Pros: Ease of use and the options with the smart marketing. I can control what things are sent out and turn them on and off at will.

Cons: Sometimes the text reminders don't work. When someone posts a review, they are unable to change it later if they want to, without assistance from customer service.

Overall: My clients love using Frederick to schedule their appointments with me. It's easy for them to use, and they also like the text reminder feature, especially. They also like to receive reminders to book their appointments again, as not all of my clients can book an appointment at checkout because they're busy and have varying schedules. I also enjoy the feature because there are times when I don't have time to schedule their next appointment because another client is waiting.

Recommendations to other buyers: Things I'd like to see in the future: 1) An option to secure a deposit from a new client for appointments booked that are longer than an hour. 2) An option for a client to schedule multiple services within one appointment block.

Pros: You can use the parts of the program that work for you and turn off items that you don't want to use.

The lost customer portion of the program is really working for us.

The reporting section has lots of information.

Cons: Frederick won't allow you to send out an email to everyone at once, like if you had a big announcement that you wanted all your customers to receive at the same time. I do hear that they are working on incorporating this feature into the program.

Overall: We are in the Automotive business and we have been using Frederick for over a year. Once you get it all set up, it just does it's thing. Someone else said, "set it and forget it" and it is really true. Also, if we want to send out something like a mid-week special at the last minute, it takes me about 5 minutes to get it done. Very easy to use.

More importantly, in the last 6 months, we have had 5 customers return to see us from a Frederick "lost customer" email and the average ticket is $964.40! Not only is the customer spending money, but we also have another opportunity to WOW that customer and keep them coming back.

Cons: You can't create your own campaign with pictures I wish they had a tab that looked like picmonkey.com and you can create a promotional postcard and then click promote and it would text/email to everyone.

Overall: The idea of Fredrick is very interesting. If we were to pay a person to do the work this software does they would charge no less than the 13/hr at least, Fredrick only charges 149/month and It's constantly on and targeting different customers for the services they like. It keeps reminding them to come to our business. I know other business owners who have a marketer or try to do this work themselves but that would cost more time and money. My favorite feature is the "feedback reviews", it helps us know how we are doing internally and we are doing good, so it's nice to hear how happy our customers feel. Lastly, Fredrick has its own extensions so they track who calls and clicks because of Fredrick emails and texts and it's a large amount of the people we see each day. Even if they're not interested in the offer they still had a reminder of our business and made them call or want to come by.

Pros: The fact that the system is "smart" is amazing! It's very cool how Frederick learns what people respond to, trys a lesser discount before offering your set max discount and considers clients service history to choose the best offer for them. I also like the fact that not all campagins offer a discount! We have "recovered" many clients just by reminding them that we are here & that they haven't been in for a while.

Cons: There are a few limitations to how much you can customize each campaign. For example we would like to adjust the expiration date for the referral campaign, but that is not available yet. Other than that, we have not found anything we don't like about the system.

Overall: I have been looking into Frederick for over a year now & have just recently activated it. We have been thrilled with it's performance so far! Our rep, Robert was great with helping us set up everything up. We have had great response from our clients so far & have recovered many clients who had not been in for a long time. Frederick is easy to use, pleasing to the eye & the reports are great! We love the net promoter part & are getting great reviews from our clients which we are putting up on our website & using in our marketing. The fact that the discount automatically applies & that there is a note on the appointment so you can see it is a Frederick booking really helps our desk staff. If you are looking for a boost to your business or realize that we all have to get in front of people more & more now days, this is the product for you! I highly Frederick, it's great!

Pros: We really like the client rating and feedback. We are able to identify unhappy clients - often we can turn the situation around for the client. We are also use the feedback to spot and respond to trends.

Cons: We really like the software but were we to identify places for resource investment - it would be great to be able to publish the reviews to FaceBook or even to our own website.

Overall: We have been on Fred for a couple years and things ran smoothly from the initial go-live with the product. We have always been able to get questions answered and staff can easily move through the Fred software.

Recommendations to other buyers: You can almost "set it and forget it" because it works well but it is good to monitor the discount levels, set Boost offers, etc.

