### "Remote Desktop Manager"

July 24, 2026

5.0

Once the issue of IT not being able to view my screen Remote Desktop Manager has been great. My team regularly uses it for guidance and IT issues while in the field.

Pros

Remote Desktop Manager has been a lifesaver for in the field issues. When me or my team have issues in the field our head office is able to remote into our computers to see/fix any issues.

Cons

I had an issue with Remote Desktop Manager as originally my organization blocked screen viewing. It took a lot of troubleshooting to figure out what the issue was preventing me the ability to share my screen with IT.

### "Remote desktop manager Rocks!"

September 26, 2024

5.0

My Experience with RDS has been great so far! it's a great product! you rocks!

Pros

you have in one place all your own and customer's servers connections. Thats is so great! and the spectrum of types of connections is also amazing!!

Cons

performance, in some VM's is it slow to use it.

Alternatives considered

[ManageEngine Remote Access Plus](https://www.capterra.com/p/241075/ManageEngine-Remote-Access-Plus/)

Reason for choosing Remote Desktop Manager

lacks of many features that RDM has already.

Switched from

[TeamViewer ONE](https://www.capterra.com/p/194565/TeamViewer/)

it's a much better product. not even in the same league.

### "Remote Desktop "

December 3, 2019

3.0

My overall experience with Remote Desktop Manger is good. The capability to work from home and access my files on my work PC has helped with completing projects on time.

Pros

What I like most about this software is that I am able to access my work computer from home. My home PC doesn’t have all the programs and files I need to access when I am working from home. Instead of saving files on a flash drive and bringing it home, I can access the files directly through my work PC.

Cons

What I dislike most about this software is most of the time when I am using it, there is a horrible lag. I am not sure if this is because of the software or possibly the internet connection I use.

### "RDM Potentially the best :-)"

September 25, 2024

4.0

Enjoy it very much part from the passwords vie and the permissions management (subfolders - no traversal)

Pros

I like that I as an IT manager can centrally manage all remote connections for our users.

Cons

When trying to use it as a password manager, the view is very not comfortable. this is stopping us from migrating our passwords fully to RDM and use it as a central password\\secrets management.

Reason for choosing Remote Desktop Manager

Did not like the support and that it did not have a desktop client at the time.

### "RDM Empowers Operational Effeciency"

September 25, 2024

4.0

RDM has significantly reduce the operational overhead of session and password management. Team members have access to what they need without having to 'discover' resources.

Pros

Centralized control of session and supporting information. Ability to apply standard session recording and logging policies.

Cons

Low resolution, and no ability to upscale, session video recordings. This severely limits our ability to identify and improve operational workflows. Network scripting is limited.

### "Grateful and satisfied user"

September 28, 2024

5.0

Using it for more than a year as a free edition. Pushing it now to use in our company with additional team features and integrations with other products (like CyberArk Password Vault)

Pros

\- Functionality - Rich set of settings - Internal password Vault with a flexible set of variables to password cross using - Many modules for different session creation

Cons

\- Working speed - Not clear information about program settings and each setting particularly. Not in the program nor in the documentation sometimes. - Import / Export setting not supported via Devolutions Hub

### "A dedicated software for Teams Managing Multiple Connections"

September 15, 2025

4.0

My overall experience with Remote Desktop Manager has been very positive. It has significantly streamlined how I manage multiple remote connections, VPNs, and credentials by centralising everything into a single, organised console. The ability to securely store and share credentials with team members has improved both security and productivity. I appreciate the wide protocol support and integration options.

Pros

You can keep all your remote connections (RDP, SSH, VNC, etc.) in one place. Connections, VPN settings, credentials, and other settings can be organised through a console. This simplifies management.

Cons

It is slow when the software is first started or when working with large databases (many connection definitions, VPNs, credentials, etc.).

### "RDM rocks!!!"

September 25, 2024

5.0

It's great for patching many assets simultaneously.

Pros

I love the ability to remotely access so many assets at once and save those connections. I can export the file of connections from one application and import it into RDM easily and vice versa. Love the ease of use.

Cons

The URL feature sometimes makes you retype the URL into the address bar as opposed to opening it outright.

