Pros

The best thing about Connecteam is how intuitive and straightforward its functions are. Once you start using it regularly, it becomes very easy to navigate and use effectively.

Cons

The biggest downside of Connecteam is the lack of flexibility to add custom functions or integrations. There are times when I'd like the system to display information or automate tasks in a specific way, but since those features aren't available. I end up having to complete some otherwise simple processes manually.

Additionally, we’ve established a training hub, which means new team members won’t have to navigate their first week by guessing. This improvement has significantly reduced chaos and provided us with an efficient way to keep operations running smoothly without micromanaging every minor detail.

Pros

Connecteam has revolutionized our operations. It consolidates everything our team requires for scheduling and communication, making it easily accessible. I appreciate its customizability! Even those on our team who struggle with technology learned to use it quickly, which speaks volumes. It’s efficient, user-friendly, and has truly enhanced our daily workflows. Our top features include centralized communication and employee scheduling! The setup was incredibly straightforward, and I enjoyed the helpful videos provided in each section.

Cons

I’m happy with Connecteam overall, but there are a few areas for improvement. I would appreciate more flexibility in the pricing structure; some desirable features are locked in bundled upgrades. A la carte selection of certain tools without purchasing the full hub would be great. Additionally, a simple way to track staff absences directly in the scheduling or time clock module would enhance usability. These small additions would elevate an already great platform.

I love that Connecteam is consistently innovating. There are multiple updates coming out each year, which speaks to how receptive their leadership is to end-user feedback.

Cons

The job scheduling does not integrate perfectly with our CRM, which isn't necessarily a fault of Connecteam, but I do wish certain Zapier integrations were more seamless.

We have been very happy with connecteam overall. We appreciate the videos and tutorials when new features are added or changed. The communication is amazing and their customer service when we have needed it has been fantastic.

Pros

The accessibility for all my employees as well as the different options and features and the ability to turn them off or on. This app has been perfect for my business. I spent months looking for something to do what i wanted and needed. I had many options but said no to them as they did things backwards to what worked best for us. When i found connecteam it was exactly what i was looking for. They have done so many updates and additions since we became a customer of theirs. They are ALWAYS improving and looking ahead.

Cons

I can't think of anything i truly hate with the app. There are some things available only on the computer and not on the phone app. I wish there were some things that were easily accessible on the phone as we are constantly working out of the office but I have seen the growth in the app and am looking forward to all the new options they will come up with in the future.

Everyone in management has been overall impressed with the app and the admin portion. It has met all our needs and is a decent price for what is offered. The only thing I wish it had was an offline mode.

Pros

Connecteam is super easy to use and working with the support staff has been a breeze. It seems to be fairly priced compared to other options out there. We haven't experienced any issues or bugs yet. Our users have been able to easily access the app on their phone and training them on using the app was easy.

Cons

I wish there was an offline mode, we sometimes have users need to clock in and out where they do not have good reception.

As an admin for my team and someone well versed in various CRM and Project Management softwares, I find Connecteam to be an effective and helpful tool when it comes to general task management and HR systems. The ability to centralize HR documentation and scheduling is very helpful, and the flow for creating and assigning tasks is easy to master. The app is a unique feature, allowing taskers to save priority items that come up while on the go, then go back in to edit and expand on the thought later. While I wish some of the features were more fleshed out (I'd love to see an element of assigning subtasks specific deadlines/owners, and the scheduling feature is more helpful for hourly shift scheduling versus business wide schedule management), I'm very happy with the program thus far, and the minor issues with the program don't overly complicate or interrupt workflows.

Pros

An easy to use resource that covers the more frustrating elements of task management, team management, and HR flows. New features rolled out regularly, bugs addressed quickly, and a strong support team. Effective for smaller teams and companies.

Cons

Still getting fleshed out, the system is more designed for task management and HR functions, so if you're hoping to use it for project or event management, it doesn't have enough features to truly support the more complex functions. The task management system is effective, but the subtask features are basic compared to other task management systems.

Overall, it’s been a great tool for running teams smoothly. It’s not perfect, but it definitely helped us stay organised and keep everyone on the same page. Once it’s set up properly, it saves a lot of time and reduces back-and-forth between managers and staff. Would recommend it for hospitality and retail teams for sure.

Pros

It’s super easy to use. The interface is clean and straightforward, so even new team members picked it up really quickly. We used it at both Jackalope and Black Star, and it made a big difference with things like scheduling, announcements, and tracking tasks. Being able to have everything in one place—chat, rosters, checklists—just made life a lot easier, especially with big teams or multiple venues.

