Overall I have been very impressed with Homebase and its ease of use. It doesn’t require a ton of training for new employees and easy to edit time clock errors from my phone!

Pros

I love using Homebase for my time keeping program for a college internship I run. I love the feature that I can see where they clocked in and out from so I can make sure they truly were at work when I have a day off. The ability to message all employees at once is very convenient when we have an important message to get out. I do feel like it’s a good value.

Cons

You are not able to download specific costs of roles which I wish you could. I do several grants and need then information for reporting.

We started using this about 4 years ago, as a way to help manage our schedule and payroll a bit better, and the idea that employees could swap shifts and have it only approved by MGMT online was very appealing.

Pros

I like the layout of the program, and the ease of use to get started. It's solid for time-tracking my employees, and they enjoy being able to access their schedule online

Cons

It's a touch pricey if you have more than one store, and the customer support, while not terrible, does take a little time to get through to.

Overall Homebase was a very easy, and reliable workplace app that made scheduling and time sheets a breeze.

Pros

Very relatable time clock, with zero hiccups over the years. Quite easy scheduling and also for booking time off.

Cons

Location access was not always accurate, and was easy for employees to falsely modify hours. Customer support eventually helped!

This is a fantastic website/app. I use this mainly for scheduling and staff communications. It is easily navigational for my staff and very user friendly for my use too. This has been as asset to my work place. Staff can request days or time off with ease. This is also fantastic to help with payroll budget tracking. You can also keep track of staff information like emergency contact etc. which is a necessity to have on hand. There is a timeclock built into this app which I don't use, however, from what I explored of that portion of the app it is very helpful too. One of my favourite features is the hiring aspect of this app. You click on the hiring tab and you can post one job listing that will translate to all hiring sites I know of (Indeed, google etc). This is perfect to get all the resumes in one place and it tracks things like if they have their foodsafe certificate, or any other requirements. Long story short - 100% would recommend. Try the FREE version and see what it can do for your business.

Pros

I love the scheduling part as it is super easy to navigate. This is super beneficial for adding time off, appointments or remembering holidays.

Cons

I don't like how you have to pay for premium features, but I understand that is how Homebase makes money just like any other site. AKA thus far I have no complaints. This is a great app and its easy for my staff to use.

It's super easy to put together a team schedule,

Cons

I wish that you could add a lunch break within the shift you are scheduling without having to split it up and make it two separate shifts on the same day.

We really liked it overall. We have very few problems and multiple users. I could easily see my staffs hours.

Pros

Easy to use. Easy to adjust time, log in, lock user log in. Ability to add and change times as well as verify if they were correct.

Cons

Sometimes logging in could be a challenge but it wasnt overall bad at all. We had genuinely good luck using this program.

easy to clock in and out on. it also has a chat feature which makes it easy for people to ask for shift changes. geo tracking is available as well

Cons

it logs people out of the app frequently which can be a pain especially when you need to clock in quickly

Not great at all. Terrible user interface and everything seems scattered.

Pros

It handles employee weekly pay easily, job scheduling, and in-app messenging.

Cons

The mobile app is horrendous, very difficult to navigage scheduled jobs, assigned jobs, and completed jobs. Cant add job photos, hard to tell if a shift was picked up by an employee after posting. Using the desktop version is not feasible as we need to access the app on the go.

Connecteam's free trial is limited to a maximum of 10 users. Our admin team takes up 3 users, so we only have spots for 7 workers. To not be limited to just 7 workers on app, we moved to Homebase.

### "Great for Small Businesses."

No complaints with Homebase except for the Cash Out requirements.

Pros

Homebase is simple, straight forward, and intuitive for administrators and employees alike. The recruiting features are very nice and we received over 100 candidates in the first week.

Cons

I do not like the requirements for the Cash out feature for receiving a portion of pay early.

I find the app easy to use for administrative and the employees find it easy to use for employment information.

Pros

The schedule building part. So easy to make a schedule for over 30 people! The copy from a past week is a great time saver. We also use the timeclock. Very easy to correct those who forget to clock in or out. Also can tell by the dashboard who hasn't clocked in or isn't here.

Cons

Can't think of anything. We have had it for quite awhile now.

It makes my job so easy when it comes to keeping up with employees & tracking their hours. I want to see what the payroll piece will do. While I have a CPA doing my book keeping and doing payroll which cost me 600 monthly for two location. I want to really need to save money.

Pros

I love the way I can manage my employees schedule using Homebase, make schedules, and update pricing. The Clover is the best POS system since sliced bread.

Cons

I want to use HR, but it's too high for me at this time. I need to get a employee hand book completed and I have yet to do it and I've been using Homebase to almost 9 years.

Overall it was great, i liked clocking in and out and found the system to be efficient and useful. I wish the time-off and holiday were on the free plan too. I think that would make more people want to sign up. Other than that I enjoyed it for two years. I would highly recommend this even if your new.

Pros

If your new to the whole productivity/time-keeping area then homebase is great starting point. It has some great features which as a startup i have used, such as building my own rota for the month and scheduling timeoff. also it comes with a free plan so you can make most of it before paying into a monthly subscription.

Cons

I would like some of the paid features to be free hence why i left and cancelled the account. Other than that if it had those i would have stayed.

Homebase is easy to use. It meets the needs of a small operation like mine.

Pros

Scheduling is easy. My employees have gotten used to checking the app for their schedules.

Cons

A bit pricy for a minor upgrade. I don't need all the bells and whistles, but I'd pay a small upgrade fee for the features available in scheduling upgrade.

We are a very small business and to be able to use the clock in and out feature on the free program is great. I am able to see when my employees are clocked in or not instead of going by he said she said. It has helped a lot in determining if we need to keep, promote, or fire employees.

Pros

I love the fact that They have a free program that I can use to track my employees clock in and out. I also love that I can use it for Payroll.

Cons

The mobile version is different from the desktop version. I prefer the desktop version better.

Very well! I would recommend for others! It is very similar to many scheduling apps, features are easily digestible and employees don’t have a hard time utilizing the features

Pros

Scheduling with ease! I try different softwares and this is a very reliable scheduling app! Wasn’t hard to understand, love the colors!

Cons

The pricing but aside from this all is well! Pricing is a huge factor taken into consideration when expiring scheduling apps and this would be considerably on the higher end

Overall it's been a great experience, customer service has been very helpful when needed, and the platform is easy to use, along with the mobile app.

Pros

It's ease of use! Super helpful for scheduling, communication and accessing team contact information quickly and effectively.

Cons

I exclusively use it for volunteers right now, it'd be really helpful if there was a setting that was specifically for volunteers, so that they didn't get a bunch of information that didn't pertain to them.

Great! Customer service is what stands out by far. The few times that I have had to call for help, your team has been warm, friendly and very knowledgable. My employees can get help too!

Loved homebase for group communication, as we needed to keep everyone informed.

Pros

Scheduling and posting jobs was very easy!

Cons

Sometimes the app wouldn't show that someone had privately messaged - group chats always showed up though so it was a bit odd
