Pros: I love that the employees can request time off or switch/trade shifts from their phone and I can instantly deny or approve the request. I love the ease of pulling the time sheets, and reading the time sheets. I love the access to be able to edit employees time on a daily or weekly basis. Employees can be horrible for clocking in early unauthorized, not clocking out to walk down the street to the store, etc. This app makes it simple to edit this carelessness from employees without even having to sit them down and talk to them about clocking in and out. Its kind of like, Okay, you want to take 20 mins to walk down to dollar general and you have already taken your lunch previous, oh and you didn't clock out. Well let me fix that mistake for you. The system tracks tardies, which is awesome, bc after 90 days, anyone who has been tardy more than 20% of their shifts, only gets offered a part time position within the company. This system gives us accurate data to show the employees at their 90 day evaluation, and the data can't be disputed bc it is tracked based on their clock in and clock out times.

Cons: I don't like the fact that there is not room for multiple clock outs under the edit mode. If we do not clock out for an extra break, there is no where to add it. I always have to add the time employees are gone to their lunch break. It give a false interpretation and false data when we pull data from this system for evaluations. I really wish you would update this to add columns for extra breaks, and reasons for the breaks. Also, I wish you would add a column to give explanation for employees that clock in late, miss a scheduled day, or clock out early. This system does not even track early clock outs, just late clock ins. We often find that employees will leave early to take care of things, and sometimes it can become repetitous. I would like to be able to track the data.

Overall: Okay, so I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS APP AND LOVE THIS PRODUCT. Home base is easy to use, easy to read, easy to understand. The platform is SERIOUSLY DUMMY PROOF! My 9 year old daughter helped me set it up. It is seriously that easy! My 4 year old will open my app and can tell if I forgot to clock out when I left work, and he even knows how to clock me out at the right time! It really is just that simple. I love the restrictions it offers. I can determine whether employees can clock in and out from their app, I can determine whether they can see labor reports, view other employees schedule, and I love the fact that they can request off right from the app, and I can approve or deny right from the app. I love that they can switch schedules and I can approve it instantly from home. This app just has so many great features. I will never use another payroll system again.

Pros: Ease of use, nailed key functions needed, intelligent navigation, visually uncluttered despite having a lot of functionality.

Cons: It is not a shortcoming of the software but of non-technical users. The biggest problem I have had is bringing along the technophobes who are used to working with...wait for it...paper calendars and personal journals to keep up with. They yearn to be able to use something so powerful but blanch when they open the home screen and see what is available. It is about as user friendly as can be imagined but some still are so intimidated that it is hard to get them to dig in. When they do, they begin to appreciate the value that is provided.

The key is bringing the shy types along S L O W L Y. This software will sell itself once it is given a fair opportunity to shine. Just grit your teeth and work with them. It's more than worth the effort.

Overall: This application was offered as part of our new Clover POS system. I began to use it to set up the employee schedules for a small (seven employee plus owners) business. The more I used it, the more impressed I was with it.

It provides every function that a small business like ours needed, taking a very tedious and error prone process and making it easy and transparent to handle. Being able to delegate certain tasks to key employees, auto notices sent for upcoming shifts, notification if someone hasn't clocked in within a set period for their shift, labor rate vs revenue analysis, end of year tax information gathering...and this was all in the free version that came with Clover!

All in all, I am both impressed and pleased with this package. It looks to me like the right team wrote the right code for the right objectives at the right price. How often does that happen in the software world?

Overall: We can not say enough about Homebase and how it has helped our business grow to 7 locations across 3 states ( FL, TX, and NV) with some 80 employees. We could not have managed our staff, Labor cost, Scheduling, Labor Cost Management, and get the support anywhere other than Homebase. When we receive calls from other companies promising everything, it's a short conversation once we inform them of all the FREE services we currently get from Homebase.

Staff training took less than 5 minutes. With the Mobile App. They now schedule their own shifts and changes to the schedule. They communicate with us and other employees.

Homebase feeds into our payroll, gives us a real-time complete one screen view of our organization, including real-time sales, real-time Labor cost, who is working at what location all from our mobile phone. We are able to make an adjustment on the fly if our sales to labor cost are out of balance by sending someone home early or get extra help when required. All this over a coffee or lunch. LOW-STRESS MANAGEMENT.

