### "Great app, easy 5/5 stars"

May 19, 2026

5.0

So far, everything has been pretty awesome! It’s definitely worth the money, as it has saved us a huge amount of time through clear team communication that connects directly with emails. I can’t recommend it enough. On top of that, the team behind Missive really listens to feedback. We experienced this firsthand when they personally helped us solve an issue that technically wasn’t even their responsibility — but they still went out of their way to help. Easy 5/5 stars. Hopefully it only keeps getting better over time.

Pros

\* Fast and reliable, we love the speed! \* Saves our team time and money = buying it actually saved our money \* Great-looking and modern UI - minimalist approach that we enjoy \* Excellent mobile performance even for our IMAP accounts \* Helpful and responsive support team - thanks!

Cons

There are still a few smaller areas such as search in IMAP accounts that could be improved over time, but nothing that significantly affects our daily workflow. The product is already very solid and keeps getting better with updates.

### "Replaced the chaos without adding new problems "

June 9, 2026

5.0

It's become the default for team email, which says enough. Duplicate replies were a recurring headache before and that problem is essentially gone. There was an adjustment period getting everyone up to speed, but once it clicked it became part of the routine without much friction. Keeping tabs on active conversations and making sure nothing gets responded to twice has been smooth ever since the initial setup settled in.

Pros

The comment feature earns its place, adding context and notes directly to a thread keeps things tidy in a way that long reply chains never manage. Task assignment during busy stretches is also quick and straightforward without needing a separate tool for it.

Cons

Default notification settings come out of the box a bit aggressive, everyone ends up needing to dial them back on their own. The mobile app is solid for day-to-day use but falls short of the desktop version when you need the full feature set.

### "It's a very good service but can be improved with QoL changes. "

November 19, 2024

3.0

It's fairly easy to use, and email rules and labels seem to be very customizable but there are some shortcomings that can be improved.

Pros

The ease of use, labels, setup, canned responses and different team inboxes.

Cons

Better email thread organization for easier printing. Also, the inability of being unable to copy the text from the email print screen in Missive.

### "Collections stopped falling through the cracks"

June 9, 2026

5.0

Nearly a year into using it for collections and accounts receivable, and the results show. Fewer things slip through unattended, follow-ups actually happen on time, and we're getting paid faster because of it. Another thing worth mentioning - when a newer team member runs into a complicated collections situation, escalating it to someone more experienced is clean and simple. No awkward forwarding chains, no re-explaining the whole backstory.

Pros

Having the full payment history in front of you before reaching out makes a real difference - you can read the pattern and adjust how you approach each client instead of going in blind every time. The tagging system we set up around aging buckets (30 days, 60 days, payment plans, disputed) means the urgent accounts are always front and center rather than buried in a flat list.

Cons

The mobile app covers the basics well enough, but there's a gap between what it can do and what the desktop version offers. When I need to dig into an account away from my desk, that gap becomes noticeable.

### "One platform for both sides of the ledger"

June 10, 2026

5.0

Nearly eight months handling both payables and receivables out of the same platform, and the before-and-after is stark. Everything used to live in personal email accounts connected by endless forwarding chains - not really a system, just organized chaos. Having actual structure around how payments flow in and out has made the whole department run more smoothly.

Pros

Managing AP and AR simultaneously means constantly shifting gears between two very different workflows. Having separate inboxes for each function while staying in a single platform is what makes it workable - the old setup required jumping between accounts constantly, and this just doesn't.

Cons

The ERP integration needs work. Right now we're still manually moving payment information between Missive and our accounting system after conversations close out, which defeats some of the efficiency gains elsewhere.

### "Finally, full visibility across every IT request"

June 10, 2026

5.0

About ten months using this across the IT department and it's solved a problem we'd been working around for years - client and internal requests disappearing into individual inboxes with no visibility for the rest of the team. Onboarding junior technicians has also gotten easier since they can see exactly how senior engineers handle vendor escalations and complex support cases before handling them independently. Remote troubleshooting coordination in particular has improved significantly.

