Cons Not as many design features for learning stories as what you can do on other programmes i.e limited way of doing photos, fonts and printing stories. This is able to be accessed for most online, on their phones and to include a multitude of different people to communicate with, including extended families overseas or in other areas of the country. Great tool for documenting children’s progress in an easy, fast way. Great tool!! Pros Fast, easy to use, clear and everything all in one place. It is such a great tool for easy communication with other teachers, families, and children to be apart of their learning journey. Pros It is easy to use the outcomes are their to guide your story. It is easy to link stories to child notes and other stories you can add other content with ease. I also see this from the parent side as well and think it is easy to read and see updates. Pros Easy to use, great for communicating with families, options to pull reports, we use it for programing, observations, communication and community notices. Families are also in turn able to communicate with us and share some snapshots of their lives creating a more well rounded holestic view of the child. The printing, especially for the planning part really needs improvement so the teacher can have a paper copy of the plan available in the room in a format that they can actually read. Pros Ease of use to write stories and upload photos. Links with parents and whanau through comments and conversations. Community posts. Planning features. Reports features. Summary of activity on each child's profile at a glance (last stories, number of stories in the last month) Cons printing feature: poor layout of stories if several photos, plannings are printed far too small when printed. April 2, 2019 5.0 Overall i'm happy with my experience, i have full access to story park on my laptop, i love communicating with families. Story park is great for capturing a moment and putting it straight up on story park so tablets are fabulous for this. Pros What i love about story park is i can take the families on a journey. Ultimately i can tell the families a story, starting from a comment they make (child lead) and turning that into intentional teaching moments. Its exciting as parents can watch the journey unfold and be apart of it. I love the families comments. We are connecting families with their children in childcare centers and with their educators. This is so important to me as families put a lot of trust in the educators looking after their children. Cons My only complaint is i cant fully access Story park on my tablet device.
