It has enabled us to find a new level of Customer loyalty rewards that is easy to manage and even easier to interface with our customers - i wish i could have found this years ago

Marsello allows lots of customization to suit your needs in most areas, but bafflingly little to none in others. It has a fairly customizable loyalty program disambiguated from $$ to points, which you can have mean the same thing, but most customers of ours dislike the points and would rather have their loyalty tracked in $$.

Pros

Marsello is, at the time of review, the best platform for loyalty and email marketing for our business. There is a lot of customization and great analytic overview.

Cons

Marsello, at time of review, does NOT have a function that allows product recommendations tailored to individual purchases or cart activity. This means if you suggest any products via email marketing, it will always be a list of randomly generated products or manually selected ones. They will be the same for everyone. This feature is essentially useless for general purpose marketing or winback. Like many apps of its kind, it's a little too concerned with marketing itself instead of actually being a helpful app for clients. There are so many bells & whistles that are little more than half-baked ideas that have never gone anywhere.

Not sure where Mailchimp is at these days, but Marsello had a really great loyalty system that integrated with our POS and online store. Mailchimp did not.

### "Great to start with, but terrible when things go wrong"

Avoid if you use woocommerce!!! We updated our woocommerce store and re-activated the Marsello API. Marsello then saw all the old orders as new orders as they had been assigned new ID's within woo. this DUPLICATED every order on Marsello DOUBLING peoples loyalty rewards in an instant and potentially costing me thousand of pounds. Marsello has no checking in place to weed out dupicates even though EVERY order has the exact same date and time stamp and transaction amount. It's now been two weeks and marsello have failed to get back to me ONCE regarding a resolution for this. The reason we chose marsello is for the intergrations to lightspeed epos and woo, but looks like we'll be dropping lightspeed and marsello now. I've written this as a way to hopefully get this issue resolved as I have had nothing from marsello other than "we're looking in to it" emails every time i get in touch. Up to this point the experience has been good, other than the pop up which is poorly designed and looks like it's been coded by a 5 year old (my webdesigners comments) But I rate a company on their ability to resolve issues when things go wrong and on this occasion it's been a 1 star

When things go wrong they're terrible at sorting things out, we've had an issue for a couple of weeks and nothing is being done about it.

Pros

Excellent customer support and functionality. Every time I have an idea for an automation, we always manage to find a way to make it work for our business. The team are detailed in their support. Pricing is very reasonable. Easy to learn.

Cons

There is not much I would fault for Marsello, perhaps the only thing is sometimes a lag between updating my database from Lightspeed.

Goody is easy to install and administer. If ever there is or was a problem I know I can talk to someone on the phone or via chat immediately. I've never been treated like a 'stupid user'. Love goody.

Pros

We liked that our loyalty scheme was able to go fully digital.

Cons

Of course it could always be cheaper, but the price as it stands is completely reasonable for the product.

### "Caution: Unreliable Service and Unresponsive Support"

We had a very disappointing experience with this company. After dedicating three months to testing their platform, we encountered numerous bugs and technical issues. Despite this, we were charged in full during that entire period. In the first month, we were billed for an API and an additional site, despite not having any additional sites. We raised this issue multiple times but received little to no support. Our main point of contact, \[sensitive content hidden\], was dismissive of our concerns, repeatedly stating that their company is exceptional and without faults. Unfortunately, their loyalty program was completely unusable due to persistent bugs, and their customer service was slow to respond. When we requested a refund for the services we couldn’t use, we were told that they do not offer refunds, citing their terms and conditions. There is alot more to say about it, but we will leave it here. We strongly advise caution if considering this company.

Cheesy presentation by sales team, company name also sounds good.

Cons

After multiple attempts at emails with customer support they don't understand implications I face with setup. They keep reccomending things to fix it without getting to root of problem. They can't call me and work out the details so the email chain is long and messy. Terrible customer support.

Pros

Expiring Points, integrates with Lightspeed Retail.

Cons

Customer Service and program does not import customer info well and has a sync issue with Lightspeed Retail.

