### "Top-quality CRM with excellent features, just make sure everyone is on board"

October 8, 2020

5.0

Overall, HubSpot has been an INCREDIBLY positive experience for us. I won't lie and say there haven't been frustrations, but there are always going to be frustrations with switching software or implementing new processes. Ultimately, HubSpot has helped us bring our processes forward in a wonderful way, and their support is truly, truly superior to any other product support I have ever received.

Pros

To HubSpot's credit, their CRM functions really quickly and its basic features have a very short learning curve -- we onboarded our sales teams in multiple parts, with inside first followed several months later by outside reps. The main CRM we used before HubSpot was Microsoft Dynamics, and we are still significantly based there, but I attribute the positive reception of a new (and dramatic) software shift to HubSpot's ease of use and quick accessibility of prospect information.

Cons

We've run into a similar problem several times due to our industry being so niche (and therefore, the information we collect tends to be highly customized). We have needed to organize and implement quite a few custom fields, which GENERALLY HubSpot's CRM is very good about -- however, there are some significantly important fields that cannot be changed at all, even by HubSpot. We also have had some issues with company associations -- if your prospects work in an industry in which one company can have multiple locations (and the distinction matters), HubSpot's CRM does not lend itself well to that at all.

Reason for choosing HubSpot CRM

HubSpot was by far the greatest solution for our budget and our time constraints. It was such a huge improvement from our previous software that it's like night and day to us, whereas some of the bigger names in the space like Salesforce and Marketo were much too far out of our acceptable price range.

### "The best FREE CRM for all types of businesses!"

October 21, 2021

5.0

I've been using Hubspot for years now and I actually sell it to other businesses because I enjoy it that much. Again, Hubspot is a great starter CRM with not too many tools to learn but eventually as your company grows you'll want to look for other options that has more features to fit your team.

Pros

Being in sales, this tool is a must especially if you're just starting out. It's not complicated to use for beginners and it's very straight forward if it's set up correctly. I'm able to create lists, segments, track calls, email opens, and create to-do lists and call lists for cold calls or follow ups. Deal stages allows us to track where we are at and what's coming to give our teams a heads up.

Cons

Honestly, there's not too much I don't like. I just highly suggest you figure out how you're going to use this as a CRM and make sure you continue to update and clean your data and contact lists because that's the only way to stay organized and have "good" data. Don't let the system get messy or it will take months to fix and clean.

### "Hubspot CRM for K's"

April 5, 2024

4.0

I like that we are able to manage all our potential clients is one place. With one appe for all of us, we can all see where we left off. We can find the emails and phone number left by the customer and just move from there. Unlike using traditional email. With this we can see the trend and analytics where we get to see those who were converted. If any problem arises, the customer service is ready to help. With all the features of hubspot, it is by far the best CRM we got to use.

Pros

I like how serves as a database for all our records in our business. We have all information from our customers from there. Wveryone gets the chance to see. No need to cc my boss like in a typical email. They can see it and sometimes just take over when I'm off. It is very user friendly and has very great features.

Cons

I just dislike the fact that the system won't load without internet. There was one time that I was in an area without signal. I need to get the customer's phone number so I can just call them because rhere was no internet signal. But wasn't able to. But it's fine and understandable. Everything nowadays needs internet to fully function.

### "Lightweight, straight-forward CRM solution"

November 25, 2019

4.0

Overall, the ease of setup and use make HubSpot the perfect solution for our early-stage start-up. It is economical and lightweight, and allowed us to get going with a CRM very quickly and ensure our customer data was kept up to date from early on. Though HubSpot has a long way to go before it replaces Salesforce as a fully fledged CRM ecosystem, it certainly is on the way there, and a perfect solution for smaller businesses who can't quite afford Salesforce's much higher price tag. If your business and its customer data is not very complex and you need a simple and reliable CRM to manage it, then HubSpot is for you. If you require your customer data to work with a more complex wider ecosystem of software, from Finance to HR, then HubSpot isn't quite there yet, so best to go for something more established and developed.

