It's improved our SEO performance, and that means more visitors, more customers, and more revenue. It pays for itself. Pros It offers us so much value as we improve our SEO: - It tells us about issues with our site e.g. missing alt text, title text is too long, or images aren't compressed. - It shows us keyword opportunities - how hard is it to rank for certain terms? How does our site rank in comparison to competitors? - There's a really good community around Moz. It's easy to talk to one of their support agents and there's a forum as well. Cons It costs quite a lot of money, and it's charged monthly. So if you don't use it for a couple of months, you'll have lost a fair bit of money. Pros Moz is able to track all 5 of my sites, which is a better bang for the buck than other tools. It has a robust amount of features including keyword research, page recommendations, and many others. Cons For those who are most interested in keyword research, Moz can only do 300 as compared to other softwares. Pricing is a bit high for it, but it's comparable. The UI is a tad confusing too. March 30, 2020 5.0 As a Digital Marketing manager, I have to explore various tools and pick the best one based on the features provided and also taking into consideration the price. Moz is still a very good tool with good UI/UX however there are a lot of alternatives to this. Pros The biggest asset for Moz is easily its community,you add a question there and you will receive a variety of choices in no time. Having said that, Moz is a good tool for SEO and the it the way it represents data is cool and easily readable. Cons If you have been in SEO for sometime there is nothing in particular to dislike about MOZ because all most all the other tools match up to it. Pros Use this everyday to check Domain Authority/Page Authority and to download long lists of SERPs using the MOZ toolbar. Also use the Rank Tracker tool for a quick check on a sites rankings for multiple keywords. Cons I could be using a lot more of the features, but find it difficult to navigate as there's too much! Though it may not be a Majestic or AHREFs, there are features that are rather unique like the Spam Score. Cons Poor navigation structure can make it difficult to find the tool you are looking for. Another great feature is showing you which of your keywords can qualify for rich snippets knowledge graph, etc. In Google. They have the ability to track keyword history which is very useful and compare that to your competitors to see where you are lacking. Cons While the software is good, I don't think it warrants the price tag. I would rather pay less for less features. Many of the features in Moz, I simply don't need. Pros The software is very intuitive and easy to use and includes all of the basic features you could want in an SEO tool—keyword tracking (the core functionality), backlink explorer, and a handy keyword research tool. Moz is also incredibly affordable compared to more enterprise solutions. Their training and support team is wonderful and they offer tons of great FREE resources on SEO training, best practices, etc. Cons That being said, Moz is not an 'enterprise' level solution. I've worked with Moz for an internal team and on the agency side, and I've worked with a few other solutions as well. If you work with large sites/data sets or manage multiple clients, I've found better luck with true enterprise products. Where otherwise you would have to communicate simply how many things you have solved so far like 404s and canonical tag errors, instead you can show them the graph and it speaks volumes for you. Cons Site-wide scans are helpful but they are limited in each payment plan so it would have been nice to be able to designate a staging site that you can test on where you can run site scans for free. Instead, you feel a pressure not to waste the scans for the month which doesn't feel too good and you have to always do finalized testing in a production environment. Review Source MN Mélissa N. Pros It's got everything you need to improve your site's search presence, with tons of information available - but you don't need to be an expert to get value out of things like the browser toolbar. Pros Moz Pro has a more intuitive & user-friendly interface than other SEO tools and is a great option for an in-house team of mid-level SEOs - people who aren't necessarily looking to dive deeply into the super nitty-gritty stuff. Cons The estimated keyword volumes seem to be much lower than those reported by the other tools we use. The number of ranking keywords also seems to be less than what other tools report for many URLs. I also use it for competitor research and to find new keywords to target. Moz is a great tool for researching the competition and finding new keywords to target. Cons Moz is not a powerful tool for keyword research as semrush. While it can show you what keywords are being searched for, it cannot help you determine which ones are the best to target. But after he left, Moz has kind of been passed with Ahrefs and SEMRush who offer more advanced features, a better UI, and cheaper prices. Pros I liked how Moz was able to detect technical SEO issues that I had with my website, and it picked up some additional issues that weren't found with Ahrefs. The site audit feature is also very good. Cons The data doesn't seem to be as accurate as with Ahrefs or SEMRush. The interface is outdated and clunky. I don't like the 'Moz Spam Score' metric, which is not used by any other SEO software or Google. It appears to be an outdated metric and is only updated every 3-6 months - in the world of fast-pasted SEO, that is too infrequent for my preference. I also don't like that I reached out to customer support and just received a generic copy-paste response that didn't address my query at all. Switched from [Ahrefs](https://www.capterra.com/p/176340/Ahrefs/) I tried out Moz again to see how it compares to Ahrefs for SEO and keyword research but ended up returning to Ahrefs instead. Pros I liked Moz Pro because of how easy it is to sort keywords based on volume, ranking, etc. If I want to change up my SEO strategy, MOZ Pro makes it easy for me to do that. Cons The cost. We have used along with ahrefs and found moz results to be more accurate - we have also been able to generate more opportunities for backlinks for ourselves. Pros The update index and link tracking capabilities that have been added to moz over the last few months makes it absolutely indispensable. For a SEOers, tracking link quality and link updates is the first port of call. Moz is now the best tool that does that Cons The pricing feels slightly expensive but I guess the utility is also very time bound. Nothing apart from that.
