They loved that they could see what their child was doing each day (especially after an emotional or difficult drop off). If relatives lived far away, they could still feel included in the child's life with these regular updates. The app was especially helpful during the pandemic when families were not allowed inside the daycare. We would take photos/videos of the environment and upload these for the families to see where their child would be spending their time - offering a virtual tour. This helped ease their mind and also helped the child's transition into our care go smoother during those hard pandemic days! Pros I loved everything about Storypark! I loved that it was easy to invite families to join the app; you could direct message users; you'd receive notifications for new comments or messages; there were learning tags to easily document what the children were learning; families could even turn their photo memories into a printed album through the app! This app made engaging with families easier! Cons Sometimes the app was slow or it would glitch and lose the story I was working on creating, causing me to have to start writing it all over again. I can check in any time I want rather than call and know what he’s doing. Cons The only issue I have is with editing/adding photos. Sometimes it doesn’t transfer well from one platform to another, or goes black. There’s no additional customization that you can do either, like add stickers or turn the angle of the pic, etc. customer service really wasn’t great.
