So they are overall paper-based industry. the CEO who sits in HO, has no visibility of what is happening in different sites. Now with this dashboard, their 60% of work is automated and it has 100% visibility and tracking is effective. Now mistakes are reduced, project is on track. One email every mrng gives PM a large pic of his project Pros 1\. The best feature is of this software is, scheduling the automatic email, which is the number 1 request from all our customers. If one day holistics email stops, our customers will question us. 2. Email feature gives the Top management like CEO, PM's, Director the overall view of what is happening at their project. 3. Best is Dashboard Emailing - 200% benefit, Even microsoft Power BI doesnot have this feature, so you guys beat Power BI in this aspect. Kudos. 4. Cant imagine a day without your software. Cons 1\. The major drawback is Drilldown feature not available like Power BI 2. Creating Timeseries filters, dropdown takes more time in holistics. Which needs improvements. 3. Very less interactive. 4. When emailed large dashboard with wider bar graph, few bar lines in that gets shrinked and creates confusion for users. It would be much better if you could address this better. The team at Holistics is very friendly and always open to feedback, which we really liked. They are always looking to improve their product and get community and key customer feedback into their product. I like that they provide a single place for you to model your data and the interface for modelling (both Code and Visual) allow for good flexibility in creating what you want to do. Cons Holistics is missing a few key features which does make it a little harder to use than other systems. BI Manager Used the software for: 1-3 years ### "Fantastic BI tool with the best price-to-value ratio on the market" December 19, 2023 5.0 We have been able to use Holistics to promote a self-service data culture across the whole company. All business teams are actively making use of Holistics. Marketing teams use Holistics every day to monitor marketing performance and aid decisions on campaign optimizations and lead attribution. Our finance team uses it to track all unit metrics for operations of the business, from recurring revenue, churn to retention. We basically cover everything with Holistics. It's the only BI tool we have. Pros 1) The data modeling as-code is great. It saves a lot of time and it helped us migrate from one data warehouse to another. Modifying SQL syntax is easy and it helped save a lot of time. 2) Business users can easily explore from existing dashboards to answer their own questions. This solved our data exploration limitation faced with Data Studio. 3) Overall cadence of feature releases is impressive as well as customer support and reliability of the product. Cons The only thing we are missing is the management of dashboards as code as it would help speed up the development and lower the maintenance time needed for that part of Holistics (I understand this feature is about to be released in Beta soon). Pros We identified Holistics to replace Chartio as our data analysis and visualization platform after Chartio was discontinued as a result of acquisition. We have been using Holistics for about 3 months, and our experience is largely positive. It was easy to connect with the data sources, and there is a lot of flexibility how the analysts can configure the data via the data modeling layer as we need. When we have questions, whether it is more general about the product or a more specific feature, we have been able to get assistance from the Support team in a timely manner, which is really good for migrating to a new product. Cons In general we would like to see more ability to customize the reports on the visualization side. There are also some issues when loading the reports and refreshing the page often helps. Common analytical functions, such as period-over-period comparisons and percent-of-total calculations, are natively supported as built-in features, which significantly reduce our development time. The platform also performs well even as our data needs and transaction volumes grow. April 4, 2023 5.0 We have built visualizations in Holistics that took it way beyond the 'out-of-the-box' tools. WE are exploring the embedding of the advanced custom charts and have been quite successful. Overall, once we formulated our framework and truly understood the requirements for preventing circular relationships, we have found it easy to work in and very effective at communicating what information really resides within our data. Pros We are a startup with a limited budget and, after a review of our options, Holistics became an excellent choice to get us going in BI without the typical huge annual expense. The team at Holistics immediately responded to one of my requests for an enhancement to the tool before we had signed our first contract. Incredible! I have not ever had that kind of customer service. It is a powerful tool for a reasonable price from a great company. Cons We need the ability to build an interface with guardrails for our less tech-savvy users and there is no way to build a custom landing page as of yet. We would also like the ability to copy a report between data sources. Export and import of the metadata would suffice. It enables us to quickly get and deliver data to consumers without spending extensive amounts of time on development and support of this process. No client installation, user licenses management, additional dedicated infrastructure requirements or other clutter like that.Data sources are easy to connect, and once connection is set you are ready to create data models and visualization on top of them.Data models are built using SQL which is great for us, as it is commonly used by our development team.Holistics rolls out updates regularly and their support team is responsive and quick. Customer support is really receptive. Pros The biggest benefits that I've realized after using Holistics are: 1) For dashboard creation, something that would take me several hours if I write SQL queries, I was able to do in a few minutes with Holistics with just a little bit of tweaking. 2) Our data request queue was reduced from one month to almost instantaneous. Our end users who don't know how to write SQL are able to get the data they need very quickly and they're able to make more informed data decisions. 3) With Holistics, I can minimize the amount of raw SQL I have to write in a day. Because my business users are able to rapidly help themselves with the datasets and reports that we provided them. We particularly love the drill-throughs and cross-filtering functionalities. Pros It has an embedded dashboards feature which is saving technical team from hundreds of hours of development effort to visualize data. The maximum return time I experienced from the support team is around 2 hours. And the documentation is really detailed. Cons It is great but can have a little bit more options for data caching policies in general. It is currently only limited to individual reports. We very much like the ability of Holistics in performing ETL job and its scheduling ability. Last but not least, their heartfull customer service practice and and their proactive approach in taking feedback from customers are the one true quality that set them apart from the others.