Pros: I use Homebase on the daily to manage scheduling for my team of 10. It's incredibly efficient, easy to use, and keeps me and my team organized. Our staff's schedules tend to change on the fly with last minute bookings given our private event business, and Homebase is the perfect platform for me to communicate these changes to my team in real time. It's also a great way to manage time-off requests, monitor work hours for our part-timers and hourly employees, and coordinate shifts that need covering. They also have a very responsive customer service team, with options like Live Chat. I strongly recommend the software to smaller teams with hourly employees or contractors!

Cons: It'd be great to have a 'jump to X date/week' option. I view our staff's schedule on a weekly basis, and while you can jump to a monthly calendar view, I'd love an option to type in a specific date and it cue up the weekly schedule from there.

Overall: Organization, communication, efficiency, ease of mind

We got our homebase through our clover system, it was free and an amazing app.

Pros: I could post schedules with ease and it wasn't hard to learn the program. My staff loved if because they could download the app on their phone, see their earnings, schedule and could request time off or switch shifts. Once the staff requested off or changed shifts it gave me the opportunity to approve or deny the request. Also once I uploaded a schedule it would text or email the entire staff or just the ones I made changes to.

Cons: They did update the system and it is a little bit or a learning curve. It also changed how the staff sees their schedule and dashboard.

Overall: I wouldn't change to another application, this has everything you will need for scheduling and payroll. Even if you don't have a clover you can go online and set up your business to schedule your employees.

Pros: it's easy to use, and the staff can use the app to request time off, and they can chat to one another.

Cons: 1) It doesn't connect to your payroll system (even if they say it does)
2)you can't have more than one location and share staff between 2 locations, because the 2 separate schedules don't recognise each other which means when you auto-populate the schedule it double books staff members. (so then the auto-populate feature is useless to you)
3) The support staff are friendly but they ARE NOT very knowledgeable about the products or services, no can seem to make a decision and they very rarely call you back when they say they will.

I cancelled the service to one of my locations and they continued to bill me for 4 months , when i called they said they would call me back once they investigated the billing. I never received a return, when i called them 3 weeks later they said they would only give a refund for 2 months because i never called them back sooner.

Overall: To honest the experience hasn't been great, it feels more like a start up and they haven't worked out all the kinks with the technology, service, and training. They are very nice on the phone i have to give them they still have a long way to go.

Simply the best for me!

Pros: I love being able to access Homebase on my phone. The features available at the Free level are sufficient for my needs at this time and that is very helpful with so many software programs charging for the most minimal of services. I am excited that there are more robust plans available as my business continues to grow that will help me manage my team even more efficiently and with a wider range of options for structure.

Cons: No cons really because everything that has ever been difficult to use within the software has been resolved and fairly quickly.

Overall: I have been using Homebase for over a year. It has been extremely useful for all of my scheduling needs. The few gaps present in the beginning were solved and streamlined. Support has always been over the top amazing! Thanks for a great product!

Comments: I wish I could rate Homebase 10 stars! Of all the things that I use in my business Homebase would be one that I could never let go. I have been with them from the start and have never experienced a growing company striving so hard in customer satisfaction. There were bumps in the road developing the product BUT never once has their customer service let me down. They continually improve and always listen to requests . Response is almost instant when I am in need of help. I am old and set in my ways and this was the most user friendly product ever. We are a Pet Resort not food service and it more than meets our needs daily. My staff loves the ease of use and would revolt if we tried to change back to our previous system.

Pros: My coffee shops use Homebase for all our scheduling. It is the perfect software! It is cost effective- the free version has all the necessary features. We also use it for own employees to clock in/clock out. You can send messages to your team and see who has read them. I highly recommend you check out Homebase if you are in any sort of business.

Cons: Every once in a while the time clock will be glitchy. The manager can correct these discrepancies from with in the app, you just have to keep an eye out.

Pros: I like the ability to move my staff's hours with ease. If I want to switch someone's hours, I can just drag and drop their hours. I'm also able to see the total amount of hours per role, per week and per day. This helps me organize my staff and makes sure I'm at the maximum number of hours I'm allowed to staff for my restaurant.

