Not stable. Look for alternatives. Pros It is able to handle fair amount of continous logs (>1.000 per second). Performance is ok and the gui is somewhat intuitive. Nagios support is helpful (although not able to solve complex issues that requires a skilled Nagios Log Server consultant). Cons Upgrade of Nagios Log Server is a pain. If you are stuck on an older Linux distro that does not have in-place upgrade possibility, you are left with a manual setup, import of config files and restore of logs which fails over and over. Things stop working for no apparent reason. Be aware of that Nagios Log Server requires exceptional skills in the product or consultancy from an external partner. With a bit of experience, you can fine tune them based on log pattern or specific anomalies (CPU usage). Pros All logs are in one place.It is easy to navigate through menus, you can filter and quickly find relevant log entries. Setting up reports and dashboards takes longer, but then you have the data you need presented the way it suits your managers and the customer.Once notification alerts have been configured, you can integrate them with other systems- mail notifications or directly Service Now. Cons Takes you a bit of time to configure your first event notification, but once you have a couple of them behind you, it sort of starts to feel intuitive.
