Realtor Real Estate Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "Top Producer Lands on Top" August 8, 2025 5.0 Pros What is great about Top Producer is that is allows you to tie your whole day together - schedule overview, to dos, client follow ups, conversation logs/client notes, and your CRM, plus your current listings and transactions. Cons The least appealing part about Top Producer has nothing to do with its capabilities, but simply the lack of an app. The desktop site is fully functional on mobile, but having to navigate to the site, login and wade through the desktop site on a mobile device is nowhere near as efficient as an app would be. Agent Real Estate Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Misleading, Unethical, and a Complete Waste of Money" July 17, 2025 1.0 Misleading, Unethical, and a Complete Waste of Money I signed up with Top Producer based on their promises of providing quality leads and real value. Unfortunately, my experience was the exact opposite. The leads I received were either completely unqualified or nonexistent. It felt like a bait-and-switch from day one. When I asked to cancel my contract due to the lack of performance, they refused—locking me into a service that did not deliver even the bare minimum. Their support team was unhelpful, dismissive, and clearly more focused on collecting payments than actually helping agents succeed. This is nothing more than a money grab. Save yourself the time, money, and frustration. There are better, more transparent services out there. Top Producer is a textbook example of how not to do business. Pros Honestly, not much. The platform looked promising at first glance, but unfortunately, the experience didn’t live up to the expectations. The leads were poor quality, support was unresponsive, and the refusal to cancel the contract was extremely frustrating. Cons The entire experience was unprofessional and frustrating. The leads were completely useless—either fake or totally unqualified. When I asked to cancel my contract, they literally hung up the phone on me. Their customer service is dismissive and disrespectful. It’s clear they’re more interested in locking you into payments than actually providing value. Total waste of time and money. They have no idea about CX" July 22, 2025 1.0 When I first started in 2007, I loved this product and company. Essentially TP has become the Blackberry of techonology for real estate agents. It's not worth the money. The technology is dated, they are so far behind other companies. There is no such thing as client experience. To have to call back to talk to a supervisor. When cancelling my account. I'm told I have to wait TWO business days to have someone else cancel my account. That's after waiting 30 minutes on the phone. This used to be a good product until they were sold. Pros nothing anymore. This was a good product until technology started to change. They didn't keep up with the times. Cons there customer service is terrible. They have been over billing me and I had to call back to talk to a supervisor because supervisors don't call clients. back. Pros Ability to send very targeted emails using the categories Cons I wish I didn't have to back and forth between 8 and X, but that's ok, I've learned them both and what X cannot do. The main search only pulls up primary last name whereas advanced search will pull up secondary last anme. After shopping and working with many other platforms it felt great to have people at customer care that I literally know by name and can trust. I was being passed along from one intern to the next with the other platforms. Listen, at the end of the day I want the best for my clients. Top Producer is the best I have found and gets the job done! Pros Customer care is the best! Easy to use. And the best "team" compatability that I have found in a crm. I'm fresh out of shopping all the top brands and systems out there too! Literally invested over 10k trying other systems in 2023 and have found Top Producer is the best for my team. Team task sharing, and seaching and sorting lists for my database is so easy! Cons It didn't seem to be as cool looking as some of the new products out there. I did fall for the idx feature within the crm being awesome...and I still think that is a cool feature that other programs do have. But if the basic functionality of a crm cannot happen as well as Top Producer, I can't fall for the fluff and risk giving up top producer features. January 22, 2024 5.0 Pros Top Producer is easy to use - and you can't "lose" clients when you have input their date correctly. I have been using this for 23 plus years. They continue to make improvements and their support has ALWAYS been the best. I love the chat box - very quick and efficient. Cons During the changeover from TP8i to TPX, I lost a lot of data - lost a huge library of letters and emails. However I did not lose any contacts or any of the info pertaining to sales. As far as emails, since I use gmail, those emails could still be retrieved if needed. The library of letters lost were the ones I was not consistently using. Review Source JM Jill M. It is generally quite easy to use and find things in 8i. TPX has proven to not have all of the things we need to run efficiently so we have reverted back to 8i. Pros I like that the calendars are accessible to our whole team so we can see what others are doing, and also the customer database and ability to write notes. It is also a good central location to find all of our transactions and listings. Cons Lead management isn't as easy as it could be, the agents don't tend to use it that much. Review Source MC Mark C. Broker Real Estate Used the software for: 2+ years ### "TP's primary concern is locking agents into 12 month contracts before all else." October 29, 2022 3.0 I had every intention of notifying TP that I would be continuing on within my 30 days. However I got super busy that last week and just spaced making the call on Friday while I was running around with clients. I realized over the weekend I was supposed to call, so called on Monday to notify them of my cancellation. To my absolute disbelief they would not accept my notice at 33 days. I was forced to pay them $85 a month for the next 11 months even though I did not use the platform. I was beyond angry. 