Cons: I've had problems with the wage rate and applying them when necessary. I print our employees schedules instead of sending their schedule via the app. I never use that function but it seems like it could work well. Just not for our small establishment.

Overall: Scheduling staff with this software gets me super organized and takes me very little time to do so.

Pros: Everything . Customer service is awesome and kiss ( keep it simple stupid ) is the order of the day .

Cons: Nothing I have found .

Overall: I've just completed my first year with Homebase and not only do I love it but so do the employees .
And if they are happy i'm very happy . Our late shows has stopped almost entirely and confusion is almost never . I have employees come to me and point out simple mistakes that have been skipped in the schedule almost immediately . Customer service was a shock . I have not needed them but about 3 times , since everything is so simple , and everytime issues have been cleared up almost instantly . Thank you Homebase for being one of lives pleasures . I now enjoy doing the schedule .

Pros: This app has been extremely beneficial for employees to quickly run cash out reports and enter cash tips at end of shift. The mobile app is great for correcting clock in/out times and adjusting cash tips in a matter of seconds. Great tracking for payroll and syncing with clover. I have not used the scheduling feature yet, but love the functionality of it.

Cons: The free version does not allow you to assign multiple jobs to each employee.

Overall: Free software that really works and simplifies payroll and scheduling. Absolutely love the customer service and it is offered 24/7! Need to call at midnight? Not a problem!

Pros: Prior to using this system, I used to use google calendar and I relied on my employees to check the calendar in order to know when they work. Now with home base I can:

- See when my employees viewed the scheduled via text or email
- See when my employees arrive late or miss a shift all together
- Request a trade or coverage

One feature I recently paid for was the ability to monitor their breaks better. In the past, we had just given them paid breaks and hoped they'd punch back in at a reasonable time. However, now we give them a set time and any additional time is taken as unpaid. I love that I don't have to watchdog them for their entire shift.

Cons: The schedule layout is a little wonky. I don't do the best with color definition, so It would be nice if they allowed schedulers to use symbols instead of colors to define job responsibilities.

The FREE version is so powerful...

Pros: Homebase makes our life so much easier and integrated into our restaurant. This app enables managers and employees to get on the same page in the digital age. We are able to schedule through homebase and our employees get notifications via the mobile app. The employees are able to set their availability and request time off, easily. On top of all this, homebase integrates with our payroll system, Gusto. This makes it incredibly easy to transfer hours over for payroll.

Did I mention this was all in the Free version? We are looking into the paid version to help us save money and automate a few things when scheduling.

Pros: Running multiple retail store locations with over hundreds of part / full time team members. Homebase provides an excellent tool for our HR to run schedules, making it easy for team members to cover shifts at different locations, shorten payroll hours verification at end of month, bargain costs in services fees, very good customer support center on trouble shooting. Pros: Encompasses a broad spectrum of tools and useful information

Cons: Found it a bit difficult to understand and use in the beginning. Also not that easy to switch from 1 page to another.

Overall: We have been in business for about 18 months. We just didn't have the resources or feel a great need for a POS. Our bank offered this system and we finally installed it about 6 months ago. What a difference it has made. Now we know what we didn't know!
The most useful features for us are the time sheet feature and the Insights. Payroll has become much more streamlined and accurate. We only have a few employees so this system is more than adequate for our needs. I especially appreciate the feature that compares sales to payroll and contrasts it to the previous week. In a small business like ours, it's crucial to keep expenses in check.
With Insights, we can gain knowledge about our customers and products that are very useful in making any changes or for planning purposes. It's like having a consultant without the cost or time involved with that.
We know we have just scratched the surface with this system. In time, we will definitely be able to use it more fully.

Recommendations to other buyers: I do recommend it. I would say to get some training at first to make things go more smoothly

Pros: I love how easy it is to use from my phone, home or office. I love that my employees can do the same, and request time off and get email/text reminders when I make changes

Cons: My employees schedules are always very different, I have to create a new schedule from scratch each time and setting up shifts can be a little time consuming. It would also be nice to have a feature on my schedule for days we are closed, like holidays.

Overall: I love how easy it is to keep track of my employees. Scheduling is my least favorite part of my life and Homebase makes it very easy for me to take care of it wherever I am. My employees love that they can use their phones to check their schedules and request time off. It's a very seamless system.

