I've built a number of sites over the years and while I kind of hate building from templates, the way they approach this makes it so easy. I keep the parts I like, add new elements, and changes colors and styles to fit my taste. It's really a brilliant platform, with incredible customer service, and competitive pricing. A little room for improvement but truly fantastic! Pros Overall, very simple to use, with very little learning curve for the basic features. Well thought out templates, tools, and features that enable you to deliver stunning sites. But what I like best is the SERVICE. Wow, they are incredibly responsive and exceptionally helpful. I've never waited more than a couple of minutes to get assistance and their people are great - not only knowledgeable and helpful but they include screenshots, links, etc to help you quickly resolve your issues. Cons Anytime you are working with templates, wizards, or drag n' drop tools you are going to have some limitations in what you can do - I knew that going in, and yet was surprised at how powerful and flexible it really is. They are really good, there is really nothing I dislike about them. That said, I feel like they are a few small features and adjustments away from being AMAZING. I hope they continue to invest and expand capabilities as well as ease of use and integrations. They are on the verge of real greatness. I did a lot of research and explored many options. Pixpa was the best fit for me and I have been very happy with the experience so far! Pros \- More affordable!! This was my #1 consideration since I'm a new business owner. - Easy to get up and running quickly. My website was up (though very bare) within a day. - Very responsive tech support & customer service. So helpful & nice. They really care about users and want people to be able to create a website they love!! - Pretty customizable. I've found I can achieve almost everything I want to with my website quite easily. There were only a few times so far that something hasn't been doable (or is too much effort for what it's worth). - Nice templates with a variety of themes/looks so you don't need to start from scratch. - Only a small Pixpa watermark at the bottom of the site. I've seen others that have huge "Website created by X company" watermarks that I find super distasteful. Cons \- No free tier (they do have a free trial though) - Galleries are not very customizable yet. This is my biggest disappointment since galleries are key to artist websites. Would love to see the features expanded because it would make the site PERFECT for what I use it for. - Learning curve for anything more than the basics. Some features can be tricky to find and understand. The studio has some quirks. Once you know how to navigate & make changes efficiently, it becomes very powerful though. When I am stuck trying to navigate/update my site the online chat is extremely helpful and immediate. Pixpa online support goes above and beyond to help their customers. The price point for their service is extremely competitive. Cons Their is no direct phone support but the service through the online chat is amazing. I would recommend for anyone who wants to give Pixpa a try. They have a trial period which helped a lot in my decision to stick with them :) Pros If you want a basic to moderate level website that includes e-commerce options than Pixpa is recommended. Its pretty easy to use once you get familiar with the settings and the annual costs are very competitive. Cons A couple bugs here and there that need to get ironed out. But the support team are excellent and there 24/7 and deal with solvable issues quickly. Sometimes you have to wait a while for them to come back to you for more complex issues. I would like the option to upload MP4 video clips directly instead of having to have them link from YouTube. The platform lacks on some advanced features but if you don't need anything fancy then that's not a problem.