Pros

The shared inbox structure works really well for an IT team juggling helpdesk tickets, vendor communications, and internal escalations all at once. Being able to assign incoming requests to the right person based on their specialty - networking, security, systems - means nothing sits unowned for long. The internal comment feature is especially useful for documenting troubleshooting steps before a response goes out to the end user.

Cons

Wish there was tighter integration with our ticketing system. Right now there's some manual crossover between Missive and the helpdesk platform that ideally wouldn't exist.

### "Made tax season way more manageable"

June 8, 2026

5.0

Started using this last filing season and honestly it took some of the edge off during our craziest months. Used to have client stuff all over the place - people doing the same work twice or clients getting different answers from different preparers. Now everyone's looking at the same info and we can actually coordinate whether we're in the office or working from home. Definitely continuing with it

Pros

When tax deadlines hit, we're drowning in client questions, missing documents, and last-minute extension requests. Missive helps us stay on top of everything when it's total chaos. Being able to route specific clients to the right preparer - whether they need corporate help, individual returns, or someone who handles complicated situations - makes the whole operation run smoother.

Cons

Searching for particular tax forms or document types across all our client emails could be better - sometimes takes longer than I'd like to find what I need.

### "A Game-Changer for Team Inboxes"

June 8, 2026

5.0

Missive has significantly improved our day-to-day productivity. Having email, chat, and task assignments all under one roof keeps everyone on the same page and prevents items from falling through the cracks. The desktop app is flawless and highly customizable. It takes a little bit of time to perfectly configure your rules and labels at first, but once it's set up, it becomes an indispensable part of your operations.

Pros

The absolute best part about Missive is the ability to collaborate on emails with my team in real time. Being able to chat on a thread, draft responses together, and assign emails to specific team members right inside the inbox has completely eliminated internal forward chains and messy CCs. It acts as both a shared inbox and a collaboration tool seamlessly.

Cons

While the desktop application is incredibly powerful and smooth, the mobile app can sometimes feel a bit cramped. Navigating between internal team chats and the actual email threads isn't quite as seamless on a smaller phone screen as it is on a desktop monitor.

### "Billing process way more organized now "

June 9, 2026

5.0

We started using Missive about seven months ago and our billing work runs way smoother now. Before, client billing emails were all over the place in everyone's personal inboxes and we'd sometimes give clients conflicting info about the same invoice. Now everyone sees the same stuff and our answers are consistent.

Pros

I love being able to mark conversations as done once invoices are settled - keeps our workspace tidy. Automatic rules keep our workflow organized without doing it manually. Templates for common billing stuff (payment confirmations, late fee explanations, payment plans) have cut my response time in half.

Cons

Would be great to have better filtering options for sorting by invoice amounts or payment dates.

### "A solid shared inbox tool that actually makes team collaboration easier"

June 9, 2026

5.0

Overall, the experience has been positive. It has helped us manage shared inboxes much better and improved visibility across the team. We’ve reduced duplicate replies and improved response time, which was a big issue earlier.

Pros

What stood out to me is how well Missive brings email and internal collaboration together. The ability to chat with teammates inside an email thread (without the client seeing it) is a big plus. It really cuts down on back-and-forth across tools like Slack and Gmail.

Cons

There is definitely a bit of a learning curve at the start, especially for teams that are used to traditional email tools. Some of the automation and workflow features take time to fully understand.

### "An Essential Tool for Managing Our Firm’s Inbox"

November 12, 2025

5.0

I love it! A colleague referred me to Missive, and I’m so grateful for the recommendation. Since the inbox is the heart of our practice, Missive has quickly become the most essential tool in our firm.

Pros

Missive is extremely user-friendly. It has helped our team manage the inbox efficiently and easily delegate responsibilities. The support team is amazing and very responsive. After trying Missive for just a couple of weeks, we decided to onboard fully—our team quickly learned the key features. The support team also prioritizes our requests, and we can even build custom integrations.

Cons

I hope they add an integration with OpenPhone (now called Quo). Also, there’s currently no way to reverse the inbox queue—for example, to view the oldest emails first. This feature is already in their pipeline, and I believe it should be a quick fix, but I’m still waiting.