Pros: I love the user friendly aspects for both my employees and myself. I love that the software makes it convenient and flexible for my employees to request time off as well as trade shifts and get coverage when needed. I can manage those requests easily from anywhere.

Cons: I cannot see an entire month's view of the schedule. I would love for that to be an option.

Overall: From the moment I started using it, Homebase had been a time saving, headache reducing, essential part of running my business.

Pros: I manage the schedules for my team. Using Homebase to update my employees on their rotating schedules makes it very handy. Schedules and roles can be color coordinated for easy tracking. Employees are notified by text, email or popup notification when their new schedules come out.

Cons: Our old software would let employees edit their missed clock ins and schedule errors. It would be nice if Homebase added this feature. I do spend a lot of time logging in and fixing errors each week. If there was some sort of way to verify edits that employees have made, it would make it a lot handier.

Overall: Easy schedule tracking.

Cons: Almost nothing to complain about. at most I would be nit-picking.

Overall: HomeBase replaced our previous scheduling software and made everything better almost instantly. Color coding allowed me to understand and process my schedule so much faster. The mobile app is worth it's weight in gold as my employees love being able to trade shifts quickly and easily with one another. I also love being able to check and manage my labor percentages and see hourly sales.

Pros: I like being able to send my schedules out to my team via email each week. Time off request are lso easy to handle because the come through the Homebase team email as well. So when I do the scheduling it is already in its time slot the minute I approve it.

Cons: I wanted to cooperate my students login. But having to go through so many steps for a parent to log their child in isn't so easy.

Overall: I have been in business for just a few months(6) and Homebase has been great to work with. Any questions I have had was answered in a matter of a phone call.

Pros: time clock and schedule in one place!

Cons: mobile site is not great

Overall: We have beening using Homebase for about 8 months and it is better than any of the other online timeclocks we've used so far. The desktop version is great, we can message each other and our staff, change settings, look up staff phone numbers, etc. The version on our phones is not great. Staff will try to clock in or out and are standing in my break room and the app says they are not on site...but they are! That can be frustrating. We also can't find each others phone numbers on the mobile site and that would be helpful. Mostly, we love it tho!

Recommendations to other buyers: allow staff to find each others phone numbers easily so they can contact each other

Pros: Reasonable price, ease of use, compatibility with SurePayroll, communication options with employees.

Cons: More flexibility in reports (e.g., control which columns to see and width of columns) and exporting.

Overall: I run multiple businesses and have used a variety of time-clock programs. I ran into Homebase by accident through my clover account. It became my favorite program and I am looking to switch my other businesses over to it.

Still Learning, stuck in the dark ages I guess.

Cons: It is still a bit confusing for setting up, but if I just commit to it I would probably find myself really utilizing it's functions more.

Overall: I use this for tracking employee schedule. Tracks time employees have work so that figuring payroll is easy. Catch employee errors a lot.

Recommendations to other buyers: Just commit yourself and you will like using this for all your payroll and scheduling needs.

Pros: It's pretty easy to switch between your schedule, your teams schedules, and other teams schedules. Pretty clean design, categorizes by weeks. There's a nice display of hours you've worked and the amount of money that translates too. Trading, dropping and and picking up shifts is super easy and convenient. Offers an in-app messaging system to chat with other workers

Cons: There was a bit of difficulties getting other worker's contact informations, like their phone number.

Cons: Wish there was a tier between the free app with Clover and the Paid App. We would pay for alerts but don't need all the other options.

Overall: We are a small business and we needed an affordable scheduling and time clock systems. We found the Homebase app on our Clover Mini and gave it a try. Our staff gives it 5 stars and so do we. No more spread sheets and an old time clocks that jammed up. Thank you for taking our business up a notch. And our accountant likes the reports too!

Pros: I love that I can access the staff schedule anywhere on my phone and that my staff can trade shifts, enter time off, etc. on their own and ask for my approval.

Cons: For some of my older (non techie) staff its not as user friendly, but most of us have figured it all out.

Overall: Saves me time and makes the changing of the staff scheduling easy!

