As we were first starting out, I called many times, often at all hours of the night, trying to figure out urgent configuration issues or unexpected problems. Knowing there is always an expert available is the ultimate safety net. Furthermore, I must specifically highlight the financial expertise. Avoid – Unfair Billing Practices and Poor Support I’ve been using Hostaway for a while, but my recent experience has been incredibly disappointing. I contacted them back in April to reduce my listings from a large number down to just 5. Despite having clear written proof of this request, they failed to take action and continued charging me for the full number of listings for two additional months. Now, they’re telling me I need to pay June’s invoice (at the inflated rate) before they’ll reduce the listings—even though I made the change request months ago. To make matters worse, they’ve locked me out of my account, seemingly to force payment for services I never used. I’ve submitted a formal complaint, but at this point, I’ll be moving on to another platform. This kind of behavior—ignoring clear communications, continuing to charge unfairly, and restricting access—is completely unacceptable. AVOID AVOID AVOID.

The interface could use a little refreshing, it's clunky at times. But generally very comprehensive and impressive as an umbrella, all-inclusive service.

The customer service (\[sensitive content hidden\]) is the best! Always patient and educational. The issue I was having wasn't even a problem, it was a browser issue - nevertheless he was very patient in trouble shooting what I thought was a complete disaster. But he saved the day, like steering a ship out of a storm into a safe harbor. Making it all right again. Whew!

Cons

Though the customer service reps are excellent, it might be an idea to hire more - so that the wait times aren't as lengthy. Having said that, if you can invest the time, I've never had an issue that the reps couldn't handle. (Just need more of them!)

I love working with and their team. The simplicity of the platform, the value and the user interface made this my choice after reviewing several competitors. The integrations with other booking platforms makes this a "no brainer" for me. The absolute plus is being able to call their support line with a question. I always get a person who is incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. Any suggestions are taken and implemented. ### "A long but thorough process"

For the last 2 years, I (and my little boutique hotel the Dream Weaver in Puerto Peñasco, Mexico) have been with under the umbrella of a different company while awaiting our documents in Mexico. I like Hostaway's tools and performance. For the last month, I've been working on taking our listings from Pisolino Rentals (the company we've been under for the last 2 years) to create our own account. Hostaway support team has been incredible in helping me do that. Almost as good as the support I have been receiving from Airbnb. I have been disappointed in the Sale part of things where emails sent were not answered. I chose Hostaway because I was led to believe that they are the best - and I can't judge because I haven't tried anyone else - but being a small boutique hotel, it was difficult to be left "hanging" in our operation during the switch over, while everything needed to be set up. Given all the hours I spent preparing for the change over, I assumed it would have been accomplished more rapidly however, the team members helping me in doing this transfer have been simply fantastic. My technological challenge and lack of knowledge about the transfer / integration may have partly contributed to my frustration (and dealing with banks in Mexico!!!).

I was able to follow her instruction, overcome challenges and successfully complete that part of the work. Giving the fact that there was more to be done, she set up a follow up call to complete the rest and make sure that questions that may come up meanwhile be answered at our next meeting. Very understanding of my situation, they have accelerated the integration process, scheduling meetings as quickly as possible and that is greatly appreciated.

Evaluating the whole Integration process: I didn't realize how much work there is to be done and how long it takes. I did MANY hours on my own to get everything ready and it still took a long time. I don't think this is a CON but rather a fact but this took me by surprise. I have found frustrating to have to follow directly myself with support of the partners affiliated with . It would be simpler if the integration of EVERYTHING that needs to be done to be onboard could encompass ALL aspects. The last point is I didn't feel I was given all of the alternatives/choices in setting up ex: it was Stripe automatically with integration but in emails received, there were other alternative to Stripe that may have warranted a look at.

Be warned, this is not the all singing and dancing software you would expect from the sales pitch. Several untruths in the sales process, extremely poor onboarding led to ongoing issues. I would never go down this route again if we went back in time.

Overall, my experience with has been very positive. The only challenge I’ve encountered has been with the integration process.

Value for money Customer support are always accommodating and knowledgeable. Booking management was good!

It would be very helpful if features such as the host cancellation policy could be displayed directly on the home screen, so there is no need to open the reservation details to access that information. Additionally, the integration process with third-party OTAs was quite challenging. It would be greatly beneficial if the system could provide a clear, step-by-step guide to assist users through the integration process. A smart, on-screen guide—such as prompts indicating which buttons to click and where to enter specific codes, similar to a simulated walkthrough—would make the experience much more user-friendly. This would ultimately help users gain better access and increase their opportunities for securing more reservations.

### "Terrible Hostaway Technical Support and Customer Service"

Used for about 6 months. It is way too expensive for what they provide. They boast about their customer service but I had my issues ignored for days on end. They would not return emails or phone calls. They don’t train their technical support well, none of them know what they are doing and constantly have to send issues up to a higher tech. Their salesmen went on and on about their awarding winning customer service, but once you are onboarded, you get barely any support. They ended up costing us hundreds of dollars through lost reservations and they couldn’t have cared less.

Pros

Their concept is good, but the lack of good technical support really hinders them. Their onboarding process was nice, being able to move easily upload Airbnb listings to VRBO and other sites.

Cons

Terrible customer service, horrible tech support with techs that are improperly trained and don’t know what they are doing, wildly expensive. Their app and website go down in the middle of the day for up to an hour, usually once a month. They will straight up ignore you and your issue if they can’t figure it out.

The platform saves us a huge amount of time by automating daily tasks and syncing our listings perfectly across platforms. \[sensitive content hidden\] made the onboarding process easy and enjoyable — she guided us step by step and made sure everything was perfectly configured. Hostaway has truly become a key part of our property management operations.

Pros

What I like most about is how organized and efficient the platform is for managing multiple short-term rentals. It simplifies every part of the process — from messaging and reservations to pricing and automation. Most importantly, the onboarding experience was seamless thanks to \[sensitive content hidden\], our onboarding manager. She’s incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and supportive throughout the setup process.

Cons

Everything has been working smoothly so far. No complaints — the system and support team have exceeded expectations.

Pros

Booking management is flow and the platform is pretty easy to use. The support is efficient in most cases

Cons

Some functions are not supported by the app, so you need to go on the browser interface for the dashboard. When I trying to connect on my phone I'm being redirected to the app. It's pretty annoying because I have to access my computer, and it's not always possible (or to erase the app from the phone and re install It afterwards) The connection with VRBO is far from being friendly to use

### "Y3n is the Best Customer Service Rep! "

It's amazing, I am very happy that I chose this PMS. My business is growing quickly, and is a big part of it.

Pros

Customer Service and 24/7 phone support. Y3n is my favorite customer service rep. He took time to talk to me when I needed help on the support line, and then since I still needed help, he set up a meeting with me and helped me with several issues over the course of 30 minutes. He went above and beyond and is very patient. He's the BEST, he deserves a raise! Thank you Y3n?

Cons

It was a learning curve to get everything set up, but that's normal when using a new system! I had plenty of support along the way. Thank you!
