### "Great app, easy 5/5 stars"

May 19, 2026

5.0

So far, everything has been pretty awesome! It’s definitely worth the money, as it has saved us a huge amount of time through clear team communication that connects directly with emails. I can’t recommend it enough. On top of that, the team behind Missive really listens to feedback. We experienced this firsthand when they personally helped us solve an issue that technically wasn’t even their responsibility — but they still went out of their way to help. Easy 5/5 stars. Hopefully it only keeps getting better over time.

Pros

\* Fast and reliable, we love the speed! \* Saves our team time and money = buying it actually saved our money \* Great-looking and modern UI - minimalist approach that we enjoy \* Excellent mobile performance even for our IMAP accounts \* Helpful and responsive support team - thanks!

Cons

There are still a few smaller areas such as search in IMAP accounts that could be improved over time, but nothing that significantly affects our daily workflow. The product is already very solid and keeps getting better with updates.

### "Easy Collaboration, but Takes Time to Learn"

April 23, 2026

5.0

My overall experience with Missive has been really positive. It’s been a great tool for keeping team communication and emails in one place, which makes collaboration much more efficient. I especially like being able to assign conversations and leave internal comments, as it helps keep everything organized and transparent. While it did take a bit of time to get used to all the features, once I got the hang of it, it definitely improved our workflow and made managing emails as a team much easier.

Pros

What I like most about Missive is how it keeps team communication and emails in one place. The ability to collaborate on threads, leave internal comments, and assign conversations makes it easy to stay organized and ensures nothing gets missed.

Cons

It can feel overwhelming at first due to many features. The interface gets cluttered, and notifications can be easy to miss sometimes.

Switched from

[Gmail](https://www.capterra.com/p/202338/Gmail/)

While Gmail works well for individual use, it’s not built for shared inboxes or real-time teamwork. Missive lets us assign conversations, leave internal comments, and see who’s replying, which helps avoid duplicate responses and keeps everyone aligned. Overall, it makes managing emails as a team more organized, efficient, and transparent.

### "It's a very good service but can be improved with QoL changes. "

November 19, 2024

3.0

It's fairly easy to use, and email rules and labels seem to be very customizable but there are some shortcomings that can be improved.

Pros

The ease of use, labels, setup, canned responses and different team inboxes.

Cons

Better email thread organization for easier printing. Also, the inability of being unable to copy the text from the email print screen in Missive.

### "The perfect solution for freelancers, SME's, and larger organizational teams"

January 13, 2026

5.0

To summarize my experience: my absolute go to solution for both privet and shared e-mail boxes. Centralizing rules, templates, and signatures make Missive a perfect tool for organizational teams.

Pros

I absolutely love Missive. I have been using it quite some time now, since they were just in the start-up phase. For private mail accounts it provides all tools you need (for free, mostly). Lots of functionality and lots of integrations: from Todoist (or similar) to openAI or API access. Also an absolute must for teams: affordable plans for a very broad package of team functionality: delegating conversations, tagging each other, discussing conversations, managed signatures, managed responses (templates), and shared inboxes. I have been doubting recently between Spark en Missive, but given Missive's extra and stable functionality over Spark combined with its reasonable pricing it is an absolute no brainer for me to choose Missive. Over the last few years it has been working perfectly on both my MacBook and iPhone. Also love the automations (workflow) through rules and conditions.

Cons

So far there is not much I do not like about Missive. I think it is a responsive web-app across the different platforms (instead of a dedicated app), but that's something you barely notice while using it. It makes the experience solid, stable, and uniform across all platforms.

### " The inbox fix I didn't know I needed"

April 10, 2026

5.0

Missive quietly became one of my most-used tools. I run multiple businesses with separate inboxes and it brought everything into one place without fuss. Efficient, well-designed, and it just works.

Pros

Consolidates multiple Gmail accounts into one clean interface, works entirely in the browser, and the mobile app is genuinely good. Customer support is responsive and helpful.

Cons

Took a little getting used to initially - took me ages to figure out how to use the sidebar effectively - it thinks slightly differently to a standard email client. Not a complaint really, just an adjustment.

### "The solution I've needed for years"

May 15, 2026

5.0

Very positive, super robust, and I like being able to communicate and collaborate with my team. Shared inboxes are really helpful.

Pros

Missive is the solution to a problem we've had for a long time. Email collaboration, onboarding new staff who need access to multiple inboxes, automated rules, signatures, group chat, etc. It's made internal communication, email handoff, and overall collaboration a breeze. Their customer support is very fast and responsive, A+. Big fan!

Cons

I wish they had a way to video chat (like Slack has) team members and since it's very robust, integration takes a little longer than I'd like

### "Missive Features I Thoroughly Enjoy :-)"

December 29, 2025

5.0

Very good. I was skeptical at first (I've been using Microsoft Outlook for 20+ years) but now I work with a remote team and Missive is super helpful.

Pros

I really like having multiple inboxes in one place, and the ability to tag team members with quick comments instead of extra emails. I also like the snooze options/features to help me organize followups.

Cons

Sometimes the search function doesn't feel 'broad' enough. Example: I want to find order SO110000397. If I search using only numbers (110000397) it doesn't come up unless I clear my filters.

