Pros: I've tried several different Instagram schedulers, and they all work virtually the same way. Later is similar, but the best part is probably its calendar feature. Its well thought out and visually very easy to get a quick grasp of your post schedule. It's also easier to use than many others I've tried.

Cons: The downside to Later is the Achilles' heel of the others I've tried: actually posting scheduled posts. Posting to Instagram is not like posting to other apps; the "scheduling" feature is more like a reminder to post a certain image or video that you've already created. You have to be present when the notification goes off to actually post it. This may not be a problem for some, but if you post on a different device than you carry around with you, it can present problems. Of course, if you post frequently you will need to upgrade.

Pros: Later lets you plan, schedule, and post content on your Instagram business account. No more hassle of having to continually go into the app overtime you want to post something to Instagram!

Cons: This software isn't necessarily needed, but it does save you time and is a lot more convenient than posting natively on Instagram. If money is an issue for you, I would forego using this software.

Pros: I Love that I can set up my Instagram post through the computer and automatically set it up to schedule it at a certain time! This has helped me so much in actually keeping my Instagram account current. I used to procrastinate posting bc of all the transfer my work from computer to phone to have to do so, but with this I can do it all from the computer now! Also, you can save your hashtags so you dont have to redo those each time!

Cons: The only thing I find I don't like is that if I automate it, I have to choose a cropped version of my photo instead of posting it full length as I can choose to do it if do it manually. I often do not like to crop my photos as I am a photographer and I like it to be shown how i shot it. I hope that get fixed in the future.

Overall: Posting from computer has been the best!

Pros: I really like this software for managing a business Instagram account. Has analytics, a media library to create posts from, day, week month views, and a search & repost feature. This is all on the basic (free account) plan.

Cons: You can only see 2 weeks at a time on the basic plan. It also says I only have 17 posts left so I'm not sure if that means I'll have to upgrade the plan after I schedule and publish 30 Instagram posts.

Pros: Very easy to use. The drag and drop option, which made planification very easy. But I think my very best featuring is the grid view.

Cons: The maximum of 30 posts per month on the free version was a little bit annoying because sometime I wanted to make more. But it did not happened often, so the maximum of 30 is still a lot

Pros: There are so many tips and tricks on their blog which perfectly flows with what their website is all about. It allows you to link photos and the bio which is helpful. Easy management!

Cons: The website is much more user-friendly than the app, which is annoying seeing as most social media is done through mobile. I also wish the app allowed for a first comment section for hashtags, rather than putting 20+ hashtags in the caption, most users post a comment with their hashtags. If Later could include a first comment option within the scheduling in the post it would really improve.

Overall: Scheduling content for social media posting, analytics, and new social media trends given by the website.

Pros: It's good to have all social media profiles in one place and to be able to schedule posts between team members.

Cons: The platform seemed too expensive compared to similar products with the same features. Hard to justify the cost when competitors are available for half the amount.

Pros: Once the feature was added to create multi-image Instagram posts, we were able to preset all of our social media posts weeks in advance without having to schedule times to go back in and post those types of posts manually.

Cons: I wish there was an intuitive way to categorize my images as I upload them. We often upload anywhere from 15 to 50 images at a time to pull from throughout the month, so it would be helpful to be able to categorize them so we could locate them more easily later.

Pros: We let a different astrophotographer "take over" our Instagram account every day and post three of their pictures to our audience. Later makes this incredibly easy for astrophotographers to queue up their pictures (each of which is interacting with Later for the first time), but still gives us control over making sure they're good quality before we post them.

Cons: They have similar functionality for Twitter and Facebook but it's automatically, so it doesn't serve the same purpose for us.

Overall: It allows us to let a different guest astrophotographer post photos to our Instagram every day without a lot of work. An incredibly valuable tool that we totally rely on.

Pros: I like the feature for the custom links in the bio, I like that you can edit each post for each social media platform before posting, I love how you even have a feature to add multiple links to one post on Instagram and I love the analytics!

Cons: I would love to see my most popular hashtags and active followers. It would just add a value to my company and make me know my statistics.

Pros: Later makes it easy to schedule all of your Instagram posts ahead of time. You can upload photos, plot them out on a calendar, preview your Insta-feed, and schedule your posts for specific times. Essential for any small business owner!

Cons: Later doesn't post for you, it simply sends you a push notification that your post is ready. It'd be nice if Later could post on your behalf, but it's not a deal breaker for me.

Pros: A great planning content tool, nice if you take part of a 30 days challenge. You can program all your post in a bulk.

Cons: I don't like the need to validate the post on my phone before it could be posted because I have no phone access at home.

Overall: I gain time and have a more productive workday.

Pros: It works really well for us. We don't need to be posting on a daily basis so the free version works wonderfully for our business. Very easy to use and easy to set up. Beautiful interface and intuitive.

Cons: I wish the Later app itself was able to post the content. What it does, is send a notification and then you have open the post in Instagram and post there manually. This extra step is the only inconvenient thing about this app.

Pros: Free to use for 30 posts per month (2 accounts). Extremely easy to use, drag-and-drop interface with minimal learning curve.

Cons: Limited functionality with the free version. Still doesn't have automatic posting to Instagram, while Hootsuite does. Can't add emojis to scheduled posts on computer.

