My overall experience was good, not great, nothing stood out to me as working better than other products we have tried. I think this would work better for companies who track a smaller amount of active projects or opportunities.

Pros

The easy of being able to track projects, equipment, status of projects and equipment, the state at which an opportunity or project was in was easy.

Cons

It was not easy to add additional information like installation notes, tasks managment, scheduling, all were not easy to do within D-tools. we found other products to handle these tasks more efficient.

D-Tools has helped give us a well laid out proposal and design for 10+ years. Almost every job has gone through D-Tools. Even have begun to use the service and service contract part.

Pros

D-Tools has been essential for our business for many years. While we do not use every feature for every job. The flexibility of it still allows us to use at least the basics on every job.

Cons

The integration into the business takes some time and always take a degree of on going maintenance. I wish they would bring back the community items. Often these would be more accurate than the manufacturer. Also would like to see improvements on the Service Ticket/CRM features. Feel the mobile would be nice as an app that is not always dependent on internet.

Reasons for choosing D-Tools System Integrator (SI)

SRS at the time was much more complicated. D-Tools was up front about the entry and the challenges thereof. Portal didn't exist at the time. We did try it for a time but D-Toll was a better fit for our business.

there is no support. we paid yearly for support and they are not there when you need help. if you need to send a proposal, you have to wait for hours for support to get back. and by then you are probably busy with something else...

Pros

D-tools has made it possible for me to assist clients with design and quoting without them having to do all of the work. Once they add me as a collaborator, I am able to take care of their design needs at my leisure. Saves my clients money and time! LOVE D-Tools.

Scheduling D-Tools company and project calendars enable you to create Install Tasks and Service Orders for any project or resource. Tasks and Service Orders can be moved around the calendar via drag and drop, making it easy to accommodate schedule changes.

SI 2017 adds significant performance enhancements in addition to system design and productivity improvements that enable system integrators to both maximize the efficiency of their business processes and increase profitability. Building new functionality on the architecture of the System Integrator platform as well as expanding on D-Tools Cloud infrastructure, SI 2017 also adds powerful business intelligence and visual reporting to enable business owners and management to understand and better perform key functions of an integrator's business

Pros

I like how much you can do with the program. Around every corner I feel like there is something that i can do that I never knew i could. It defiantly is a robust piece of software.

Cons

You can get really lost in the program. I feel like I am learning a new language. Every time i need to do something i am having to ask a million questions to those that do know the program. I wish it was easier but knowing how robust it is i guess it can't.