Pros

Without a doubt, the ability to have unlimited free users was incredibly useful. We have a number of freelancers who work with us on a part time basis and we were able to give them all access to the CRM for free. This gives HubSpot a considerable edge over it's per-license competitors. HubSpot's lightweight ecosystem allows you to link all sales, marketing and service information in one place, all with a very straightforward and easy to understand user interface (another of HubSpot's benefits). On the Marketing side, HubSpot's email builder is simple, yet powerful, and allows us to create great emails to send out to our customer base. On the Sales side, the Outlook Add-in allows us to make sure all sales activity by all team members is being tracked and logged in the CRM, so we are able to track performance and customer interactions quickly and easily. The Service functionality has allowed us to build out a fully fledged help centre for our customers.

Cons

Some aspects of the software are a little incomplete and/or suffer from inexplicable lacks of functionality. Sadly is yet to completely separate itself from its past as solely a marketing automation tool. It is obvious that the entire system architecture has been built around the contact record object type, with several frustrating quirks arising as a result. For example, a lot of the workflow functionality differs depending on the object type in use; contact based workflows allow you to use future dates as a trigger (e.g. run workflow x days before y date), whereas Company and Deal based workflows do not. There are also a number of fundamental functions that require the Professional tier license to access. These include but are not limited to calculated fields, multiple currencies, lead rotation automation and A|B testing on emails. Clearly I understand that you get what you pay for, but given that these are all indispensable functions of a CRM, it seems to render the 'Starter' tier entirely useless, forcing you to pay the higher price. That being said, I am grateful that calculated fields are now a Professional rather than a higher Enterprise feature. One last frustration is the inability to have multiple users on different tiers within the same Hub. I would greatly appreciate the ability to give Starter licenses to some of my free users, to give them a little more functionality, however, I am only allowed to purchase more Pro licenses, which I can't afford.

It's been sensational. Happy to integrate Hubspot into our business process.

Pros

Its interface is quite intuitive. I did not even need to watch any tutorials until much later.

### "HubSpot - easy to configure and use"

March 9, 2022

5.0

Fantastic. Been using it for 4 years, first as a client, and then I have implemented it for several clients as a freelance consultant. The feature set has grown massively.

Pros

Extremely easy to use and OUTSTANDING training materials and knowledge base and support. The workflow features are fantastic and intuitive and if you understand the data model of HubSpot you can do so much in workflows without any custom coding. It is quick and easy to configure. The platform is constantly being updated with new releases and feature enhancements. You really do not need to be technical to have Hubspot up and running, integrated with your website and email and calendars.

Cons

I wish the layout was more customizable. I would love to have more flexibility with object relationships e.g. having parent and child deals. Creating custom objects requires a bit of API skill. I find the pricing to be complex - lots of features are limited or locked down depending on your license.

Reason for choosing HubSpot CRM

I have done several CRM evaluations and it comes down to who will use it, who maintains it, the complexity of the business and costs. HubSpot is not the best for every situation, but it is a fantastic tool for almost all small and medium businesses.

### "YOU CAN NOT GO WRONG WITH HubSpot CRM"

May 16, 2022

5.0

I needed to learn the software a few years ago for a project I was consulting on. I've now recommended it to my last eleven client companies and implemented it at nine of those companies. My clients couldn't be happier.

Pros

This is the best value for your money. It has a well designed UX, is fairly intuitive software making it extremely easy for new employees to learn it quickly. Tons of adaptability to meet the needs of most small to mid-sized organizations. It really does help us track our prospects to continually move them through the sales process turning them into clients. It then helps us manage those relationships well.

Cons

The set-up should be done by someone familiar with the software. Newbies will tend to need to repeat some of the process after figuring out they put information in the wrong spot. Once its set up properly however, ease of use is the ongoing reward.

Pros

Cons

### "Tricky to use at first but excellent!"

May 26, 2022

4.0

A daunting prospect to use at first but it has made our reporting and collaboration on sales even better with the ability to @ members of your team to give them notifications of updates or queries about deals. With our asynchronous work force this is essential. Overall while still getting to grips with everything it has to offer we are very happy we moved to HubSpot

Pros

HubSpot integrates very well with Workspace which we use daily. The interface is clear and, once you get the hang of it, easy to use. The HubSpot academy is a great tool for new users for what can be quite a daunting tool as there is so much within it!