### "Great product and great customer service!"

August 11, 2025

5.0

Great product and great customer service. Response times are amazing.........probably because they're using Missive :)

Pros

I was most impressed with how much thought went in to building out the features to really cover almost any scenario or use case you and your team may have. Would highly recommend this product to every team.

Cons

Overall the platform is very user friendly, but you do have to read their online tutorials to fully understand some of the features it has.

### "The only email client I've found with rules"

January 31, 2026

4.0

Overall, positive. There's a bit of a learning curve setting everything up and I wish it were easier to test run email rules/settings, but I think I have a handle on everything. I also really wish Notion was integrated, but I have a workaround for now.

Pros

I love the rules. I am honestly paying a lot of money almost exclusively because I love the ability to "turn my email off" during set hours.

Cons

The cost. It's very expensive and I'm not using 99% of the features. They require you to register at the Pro level just for access to rules. The creators very kindly explained why -- and I do get it, it's just expensive, that's all.

### "Does shared mailbox really well"

March 11, 2026

5.0

Great if you're looking for a tool that does one thing really well (shared mailbox), but if you're looking for all-in-one platforms with fancy AI automations, there are other options.

Pros

There are a lot of players in this space, but Missive does one thing (shared mailbox) really well; the collaborative drafts with real-time editing (like a shared google doc) are nice, the comments/discussions on emails are easy to use, the rules are comprehensive, labels with sharing (auto-share to specific users when a label is applied) are neat, and they have apps for each platform (Mac, iOS, Android, etc.) which is much nicer than just a web app.

Cons

The pricing has increased over time. I wish they had free (or lower cost) observer users - there are many cases where we'd like a larger group of users to have access to certain labels (to occasionally lookup something) but can't justify the cost of a license for all those occasionally users. The tasks feature seems clunky (I never understood it so I don't use it).

### "Team inbox that actually works for us"

April 29, 2026

4.0

We use this as our main tool for team emails now. It fixed many small issues and stopped us from sending duplicate replies. There was a short learning period, but now it’s part of our daily work. It works well for tracking ongoing conversations and making sure no one replies twice. Setup took some effort, but after that it has been running smoothly without causing new problems.

Pros

The comment feature is very useful—it lets us add notes and context directly without messy email chains. It also helps us quickly assign tasks during busy times.

Cons

Right out of the box, the notifications are a bit too frequent, so everyone needs to adjust their settings. The mobile app works well, but it doesn’t have all the features available on the desktop version.

### "Billing workflow is tight and organized now"

March 20, 2026

5.0

About seven months since we brought Missive in and our billing process runs noticeably better. The old setup had everyone working from separate inboxes which meant clients occasionally got conflicting answers about the same invoice from different people. That's not a problem anymore - the whole team sees the same information and we speak with one voice. Wish we'd made the change sooner honestly.

Pros

Being able to close out conversations once an invoice is settled keeps everything tidy and stops resolved stuff from cluttering up the workspace. The automation handles all the sorting that we used to do manually. And the templates we put together for our most repeated situations - confirming payments, explaining late fees, laying out payment plan terms - have genuinely cut the time I spend on routine emails way down.

Cons

Filtering options could be more detailed - being able to sort by invoice amount or payment due date would make tracking things down a lot quicker.

### "Tax season stress reliever for our team"

March 18, 2026

5.0

Rolled this out last filing season and it legitimately took some pressure off during our most intense period. Before, client stuff was all over the place and we'd occasionally do the same work twice or give clients conflicting guidance. That doesn't happen anymore - everyone's looking at the same conversations and we coordinate smoothly whether we're in the office or remote. Planning to stick with it going forward.

Pros

When tax deadlines hit, we're buried in client questions, document chasing, and extension paperwork. Missive keeps our tax prep team in sync when everything's crazy. Being able to route clients to the right preparer based on what they need - corporate versus personal, straightforward versus complicated - makes our whole operation flow better.

