" July 8, 2024 3.0 Website was relatively easy to create, I had fun while doing it. There was a good special on a one year upgrade. Upon paying for the upgrade & my domain, I was told I'd receive an email with a verification link. This was on Thursday, 4 July 2024. While waiting for this email, I received the same email three times from Thursday to Saturday saying that there is 'Action Required' and I need to verify my domain by using the email they sent me with a verification link. I never received the email with a verification link. I've chatted with customer support a few times regarding this issue (since they're supposed to send the link within 24-72 hours) and they basically told me to be patient and they'll get someone to send it. It's now been 4 days in total and I'm still waiting on this email so I can verify my domain and have my website up and running properly. I was told it will be sent either Sunday or Monday, however I still get emails saying I need to verify my domain (without a verification link). Maybe once all is sorted, I can give a more positive review. I understand customer support is doing what they can, however I am upset that it's been over 72 hours and I still haven't received the email to verify and properly experience what I paid for. Pros Creating my website was easy, fun, and overall a good experience. There was a special to upgrade so as soon as I finished my design, I decided to go for the upgrade. Owner Consumer Services Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "My honest opinion " December 26, 2023 4.0 I've been using the free trial for quite a while because it is still very helpful and effective and it's the best option & feature site123 has over all other websites builder platforms in conjunction with a great customer support team that's easy to contact and communicate through the texting portal. The free unlimited trial really gives consumers a chance to become familiar with a website building platform without any sacrifices and not being pressured to subscribe to any full plan. My overall experience has been very good with site123. Pros What I like most is that the customer service team is very responsive and helpful. Using the website tools is not very hard but at some times if you get stuck but the customer service team can always point you in the right direction. They have a feature where you can get someone to build your website for you as well. The unlimited free trial is the sweet spot for me as because it's is very usable & effective for building entry level platforms depending on how the website is being used. This puts the mind at ease before making a solid decision on upgrading to a plan for optimum usage and features. And there's always an open ear & mind for improvements because I believe they actually listen to their customers concerns and what to address them. By doing this if they deliver, I strongly believe site123 will be the number 1 platform builder. But overall to me I think it has a very simple user base to build with. I've tried other free trial website builder platforms and they wasn't as easy to use as site123 with great customer support. Site123 has a user app to download on home screens as well for convenience. Cons What I noticed is that the website builder platform doesn't seem to have all the bells and whistles as far as the little things that goes unnoticed being discovered while in the process of building a website. But the good thing is that site123 acknowledges this. I understand that there's always room for improvements, but for the option of prices being offered should be adjusted to accommodate for the fact that their software seems to be under continuous development for improvements. Updates new features & upgrades are being done weekly to improve for better use of the platform. But this is where the free trial comes out on top because it wouldn't be fair for consumers to have already paid the full price for whatever plans they choose and don't have the certain features that they would need for their custom applications. The good thing is that whatever the issue may be it can be reported to their development team to possibly correct the issue. But this is a timely process as well. And to have already pay for a plan depending on length of time taking advantage of their 1 time discount, you can be losing out on those hiccups that haven't been developed yet. One thing that's a inconvenience is with the customer consumer interface with the builder platform while it's only fair to limit the amount of messages emails & bookings etc for the free trial, if you're trying out the features for yourself to see how work & function you can use up the amount of times allowed by the free trial for the month so you will have to wait another month to continue trying out the interface and not by real customers. When I have wanted to do something that is beyond my understanding the live 24/7 help has been faultless and so far has resolved all of my issues incredibly quickly. This is 24/7 help from real, knowledgeable people, not some useless bot. While it was sufficient for the time, I was faced with having to migrate it to HTML 5 and basically do a complete reconstruction or just start from scratch. I decided to look around and see what was available that really focused on mobile friendly architecture, so-called "adaptive design." I already knew from my analytics that mobile devices were the fastest growing segment of my viewers, with tablets close behind. So that was a high priority. I ran across Site123 and started playing with it. In a just over three hours, I had completely built a mobile friendly site by taking the content from my old size and dropping it in. Site123 has got to have one of the most gentle learning curves imaginable. Controls are very intuitive, as you format text, images, presentation, etc. Changes are saved automatically so no "Oh crap!" moments as you realize you've forgotten to save a long session and wind up losing it and starting over. I had some special needs as far as list requirements, too, and found that some of their built-in tools could be retooled for other uses. Tables worked great and the desktop/tablet/mobile simulator gives a reasonably accurate accounting of how your site will work on those devices. I was working on a desktop and going to my Android phone to check the results as I published them. It was an extremely efficient and no-pain experience to take a site I was dreading to update and have fun doing it in one morning. Very impressed with Site123 for my needs. Pros Extremely intuitive. I didn't even bother to read anything more than the tool tips and template descriptions and had zero issues with the build. As I was building it in the Free service offer, I didn't have to worry about credit cards being charged only to discover I hated the app. Even in the Free version, the Site123 floating credit at the bottom of the window is non-intrusive and quite bearable. They seem to have leaned toward a customer-centric approach that doesn't bludgeon you into an upsell. I liked that. For a small business or service, personal site, NFP or similar low-moderate information needs, this seems to be a very viable package to consider. You can point your domain name to your Site123 provided URL and be in business in no time. At $8 a month (yearly plan) for hosting, costs are in line with most similar services. I have found that over the past years, my customers are gravitating toward very convenient, user friendly ways to reach me and really don't bother with a lot of the detail that I felt needed to be in a desktop-level site. Being able to offer a very modern, attractive and fully mobile compliant site seems to be more effective in getting eyes on me and making sales. Site123 does a very nice job in that department. I am in the process of switching my plan over to Site123 and away from my old provider. Cons I wouldn't want to try to do a very robust catalog or sales site from what I could tell, but I wasn't looking in that direction and maybe missed some features that make that choice more accessible.
