Cons It's rather expensive compared to other tools. And build times are quite high (although it should be stated that i don't have any experience with any other comparable tool). Building our apps takes approximately 5-7 times longer than on my mac book pro. When using the faster - even more expensive - build machine it's a little bit faster. I build binaries and apks very fast and I share my apps to testers and final users. Moreover I use it to build web-based version of apps hosted by them, a very nice product! Pros Codemagic is very easy to use, one can start using it in minutes and taking care of more complex settings later. Pros I like the simple UI that made it easy to integrate into our existing products. Also many of the common options such as Slack and S3 are supported for when the artifacts are completed. Cons Some of the common stuff like build number increases could be better addressed rather than needing to create a codemagic file or custom scripts. Would also like to see Google Drive supported in the future. July 15, 2018 5.0 Seamless integration of my cordova and ionic code, and does all the heavy lifting in terms of software deployment and testing, so I can merely focus on the application itself. Pros The primary reason I like this software is because it automated most of the menial coding associated with setting up Cordova/Ionic projecs. I was building an internet-of-things application, using BLE beacons which synced information to the app (made using cordova and ionic, shifted from an HTML/JS website initially), and it was quite troublesome to test and build time and time again. With this, I just upload my code (the fun part of coding) and the other boring parts is done by Nevercode. The compilation & deploy process are super-easy to setup, I was excited to see an option to automagically deploy the artefacts into AWS S3 bucket, which means we can integrate Codemagic into our existing Ci/CD process. Love it! Its cli tools are up to hard tasks like store distribution and code signing. Cons After the 500 free minutes you get to pay 10 cents per minute for a Mac VM. It is higher than some competition that might offer additional functionality and security checks. We had some trouble with SSO setup but it might have been our mistake, not sure about the real issue. It basically just took one try to fully set up automatic builds and the chain of actions afterwards (e.g. uploading the build to AppStore Connect) Cons Compared to my lokal build-setup, it takes ages until a build is created and uploaded. Roughly 15-20x as much. I am using the free tier though, with only the basic macOS VM. Still compared to my M1 MacBook Pro builds take forever until they are done. This worked pretty well with codemagic. Pros Good support for Flutter, a lot deployment features and integrations. The codemagic build is also very flexible.