Pros: Set it and forget it, then watch it make you money. It's also easy to customize features and turn things on and off. Reviews section is FANTASTIC.

Cons: I've had people ask to review us that can't get an email again and I can't push one to them. I would also like the ability to set which tier of pricing it starts offering at so our clients aren't duped into thinking they are going to get a master stylist at salon stylist pricing.

Overall: We have been using Frederick for 6 months now and have seen thousands of dollars in revenue and hundreds of 'rescued' clients that haven't been here in 6 months or more. One of my favorite features has been collecting client reviews and publishing them to our website, Facebook & Yelp with very little effort on our part! Overall I'd highly recommend Frederick to any salon or spa.

Recommendations to other buyers: The customer service experience has been fabulous and I've had a person on the phone within seconds that knows me and my business. Results poured in almost immediately and the staff's experience has been great.

Pros: Clients LOOVE it. Its easy, and it frees me up to not have to take booking requests 24/7. I like the smart marketing features so I can fill slow slots or offer discounts. Also, reminders for appointments and rescuing lost clients is super awesome too.

Cons: Cannot add a credit card to a booking so I can enforce no shows or cancellations by charging the client for the infraction. Sometimes Google Calendar sync doesn't work fast enough for it but its only every now and then.

Overall: I found hirefrederick on the google chrome web store when it was in beta and tried it. Very easy and simple to edit.

Recommendations to other buyers: I recommend having an 8-12 hr prebook window minimum. No one wants to look up and see a client booked when you wanted to head home!

Overall: I have used many different automated marketing platforms over the last 15 years that I have owned my spa and by far Frederick is superior in all the ways you would need to brand and market your business. I was skeptical at first to invest in Frederick, but I am 100% behind the brilliance of this automated system. Each step of Frederick was well thought out : a tab created within your booking software to keep tabs on how each campaign is performing , a daily summary of what portion of marketing is working and the best part is once you have decided which campaigns generate the most revenue Frederick does all the work! You can also create a customized campaign to reach target clients. The client interface is also easy to use, is very appealing and you can customize the colors to create consistency within your brand. The most important part of Frederick is the exceptional service you receive from the Senior Account Manager. I have worked with them and They walked me through step by step what he believed were the most significant campaigns based on his tracking of my performance. He presented me with analytical data that he compiled before our first conversation to streamline what was going to be the most important tools to capture and retain clients. His expertise and professionalism and this superior product is what keeps me with Booker and Frederick. One of the most important, if not THE tool to keep your company relevant with clients you have worked hard to get. It will be worth every penny!

Pros: Dashboard is easy to navigate, you get daily and weekly summary feedback. It populates reviews onto Yelp and Google immediately!

Cons: It only works with RO Writer...I NEED it to work with Tracs because I will be switching my RO systems and don't want to lose Frederick.

Overall: Frederick is very interactive in that it learns the customer response habits. The amount of review traffic has tripled compared to an older system we used, it is smart phone friendly as well. It's the first program in which my customer have actually asked who the company is and if it could work with their business!

Pros: The fact that it generates so much repeat business and also helps us gain valuable reviews for our website and social media.

Cons: I think the boost feature needs to send some kind of notice when it sees that we need a boost. Not sure if it is that smart yet :)

Overall: I started using HireFrederick about a year ago and it has consistently generated repeat business for us each month...by at least 50 appointments. It has also allowed us to receive value feedback from our clients as well as reviews for our website, facebook, yelp and google. It has always paid for it's self and is well worth the investment each month.

Recommendations to other buyers: Maybe more prominent that they have to use frederick to receive the offers...lots of phone calls asking for the discount with the times that are not offered on frederick.

Pros: Frederick is so easy to use. I love how the system can win back lost customers with a cleverly crafted email.

Cons: I have had zero complaints.

Overall: Frederick is hands down the best marketing system we have ever used. It does so much for our businesses on a daily basis from filling empty appointments, rescuing lost customers, capturing customer reviews, etc

Recommendations to other buyers: I'm not certain but I suspect a business wants to make sure to have a certain size client list to make the frederick purchase worth the monthly fee. You might need 500 clients...? Not entirely sure what that number is for a ROI.