### "Must have for IT professionals"

September 25, 2024

5.0

It was recommended to me by a collogue to replace RDCMan and I loved it. It's now replaced and consolidated loads of other tools I was using.

Pros

It has so many features that have saved me so much time having to use multiple different apps for different services and put them all in 1.

Cons

Sometimes it can be a bit much. With all the different features, doing something simple can sometimes lead you down a rabbit hole which usually leads to something great but complicated.

### "Holy Grail of Remote Desktop Software"

August 22, 2018

5.0

I came across Remote Desktop Manager in my search to find a better solution to what was becoming a time intensive process of updating, managing and remoting into what was growing to be a substantially large number of various types of connections. After testing several different remote management platforms with great disappointment, I finally found Remote Desktop Manager and have never looked back. I have been using it for over 5 years now. Not only do I use it to manage all my connections but I can use it in a well laid out platform.

Pros

I can quite literally remote into a crazy amount of connection environments all within under a minute if I want to as well as a specific connection environment along with its specific VPN connection dynamically if I want without having to connect to that groups VPN first. Remoting like a boss isn’t the only plus to their platform. They have an extensive amount of tool sets one can use within each connection environment to use such as macros, scripts, management tools, command line tools, sub connections, logs and many others. The list of additional functionality is greater than one would be able to leave in a review.

Cons

The only cons I have come across over the years were there were a few times I found the version for Mac OS to be a little buggy but that was resolved timely and it didn’t affect the actual functionality of the software. Also, some of the macro and script help documentation could have been a little more detailed. However, the help documentation pertaining to this could have very well been updated since the time I needed further clarification which was when I first started using it. I have not needed to use it since that time now that I understand how to configure the macros and scripts within the software.

### "Nice experience. Metadata capable"

September 25, 2024

4.0

Nice experience. I am able to group like session(s) and move tabs on the fly!

Pros

The ability to input abundance of metadata is awsome. IP address, name, hostname, variables about everything. Like it alot.

Cons

The one CON is slow initiation when launching the app. I might be overly critical here.

### "Remote Desktop Manager - Utility for solving problems via screen share"

December 25, 2022

5.0

My overall experience with Remote Desktop Manager was excellent. It helped me to connect with the team members and helped to resolve the problems by collaborating with the team.On multiple occasions, I connected with a remote desktop and helped other teammates resolve their problems by taking control of their Systems. It has a quick response which provides a fast and smooth user experience.

Pros

Things I liked most about the Remote Desktop Manager are-Its quick response and less response type made it very efficient for fast connectivity.Affordability - The price range is not much high for a remote desktop manager, making it very convenient for users to use.Options for using shortcut keys over others' monitors on screen share help the other user to connect and resolve problems smoothly.

Cons

Things I liked least about the Remote Desktop Manager are-It limited the number of usage over the trial version. One can connect only for a limited time and a limited number of times only in the free trial.Another cons of the remote desktop was that it sometimes lags in the connectivity, which creates an issue and the user has to disconnect and connect again, which sometimes makes the user experience bad.

I've had a very positive experience with RDM and have been using it for many years. It's stable, powerful and secure - I wouldn't consider changing for something else.

Pros

Remote Desktop Manager is extremely easy to use and provides a single pane of glass to connect to my customers. It's a time saver and makes customer management much easier than before. Also, their support services are great. Any support request is promtly answered by knowledgeable support staff.

Cons

The software is sometimes slow when you have too many entires in the vault, which can make it heavy at startup.

### "Best IT-based tool I have ever purchased."

December 23, 2019

5.0

Because of its interface and capabilities, I have literally saved hours and hours of time every year since I started using it. I can't imagine doing my job without it any more.

Pros

Far too many to list. But list toppers are it's ability to integrate with LastPass, cloud-based database, and its UI configuration capability. It's hard to find anything that you'd want RDM to be able to do that isn't already in there!

Cons

I know when people love something and can't find fault, that they'll usually say the cost. I won't even do that, because it is worth every penny!!!

Reason for choosing Remote Desktop Manager

Features and cost. I've been using RDM for so long, I literally don't recall the different ones I found when Google'ing the topic. There was nothing that came close at the time! And, it honestly does everything I want, so I haven't and won't bother to look for a replacement.
