I would recommend for anyone who wants to give Pixpa a try. They have a trial period which helped a lot in my decision to stick with them :) Pros If you want a basic to moderate level website that includes e-commerce options than Pixpa is recommended. Its pretty easy to use once you get familiar with the settings and the annual costs are very competitive. Cons A couple bugs here and there that need to get ironed out. But the support team are excellent and there 24/7 and deal with solvable issues quickly. Sometimes you have to wait a while for them to come back to you for more complex issues. I would like the option to upload MP4 video clips directly instead of having to have them link from YouTube. The platform lacks on some advanced features but if you don't need anything fancy then that's not a problem. A great provider with consistently excellent service - any issues get resolved superfast, and my page is super slick. Pros The chat service which is very fast and sorts issues quickly. Within a few minutes, I'm talking to an expert, and within a few more, issues are consistently resolved. Cons Honestly, nothing at all really. Occasionally, I flag software glitches, but when point these out, they get dealt with fast. Pixpa contains a lot of features and very many integrations with third parties. This makes building a professional-looking website a real pleasure. But what I am most pleased with is their helpdesk. Never have I known a software provider that knows how to deliver such service. You get 27/7 help when you have a problem. Communicaqtion is in your own language via email. You have 3 employees linked to your account (3 because of 24/7) who you can always contact. So you don't have to deal with a different employee every time. The longest I've had to wait for an answer is half an hour, but usually you get an answer within 3-5 minutes. Their answers are very clear. They refer to the corresponding technical explanations in the help database , which is very well documented by the way. I have experienced them doing the modification in my website and also giving a short video on how to do it. this is really sublime, never known a company that provides such a helpdesk service. Pros The ability to build your own website , without technical knowledge and without depending on third parties. However I had to steer away from it as it was extremely hard for me to navigate/edit/get support. I really liked how on day 1 of joining Pixpa, I contacted support and was assisted right away. There are still a few integration processes are a little confusing for me (I.e. bringing a domain name over from Squarespace to Pixpa) but so far I am enjoying the experience and learning process. In this day and age of voice-mail hell, email black holes, and useless chat-bots, having another human connection is exceptional. Pros Customer service is totally amazing. Whether usage questions or a problem with a template - I received answers within hours independent of day-of-week. Really phenomenal. The templates are great, modern looking. The online-usage-help is exhaustive. Features are generally speaking plentiful. Bottom line - strong thumbs up. Cons As with any complex piece of SW supporting various workflows, etc., it takes a little time to really create a website that covers the basic website, password protected galleries for customer review, as well as a web-shop with price-lists and stripe integration. Having compared a number of hosting services, I think Pixpa does well here. Integrating with an EU based printing service would be great. Not many customers request this, but it would be a nice add-on. They are easy to converse with over the chat. It doesn't feel like a chat most of the time because there is very little delay in engagement once they connect. They are great coaches because if I don't understand a process, they offer a different way for me to understand what I need to know. They seem to really want me to understand and learn from them. Pros I love the tutorials and the great support that I have received from all the tech support team. I am a senior visual artist and decided to build my website on my own. I have learned so much and sincerely appreciate the patience that I have been shown. People who visit my website ask who built it for me. Others, the contact tech teams would not respond or I had to go to a "community" with questions that I wasn't ready to ask on a public platform. Pros I've tried several build-your-own-website platforms, and Pixpa is by far the perfect blend of cost, function and design. I selected pixpa because they don't have a ton of hidden fees and seemed like they had better features for less than competitors. If I would have known it would be this easy, I wouldn't have stressed and taken so long to make my website. Pros The support! As a new small business owner and having no website design or marketing experience I put off making a site for too long. I did have some difficulties but the chat box support staff always helped me (and I didn't have to call and be on hold!) figure out what I was doing wrong and how to make my website not just look lovely but also be functional for my business. Cons Some of the features are a little wonky. Pros The Client Galleries combined with the website are great. I also like the customisations. Cons The storage could be unlimited with the more expensive plans. Far better than Shopify and GoDaddy etc... Pros It's price. I was spending nearly $60 a month on a competitor when all I needed was something just like pixpa for people to view my art.
