### "Please for the love of God avoid them at all costs!!!"

Epos Now has got to be the worst company I have ever dealt with. First they conned me into getting their complete Epos solution by assuring me it would work with my Datalogic scanner and scale hardware. When it did not work and I complained, they claimed they never told me their solution would work with my hardware. When I made a data request to retrieve the chat between myself and their sales rep to prove I was right, I got nothing but excuses. After months of ignoring my requests, I gave them notice that I won't renew my subscription when the initial 12 month agreement ended. I closed my account in their till back office on the last day of the agreement, but they still charged me for the upcoming month. When I called their support to complain, they claimed I never sent them any notice to terminate my agreement, even though I had forwarded the email I sent to them over a month before and had also sent a letter via special delivery which they did confirm they had received. Eventually they closed my account. Not trusting them, I contacted my bank to block them from debiting money from my account. Months later and they are still trying to collect money from my account. When I call or try to contact them via live chat, all I get is promises they'll get someone who can help to call me back, which they never do. I would not recommend Epos Now to even my worst enemy.

Pros

I find it very difficult to say there is anything I like about Epos Now after my experience. If I have to, I'd say having a convenient till system and back office available in one solution made the managing sales easier.

Cons

They would make up anything to sell their product and would ignore any request to cancel your subscription then keep charging you even after your subscription has been cancelled. Epos Now are a very unreliable and completely untrustworthy company.

There were a number of other products not listed. We chose Epos Now because they claimed that their complete solution could be integrated with the Datalogic scanner / scale which was installed for our conveyor belt checkout counter. It ended up not working and what followed was just lies and excuses.

### "We Love the Ease"

Wonderful. We loved it so much we added a second cash register. And the second one was cheaper than the first time around.

Pros

Easy to use, great for all kinds of businesses. Wonderful customer service. I like that I can add employees or delete employees with ease. And each employee has their own security pin so there is no having to change the whole system.

Cons

When we were out of internet due to a storm our Epos would not run without internet for more than 1 day. We had to go old school with paper and calculator.

### "Beware!!!!"

Pros

Software and interface is user friendly. I understand why it’s appealing but you’re trapped- it’s not worth it

Cons

We’ve used Eposnow software and hardware for 5 years. The hardware that we are using and purchased from EposNow is starting to fail and despite paying support they advised they no longer support this hardware and sold us a replacement monitor. This “replacement monitor” is a locked device and we can’t access the internet on it. We therefore can’t access our emails and place orders which are essential day to day business tasks that our previous hardware was capable with. Despite asking for a return for the hardware we’ve been advised by customer service they won’t accept it back. I’ve repeatedly asked for a phone call to discuss and we’re constantly brushed off and ignored. Since Epos now has stopped integration of payments we were going to switch contracts to their own payments but if this is the customer service they offer after being with them in 5 years we’ve lost all respect for the company. They don’t value existing customers, only ones signing on. Beware.

### "Unannounced service disruption and poor communication impacting trading"

Having been a customer of EposNow for several years, what occurred on 23rd April was highly disruptive and unacceptable for a business-critical service. Overnight, it appeared that a significant number of customers, including our own business, were effectively required to use EposNow hardware in order to continue processing card payments. We had previously been operating successfully using the Paymentsense Cloud App in conjunction with our existing PaymentSense terminals without issue. Without prior warning, this functionality ceased to operate. This resulted in a complete interruption to trading. For several hours, we were unable to accept card payments while attempting to identify the cause of the issue. No communication, alerts, or prior notification were provided by EposNow, which left us without clarity or direction during a critical period of trading. It subsequently became apparent that we were not the only business affected. A large number of customers using third-party integrations experienced similar disruption, effectively losing the ability to process payments overnight. This led to immediate operational impact, including lost revenue, operational delays, and customer dissatisfaction, all of which could have been mitigated with appropriate communication and planning. At no point was any formal explanation provided regarding the reason for this change, nor was any transition period communicated. As a result, we were left to manage the situation independently and, in order to continue trading at a basic level, we were required to place our card readers into standalone mode. As a small business operating within a challenging hospitality environment, this level of disruption without warning or support was entirely unacceptable. There was no proactive communication, no structured transition, and limited effective support when issues arose. To compound the situation, EposNow’s own support documentation directed users to download an application that was not available in our region, further increasing confusion and delaying resolution at a critical time. Overall, the handling of this situation demonstrated a lack of communication and consideration for long-standing customers. The impact on operations was significant and avoidable. As a result, we are actively reviewing alternative EPOS providers and intend to move away from EposNow. This experience has fundamentally undermined confidence in the platform. This level of disruption, without warning or clear communication, is not acceptable for a business-critical system.

