additional dollars and headaches. Pros Originally it was highly customizable and worked great for decades. Constellation Real Estate Group purchased the system and botched the data transfer. They lost all of you historical communication email and letter templates and were unapologetic about how much this cost my team to recreate. Then to top it off they doubled their prices. Cons it is down all the time and the keep scaling back the features to try to get you to sign up for their new system which is a Joke! Reason for choosing TOP PRODUCER We when with TP over 20 years ago and are now looking for alternatives as it is no longer a viable system and overly expensive - Constellation also owner Market Leader so that is probably in the same boat. I am very disappointed with Top producer 8i. Pros address book feature, email, recording closing data Cons The program takes about 5 minutes to load now, once I click on email. Time is money. it takes too long to load since the data transfer/ email migration to a newer software program, back in Mar /April 2022. I saved my closings on the Closing tab--about 80% of my data disappeared? I asked for 2 months creditin Aug 2022. I was supposed to get my 1st free month credit on 1 Sept 2022, as promised from customer service--it did not happen. I was still charged $58 on 1 Sept 2022. I had to email top producer, to fight for my 2 months free credit again. I probably will be charged on 1 Oct 2022 for $58, then I will call back, to request for my free 2 months credit? I wonder if customer service and accounting/billing are communicating w/ each other? Look elsewhere CRM's are cheap this is a rip off. Pros nothing, the only redeemable feature was the calendar sharing, however google calendar integration broke and they have not bothered to fix it. Their calendar app is garbage, adding appointments in is the equivalent of nails on a chalk board, using it absolutely sucks! Cons Expensive, outdated and abandoned by it new owners. Customer service can take from 1-3 days to get back to you, their new platform has again been abandoned since their bread and butter is their 1990 8I platform, witch has some decent legacy features like label making but who knows when that breaks and gets left behind too. There is a bit of a learning curve to configure the settings, import your contacts, and setup the software. It includes well-documented support and regular training sessions that offer an ongoing refresher. The Market Snapshot and Action Plans help diversify my marketing mix and spark strategic follow-up conversations. This CMS software makes a solid supplement to the CRM our brokerage provides. Cons My clients have said the Market Snapshot reports look clunky compared to similar valuation alerts they receive. Granted, it works well and the numbers are on par with other AVMs; however, the front-end UI could use some modernizing. I also dislike how Market Snapshot only integrates with TP Websites, which are again very limited versus similar options. Really wish there was a simple widget to easily embed this functionality. Lastly, I hope there will be self-serve billing options in the future. Calling or emailing in with updated payment info is rather inconvenient. Reason for choosing TOP PRODUCER More robust CRM software suite than other real estate Contact Management Systems. The lead nurture Action Plans are easy to automate and customize.
