They also are very responsive and are always working to improve the platform. We have 5 TV all in a line in my office with different Geckoboard dashboards on them. Pros I like how easily it allows for data to be permanently displayed on a TV. The visuals are clean and stay updated with the data feeding into it. Cons I wish there more visualization options like pie charts or thermometer goal graphs. I also wish you could fit more data on one dashboard without it getting cut off. September 9, 2025 5.0 Geckoboard is not cheap but you get what you pay for. Great product and great support are not free but they are valuable in motivtaing and managing our business performance. Pros Geckoboard is a very powerful business management tool. We have a few board that keep the team on point and quite a few more that I as a business owner make frequent use of on my mobile phone. So easy to have the information you need whenever you need it. The Geckoboard system has been really intuitive to use and the support has been first class whenever we get stuck. Cons I guess we are an advanced user and sometimes we struggle to get the exact metrics we want from the prebuilt widgets but this is more that offset by the ease of use and how quickly you can create dashboards with minimal technical knowledge. Would love to be able to do stacked bar charts. I'm sure that will come soon as they are continually improving the product. Review Source VR Verified Reviewer CEO Retail Used the software for: 2+ years ### "It was good few years ago but now its fading away with higher monthly charges" May 31, 2022 2.0 I used them for few years and it was serving the purpose for me, showing analytics on big screen TV in our ecommerce command center. Out of nowhere, my billing department got an email on May 12th saying , we will change your monthly fee from $59 to minimum of $149 and I was given the option to cancel the subscription completely . I was a legacy customer and I was paying $59 per month for 35 dashboards. now 10 dashboard is going to be $149 and 30+ dashboard will be somewhere between $300 to $500 probably. I am not against price increases and I think healthy businesses should do this overtime to makeup for the inflation and increased cost. But I certainly dont appreciate it when you raise prices suddenly with a short notice, specially for customers who have been on your platform for many years. I signed up back in 2018 when your dashboards only had 2 colors . I feel like I need to get out of this platform now, as I dont think their platform is worth few hundreds a month. I wish they had increased their prices over time so we didnt have to migrate our command center elsewhere within few weeks. Pros I can show my operational data to my team members and users in almost real time. It was great to show the unshipped orders, orders with problems and so on. customization was not that hard on basic data reporting. Cons Sudden price increases which just happened for us. Data connectors are limited , they add new ones but not useful for us. they got rid of the iphone app too which was a big disappointment. refreshing takes a long time specially if you use salesforce reports/data. Text on tiles is very small, not the best solution if you want to show the numbers on large TVs. You can make the text Bold but that's pretty much it. We used our dashboard TV within 15ft away from our desk, so it was OK when we were sitting right Infront of TVs. Pros The reason why we decided to implement Geckoboard was due to the difficulties we were facing to share all data with all employees. Geckoboard has helped our business in keeping all employees up to data with all latest data from all employees. The software is very user friendly and one does not need to be very knowledgeable on software operating. Dashboard can be adjusted to your needs which is very effective. Cons The only small issues faced were some error pop-ups which we encountered during the first few months of the implementation but it has now been a while since such an error popped up so it might have been resolved. That you can connect data from so many different sources in an easy way. We have our data exported directly from our systems to an excel file, and it works wonders with the excel widget. So many great ways to visuallise the data in this widget, that is very flexible! Pros How simple it is to connect different data sources, and visualize them fast. Cons A bit pricy when you want to add more dashboards. It would be great if you could customise the layout of data even more. For example Geckoboard is very strict in font size relative to the widget. I have cases where I want to show numbers at a smaller size in a number widget. I have cases where I want to show 3 numbers, but there is only room for 2. A more flexible way to show numbers next and above or under each other would be great. This is nice because it blocks the need for users to have to bring up their own reports on a regular basis. Pros The platform is easy to setup and use on a plethora of devices. It provides good feedback on what is being displayed and offers a good amount of control over the page and its options so users are able to get to the data they need quickly. I am not tech savvy at all and \[sensitive content hidden\] at Geckoboard made setting everything up very easy. He put time into understanding why I wanted a dashboard system, how I wanted to use it, and how Geckoboard could help me accomplish what I set out to do. A big goal for me was to not have to change how I already did things. I didn't want to add more work/steps to what I already did in order to have a dashboard system. This is HUGE for me and he/Geckoboard was able to make it happen. My journey to having a dashboard system for my company started out as a very frustrating one. Other companies I reached out to for assistance during their free trial period were not very helpful or were just flat out unresponsive. I had quite the opposite experience with Geckoboard and I couldn't be happier. Pros I have been tracking sales and commissions through Google Sheets for 5 years now. After getting my sheets dialed in, saving me tons of time, I was still spending significant time each week updating our sales boards in the office. Geckoboard has automated everything and did it using the sales tracking Google Sheets I was already using. This has saved me hours each week. The boards are visually appealing and easy to understand. I can now also have this information in front of our entire company at all times, on their phones or computers, instead of having to be in the office to see the boards. Agents are competitive. They love to see how we are doing as a company and where they fall on the leaderboards. This has provided motivation and healthy competition within the company. The names of employees, along with their current distance from a goal number, are displayed on a massive screen that is occasionally set up in the conference room at our company on occasion. It stirs up just the right amount of competitive camaraderie. Pros Even for people who don't like to look at data, the user interface is appealing to the eye. It is an excellent choice if you are looking for a high-level data-sharing platform for small to medium-sized businesses or corporations to meet your needs. The greater the number of miles that separate each team, the better. Smaller organizations, as well as those that don't need to explain complicated data to people who aren't familiar with the data source, would be less suitable candidates for this solution. Cons Outside of presenting goals, this tool doesn't have a whole lot of other uses. In addition, there are not a lot of options available to choose from when it comes to the graphics themselves. Geckoboard is a great way to do this. It isn't perfect yet, but is still the easiest tool I've used to get data up quickly. Pros Geckoboard was amazingly easy and fast to setup. We've had monitors in our office for years, but never fully utilized them. Geckoboard provided a very easy and fast way to get our data set up. It pulls from the other softwares we're using (Hubspot, Zendesk, Google Doc, etc.) and displays the information in a great format. Cons You're limited to pre-determined fields of data that you an display without much editing (e.g. you can only display data points that Geckoboard has set up). The ability to edit what is being displayed is also limited, depending on the data point. I've also had an issue with knowing the timeframe of the data. For example, we display the % of inbound support calls answered under 40 seconds. Most SaaS solutions you would be interested in tracking have integrations which makes it pretty easy to get going with displaying relevant metrics. The website interface is also pretty easy to use and you can get a dashboard together pretty quickly. We were able to take our Zendesk data and showcase our customer service stats using Geckoboard. Cons It's kind of confusing to use at first and doesn't always pull in all of the data, but with a little elbow grease (not really) we were able to get it to work for us.