Pros

The system was generally functional when operating as expected and had been suitable for day-to-day EPOS and card payment processing prior to the incident. It integrated with our existing setup for a period of time without major issues.

Cons

Severe lack of communication regarding critical changes affecting payment processing. No prior warning or transition period was provided when functionality was removed, resulting in unexpected business downtime. Support documentation was also inaccurate, directing users to unavailable applications, which added confusion during an already critical situation. Overall handling of the incident demonstrated poor planning, inadequate customer communication, and insufficient support for affected businesses.

EPOS Now is so easy to work with that I have not needed to consider any other similar products in the 5 years I have been a customer.

Pros

EPOS NOW provides a quality product that is easy to operate and utilize in a variety of ways in a variety of settings. New staff catch on quickly and adjustment can be made easily to accommodate new products and customer needs. It is a superior product.

Cons

The only difficulty I have experience is occasional interruptions in the transfer of funds, but they were handled quickly and efficiently. Also, the time difference between the United States and England required an adjustment when reaching out of help in the beginning, but my account manager, Hayden Greenhall, does a spectacular job of keeping in contact and resolving any minor problems we have experienced.

Easy to use difficult to load stock, worked well when running but never could do end of day reconcilliation

Cons

Almost no customer support, tech support always bkamed our internet which is perfect. Our replacemnt alternative has had no such issue. Company made promises of credits and refunds, nover honoured

### "The Best Epos System for our Busy Restaurants"

I found Epos Now after hours of research and was pleased to discover they were the industry leader. The hardware is excellent and everything works so well. I use the app on my iPhone to check sales and staff hours, even when at home or out and about. I would definitely recommend, and already have to another new restaurant owner, who has decided to use Epos Now and is also very pleased with the product.

Pros

We use Epos Now at both our restaurants and love everything about it. The annual fee for our multiple tills is very reasonable and the software is comprehensive, allowing for detailed sales reporting, staff login, timesheet and payroll recording and much more. The security features are excellent from passwords, staff login codes and auto timeout options on the screens. It is easy to take payments and you can add other tenders, allowing us to integrate our gift vouchers on the system. The customer helpline is useful and I have always managed to get through to an operator who has been able to help.

Cons

Being able to create a multiple choice product that was a minus amount would be useful. For example we sell a burger for £17 but a naked burger is £15 so this has to be a separate product rather than being able to press a button that removed £2.

very good, easy to use the back office save for a very few functionalities but, I put that down to lack of use and the fact I only do this part time.

sales and purchasing information is excellent on the back office and the ability to export reports and print is good.

Cons

integrating card machines and adding them to different tills when required without undy delays, that maybe down to our bad internet reception.

Pros

We have been with Epos Now for 9 years. It has been a great journey with good customer support. The payment processing has been seamless. The product just works.

Cons

There are no cons as far as I am concerned. I just hope that the service continues as is and even offers more in the future.

Decent software and has developed well over time. It was good to use it for certain aspects but could become slightly overcomplicated in certain areas.

Pros

It was a fairly sophisticated system and had lots of great features. Splitting up of venues and products was a little more complicated than hoped for. It was priced well priced and worth it though. Always pretty easier to problem solve with customer services

Cons

A bit clunky in certain areas and could have been a bit mor straightforward in some areas of the back office but generally did what was required of it for our needs.

