Pros: Pros for the individual being observed:

-Can be assigned PD goals and track mastery across time

-Ability to see past evaluations all in one place (don't need to search through your inbox or paper observation forms)

Pros for the individual doing the observing:

-Can customize the headers on the rubric to fit specific subject area/department/etc. needs

-Can assign PD goals and track mastery for all your teachers/deans over time

-Can provide time stamp feedback via a video feed (we never used this feature but I know it exists)

-Holds you accountable to observing a certain number of times a month because there's a record of your every move

Cons: Success on platform is dependent on quality of training. When I was an instructional coach (the first time I used this platform, we were just given a login, and since there's so much to customize (pro), that move could easily lead to misalignment. I think the tool would be a strong value add IF there's proper training and clear expectations for use (including frequency).

Overall: I think the tool would be a strong value-add IF there's proper training and clear expectations for use (including frequency)