Pros: Homebase keeps improving and I am always looking forward to what they are going to come up with next. This app makes scheduling my team a breeze as well as communicating with them. I am always looking at my labor percentage since it syncs with my clover POS. The app is user friendly and I rarely have any issues with it.

Cons: The only thing I dislike is that it counts gift cards as revenue which throws off my labor percentage especially around the holidays.

Cons: Scheduling interface. Only because I really like Google calendar. I have a hard seeing who is scheduled when. I'm getting used to it, so it's not a deal breaker.

Overall: We used to use Google Calendar to schedule. And timeclockvsoftware on our PC POS. Which I monitored and manually adjusted at the terminal, to manual generate a PDF report saved to a shared file in the cloud that My bookkeeper used to enter into our payroll processors software... Now, we create the schedule, monitor activity, make adjustments, view and generate all reports, remotely! Everyone who needs access, has it! Welcome to the 21st century!

Recommendations to other buyers: I would like to see all employee information, including time availability, in one place. Like if I Clicked on Johns profile, anything related to John was under that one tab... Personal information, requested time off, availability, hours scheduled, hours worked, etc.

Pros: The software is easy to use and affordable. Fast. Perfect for small businesses with less than 50 employees. It was included in my Clover POS System at no charge. There is additional functionality available for and extra monthly charge.

Cons: Can't control the print outs to get them to look the way you want. It does not appear to be highly customizeable.

Overall: I was able to save some money monthly that i was paying for Shiftplanning software. This offered me similar functionality at a very low price.

Pros: Easy to learn. Shift reminders an hour before your shift. Tracks labor vs sales. Customer service is excellent.

Overall: Was using a spreadsheet to do scheduling, but trying to keep up with everyone was time consuming. This is so easy to use, and like how in tracks labor costs. Scheduling takes half the time as it did before. Also like the shift reminders it sends out.

Cons: If the internet stops working even the littlest bit were not able to use all of the functions

Overall: Being used to a POS system I thought it would be hard to learn but very easy. Expandable with uses and a lot of great updates with many recourses if you need help.

Pros: Since I have been using Homebase they have upgraded some of the features and I love those fixes.

Cons: Can't think of any.

Overall: I am coming from doing payroll manually--this product is so great. Keeps employees accountable. Keeps a record for me. I wish I had started using it sooner. Only had to use customer service once, but they were very patient and helpful.

Overall: We really love using homebase. It is very easy to set up and get started! I love that the schedule is sent out either via text or email to my employees as soon as I publish it. I am able to make changes easily. I also like the fact that my employees can put their availability in, it makes it very easy to see who is available. We are also using the timecard feature. Highly recommend it. Best part about it, is it is FREE! LOVE IT!

Pros: I love the updates on it as of last week! It lets you know the earnings and pay period. I also like you can see who you are working with! I also love the interaction with staff.

Cons: I love it more now since the updates hopefully in coming updates you can get your W2 or pay stub. Then that would make the app very useful for tax time purpose or any other matter. I also think that would help management as well

Pros: I love how I can add hour pay and amount of hours and it calculates for me.

Cons: None from me.

Cons: Needs better integration with WellsFargo Business Payroll Services. It's not horrible, but could be smoother.

Overall: I was looking for a simple way to run my business and was really surprised how robust the Homebase system was. Coming from the software industry I was skeptical at first, but it really does allow me to focus on other aspects of the business. Great product and support all-in-all. Definitely recommend.

Cons: Must be using higher level of Quickbooks to integrate time uploading.

Overall: We used to use spreadsheets for recording employee time, but often the formulas would get messed up and it was annoying to always be fixing them or reminding people to fill them out. With Homebase our employees easily clock in and out on the iPad app each day, and I can review everything or quickly make corrections on the secure website. We are a small business (5 hourly employees) and use the basic version of Quickbooks, so our Homebase time doesn't upload into it. However for what we need it for, it works perfectly! There is a lot of built in functionality that can be used for a variety of businesses, but we just don't need it for our office.

Whenever I've called with a question or concern, their support team is responsive and professional. I would highly recommend Homebase without hesitation.

Pros: Homebase is capable of so many different, important things like scheduling time off, seeing your schedule, trading shifts with someone, seeing how many hours you've worked, and how much you've made.