Cons

Customisation, while great, is difficult to master and it generates so many reports it’s hard to figure which ones you are needing to use. Your team will absolutely need training in how to get the most out of HubSpot but it will be worth it in the end. I’ve been a user 6 months and I’m still learning new things every day

### "Improve the relationship with your customers"

June 9, 2022

5.0

It is an automated software that will help you with the organization of your company's activities, you can schedule appointments, schedule a client with an advisor, broadcast messages, create notes on each client, send mass emails, make calls, you can create tasks to have the optimal follow-up of this client, history of orders placed.

Pros

I like HubSpot because it's a complete CRM platform, you can organize your sales, marketing campaigns, customer service. This software will help you with the business growth strategy through marketing techniques. It has several plans and different costs. You will be able to obtain information in graphs of the statistics, access your contacts that are being created (clients, prospects), you can assign advisors to attend to each client. Something that I can highlight is that it has a free version in which you can use several tools, ideal for those who want to see how it works, and then there is the Enterprise version, which is the most complete and to handle more contacts.

Cons

It is a platform with many functions and at first it can be difficult to understand, it would be nice if it had more tutorials on the platform to guide you through the different tools

### "HubSpot is Awesome!"

March 8, 2022

5.0

Bad things aside, I genuinely love this product, so much that it is a running joke at my work. It is such a powerful tool that can do so much. I could write about everything it does and can do, but I don't think there is enough space here. So in short... I highly recommend HubSpot.

Pros

It is an incredibly powerful CRM, Marketing, Sales and Service tool. It can integrate easily with many platforms including Mailchimp, Shopify and WordPress from its extensive app marketplace. The software is also incredibly easy to use and it gives you a clear overview of your leads and clients as well as allowing you to store quotes, files, emails... basically, everything about your lead/client in one easy to access place. The workflows is another amazing tool as it allows you to easily set up an automated marketing funnel for each new lead. I prefer their workflow creation tool, to that of Salesforce, whose automations takes a while for my brain to understand. The HubSpot Academy is another amazing feature that teaches you about almost any aspect of growing your business.

Cons

I only have a few issues with the program. 1) As of date there is no recurring task option yet, so you can't for example set up a reminder to call a client every week for example. I do know that they are busy working on this though. 2) The pricing model is a bit steep, you can either go with the "cheap" plan, which gives you limited features or the "expensive" plans which allow you access to all the awesome features. There is no mid-tier plan for a company that finds the starter plan to limiting and who cannot yet afford the professional or enterprise plans. an example at the time of writing: the marketing hub costs $20 per month for the starter plan and then jumps to $800 per month for the professional plan.

Alternatives considered

### "Better than many CRMs"

4.0

It goes in ups and downs. Though sales team seems to be more happy with it than the CTO.

Pros

It has a lot of nice features + it's customisable + it works (no obvious bugs) + HubSpot provides support to their customers (even small like us) + they have nice startup discounts for the 1st and 2nd year + it's a well know tool. So overall it has a lot of pros.

Cons

HubSpot is not perfect, we had to do many compromises, because certain (even pretty basic) things don't work like we expect(ed) them to work. In many cases this affects productivity and often give a filling that we are using hummer where screwdriver in needed.

Use it every day and it's so easy to use and keeps us on track with everything we do from Lead management and deal tracking.

Pros

Ease of use, and UI is fantastic. The deal management and simple UI of this make it so easy to use and keep on top of.

Cons

Calling from it can be hit and miss. Sometimes you just get an error and other times the numbers are blocked because of spam, so have to then turn to the mobile version and there are no issues. I know it's a network thing but still, not very productive to have to switch between desktop & mobile versions to make calls

### "Rocket Ship CRM that Integrates with your Marketing Automation"

February 9, 2022

5.0

I have launched HubSpot for two different organizations and had a great experience both times, yeilding great successes.

Pros

I used this CRM and the 'marketing hub' to build a SaaS company's sales and marketing system. The software was easy to use, set up, and train sales reps on. The automation features are excellent, enabling workflows for notifications, reminders, email sequences and more. This helped me leverage a small team's efforts into a big impact on sales.