Pros: I like that I own program do not have to pay a monthly charge . also if I do encounter a problem I pick up the phone and call and problem is fixed within minutes

Cons: It has fields where you can enter techs pay but nothing for office person as they are on salary, would like to get better idea of cost to profit margin at the end of week

Overall: the ease of how program works and the way it tracks information far as suppliers,inventory,customers and techs

Pros: This program allows us to customize service boost emails to meet our needs when its slow and captures customer feedback post repair.

Cons: The program relies very heavy on the text/cell phone for customer feedback. Other programs in the past have used email as an avenue and seemed to get more traction that way.

Overall: With customized service boost and campaigns we have been able to generate more profit dollars in the slower months.

Your value for money is written out by Frederick! And I love that they make it simple and easy.

Pros: Definitely easy to use and seamless integration with Booker. It confirmed appointments for us, asked clients to review and post to YELP, reminded clients to book their next appointment. It definitely helped us out during the lean days by advertising open slots.

Cons: Separate pricing from Booker so this was in addition to the online booking pricing since Booker did not have the features I mentioned above, it was kind of necessary to have them together which brought up our monthly subscription much higher /location .

Pros: I love that it recovers our lost clients, sends out reminders, fills our last minute appointments. Loves that it follows up with our clients.

Cons: I wish I could set up different discounts for different services. Right now it is all or nothing.

Overall: Frederick saves us time by sending out emails and texts. It has recovered clients for us and helped us gather feedback that we need. We set up the perimeters of the texts, emails and discounts and Frederick does the rest. Whenever I had a question, the customer service has always been right there with an answer.

Pros: It delivers RESULTS!!

Cons: The only two minor Cons I can think of is that on certain campaigns, you are limited in the set-up. I've wanted to change some of the Discount levels from Percentages to Dollars Off and there isn't an option for that. I would also like to be able to to Segment our customer list so that we can send out more targeted messages based on which "segment/bucket/list" the customer falls into.

Overall: I love Hire Frederick! The Boost campaigns and the Last Minute Deals have pulled our sales out of a slump many times over the past year! We do a LOT of marketing and we use several services to help us. Hire Frederick gives us the most RESULTS and the HIGHEST ROI by far of any of the services we use!!

Pros: The software syncs with my online booking software and pulls data automatically to build a marketing database. It also knows how many times people book appointments and gathers great data. It also comes equipped with email campaigning so I got rid of Constant Contact. The email campaigning is much easier to use than constant contact.

Cons: What I like least about the software is that the pricing is based on the number of contacts you have. Even if there are accidentally duplicates of people in the database, it does not let you delete duplicates. Or if someone moves away and you want to take them off the list, it doesn't remove them even if you hit remove on both the frederick software and your online scheduling software.

Pros: With a few quick settings Frederick is ready to go! Frederick works beyond regular email marketing to reach your clients in many different ways. It does all the work for you so you can get back to business.

Pros: The ability to connect with clients who have not been in for service in over 30days. We were impressed with the walkthrough by our rep for every aspect of the system which we would use. It is as easy as clicking one or two buttons. Sample emails are sent out to you before going out to your customers.

Pros: I love the integration with my booker account. The ease of boosting and creating campaigns is amazing.

Cons: The price is a bit high for the number of clients we have, but when I consider the return on investment, I resign to the fact that it's worth it. I do wish there was an easier way to "trim" my client list.

Overall: Since there was no long contract, I figured trying Frederick out for a month would be helpful. This software is amazing. I love the integration with my booker clients and the ability to promote all or some of the spa services. The retention rate at the spa has increased since using Frederick.

Recommendations to other buyers: Try it, you will be surprised at the new bookings.

Pros: feedback feature, easy to use.

Cons: Would like to be able to print comments directly from the site. Pricing is based on targets contacted, not on actual effectiveness or return of the program.

Overall: This program helps me collect feedback from customers so challenges can be identified. I also like the marketing feature that targets customers based on the dates of their services f.or reminder emails and discounts

Comments: Frederick has been easy to work with since day one. It's a great resource that is constantly running in the background and helps increase bookings during periods of need and that also communicates with customers who may not have come in a a while. I love that it works on its own, but also that I can do custom promo's when I need to as well. One wish I have is that 2 separate offers can be run in the same week for different days/services.