Pros: I hadn't heard of this service until recently and I don't even remember how I stumbled upon them. I did some digging and immediately switched from our previous scheduler. Later does everything it did and so much more! The grid scheduler for Instagram is a fav feature.

Later makes it easy to ensure your time-sensitive posts don't miss their window.

Pros: Event-based posts are all about the timing. Too soon and they forget. Too late and there's no point. Later is the perfect way to make sure your message reaches your audience at the right time.

Later lets you create a post and assign it a specific day and time. It really excels at scheduling repetitive posts. You can upload to a media library, which keeps a running tally of how many times you've posted an image.

You can even create saved captions for reuse.

Cons: The interface is a little clunky. It's simple and streamlined but perhaps a little too much. Once you get used to it, it's nothing you can't adjust to.

Although you can now use Later with several social media platforms, it was originally created for use with Instagram, which is probably why all of your posts have to start with a pic. Makes sense for Instagram; a little frustrating for Twitter.

Speaking of twitter, the mobile app is limiting me to 116 characters for my twitter account. The desktop lets me use the full 280.

Overall: Planning posts ahead of time saves time and minimizes errors. Later is a great tool for helping give the impression that you're bigger than you are and always there for your customers.

Pros: This is the easiest scheduling platform I've used and I've used a few.
Offers hashtag suggestions for IG.
All my social media platforms can be done at once.
It has a simple calendar type interface with a drag & drop and you can see at a glance when the posts will go live across the week.
Support is prompt and excellent.

Cons: Hashtag suggestions are provided for instagram only, it would be good if they could show trending twitter ones - I have made the suggestion which is going to be worked on.

Overall: I have used other social media scheduling platforms but find Later to be the easiest and quickest to use.

Pros: I am not big on social media and have a busy life. Later helps me keep organized and schedule posts ahead of time so that I don't have to think about it during my day to day activities. Being able to use their mobile app to post the posts from anywhere is also a big help as sometimes I am not home and need a reminder that it is time to post my scheduled media.

Overall: Being able to schedule my posts that I wish to make across all platforms without stopping my day to day business.

Pros: Extremely easy to use, intuitive user interface and experience, great rebranding, and fantastic free tool. I've only tried it for Instagram, would be curious to check out how the other social platforms function through it.

Pros: I love the visual nature of Later. If you're going for a certain curated look on Instagram, for example, it's easy to see how it all comes together!

Cons: This is SUPER minor and nitpicky, but I wish I could schedule a few more than 30 free posts on Instagram a month. ;)

Pros: I can't speak highly enough about Later. First off, it's VISUAL. You can schedule out your content by dragging and dropping photos from your media library into your "scheduler", and it doesn't end there.. you can also preview the look of your feed and drag and drop media around according to what looks best, so you always know what your feed is going to look like. For visual brands, this is huge- and initially what drew me to Planoly (but Later easily ended up taking the cake because of it's other features).. the best of which is link in bio. For brands that use frequent call to action "links" in their posts this is revolutionary, and gone are the days that I need to change out our link in bio everrrrry time we post something (and miss out on conversions because of instagram's algorithm and changed links!). With the link in bio feature, you have one static link (linkin.bio/yourbrandname) and your identical feed will show up and EVERY post can link through to a different source. These two features alone are what sold me, but I also love the ability to schedule video, schedule twitter separately, create "tags" in our media library according to different types of posts/locations, etc. for easy access and their analytics get better everyday.

Cons: Analytics are pretty basic, which is unfortunate... but the Later team is always improving them and I am confident they will keep getting more and more robust!

Pros: I like the timeline preview on Instagram, as well as the Linkinbio feature, which is very useful especially for ecommerce accounts.
Also the ability to get notifications to post on Instagram is also handy.

Cons: The post planning interface is not very user-friendly. Account switching is weird, it's never clear which social media platform you're managing, and the ability to make one post for multiple accounts at once is missing. Lastly, even though the photo library feature is very useful, I would also like the ability to add/edit/apply photo filters on the photos so they're good to go.

The only way I'll plan my Instagram feed!

Pros: I absolutely love the whole experience of using Later, from start to finish. I've tried other tools and have ended up circling back to Later every single time. Working with Later is seamless from the app on my iPhone to the web interface. It makes it really easy to plan my Instagram feed, and I know I'm not even using it to the absolute max it could be! I feel like I've just scratched the surface and know there's so much more I could be using this tool for. :)

Cons: I find it a lot harder to plan my feed from the app on my phone - it's not quite as intuitive as I feel that it could be. That said, I prefer to do most of the planning from the web interface anyway and use the phone app for reminders to post, and to also add more media to my Later media library.

Overall: :: Super easy to manage Instagram feed planning

Comments: I've been using Buffer to schedule my startup's social media posts on twitter, facebook, and google+, but I still posted to Instagram by hand because existing solutions didn't satisfy me. Until I met Later: it's simple to use, and although it does not post to Instagram automatically, it helps automate all the boring stuff and publish post in two clicks.

Comments: Later gives the opportunity to schedule out Instagram posts which has helped us maintain our account and make sure that we are posting consistently. I love the easy drag and drop image option and that it sends the notification to your phone ready to copy and paste into Instagram's app.
