Our overall experience with HubSpot CRM has been extremely disappointing. We purchased the platform after being assured that it could meet our operational requirements and that implementation would be supported by both HubSpot and their recommended implementation partner. The sales process created confidence that we were investing in a comprehensive solution that would improve our workflows and customer service operations. Unfortunately, the reality was very different. After nearly 10 months of implementation efforts, countless meetings, significant staff involvement, and thousands of dollars in costs, we still do not have a solution that adequately supports our business needs. Many of the capabilities discussed during the sales process either proved far more difficult to implement than represented, required additional consulting services, or were never successfully delivered. What should have streamlined our operations instead created additional complexity, consumed valuable time and resources, and resulted in ongoing frustration for our team. The most disappointing aspect was the lack of accountability once it became clear that the solution was not meeting the expectations that were set during the sales process. Overall, our experience has been one of wasted time, unnecessary expense, and an incomplete system that remains unusable for our intended purposes.

Pros

What I liked most about HubSpot CRM was the promise of what it could become for our business. Before signing on, it was presented as the ultimate solution to our challenges—an all-in-one platform that would simplify our processes, improve efficiency, and meet our specific requirements. The sales process was compelling, and the platform appeared to offer exactly what we needed. We were genuinely excited to implement it and optimistic about the results we were led to expect.

Cons

What I liked least about HubSpot CRM was the significant gap between what was promised during the sales process and what was ultimately delivered. We purchased the platform based on assurances that it could support our business requirements and that implementation would be straightforward with the help of HubSpot and their recommended partner. Instead, after nearly 10 months of work, countless meetings, and thousands of dollars in costs, we were left without a fully functional solution. The implementation process was far more complex than represented, many requirements proved difficult or impossible to achieve as expected, and progress was consistently slower than anticipated. Most frustrating was the lack of accountability when it became clear the platform was not meeting our needs. Rather than receiving a working solution, we were left with an incomplete system, ongoing costs, and a substantial investment of time and resources with little to show for it.

My overall experience with HubSpot CRM has been very positive. I love the capabilities and power it provides across virtually every marketing function, from email marketing and automation to reporting, lead management, and campaign execution. The platform is intuitive, scalable, and gives teams the tools they need to manage and optimize their marketing efforts effectively.

Pros

I appreciated HubSpot's user-friendly design, powerful automation workflows, robust reporting, and seamless alignment between marketing and sales teams. It provided a single source of truth for customer data while remaining flexible enough to support growing business needs.

Cons

The platform's breadth of features can make it feel complex at times, especially for users who are new to CRM systems. The good thing is they have HubSpot Academy, and you can learn very quickly how to navigate and use the tools.

It is just right for a little marketing firm like us. We're not paying for features we will never use, and what we do use, does work. The interface is clean and less cloggy than Salesforce's mess. Would I recommend that another agency founder should use it? Absolutely.

Pros

The free version does all that we need for our 7 person agency. Records of contacts integrate seamlessly with our e-mail marketing, and the deal pipeline enables me to follow up from initial contact to the signed contract. Automated follow ups saved me 5 hours a week. They really do answer the phone when I call.

Cons

Reporting becomes cumbersome if you are doing multiple pipelines. In addition, deal stages are too difficult to customize with a lot of clicks. The integration to our project management system is continually going offline and we have to do it every month.

Pros

I love HubSpot CRM for two main reasons: first, it’s free and allows infinity contact list for a small business and secondly, it can be integrated with almost any third-party platform. Each time we use a new tool, this allows us to import our contact list from HubSpot.

Cons

It’s complicated or I don’t know how to do it properly. This hasn't happened to me just a few times, but every time I export a contact from Excel, HubSpot creates new properties if I don’t set everything correctly.

Overall, my experience with HubSpot CRM has been positive. It is a user-friendly and effective platform for managing leads, tracking sales, and organizing customer information in one place. The interface is clean and easy to navigate. Team collaboration works well since all data is shared and accessible, and automation features help save time on repetitive tasks.

Pros

What I liked most about HubSpot CRM is how easy it is to manage leads and organize customer information in one place. It offers great value for money, especially with its free plan that includes many useful features. The platform is very easy to use, with a clean and intuitive user interface that makes navigation simple even for beginners. Lead management is efficient, allowing you to track deals and sales progress clearly. It also supports good team collaboration by keeping all communication and customer data shared across users. In addition, its process automation tools help save time by handling repetitive tasks like follow-ups and email tracking automatically. Customer support is generally helpful, especially for paid plans, making it a well-rounded CRM solution.

Cons

Finding specific information or switching between tools may take more time, especially when managing large amounts of data. Despite this, the platform remains powerful and functional for growing businesses.

We use HubSpot across CRM, marketing automation, and customer service, and the biggest advantage is having all of those functions living under one roof. Rather than juggling multiple disconnected tools, everything from contact management to email campaigns to support tickets is centralised in one place. It's a powerful platform, but the cost and complexity are worth factoring in before committing.

Pros

The all-in-one nature of HubSpot is its strongest selling point. Having CRM, marketing automation, and customer service tools integrated into a single platform means your data stays connected - contact records, campaign interactions, and support history are all visible in one place, creating a much more coherent view of the customer journey. The marketing automation features are particularly well built, making it straightforward to set up email campaigns and nurture workflows without needing a dedicated technical resource.

Cons

Value for money is a genuine concern with HubSpot. The pricing structure is complex, and costs can escalate significantly as you add features, hubs, or users - making it difficult to predict what you'll actually end up paying. For smaller teams or businesses with tighter budgets, it can be hard to justify. Some of the deeper functionality also comes with a notable learning curve, and getting the most out of the platform requires a real time investment in setup and onboarding.