Pros: Very easy to use and set up. Love how it integrates with our existing software and the dashboard gives great insight to the promotions run

Cons: More expensive than I had expected for our small company but hopefully over time it will pay for itself.

Overall: We started using this software yesterday. It is so easy to get set up and great the way it subtly markets to your client database.

Pros: It does my job for me by reaching out to clients and inviting them back to my business.

Cons: Sometimes it reaches out to people offering a discount to book when they've just been to the salon.

Pros: The intelligence behind the marketing

Cons: As strange as it sounds the url- hirefrederick.com- I feel weird asking someone to visit hirefrederick.com for CRM- sounds more like job inquiry for a website.

Overall: Already the program has brought back over 20 inactive clients and the new campaigns feature is wonderful! Only gave a 4 in features because I believe this company has so much promise that I don't want them to stop developing!

Pros: it is easy to use, however new updates seem to dilute that. the text reminders to clients are about the best thing Frederick has to offer.

Cons: it is very discount driven (cheapens the brand) and they seemed to have taken the key features from Booker to trap you into using Frederick . Simple things like booking reminders were taken off Booker and moved to the "have to pay extra" Frederick website. seems very unfair. Importing clients for the email campaigns is the worst. you can upload your own mailing list, only to have to hand select out of 20,000 clients. just use mailchimp!! its free and works WAY better than Frederick. Customer Service has yet to respond to any of my questions, so about the same as booker, it takes about 3 months to get a non-helpful response from either of these companies.

Comments: I wish we would known about the Frederick earlier as we found it to be one of the best tools we've ever used. We had previously tried a number of other marketing methods but were never able to quantify the results and in most cases, felt like they were not working but the nature of what Frederick does and the way in which is doing it is wonderful. We loved that it helped to bring back in some old customers and the discounts certainly helped fill some days that may have otherwise been slow. The software is easy to use and the reporting features and metrics are excellent.

Overall: This is presently the best marketing value for the buck at our Waxing the City studios. We have had consistently great acquisition response and return response to our specials, low day fills, and last minute fills.

Recommendations to other buyers: Continue your ease of use. Continue the drip aspect that does not overwhelm the clients with 'junk' email or texts from our company. Thumbs up for that.

Pros: Looking at starting a business and was able to get this free access to Frederick. At another company we used a different platform, but it appears this one does the exact same things and is set-up in a lot easier to use way.

Cons: I think that like with all new tools there will be some kinks that will appear and the ease of use will continue if used on a daily basis. Trying to find where everything is gets a little confusing.

Pros: What I like most about Frederick is that I can identify a slow day or department and can send out targeted offers to fill those appointments. I also love that we can boost our reviews!

Cons: The thing that I like least about Frederick is that I wish I could customize the look a bit more. I understand that I am limited with SMS but visually I would like to spruce up what I sent to guests.

Comments: I really do like this as a marketing tool for our spa, but I do sometimes feel it doesn't fill our books as it promises. as it should PLUS i feel some of the reports are not always accurate. It will count a clients as revenue but when I look back to see if the client even opened the email they haven't so I wonder how fredrick can count that as this program was the reason they booked. I feel our open rate isn't very high. We have tried some different discounts and still feel it isn't working. The confirmation for appointment emails get opened the most, and I would like to see more of the boost promotions get open to help fill out books. I am trying to decide if we will continue to use this program. I see it has a lot of potential to help us, but haven't been "wow'd" by it, especially for how expensive it is. It also takes a while before I hear back from customer service when I do have a question and with my busy schedule I'd like to be able to get an answer in more of a timely manner.

Pros: Frederick is very easy to set up and customize in Booker. Frederick markets available appointments to existing clients.

Cons: There's always a cost associated with integrated marketing like Frederick. This can cut into your profit margin.

Overall: Customizing the auto-marketing to existing client database helps to fill available appointments that may otherwise go unfilled especially within a 24-36 hour time-frame.

It is great for scheduling customers and it is extremely intuitive.