### "Love Missive!"

April 24, 2026

Amazing. Great customer support. Easy to use. Great value for the money. We've been customers for years.

Pros

SO easy to communicate internally about customer requests. Constant updates. Easy to learn. Such a great product!

Cons

Would love it if group text messages was easier to use with the dialpad integration. We use group texts a lot with customers and would be a great add.

### "Billing process way more organized now "

May 21, 2026

5.0

We started using Missive about seven months ago and our billing work runs way smoother now. Before, client billing emails were all over the place in everyone's personal inboxes and we'd sometimes give clients conflicting info about the same invoice. Now everyone sees the same stuff and our answers are consistent.

Pros

I love being able to mark conversations as done once invoices are settled - keeps our workspace tidy. Automatic rules keep our workflow organized without doing it manually. Templates for common billing stuff (payment confirmations, late fee explanations, payment plans) have cut my response time in half.

Cons

It would be very helpful to have enhanced filtering and sorting options within the system, particularly for invoice amounts, due dates, payment dates, and outstanding balances. Improved filters would make it easier to review transactions, track pending invoices, and identify payment trends efficiently. Additional features such as customizable date ranges, multi-condition filtering, and quick search functionality would significantly improve day-to-day accounting operations. These improvements would also help during reconciliations, month-end closing, and audit preparation by reducing manual effort and saving time. Overall, more flexible filtering capabilities would improve accuracy, reporting efficiency, and the overall user experience for managing invoices and payments.

### "Collections finally under control"

May 26, 2026

5.0

Been using Missive for our receivables work for almost a year now. It's really improved our collection results - we're getting paid faster because nothing slips through the cracks anymore. The teamwork features mean newer people can easily hand off tough collection calls to experienced staff.

Pros

I really like seeing the full payment conversation history with each client - helps me understand how they pay and talk to them the right way. The tagging system we created (30 days late, 60 days late, payment plan, dispute) makes it easy to see which accounts need urgent attention.

Cons

The phone version is decent but missing some computer features that would help when checking accounts while I'm out and about.

It has a significant impact on our team's workflow and our overall experience has been positive so far.

Cons

### "Missive App: A Game-Changer for Email and Team Collaboration"

April 2, 2025

5.0

Exceptional. I feel fortunate to have found Missive because I had spent years trying out new email management tools and chat tools and productivity tools. With Missive it streamlines so I could eliminate some tools but also stop my search for looking for something that works perfect for me and can be grown into as well.

Pros

I've been using Missive for a couple of years now, and it's been a game-changer for my email management and productivity workflow. After trying out Front, which was too expensive and bulky for my needs, I stumbled upon Missive, and it's been a little miracle find. Missive is incredibly easy to use, even for someone who's not tech-savvy. The interface is clean and minimalistic, making it simple to navigate and find all the features you need. I love how I can connect all my email accounts, manage tasks, and even customize tags with icons and colors. The ability to upload custom icons for tags is a small but thoughtful touch that shows how much attention they pay to detail. It allows me to collaborate seamlessly on emails, assign tasks, and chat in real-time without cluttering up our inboxes. The snooze feature is also a lifesaver, helping me focus on immediate tasks and revisiting emails when it's more convenient. What really sets Missive apart is their customer support. They're always quick to respond and genuinely helpful. Whether you're a solo entrepreneur or part of a larger team, they treat you like you're their most important customer. The documentation is thorough, but it's reassuring to know there's a real person available to answer any questions you might have. I was fortunate enough to get grandfathered into a super price, but even with their occasional price adjustments, Missive remains an excellent value. They're constantly rolling out new features, which is impressive, especially since they work smoothly without the usual glitches you might expect from frequent updates. Why Missive Stands Out To Me- Compared to other tools like Front, Missive is more streamlined and cost-effective. Missive's simplicity and ease of use make it perfect for teams of all sizes looking to streamline their communication without unnecessary complexity. It's ideal for both small teams and larger corporations seeking a user-friendly solution. Missive has genuinely transformed how I manage my emails and chats. It's one of those rare tools that feels like it was made just for you. Whether you're a freelancer or part of a growing business, Missive offers the flexibility and features you need to stay organized and productive. It's definitely worth giving a try if you're looking for a tool that will make your work life easier.

Cons

I love Missive, I don't have any cons. Missive is always thinking of features that we don't have to request!

Switched from

### "Much better control over receivables tracking"

April 30, 2026

5.0

Coming up on a year using this for collections and accounts receivable. Our collection rates are genuinely better - stuff doesn't fall off our radar anymore so we're actually getting paid quicker. Also really helps that newer folks on the team can easily bump tricky collection cases up to someone more experienced without a bunch of forwarding and explaining.

Pros

Having the full payment conversation history right there helps me figure out how to handle each client - you can spot the patterns and adjust your approach accordingly. We built out a tagging system based on how overdue things are (30 days, 60 days, on payment plans, or disputed) which makes it dead simple to focus on the urgent stuff first.

Cons

The phone app works fine for basics but missing some of the desktop functionality I'd want when I need to check on accounts away from my computer.

