Honestly don't know how we managed before Missive. Our old system was just a nightmare of forwarded emails and CC chains. Now everything's centralized and everyone knows what's happening. The transparency alone has probably saved us hours each week. Setup was straightforward and support was helpful when we had questions. I am very happy with this choice.

Pros

The ability to have multiple inboxes (support, billing, general inquiries) all in one place is exactly what we needed. The @mentions in internal comments make it super easy to loop in the right person without forwarding emails back and forth.

Cons

I'd love it if there were more pre-built templates for common responses - you can create your own, but having some starter ones would've helped initially.

Pros

Consolidates multiple Gmail accounts into one clean interface, works entirely in the browser, and the mobile app is genuinely good. Customer support is responsive and helpful.

Cons

Took a little getting used to initially - took me ages to figure out how to use the sidebar effectively - it thinks slightly differently to a standard email client. Not a complaint really, just an adjustment.

It's fairly easy to use, and email rules and labels seem to be very customizable but there are some shortcomings that can be improved.

Pros

The ease of use, labels, setup, canned responses and different team inboxes.

Cons

Better email thread organization for easier printing. Also, the inability of being unable to copy the text from the email print screen in Missive.

To summarize my experience: my absolute go to solution for both privet and shared e-mail boxes. Centralizing rules, templates, and signatures make Missive a perfect tool for organizational teams.

Pros

I absolutely love Missive. I have been using it quite some time now, since they were just in the start-up phase. For private mail accounts it provides all tools you need (for free, mostly). Lots of functionality and lots of integrations: from Todoist (or similar) to openAI or API access. Also an absolute must for teams: affordable plans for a very broad package of team functionality: delegating conversations, tagging each other, discussing conversations, managed signatures, managed responses (templates), and shared inboxes. I have been doubting recently between Spark en Missive, but given Missive's extra and stable functionality over Spark combined with its reasonable pricing it is an absolute no brainer for me to choose Missive. Over the last few years it has been working perfectly on both my MacBook and iPhone. Also love the automations (workflow) through rules and conditions.

Cons

So far there is not much I do not like about Missive. I think it is a responsive web-app across the different platforms (instead of a dedicated app), but that's something you barely notice while using it. It makes the experience solid, stable, and uniform across all platforms.

Pros

SO easy to communicate internally about customer requests. Constant updates. Easy to learn. Such a great product!

Cons

Would love it if group text messages was easier to use with the dialpad integration. We use group texts a lot with customers and would be a great add.

I have been using Missive for the past five years, and my experience has been very positive. It allows me to manage client communications and internal team communications in one centralized platform. I do not see a need to switch to any other software, as it provides everything I require.

Pros

Ability to double-check with experienced team members before sending has been extremely valuable—particularly when handling complex billing disputes or unusual payment scenarios. Additionally, the ready-made response templates we have developed are highly effective, especially when managing repetitive payment confirmation requests throughout the day.

Cons

Some of our vendor invoices come through as PDFs that don't display correctly in the preview pane, which means I end up downloading them anyway. It's a minor inconvenience but happens often enough to be noticeable.

Pros

I really appreciate being able to see the complete payment discussion history with each client - helps me understand their payment patterns and approach conversations appropriately. The tagging system we set up (30 days overdue, 60 days, payment plan, dispute) makes it easy to prioritize which accounts need immediate attention.

The mobile version is good but missing some desktop features that would be useful when checking account status away from my computer.

That's not a problem anymore - the whole team sees the same information and we speak with one voice. Wish we'd made the change sooner honestly.

Pros

Being able to close out conversations once an invoice is settled keeps everything tidy and stops resolved stuff from cluttering up the workspace. The automation handles all the sorting that we used to do manually. And the templates we put together for our most repeated situations - confirming payments, explaining late fees, laying out payment plan terms - have genuinely cut the time I spend on routine emails way down.

Cons

Filtering options could be more detailed - being able to sort by invoice amount or payment due date would make tracking things down a lot quicker.

Its been overwhelmingly positive for our businesses. Very easy to deal with them. Great features and updates as well.

Pros

Very good to consolidate slack features, which email, and phone lines. We have built so many SOP's and frameworks around it.

Cons

That they don't have their own VOIP service. We integrate dialpad which works pretty well but if they had their own phone system, it would be incredible.

Found Missive a couple of years ago and decided not to pull the trial. Found it again last month and just finished up my trial... Let me tell you this... it blows Superhuman and any other Email Client (I've tried like 4-5 this year alone) out of the water. I highly recommend it!

Pros

Their incoming and outgoing rules is amazing. The ability to combine that with AI for task creation is next level

Cons

The only thing is I would like more abilities when it comes to task creation and task management but I had to stretch to say that.

Missive works really well for what we need and how we need to set it up to fit our use case. It keeps emails organized through labels and shared inboxes, helps the team work together easier, and has great support. Even though a few features are missing, it is still very helpful and easy to use.

Pros

I like using Missive because it helps our team keep all our emails in one shared inbox. Everyone can see messages, assign a colleague to take care of an email, and reply from a single email address, which makes work faster. They usually update the system from time to time with new features to make it better. Their support team is great at clarifying questions/inquiries and providing tailor fit answers. Our transition from Gmail to Missive was easy even for those that are not super tech-savvy people.

Cons

I still have a few email feature related questions that aren't there yet but are possible with CRMs and a few limitations with integrations through Zapier without using webhooks.

Pros

What I liked most is the flexibility offered by Missive integrations: we easily connect it with Notion, Make, and WhatsApp, centralizing communications and automating tasks. The API connectivity, focused inbox, ability to “pin” discussions with links, and the sharing of entire conversations (including team comments) help us keep track of key topics and deadlines across four separate work teams, even with external collaborators. The interface is lightweight and intuitive, and task management prevents anything from slipping through the cracks.

Cons

The advanced search could be more flexible, especially for large volumes of communications. There are still some useful features that could be added to further simplify daily work.

I'm coming from Spark Mail and I wanted to find something that allows me to organize better my emails and collaborate better. The collaboration system on Missive I think is the best one I ever tried. So that's why we moved from Spark to Missive because we found it a lot better on that side. And we just also upgraded the plan after I think nearly two years of use for the full potential.

Pros

The collaboration system is really, really good and is very easy to use. Also for Mac is great because looks native and there is a lot of shortcuts that I really love using as it makes me more productive and move faster organizing my mails. they also have a really great rule system that automate everything.

Cons

It's just a little expensive as I'm based in Italy, but I think that it's a good investment. So it's really full packed of features at the beginning could be a little overwhelming and you would probably not use the full potential of it.

I dont think it will be easy to make a transition from easy to another app. i think that says it all.

Pros

I really like how efficient it is, user friendly , easy to learn and multitasking efficient as well.

Cons

I really dont like the pricing plans, because for a small 6-person company we work at it forces us from the 5 people starter plan which is durable to go to the 6-people plan which skyrockets the price, so we have a cooworker not signed in.
