It has done very well detected malicious instances and preventing them! Pros SentinelOne has an easy installation! It prevented many malicious intrusions and continues to be the best bang for buck. Cons SentinelOne overall has been a great experience, however the un-install can be impossible if inheriting a new client. It protects our customers, alerts us to any quarantines or bad files/actions, and automatically stops these from running until we review. We have been able to make exclusions when needed, and overall the transition to SentinelOne has been very smooth. Pros SentinelOne is a great EDR that we have deployed to replace our previous AV software. We have found it is much better at threat detection and stopping malware before it spreads. It is easy to deploy to devices and we can monitor these devices from the dashboard. Devices can be assigned to different customers and different policies and exclusions can be set for each customer. The value for the cost is great, and the increase in security is necessary. Cons There is a bit of a learning curve to the dashboard, settings, policies, and exclusions. But once learned, it is easy to manage. Pros Possible malware is detected immediately, and an alert is sent very soon after discovery. Cons S1 has a tendency to obliterate a PC's resources when it runs a scan, which is unacceptable for older computers still in production. It’s like setting it up and forgetting about it, letting it do it's work. The machine learning and AI behavior capabilities are impressive. Pros This malware detection software is fantastic! Cons Sometimes the Windows experience feels a bit slow, but it’s not too common. It would be great if there was a mobile app or a mobile-friendly UI. The AI once in a while has a false positive, but it is very easy to rectify. The client also dosent over load system processes. Very light weight. Pros Ease of use , is the main reason we love the platform. It is very easy to intagrate in to modern RMM platforms to deploy the client. Cons It is a little dificult to import customers at times. Also setting up the scanning profiles for the first time is a little challenging. July 1, 2025 5.0 I have had a wonderful experience and would recommend it to friends and colleagues. I've so far had very little in the way of false positives with my clients, and everyone has been happy with it. Pros Wonderful Management Portal, Easy To Use, Implemented it with my PSA, SuperOps, Low Memory Footprint, and Storage. Cons Extremely hard to uninstall if the endpoint is deleted from the Management Portal. Other than this, I love everything about the product. Review the dashboard and make sure all my clients are running smoothly. Pros The level of protection it provides my clients is amazing. I have watched it in real time restore a client's encrypted files (ransomware related encryption). Amazing! Cons The first version of the product was very limited but we moved to a standalone system (verses integrated with N-Central) and our options are much better. I recently had to approve it tagging Norton VPN and it would not approve the entire string of hits. Another issue I have had is corrupted installs giving me trouble. The ability to isolate machines and respond quickly is very helpful. I wish the update rules had more options Pros I feel I am in control; with other AVs, I feel I am just looking at logs. I feel I can find what I need and execute quickly on it. All of the workstations with it are running well and it has caught and cleaned up several infections and issues missed by previous solutions. Pros Easy to setup and manage. Services work well and their protection runs silently without any issues. Cons The price, it is a little high if you pay for it directly. I would recommend finding a VAR or solution provider and have it bundled in with a RMM, then the price is much better. Network Engineer Information Technology and Services Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "S1 SOC is Top Notch" September 26, 2024 5.0 I have a great experience with S1 and their SOC was always helpful and attentive to my needs and kept me informed throughout any issues I had. Pros Sentinel One is a top notch Cyber security product that saved one of our customers from a large wide Malware/virus threat. All machines that had S1 enabled were virus free and the other computers that were in transition were infected. Cons I the major con that I had issues with the S1 portal was deleting or uninstalling an endpoint or updating endpoints. I had to manually update agents and they weren’t updating on their own. We have had a few infections, which were caught and renediated, but nothing has given us any major grief. Pros Overall, Sentinel One is easy to deploy, easy to monitor and has many features that other AV solutions don't offer or only include at a higher price-point. If Vigilance is added to the subscription, you will sleep better at night. It is pricey, but, knowing that you have a team that responds intantly to an incident is priceless. They can remediate, investigate, roll-back and many other things. This has made my job far easier and I do sleep better at night knowing that someone is always looking out for my environment. Cons During our initial deployment, we had several PC's that had to be reloaded from scratch. This occurred when we began our initial deployment of Windows 10 in our environment. The version we were using caused the OS to stop functioning. Re-imaging was our only option. We reported, and were asked to try a newer version. No further issues and we only had a small handful of PC's affected. Only one other con so far....price. Sentinel One is not cheap, but you get what you pay for. Has a lot of good features and detail if you want to explore it. Reduced the false positive alerts from our old solution. Pros I love how easyer it is to use and the automated rediation, roll back and isolation features to do the work for me. Cons I wish that they had an auto update feature for agent versions. It does update the current version with needed things, but it does not update the installed agent to a new version. Have to push it out manually via the console. Support has been great. No major issues during deployment. Updates have gone relatively smooth. Regular communication about updates and new features. Pros Easy to deploy. Agent is lightweight. Locked down our environment - internal pen-testers have trouble bypassing it. Has saved us a few times as users will be users and click on anything and everything. Has been rock solid for the past year. Happy with the purchase. Cons Sometimes it blocks things and it's tough to tell unless you really dig into it. Sometimes causes legit software to stop working until you whitelist. No automatic update for agents. Pros The design of it is really cool. It's modern and clean and keeps my computer safe from viruses and other threats. Cons It's usually been a great experience! Pros I am generally more technical. so, using SentinelOne's visibility feature you are able to hunt down events on your endpoints. and create alerts based off custom queries. this was very flexible, and I was able to find multiple issues on endpoints just experimenting with their query language. Cons Helpdesk support sometimes was hard to deal with. alerting for custom rules was not very good. May 21, 2022 5.0 Overall it is pretty smooth software, does not affect the endpoint performance, also I feel really secure when I have it install in my endpoint machine. However Security is not single software responsibility, even user have to be very proactive and should take more trainings and stay safe. Pros It is really a pro software in finding out the vulnerability within endpoint, stay secure from threats, this can really save you from bad actors trying to put ransomware in your endpoint, your endpoint can easily be restored back to original state. Further we can integrate with SIEM and after observing the pattern we can have different threats use cases. Cons Nothing I can think of it really worked smooth when I used it, however they can improve the builds in each update, and yes threat actors are thinking out of the box, they also need to think out of the box and build something which can even prevent zero day attacks. I've been impressed with it and would definitely recommend it to anyone. Pros This software is hard to circumvent. I love the quarantine/block options on nefarious files. The notifications work great and there's many options to configure. It's quite simple to manage and makes my job so much easier. Cons Sometimes the agent won't update on a PC. So it has to be manually uninstalledre-installed with special commands from SAFE MODE on Windows PCs. It's uncommon but it does happen.