Cons

Finding specific tax forms across different client threads could be more powerful - search works but takes longer than I'd like

### "Solid shared inbox for daily team use"

February 10, 2026

5.0

Missive has become our main place for handling client and internal email, and it fits pretty naturally into our workflow now. We use it all day to manage shared addresses and keep conversations moving without a lot of back-and-forth. Once everyone understood how comments and assignments work, things got smoother. Setup didn’t take long, but we did spend some time agreeing on team habits. Overall, it’s been steady and does what we need without getting in the way.

Pros

The shared inboxes are the biggest win for us, especially when someone is out and another person needs to jump in. Internal comments make it easy to ask questions or leave context without forwarding emails around. It’s clear who’s handling what, so we don’t step on each other or miss replies. Day to day, it’s cut down on follow-ups and “did anyone answer this?” messages.

Cons

There’s a bit of a learning curve at first, especially for teammates coming straight from Gmail. Notifications can feel noisy until you dial them in. The mobile app works, but it’s not where I want to do anything complex.

### "Helps keep support emails organized"

February 11, 2026

5.0

It’s helped the team stay aligned during busy periods. While it took some adjustment, it’s now part of our normal routine. Overall, it’s been a positive change. missive has made day-to-day support work less stressful. We can see conversation history clearly and avoid duplicate replies.

Pros

We don’t have to forward emails internally anymore. It’s easier to jump in and help when volume spikes. Internal comments are useful for giving context before someone responds. missive makes it easier to manage shared support inboxes without stepping on each other’s replies.

Cons

Some features are not obvious right away. It takes a bit of time to get comfortable with the layout.

### "Marketing team coordination solved"

March 24, 2026

5.0

Missive fundamentally transformed our support operations. Response speed improved, coordination tightened, and customer feedback reflects the enhancement. The transition period presented challenges, but reverting to standard email seems inconceivable now. Particularly valuable for monitoring active conversations and preventing duplicate responses.

Pros

Shared inbox functionality is essential for our marketing operations. Social media responses, partnership correspondence, and customer inquiries centralize in one location.Collaborative composition works seamlessly - teammates contribute to refining responses pre-send.

Cons

Initial feature comprehension required effort. Extensive functionality is beneficial once mastered, but learning curve exceeded expectations during the first week.

### "I moved from Spark to Missive. "

March 14, 2026

5.0

I'm coming from Spark Mail and I wanted to find something that allows me to organize better my emails and collaborate better. The collaboration system on Missive I think is the best one I ever tried. So that's why we moved from Spark to Missive because we found it a lot better on that side. And we just also upgraded the plan after I think nearly two years of use for the full potential.

Pros

The collaboration system is really, really good and is very easy to use. Also for Mac is great because looks native and there is a lot of shortcuts that I really love using as it makes me more productive and move faster organizing my mails. they also have a really great rule system that automate everything.

Cons

It's just a little expensive as I'm based in Italy, but I think that it's a good investment. So it's really full packed of features at the beginning could be a little overwhelming and you would probably not use the full potential of it.

Frankly, our experience has been fantastic. Our whole team is on it and the Missive team / support are awesome.

Pros

Cons

Missive introduces a couple of new communication/inbox paradigms so this can take a bit to get used to initially.

November 12, 2025

5.0

Overall missive is super helpful on managing emails, sharing thoughts, defining workflow, looking for past conversations, going through steps.

Pros

It is hard to learn, but after learning part passes missive becomes incredibly helpful on managing tasks, writing emails, following up with potential clients. There are few bugs and issues but as soon as reaching costumer support they are fixing directly.

Cons

Least I like about missive is their automation for other applications. I think missive needs more apps that it can connect without using API.

### "Missive as a workflow efficiency tool"

March 4, 2026

5.0

I dont think it will be easy to make a transition from easy to another app. i think that says it all.

Pros

I really like how efficient it is, user friendly , easy to learn and multitasking efficient as well.

Cons

I really dont like the pricing plans, because for a small 6-person company we work at it forces us from the 5 people starter plan which is durable to go to the 6-people plan which skyrockets the price, so we have a cooworker not signed in.
