### "A Nightmare in SaaS: HubSpot's Sales Trap and Operational Chaos"

Choosing HubSpot over Salesforce was one of the biggest, most damning decisions I've ever made for the growth of my company, Desygner, which boasts 40 million users. We initially moved to HubSpot due to a tempting 90% discount, but what seemed like a cost-saving choice turned into a nightmare that has plagued us for the past three years. HubSpot's sales team is stellar at their job, perhaps the only good thing about them. Their ability to upsell and ensnare us into buying more and more was phenomenal. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. The product itself is a disaster. Buggy is an understatement. Confusing is far too kind. I love software, but this product makes me want to rip my hair out every time I use it. It’s so problematic and unreliable that my sales team flat-out refuses to use it. Despite investing over $150,000, the real cost isn’t just financial—it’s the lost opportunities and the mess this bloated, dysfunctional system has brought to our operations. HubSpot’s constant upsells are infuriating. To get anything reasonable done, you’re pressured into buying more features. The product is bloated, and I wouldn’t recommend it to any business, especially if you have more than a few employees. Even then, why bother? After enduring this chaos for three years, it’s time to escape. HubSpot was supposed to help us grow, but instead, it’s been a massive hindrance. If you value your sanity and business growth, steer clear of this nightmare.

Pros

The contact, sales, automation, and most importantly the reporting management features. Hubspot is so easy to use and it can organize your leads and contacts.

Cons

I guess the price of the software, but for me it's under the company so I don't have any issue with Hubspot so far.

Really good product, great for user adoption, very intuitive and works better than most other CRMs I have used.

Pros

As far as a CRM goes, easy to use, pretty intuitive and easy to use even for non technical people

Cons

The pricing model can get out of hand if you are not careful, obviously it's a pay to play CRM and the more you want to do the more modules you have to add which can get pricey.

Very good! There are so many things you can do and automate, and it's in general a very flexible software. Plus I have to give huge extra credit to the Hubspot support team which is always super kind, quick and helpful.

Pros

Hubspot offers endless opportunities when it comes to setting up the data structure and managing potential and existing clients. Workflows make it very easy to get things done in a small team.

Cons

I wish that there were more options in the reporting feature, such as creating more complex formulas or reporting for a specific moment in time.

Overwhelmingly positive. It's much more straightforward than Salesforce and easier to customise to your needs. Can be expensive though and on occasion difficult to find the exact function you need because of how much there is to the platform.

Pros

Easy of use in terms of the interface, high amount of customisation available. Easy reporting and filtering to ensure you get the right view for your needs.

Cons

Core fields that can't be removed. A lot of features can be paywalled if you arent on the top version and this isn't feasible for smaller businesses.

Compared to other CRMs I've used this is the most straight forward, easy to use, while also being robust enough CRM out there... Pipeline management is on point, reporting is great, customizability is great without being to complex... Hubspot has been my favorite CRM to use as a sales rep

Cons

They really need to revamp their Sequencing feature. It's very clunky and limited compared to others in the market You cant throttle emails so your domain will just get wrecked as spam unless you make every email a manual email. I cant have an email auto populate right after a call Its confusing because theres multiple places to actually perform your sequence tasks: either task view or in the sequencing tab. The sequencing view is a mess and very complicated While completing tasks is the best by going to your tasks it can be overly complicated if you dont have your queues properly set up. Hubspot needs a full overhaul here if they truly want to weed out other great cost effective options

Overall it't been great! I just thing they need to listen to their customers more and not prioritize profits over their customers. It could bite in the long run. Also beware, some of the offerings are not best in class, service hub doesn't stack up against the likes of Fresh Desk etc...

I love the platform, like everything there are many area's which they could do better! Overall I think they are the best on the market

Cons

They are expensive and when you try and get them to renegotiate they simply s ay no! Has HuBspot become so big it doesn't care about its customers? IM considering try another platform

Mostly positive and the support staff are pretty good too.

Pros

Hubspot is a great all-rounder CRM. The issue is, they're fully aware of it and so the price tag matches. The discounts they offer when you have multiple modules with them don't always make sense and you can end up being worse off. But in terms of what businesses need to do with a CRM, it will do it all and more.

Cons

Price and the website building functionality. It's a combination of templates and hard coding. I'm more familiar with wordpress, so this carried a learning curve.

Absolutely fantastic and highly recommend. Hubspot has scaled from 4 of us to over 200 and they are constantly innovating.

Pros

We initially chose Hubspot because of it's user friendly UX/UI. We have now used Hubspot for over 6 years and it has been incredible constantly ensuring they added features that keep up with our growth. The CRM itself is still very intuitive. The reporting and dashboards feature is fantastic. There are so many pro's but it's hard to beat Hubspot for it's intuitive design and use.

Cons

The challenge we've had with Hubspot it the placement of critical features in different pricing categories. We are constantly finding that critical features are in different pricing tiers.

Thanks to their details documentation and community support, my overall experience has always been great.

Pros

I really like the way they have provided the ease to admins to manage the contacts and contact creation right after Hubspot form is submitted. Even the method to embed Hubspot Forms on any website is also very user friendly. Comunity support is also there to back up developers in all development needs. Their APIs and Private Apps are really amazing when it comes to authentication and works seamlessly.

Cons

Recently, they have removed their support for API key authentication which probably has broken many hearts as most of the people were too dependent on API key validation. But thankfully creation of Private app and validation through access token is not that tough. However, their customer support is not very helpful when it comes to technical enquiries. You need to be dependent on community only which sometimes may take time to answer your question. Although Hubspot documentation is at time very helpful for technical queries.

With all of that said though, depending on the business, HubSpot may or may not be the one-stop-shop to fulfill every business need as opposed to some of its competitors.

Pros

HubSpot is highly customizable and can be tailored to fit your business needs. The various automation functions make streamlining processes easy to do and can really drive business in an efficient manner. The platform also has many integration partners that are easy to plug in and use as well.

Cons

HubSpot is missing some functionalities and out of the box features that some competitors have, but they are constantly working to improve their platform and close that gap, releasing new features on a regular basis.