Overall, Missive has helped us stay organized, avoid missed emails, and improve team coordination. It’s a reliable tool for managing client communication efficiently.

Cons

### "Keeps team email visible"

March 30, 2026

5.0

We use Missive every day for team email. It fixed many small problems and stopped us from replying to the same email twice. Took a little time to learn, but now it's just how we work. Really helpful for keeping track of ongoing conversations and avoiding duplicate replies. Setup took some effort, but once it was ready, it's been running smoothly. Overall, it does what we need without causing problems.

Pros

The internal notes feature - it's simple but really useful for adding context. We don't need to forward emails anymore to explain things to each other. Assigning emails is easy to do and change during busy times, which helps a lot.

Cons

The default notifications are too loud until everyone adjusts their settings, and the mobile app doesn't have all the features.

### "Useful for managing tax season emails."

April 9, 2026

5.0

Started using Missive last tax season and it genuinely lowered our stress during the busiest months. Before, client emails were scattered everywhere and we'd sometimes do the same work twice or give clients conflicting advice. Now the whole tax team sees the same information and we can work together well even when working from home.

Pros

Tax season means tons of client questions, document requests, and extension paperwork. Missive keeps our tax team organized when things get crazy. Being able to assign client emails to specific preparers based on their skills (corporate vs. individual, simple vs. complex) makes our work flow much smoother.

Cons

The search could be stronger for finding specific tax document types across different client conversations.

### "Good tool for handling both payables and receivables"

April 4, 2026

5.0

Been using Missive for our combined AP/AR work for nearly eight months. It's brought much-needed organization to what was previously a messy mix of individual email accounts and forwarded messages.

Pros

Managing both accounts payable and receivable means juggling vendor payments and client collections at the same time. Missive lets us create separate shared inboxes for AP and AR while keeping everything on one platform.

Cons

Would be better with stronger connection to ERP systems - right now we manually update payment systems after email conversations.

### "Great for keeping sales conversations organized"

March 18, 2026

5.0

Been using Missive for about 8 months now and it's become essential to how our sales team operates. The visibility into who's handling what deal is crucial, especially when someone's out of office. Onboarding new sales reps is easier because they can see how senior team members craft responses. Definitely recommend for any team that needs to collaborate on email.

Pros

What really sold me on Missive was being able to collaborate on important client emails before hitting send. My team can draft responses together, leave suggestions in comments, and make sure we're all aligned on messaging. The rules and automation also help keep our pipeline organized without manual sorting.

Cons

The search is good but could be faster when you're looking through months of old conversations. All good

### "Good visibility into team emails"

April 8, 2026

5.0

We started using Missive across the accounting department about ten months ago. It's given me the oversight I need while letting my team work on their own. The transparency has improved accountability - people know their work is visible, which keeps quality high.

Pros

Being able to jump into conversations when needed - either to help with complicated issues or make sure we follow the rules - is really valuable. I especially appreciate being able to review draft replies to sensitive topics (disputed invoices, collection issues, audit responses) before they're sent.

Cons

The permission levels could be more detailed for larger teams with multiple authority levels. Along with that, the interface could be better.

### "A solid shared inbox tool that actually makes team collaboration easier"

June 9, 2026

5.0

Overall, the experience has been positive. It has helped us manage shared inboxes much better and improved visibility across the team. We’ve reduced duplicate replies and improved response time, which was a big issue earlier.

Pros

What stood out to me is how well Missive brings email and internal collaboration together. The ability to chat with teammates inside an email thread (without the client seeing it) is a big plus. It really cuts down on back-and-forth across tools like Slack and Gmail.

Cons

There is definitely a bit of a learning curve at the start, especially for teams that are used to traditional email tools. Some of the automation and workflow features take time to fully understand.

Pros

Cons

### "Super App!"

May 1, 2025

5.0

I've had a great experience with Missive and their support is really top!

Pros

As an agency owner it was tricky to find a work app that combined tasks, emails and collaboration. Most apps are too focused on customer service, and when you have to internally work on tasks across different threads that aren't related to CS they seriously lag and honestly end up being so expensive for what they offer. I settled with Missive after testing 15+ apps. Missive is made for speed, collaboration and for managing tasks. I love the ease of use, and how simple they make it. Because as soon as you have 50+ emails coming in and a multitude of tasks, things start to get complex fast and that's where simplicity helps. We manage 1000s of emails with ease. I am VERY HAPPY with Missive and I don't think there are other apps in this space that even work for our need. They have many native integrations and you can integrate with API and automations via Make and Zapier. You can easily add your task management apps and whats great is that you can have it all visible inside Missive. Which is so nice when you are using CRM's and other apps. I really enjoy how Missive is doing business. They KNOW that their customers wishes and needs are what their app should help solve, and they are continuously working to help solve any problem the community shares.

Cons

\- I wish I could add more inboxes. - I wish there would be an integrated ticket system you could add to specific inboxes. Currently it's perfect for agencies, and if you have a generic customers service inbox, there isn't a way to setup tickets in a simple way. But honestly not a big deal because Missive is king of customization and you can work around it without any headaches.