Cons: I don't think there's anything I don't like about the software. It's beautiful and unlike anything I've used before. I suppose the only thing I don't like is that there isn't an option to show that you've been promoted. So it might think, after you've increased your hourly wage, that you've always been paid that amount and gives you an incorrect amount of how much you've made.

Overall: It's easier and faster than other software that tries to do something similar. It has all of the information I need in an easily accessible site or app.

Overall: We were doing schedules on excel, which was a nightmare to keep up with. Now when people need a day off it reminds me, I don't have to keep up with loose papers requesting time off. Getting hours corrected is much easier. I would certainly recommend this product to any small business

Pros: The scheduling within the app has been a huge asset. As a small company that is just getting started with set schedules, this provides a clear, easy way to let my employees know weeks in advance what their schedule is. Clocking in and clocking out is seamless for employees as well.

Cons: There is a tiny learning curve. If you spend the morning with it and read the FAQs you can be an expert in no time. Another con is an employee can't edit their own schedule. With Homebase, if they make a mistake, they always have to come to me to correct it, rather than me verifying their shift after they corrected it.

Overall: Clear communication. Easy time tracking. A great dashboard.

Homebase is awesome. It's super user friendly and I have never had a crash issue or anything.

Pros: The best part about Homebase is being able to use it with others on your team. You can see who'll be in and who won't be in, and trade shifts with others.

Cons: I get signed out of Homebase sometimes and have to log in before clocking out. It seems like that happens when I lose service though.

Comments: I have been looking for a solution that provides both scheduling and timeclock/timesheet functionality and Homebase do both for free. It is very easy to set-up and I can access it from both my laptop and iPhone which is very convenient. Would be great if Homebase also offered other HR related products in the future so that I can manage my restaurant in as few apps/services as possible.

Overall: I really appreciated the updates - copying schedules over to other weeks is awesome. This software makes it easy to schedule my team, easy for me to budget my payroll, and easy to notify people who are working.

Easy to set up and use. Scheduling and sending my payroll info to my accountant is very easy.

Pros: Theoretically, I like the suite of features offered. Except that they don't work as they are supposed to.

Cons: It is EXTREMELY buggy if using any of the reporting or labor costing functionality. The clock-in/clock-out feature often does not capture my staff's time correctly. The customer service team doesn't understand the product well enough to troubleshoot anything and I've now attempted to work with them on the same issues 7 or 8 times to no avail.

Overall: Very few and they are totally outweighed by the mysterious flaws in the system I am constantly trying to work through.

Pros: Not only did it make the scheduling easier, it allows my staff to check their schedules from home and sign up for open shifts remotely. The ability to create templates made it possible to create schedules months ahead of time so everybody can make plans more easily.

Cons: We just started experimenting with clocking in and out. It would be nice if staff could clock in once in the morning and then simply clock out at the end of the day. Right now, when a staff member changes Service Desks, they'll have to sign out and then sign in again.

Comments: For a small business starting out it is nice to have something easy to use and quick. We have used Homebase for 6 Months and haven't had any issues. We are using the most simple form of Homebase but there are many options we will consider as the Company grows.

Comments: There are a lot of options to choose from for an employee time clock and scheduling software. I tried another one on their 14 trial and I liked it a lot, but it would have been a month just to see how many hours our employees worked for payroll! After the 3rd day of my trial period with Homebase, I purchased their second tier for a fraction of the other software's cost.

Pros: Homebase is very affordable for our small business, which averages about 10 employees. Our scheduling manager loves it and so do our employees. Having it as an app on my phone makes it very quick and easy to see who is working or scheduled to work. There is an amazing amount of features on Homebase. The time sheets are very easy for payroll with my Quick Books desktop. We couldn't be more pleased.

Cons: Only two cons that I have noticed: 1) It integrates with many POS systems, but not with the one we use, which is RAIN. 2) It integrates with one type of QB, but not with the desktop version.

Pros: Love that I can access it from anywhere to see that my employees clock in on time. Easy to schedule employees workdays and hours worked.

Cons: There isn't anything I don't like about this software so the only con I can think of is that I probably don't use it to its full potential.

Overall: Homebase software gives me all sorts of reports and insights into my business which aids in planning.

Scheduling is easy and it allows me to build it as I need depending on department.