12 month software as a service contracts are total b.s. and exist to benefit the vendor and the vendor only. They could point to the fine print and say it was their right not to cancel. Not an agent-centric company and the platform is mediocre. Pros This was my second go around with TP with a 10-year break in between. I noticed that they had finally revamped the platform and it appeared to meet modern crm standards for agent needs. They were still requiring a 12 month commitment, which is just nuts these days, especially when putting a new app through the paces. Cons They did tell me I could cancel within 30 days if needed, which was good to hear. However, I realized at the end of three weeks the platform was not for me due to the lack of two-way texting functionality and the out of area number they provided for the one way text. Also, the Market Snapshots had terrible deliverability. And regarding the other concerns you mentioned, we just released an upgrade for Market Snapshot that doubles and triples deliverability. The branded market reports are now sent through agents' email accounts, which dramatically improves deliverability. Regarding texting, two-way texting is available. And you are assigned a free Top Producer® phone number for your local market area. Any text messages you send from Top Producer® will come from this number. Any replies or calls back to that number will be routed to your cell phone. If the number you were assigned was out of area, we could change that for you. CD Chris D. They have completely derailed our systems, lost our data and cost us a lot of additional dollars and headaches. Pros Originally it was highly customizable and worked great for decades. Constellation Real Estate Group purchased the system and botched the data transfer. They lost all of you historical communication email and letter templates and were unapologetic about how much this cost my team to recreate. Then to top it off they doubled their prices. Cons it is down all the time and the keep scaling back the features to try to get you to sign up for their new system which is a Joke! Reason for choosing TOP PRODUCER We when with TP over 20 years ago and are now looking for alternatives as it is no longer a viable system and overly expensive - Constellation also owner Market Leader so that is probably in the same boat. Cons We need a tad of patience - the sophistication of Listing & Actions plans experienced in 8i is not yet available in X - which forces old users like me to navigate between the two versions to fully complete my work ( not ideal but bearable for the time being) - while Top Producer may not be offering the most user friendly product, you would be hard pressed to experience the power and sophistication it conveys with any of its competitors - like anything worth having, there is a learning curve with it and it is 100% worth it - the blessing in disguise is that you are never alone, the support team is the best I have witnessed in my life and I have been a Realtor for over 30 years - while the staff is unbelievably knowledgeable, they have agreeable personalities and they have the talent to listen carefully and explain patiently - rare for nerds LOL! Reason for choosing TOP PRODUCER I try to keep abreast of all that is going on and ways to improve...X came into the picture after a tad of "stagnation" with 8i...I was considering leaving when X started to beef up the features and I started to see its future potential I started to use Top Producer when it was not yet "online" ( TP6 on floppy disks), the product(s) have come a long way since, continuously adapting to the times and the needs newly revealed.... Service started really dropping off by 2021. By 2022 we now have daily down time (they know about it because they openly admit to in in their emails in response to our service requests), no way to speak to a live person, and REALLY slow response times. They're cutting services, reducing usage, losing functionality....all while raising their user fees and no longer even speaking to their customers. Actively looking for a better option ASAP. Pros I used to like how easy the software was to use....it USED to be top-of-the-line software for those of us in the real estate business. Cons 1\. No live help (their "live chat" has never actually been helpful) 2. WAY too much down time. 3. When you try to get help with one version that's down, they try to get you to switch/upgrade to a different version of their software. 4. Fewer and fewer things function properly. 5. VERY slow online support; ZERO billing support. ZERO phone support. Reason for choosing TOP PRODUCER It was 15+ years ago....I don't remember. Regarding Top Producer Classic (8i), we maintain the functionality for as long as possible. Sometimes we have to sunset features due to external factors (e.g. Google making API changes), and sometimes it's just not technically possible to support certain features, as they're based on 15+ year-old technology.