### "Reliable - never lose a sale"

Epos Now is a great company to deal with. Good phone support and lots of online tutorials. Simple easy to use back office and lots of flexiblity in POS layout

Pros

Great back office. Flexible layout. We tried 3 other POS systems before changing to Epos Now. This is the best. We do lots of markets and festival. Other stall holders often lose internet reception. We never lose internet. As the system is not connected to our phones we do not have to leave our phones in the stall.

Cons

On the sales screen the button to finish a sale is located next to the button to review other sales such as completed, held etc. I often hit the wrong button then it takes a bit longer to get back to the current sale. The button for reprinting receipt is the only button accessed by this tab that we actually use regurally

### "McCarthy Witchery LTD Till system."

Very positive in the whole. Very pleased with the products, customer service, professionalism and advice. Problems can be sorted out over the phone and nothing is too big or small.

Pros

very easy to use for our small LTD company. Has everything we need from categories and coloured buttons to easy add and adjust and the ability to find out all our stats and best sellers. payments are always prompt and go straight into our business account keeping everything with in easy reach and easy to keep track off. The features in the back office are amazing and again so easy to navigate and find stats/ best sellers and records. Yes prompt and easy to get a replacement till when the till roll door broke. There's lots of training and advice calls as part of the contract.

Cons

There's lots of adviser calls and calls when you named adviser isn't available which can be over the top when you have already spoken to people. Wasn't made aware that if you don't use your card reader for x days you can be charged. The only real problem we had was the till was set up for a clothes shop and then a fruit and vegetable shop after our initial training on the back office which is neither what we are.

### "Highly recommend and not one problem"

100% positive and a great experience. The service level is awesome, the contact centre is knowledgable and its just positive, positive, positive

Pros

Everything since I first spoke to Epos Now about using their till system with us at 7378 Limited (a greengrocers, so don't be fooled by the name) has been top notch and very good. The initial contact, the follow up training and even when I've had an issue or concern someone has answered the phone and dealt with it straight away. I've never had to wait more than a couple of hours to get anything answered or sorted. Plus there's always been a follow up call or email as well to make sure that I'm happy

Cons

If I'm honest there isn't anything that I'd change or am unhappy about even giving feedback has been simple and easy.

A versatile and reliable system that is well suited to the hospitality industry. With a little more development it would also be excellent for club management.

Pros

Easy to use and reliable at a reasonable price. When issues do occur the support is excellent. Card integration is generally reliable and speedy which is vital at busy times. Back office functionality is excellent with a good range of views to meet most needs.

Cons

Being a sports club we use the Customer facility for Club membership. This is an area that needs more development. Adding a picture would help identify members. Giving members a remote view of their membership status including account balance would be a big improvement. This could then lead to remote charging of account via link facility.

### "A Robust system with Good value for Money"

Pros

I have been using EPOSNOW for one year now and I am glad that I made the decision. I am new to business and this is my first venture. Without the system I might have been clueless of what is happening in my business. It is secure reliable and a great customer service with excellent after care. They are good at credit card and payment processing. Overall a good value for money.

Cons

some small enhancements may make system more useful. I don't get the option to see how much change I need to give to customer when paid by cash. I calculate it manually.

Pros

All the above is excellent. I have had only 1 problem and they were very helpful getting the problem sorted. 100% good

Cons

When you come to the end of the day on the card machine you can't print a total out for that day, I have to do the transaction one by one

Excellent. Been very helpful, easy to work with and reasonably easy to contact. When required I have had telephone assistance which has been excellent.

Pros

Efficient, good customer service. Knowledge of advisors is excellent. Quick pay over of takings. Very happy.

Cons

Ability to have the option to print a customer receipt or not. Sometimes a customer requires a printed receipt. Most of the time they do not.

You'd just need to go to the back office and select the option "New Email Receipt" which will then prompt you if you'd like to send an email receipt, print a receipt or no receipt. As a small business having purchased three machine licenses we find two are rarely used. As a consequence we often pay fixed charges for machines that are idle

Easy too use and helpful staff that most always answer fast and the fast payment of my funds into my account.

Cons

Somtimes my screen freezes and this is not helpful when I am serving people. Would be great if my options would have a line ican add a word instead of scrolling
