Honestly don't know how we managed before Missive. Our old system was just a nightmare of forwarded emails and CC chains. Now everything's centralized and everyone knows what's happening. The transparency alone has probably saved us hours each week. Setup was straightforward and support was helpful when we had questions. I am very happy with this choice.

Pros

The ability to have multiple inboxes (support, billing, general inquiries) all in one place is exactly what we needed. The @mentions in internal comments make it super easy to loop in the right person without forwarding emails back and forth.

Cons

I'd love it if there were more pre-built templates for common responses - you can create your own, but having some starter ones would've helped initially.

It's fairly easy to use, and email rules and labels seem to be very customizable but there are some shortcomings that can be improved.

Pros

The ease of use, labels, setup, canned responses and different team inboxes.

Cons

Better email thread organization for easier printing. Also, the inability of being unable to copy the text from the email print screen in Missive.

Pros

Consolidates multiple Gmail accounts into one clean interface, works entirely in the browser, and the mobile app is genuinely good. Customer support is responsive and helpful.

Cons

Pros

SO easy to communicate internally about customer requests. Constant updates. Easy to learn. Such a great product!

Cons

Would love it if group text messages was easier to use with the dialpad integration. We use group texts a lot with customers and would be a great add.

I have been using Missive for the past five years, and my experience has been very positive. It allows me to manage client communications and internal team communications in one centralized platform. I do not see a need to switch to any other software, as it provides everything I require.

Pros

Ability to double-check with experienced team members before sending has been extremely valuable—particularly when handling complex billing disputes or unusual payment scenarios. Additionally, the ready-made response templates we have developed are highly effective, especially when managing repetitive payment confirmation requests throughout the day.

Cons

Some of our vendor invoices come through as PDFs that don't display correctly in the preview pane, which means I end up downloading them anyway. It's a minor inconvenience but happens often enough to be noticeable.

Pros

I really appreciate being able to see the complete payment discussion history with each client - helps me understand their payment patterns and approach conversations appropriately. The tagging system we set up (30 days overdue, 60 days, payment plan, dispute) makes it easy to prioritize which accounts need immediate attention.

Cons

The mobile version is good but missing some desktop features that would be useful when checking account status away from my computer.

About seven months since we brought Missive in and our billing process runs noticeably better. The old setup had everyone working from separate inboxes which meant clients occasionally got conflicting answers about the same invoice from different people. That's not a problem anymore - the whole team sees the same information and we speak with one voice. Wish we'd made the change sooner honestly.

Pros

Being able to close out conversations once an invoice is settled keeps everything tidy and stops resolved stuff from cluttering up the workspace. The automation handles all the sorting that we used to do manually. And the templates we put together for our most repeated situations - confirming payments, explaining late fees, laying out payment plan terms - have genuinely cut the time I spend on routine emails way down.

Cons

Filtering options could be more detailed - being able to sort by invoice amount or payment due date would make tracking things down a lot quicker.

Love being able to share an inbox with teammates, assign emails to other team members so I can keep my inbox lean and what I myself am going to focus on. LOVE the Snooze feature. Way better than making a post-it to-do list LOL.

Cons

There was a version of Missive that was rolled out that changed the UI relatively significantly. Once the Community expressed dissatisfaction, Missive, to their credit, immediately rolled it back to the prior UI and sent out a message to all users explaining the back and forth. Love that.

We needed to switch email platforms in 24 hours because Front removed the ability to sync with Gmail. Missive has been a great (and lower cost) alternative.

Great if you're looking for a tool that does one thing really well (shared mailbox), but if you're looking for all-in-one platforms with fancy AI automations, there are other options.

Pros

There are a lot of players in this space, but Missive does one thing (shared mailbox) really well; the collaborative drafts with real-time editing (like a shared google doc) are nice, the comments/discussions on emails are easy to use, the rules are comprehensive, labels with sharing (auto-share to specific users when a label is applied) are neat, and they have apps for each platform (Mac, iOS, Android, etc.) which is much nicer than just a web app.

Cons

The pricing has increased over time. I wish they had free (or lower cost) observer users - there are many cases where we'd like a larger group of users to have access to certain labels (to occasionally lookup something) but can't justify the cost of a license for all those occasionally users. The tasks feature seems clunky (I never understood it so I don't use it).

Almost a year in now and this thing is woven into how our sales team operates daily. Knowing exactly who owns which deal matters a lot when teammates are on the road or taking time off. Bringing new salespeople up to speed has gotten considerably easier - they can actually watch how our experienced reps write to clients and pick up good habits naturally. Any sales team that needs to work together on customer emails should seriously look at this.

Pros

Honestly the standout for our team is putting together client emails as a group effort. Everyone chips in on responses, leaves notes in the comments, and we make sure the message is spot on before anything goes out. The automated sorting takes care of keeping our pipeline tidy so we're not wasting time filing things manually.

Cons

Search does the job but noticeably drags when you need to hunt through older conversations going back several months.

How easy it is to collaborate with a team on the same projects/ communication. Also the time saving templates & scheduled send options.

Cons

I wish I could easily view what emails/texts I have snoozed. I also wish there was a way to merge conversations when you're apart of multiple teams, and duplicate email threads are shared showing different content. Makes communication confusing & easy to miss details.

Pros

I've been using Missive for two years now, and I can't imagine going back to a traditional email service. This tool is incredibly useful for ensuring collaboration within a single team: shared mailbox and individual mailboxes, assignment of emails based on projects managed by employees, integrated chat. It makes our work more fluid and easier to follow. We've already had to contact support, and the team is super fast and helpful.

Cons

Settings management: we are always concerned about the impact of deleting a user on the organization of our shared mailbox.

Overall missive is super helpful on managing emails, sharing thoughts, defining workflow, looking for past conversations, going through steps.

Pros

It is hard to learn, but after learning part passes missive becomes incredibly helpful on managing tasks, writing emails, following up with potential clients. There are few bugs and issues but as soon as reaching costumer support they are fixing directly.

Cons

Least I like about missive is their automation for other applications. I think missive needs more apps that it can connect without using API.

I dont think it will be easy to make a transition from easy to another app. i think that says it all.

Pros

I really like how efficient it is, user friendly , easy to learn and multitasking efficient as well.

Cons

I really dont like the pricing plans, because for a small 6-person company we work at it forces us from the 5 people starter plan which is durable to go to the 6-people plan which skyrockets the price, so we have a cooworker not signed in.