Does the job for in-store loyalty. Wasn't as easy to set up as I'd expected (have used a LOT of SAAS platforms over the years)

Marsello drives in-store customer loyalty well with the Vend/Lightspeed integration

Cons

The fact that we can't provide a seamless loyalty/coupon experience online and offline is a problem, and creates additional administrative load for our team

Thanks for your review Gabby. It's the first negative review we have ever had, so i'd like to communicate to those reading this. Despite advising your team how to setup the rewards programme, you decided on behalf of your client (Adidas), to ignore our advice. We always try to guide our customers, but your team decided to ignore this advice during the on boarding period. You since lost your client - Adidas. I believe this is more a reflection of your business and the advice you've given your client, than the use of our software. Once you lost your client, you decided to cancel services, but you opted for a term-based contract which was held with Spark PR. To me, this is a case of 1) Make sure what you're recommending to you customer is achievable given any solution. 2) Make sure you don't sign a contract on behalf of your client - i would think this is obvious. 3) Make sure when you sign a contract and ask for a term (at a discount), you honor this. our machine occasionally is telling people they need to verify their email before redeeming however they have already done this, also when it freezes it is frustrating for customers. Will not let me see customer feedback online anymore.

It could use more functionality for things like embedded Forms and login forms because it is a little clumsy for users.

Pros

It took me quite a while to figure out where everything was when I first started using this program. only because of the sheer number of possibilities they provide, like loyalty awards, email marketing, points, and more. All of these elements are used by me to enhance all of my marketing strategies. Without a doubt, the function and program I've used the most recently.

Cons

I'm still attempting to understand all the alternatives that this organization provides. However, I did encounter a few snags when researching this issue. I would like to target specific clients with a collection of emails or locations, but I am unable to do so. Additionally, I'd want to customize my email by choosing the size of the headline logo or GIFs.

Reason for choosing Marsello

Used it previously and was aware that Kounta Light Speed made it reasonably stable.

Unfortunately, like most things nowadays, once WiFi fails or goes down, there will always be issues with hardware. The charging issues are usually related to charging via USB port through you POS. Please make sure this is plugged into the wall using the recommended charger.

Looking forward to being more proactive with contacting customers with email marketing etc, and segmenting our customer base using Goody Card.

Pros

Very easy to set up and use, we have just started using it so still in the early stages. We are looking forward to contacting our customers with specific deals that will appeal to them. The over the phone customer support from Goody has been really great, very friendly (& tolerant..!. Like that customers can use just the one card for multiple merchants.

Cons

Would like to be able to put in customers name when signing up, feel it is just a bit too impersonal not to!

Thanks Sheryll, we'll be sure to pass this feedback to our onboarding and support team. One of the reasons why we don't ask for first and last name is that this is customer initiated on sign up. This typically occurs when registering their account. Whilst I think it makes sense to help customers enter their details, staff often enter these details incorrectly. We're developing new ways to help guide customers through this, including our new Goody Enroll app, which is available in the app store. I had a customer service person \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] that was amazing. I would employ her if I could. Took time to help me through every single step. Wants to help me grow my business, she seems to love her job. I feel I can email or call and things get done straight away. Happy to help me to understand campaigns and all the features Goody has.

Pros

I love the product. I am growing in loyalty and already seeing bounce back from customers. Has the ability to target customers on time since last visit. Has the option to target quiet nights. Really happy so far.

Cons

I would love to see push notifications instead of email, and the ability to leave offers on the app at all times to entice people browsing the app.

Easy to use. Customers can log into the app to track their points and update any information. This is good as it takes a workload off the company. Customer service is outstanding, our rep is superb to deal with.

Cons

We seemed to have a lot of issues with the automatic birthday vouchers being sent out. This also came down to customers unsubscribing.

everything is automated so little time spent on it. support is always happy to answer even the most basic questions and sort anything fast. very friendly and user friendly

Pros

I like that once it is set up there really isn't anything else that I have to do. the customer representative even called and did all my set up for me. the hardest part is thinking about what I want my rewards to be but she even helped me with that. Any questions have always been answered within a day.

Cons

I havent come across anything I dont like yet..maybe and editing function when i make a mistake with peoples email addresses

Goody has been great in the feedback forms of finding out what clients truly feel about your business and what you can improve on.

Pros

The time I would spend following up on clients, whether it was birthdays, follow ups, ratings etc, goody has now taken over for me now saving me time! I no longer have to worry about that. The point system has become fair for my clients and they are loving earning and redeeming rewards!

Cons

I haven’t found anything so far that I least like about this software.

It has saved me a huge amount of money of dining out and has also made me go out for lunch/dinner when I normally wouldn't have because i knew i could get a good discount. Really easy to use, never had any issues. Really quick to scan and redeem

Very easy to open and use. Very quick. Opens at the right page so no having to log in every time. Good graphics and text. User friendly, really easy to scan and redeem points

It’s has been satisfactory. I wish we had more Point of Sale material so customers can Join without staff need to convince them. We have a very poor joining rate at our establishment. We have trained staff over and over again.

Pros

Point system/rewards. I like that we have their emails for sending our campaigns.

Cons

Only one email per week. There are times we needed to send two. One for early week special and another for the weekend.