Cons

It can be really slow when you’re trying to load documents, photos, or videos—which is frustrating when you’re trying to get something done quickly. The forms and workflows could also be more flexible; sometimes they felt a bit too basic for what we needed. And the app can send way too many notifications, which staff found a bit much at times.

Overall, connecteam has been very solid but not perfect. If you are looking for an all-in-one service with a lot of options like time clock, time off, scheduling, communication, forms, and more, then it's a great place to start. Minor bugs, crashing, notification errors, and slow communication have happened, but have been few and far between. Overall, a good but not perfect solution!

Pros

Connecteam offers great all-in-one value for smaller businesses and allows us to cover a lot of our bases with a single service instead of looking to learn and upkeep sometimes 4-5 different programs and applications.

Cons

The pricing structure for small teams (specifically 11-15) does not provide an excellent value as the per-seat cost is such a drastic change that their small business plan (- -10 seats) can be pretty challenging to swallow. You pay for a minimum of 30 seats at base, and it does feel like all of that headroom is wasted.

Updating anything on a job shift as admin resets everything including time. Very frustrating. It also sends st least 2 alerts for every shift- new shift and edited shift, even if every detail was provided before shift was published. It should be ONE new shift alert with no edit alert. App calendar needs to start on Sunday, not Monday. when scrolling shift calendar one month at a time, need words, not dots. Also when scrolling by day, need date including month, not by week. Makes it hard to find correct date (it is too easy to be in the wrong month) when scrolling ahead a month or two to quickly check the calendar.

Pros

I can see the work schedule for myself and the team in one place. Like the geo clock in/out as well.

Cons

This is the 3rd time in the couple of years we've used this that I've been asked to review the product. There is an unfortunate lack of listening and implementing changes when users point out very frustrating problem points.

I don't know what my organization is paying for the platform, so it's hard to comment on value. However, there seems to be some good options for implementing additional services, beyond a clock-in/clock-out system.

Pros

It's a pretty robust applications, and we frequently use Time Clock, Forms and Chat features. Surveys are also something we utilize from time to time.

Cons

It's not as intuitive as I would like. As a supervisor, I often need to try several times to find the right spot for making timecard adjustments for employees. Also, the icon on the window tab closely resembles Meta Business Suite, and I often get them confused and open the wrong tab.

I use Connectteam most frequently for Job Scheduling, Chat, and Timeclock. I like the autoclockout feature now offered - makes tracking a lot easier.

Cons

Quick Tasks would be great to use as a project management tool but often lack in what we need. It would be nice if we could assign multiple people to a task - some only as viewers but so they are aware.

Pros

Staff can be added/removed without having to create a whole new chat. You can assign more than one admin.

Cons

It would be nice to have the ability to rename teams without paying for the higher level packages. It would be nice to have a package that included more than 30 team members without having to pay more per person.

So far, it is just ok. This is our first year using Connect team. I do love how user friendly it is, some of the integrations, and communication tools available. But for almost $200/month I do not see the value. If I'm trying to cut costs and save on time & expense, more of those tools (scheduling & time tracking policies & rules) should be included in the cost I'm already paying.

Pros

It is easy to use as an admin and user. Integration with gusto is helpful. Announcements, team & individual communication features are nice.

Cons

Wish the forms templates & setup was more user friendly. It would also be helpful to see some sort of master Team Calendar where we can sync or upload multiple annual, daily, weekly events, holidays, birthdays, etc from an excel or google calendar to a master calendar in connect team that all staff can access & set reminders & notifications days, hours, or weeks before hand (basically like google calendar) Being in the hospitality industry in a downtown area, this would help staff be able to plan for travel, traffic, parking etc for commuting when major events are going on. But my biggest gripe is the price jump in order to use just a couple more features that I would like. Specifically, implementing scheduling rules & policies would double my monthly cost from $172 to $357/month!! This is a crazy jump. There should be an a la carte option to pick or bundle certain features. But really, if we are already paying for the scheduling feature to begin with in my $172 monthly cost, schedule & availability policies should be included in that price. There is no way that is feasible.

So far everything has been very intuitive, the team members I have interacted with have been very friendly and helpful. It has so many more features than our previous app for almost the same cost, and will save the admin team so much time!

How customizable everything is and how responsive the help team are. The staff are all finding it super easy to use and have had no issues.

Cons

It would be nice to be able to click into a clients site and see all schedules assigned to this one location.