Pros: Easy to use, no one can state they didn't know their schedule as it is texted to them. I can color co-ordinate the schedule to assign various tasks. If I change the schedule, I can have it sent only to those affected instead of bombarding everyone.

Cons: I want to utilize the time clock but it's not as generic as I would like. I on't like that I have to have them log in under a management log in every time. I would rather it be super simple to where they can select their name and clock in or out.

Pros: i require that all sign in if they want to get paid for their hours. That stick has seemed to work because there are no excuses now for not signing in and out

Cons: i am not sure how to set up the schedule for each person but i havent worked that much with it. We only have 2 people and they work the same schedule so it is not so hard without a schedule except the daily emails tell me they are "not scheduled"

Pros: Extremely convenient and manageable on the go from your smartphone app

Overall: This app has made scheduling almost effortless. I also really like the feature of my weekly reports comparing my employee salary expenses vs revenue generated. It even breaks it down per employee if you'd like. Im completely satisfied and happy I downloaded and use this app.

Pros: The sheer convenience and ease of use is a great draw for this app! Let you gather analytics easily, and presents them in easy to understand ways.

Cons: More features should be made available in the free version, like the Mobile Time Clock, which are only present in the upgrades.

Overall: It is so easy to coordinate team schedules, and track team performance via the app. The ease at which you can track each members analytics is a great advantage to owners. Well done, Homebase!

Pros: supposedly, it integrates with Gusto. But I had to invoke customer service to get it to work. It said my Pros: review was too short. but I had nothing better to say.

Cons: this is a "punch a timeclock" system. completely useless for professionals who don't "punch a clock" but instead enter their time. There is no way to do this. And I only found this out after spending 4 hours trying to set it all up...

Overall: Hands down the best part about Clover is Homebase. It saves you time, it saves you money, employees love it. Literally everything about it is Superb.

Pros: Labor tracking, time clock and ease of use. The ability for employees to use the time clock with picture capture is awesome!

Cons: Wish the time clock was available for managers on phone app. I have had some managers and owners that want their employees to report directly to them soon arrival. They don't always have a tablet or iPad with them. So having this on their phone would be easier.

Pros: Ease of use. It was very easy to train my staff to clock in and out. I also can build a schedule in a flash.

Cons: I would like to add in breaks on the time clock when my team forgets to punch out for lunch. This might already be possible I just don't know how to do it.

Overall: Homebase was offered on my POS system so I tried it and its great for managing my staff, preparing timesheets for payroll and checking on time and attendance.

Recommendations to other buyers: Just to give it a try!

Comments: I used Google Calendar to build employee schedules for almost four years, always knowing it was not ideal. I don't know what finally pushed me over the edge to search for something far more functional, intuitive and easier on me as an owner and administrator, but I'm so happy I got pushed. Homebase has saved me crazy amounts of time and frustration, makes payroll reporting a jillion times easier, is better for my employees, and is actually a pleasure to use. I'm not kidding.

Overall: I like HOMEBASE a lot! I have seen other scheduling and payment softwares and they are just horrible and complicated compared to HOMEBASE. HOMEBASE is so easy, for example it does all the math in the background and gives you the information you need, especially for me as a young startup with 9 employees I couldn't think of any better.

I have around 15-20 people on staff and this saves me time and helps me balance everyone's time off requests. And timesheets! I do my own payroll and this ads up hours automatically! Overall: After using multiple software solutions for my employee time tracking, Homebase has proven to be the best on the market. This is a very inexpensive way to give me and my employees the comfort of knowing their time is accurate. I use with my Clover system and it has truly been flawless.

Cons: Not being able to upload to Inuit payroll.

Overall: I like the scheduling & timekeeping Needs some slight improvement on sales input. Manual input for departments would be great. Also slight glitches on the app. (Messages sometimes freezes).

Recommendations to other buyers: Improve the app - give managers more functionality. And messaging is a good start but needs a little more work.

Comments: Homebase is a wonderful tool. The functionality and ease of the tool is amazing. I can make a schedule and copy as needed. I have the ability to do payroll on the go based on the time sheet reports available on the web/app!!! Employees are able to request time off or trade shifts. I absolutely love being able to send group messages to the team through the program. You need this in your small business.