Cons

There's a lot you have to do to 'figure it out on your own', but in many ways that is good. You really get to know how to 'drive' the software and make it work for you.

It's great for making a sales funnel and following up with leads until they become paying customers. Easy reporting on clients' journeys through the sales process is not a strong suit. All bundled up by making it easy to make and keep track of contacts all the way down the sales funnel from lead to customer.

Pros

Hubspot manages our sales, marketing, and customer success strategies throughout the complete go-to-market plan. It serves as the basis for all that we do and provides insight into the inner workings of the company.

Cons

### "Great CRM for Enterprise Level or Solopreneur"

December 5, 2022

4.0

Hubspot is a great solution for two types of businesses: enterprise level and solopreneurs. There are some other business cases in the middle that it makes sense for as well, but the reason I say it's good for solepreneurs is because Hubspot has a good basic free CRM. However, this is very limited and is essentially simply a contact management system. You can't automate anything with it and in order to get any meaningful kind of automation you are looking at around $800 a month. Their Starter Pack hardly includes anything meaningful in my opinion and the cost makes it totally unaccessible for a lot of businesses. Enterprise level businesses (or others that can afford the hefty price tag) should go with Hubspot. It has so many features to be able to collect meaningful marketing data and automations. In my opinion, Hubspot is the best CRM out there. It's just the price tag that makes it problematic.

Pros

I think Hubspot is probably the best CRM available on the market. It allows for complex automations to be built, allows you to track email stats and ads stats, has forms you can implement on websites and so much more. It's the "full meal deal".

Cons

To get access to all of these incredible features you have to be willing to pay massive monthly fees to really make Hubspot useful.

Alternatives considered

[ActiveCampaign](https://www.capterra.com/p/79367/ActiveCampaign/)

Reason for choosing HubSpot CRM

In the case of one of my clients, Hubspot was chosen because they needed people to be able to upload files and have those files on their contact record. Hubspot was able to do that and build automation around those uploads.

### "User-friendly software with great resources. I am a big fan"

October 2, 2018

5.0

I use it every day, and I am still constantly learning new things and finding new ways to use it and make my work easier. I am definitely a Hubspot champion.

Pros

Hubspot is user-friendly, attractive, and useful for different levels of expertise. We use it for the website, blog, social media, email, and CRM. The content around the software is fantastic, with active blogs for different user groups, detailed guidance for how to use functionalities and what you could use them for, and templates to help you tackle projects. They provide a lot of resources to help you get the best out of Hubspot, and if you're stuck, the customer support is responsive and helpful. Something I particularly like about Hubspot is how actively they are developing it. It seems to be every month that we receive an update of new features, functionality or integrations. They have recently added the ability to manage multiple currencies, which people had been really actively asking for on the community forum, and I was so pleased to see this added. Hubspot clearly listen to the feedback and suggestions from the community.

Cons

There are some things which are a bit inflexible. For example, the Industry field for Companies is very large and has a lot of industries which would never be relevant to us. I would like to be able to delete or at least hide features and information which we never use and would never use. Our email is on Outlook Exchange, which unfortunately means we are unable to use some of Hubspot's functions, like being able to email from within the platform and the Meetings function, which I would love to be able to use.

I used HS as a dialer, which is a really difficult job and not as easy as people might think. I love that I can customize the layout how I wanted, the platform is easy to navigate and help is always just a button away. I love how easy it is to assign myself clients within the platform, and I like that I can search certain area codes and states even, I also love that I can get whole lists of certain kinds of businesses, that was super helpful.

Pros

Hubspot is very easy to navigate, it's almost self-explanatory. It makes dialing a lot more enjoyable than auto-dialers and gives you great feedback. I like the way they let you set up your page how you want, and I like that I can look further into each number and find the business name, and then go on further to attach linked in and go see what the business and person are all about. It is nice to customize the layout how I like and if i need help its just a button away.

Cons

I struggled a little when we implemented lead magnets but that was a user error, my fault. I don't have any complaints about the service really, I ran into wrong numbers and no answers but for the most part its pretty great and way better than previous auto dialer systems.
