As soon as I came to Pixpa I never looked for another provider again. I am also love that I can provide my client galleries through Pixpa. What brought me to that decision was: price, and also it was easier to use than some of the more well know and popular website builders. I didn’t need a solution for more than hosting my site, for narratives and projects and Pixpa seemed like it would suit my purpose well. I’ve been using Pixpa for a few weeks now and I am very happy that I made the decision to go with Pixpa. The support team at Pixpa have been fantastic – quick, efficient and knowledgeable, not mention courteous – they have been a pleasure to deal with. My main portfolio is on another website, however, I have been giving some thought to transferring it to Pixpa – mainly because of the support, but also the price and I like the idea of having the 2 sites with the same provider. Would I recommend Pixpa? It depends on your needs
if you need to host and showcase your portfolio, this is a great place to be. For the people I deal with, mostly photographers, the answer is a definite “Yes”. Cons I hope that in the future there will be options to customize slides shoes more - viewer defined times and also viewer ability to turn thumbnails on and off. Pros Ease of use, value for money - reasonably prices plans, all important features in one package. Cons Missing features or 3rd party implementations that would really enable an online business to use some automation in their stores. Like I've been begging them for months to add Trustpilot integration in their builder so I could send out auto invitations. Still nothing... If your business depends on not just your website host, but you also use many many 3rd party services for an automated client management then you might want to double check if Pixpa really suits your needs. The Pixpa team is always available with support if I need it. Pros Pixpa makes it so easy to build a website from start to finish with no previous experience. I tried other free trails and found them really difficult and uninspiring. With Pixpa, I feel fully supported, anytime I cant figure out what to do the Pixpa help team are available and offer me help within minutes, not just messaging back but sending me screen shots and mini videos to help me put things in place on my site, they are amazing! Cons I would like more templates for photographs that need simple text below the images, ie. someones name instead of a large title or description of the image. I am a headshot photographer so It wold be good to be able to pt the persons name below the image of them in my gallery. It gives me and my clients a satisfying experience, especially in the realm of ecommerce. Pros Easy to use with great functionality. What I have enjoyed the most is being able to sell items directly from client gallaries hassle free. Easy for me, easy for my clients. I can control download options by gallery and by user. Order management is very well done too. This is a small side business for me, and before I switched to Pixpa I was on the verge of throwing the towel in. Cons The only con I've experienced is a technical glitch this week that deleted all images in a gallery (rather than just the images I had selected), and then wouldn't allow me to restore the deleted images. So far this has been a one-off problem. The option to restore deleted images is, ordinarily, definitely on the pro list. Another important thing to me was being able to update the website easily being able to integrate a shop. Pixpa made all these very simple and quick! Also, best and most helpful customer support I've seen on a platform so far. Cons I feel like there is a very small pool of templates to chose from, and I would appreciate having more creative options to structure my website in a different way. The user interface was easy to learn and I was able to make the site exactly how i wanted it.
