Pros

It is a great tool for our business to notify our team of shifts and schedule them accordingly. As we plan to grow, the additional features offered in the next level of Homebase service will be nice features to start using.

Cons

Every now and then the schedule that gets published some how has minor changes made to it. Not sure how and it is much more infrequent than a year ago.

Reason for choosing Homebase

Having the basic schedule making feature was this initial draw. That service for us was huge. Now that we are in the Homebase ecosystem for scheduling it definitely has us considering upgrading the service once we grow and can afford the additional features. I never considered having a HR platform like this for our small coffee shop, but the feature set reminds me of my past corporate jobs and the service is a nice one to have.

We recently switched to Homebase from another provider and I have found it so much more simple & easy to teach our employees. I love that the app allows me to post schedules and reminds my employees of their shifts. The app has many great amenities & I utilize every single one of them!

Pros

Our employees really enjoy using the Homebase app for many reasons- It makes it so easy to clock in and out at work, they can use their phone too (it tracks their location). The app shows their upcoming shifts and they can also communicate with each other. This is helpful because they can talk to everyone at once, or give a shout-out (love that feature!) The app is very simple yet super helpful. We recently switched over to Homebase and I enjoy using to keep in contact with my employees.

Cons

A disadvantage of the app would definitely be, for me, would be the automatic break it includes. This takes time to go back and adjust, it should be optional.

Pros

Quick and easy set up. No training time needed for onboarding new staff.

Cons

Since we are using the time clock to keep track of student hours, it would be nice to be able to remove pay rates or have a non payroll option.

I have really enjoyed this program and would recommend the basic package for anyone with 5 or more employees, especially if you are covering more than one shift..

Pros

This began as a trial service for me and I chose to continue using this program through the change of ownership in the home I work in. It has served me well and allows me to be extremely creative in my scheduling.

Cons

I would like to see the employee profile be more inclusive and have brithdates, anniversaries, etc.

Homebase has been very easy to work with. Their chat associates are fast, friendly and get things done.

Pros

Great interface. Extremely user friendly. Flexibility for multiple permission levels is a great feature. Best time clock/employee database program for the money.

Cons

I don't have any cons at this time. We have had great service and the tool continues to work without any issues.

I love the scheduling and how it keeps up with the hours

Cons

I don't like that employees can see who their team members are. That shoud be a option that you can turn on or off since we're in Home Healthcare and don't really get to see other team members

Homebase is a gret program to use if you are wanting to keep your costs down as it can be used for free but will not provide you with all of your possible needs. Once you start paying for this app it becomes quite pricey but most of these schedules have a price tag so you need to find the one that is best for you. This has been my favourite.

Pros

This is a great software if you are wanting to just do scheduling and view on a daily basis. You can upgrade and pay for more detail analysis and tracking

Cons

The copy and paste scheduling must be completed before the week starts or you need to input it manually for each employee

Pros

It remembers archives employees , i have to change their times not them:)

Cons

They dont get back to you & the guy sort of skirts the issue of where my employee cholcked in.. never really did answer me , just a stock response

It is extremely easy to see when I am working and who I'll be working with. I can request time off and update my availability through the app.

I have no real complaints about homebase. It does everything I need it to do and it does it efficiently

Pros

Really great tool for communication with our team, also scheduling and time off requests are streamlined through this app. I love that once a request is made and accepted it automatically generates in the schedule!

Cons

Its really frustrating to not be able to change mistakes. Our employees make mistakes often or because we are a service business in the field sometimes they don't have cell service so clock ins can't happen. Customer service is so hard over the internet and takes longer than I would expect.

I love how easy it is to view the schedule/ calender. If changes to the schedule are made, we are notified immediately view alerts on phones instead of waiting for the manager to call about schedule changes

100% love it. Its a great way to communicate to the team.

Pros

I can see my pay daily from hours worked. I am able to communicate with the entire team through this app. Trade shifts. Requests days off. Give shout outs to team members.

Cons

Nothing so far. It is very awesome so i have no cons to say about the homebase app. Im so glad my employer uses it
