### "Favorite All-In-One Employee Platform"

March 10, 2026

5.0

It's very easy to learn and navigate. I love the job scheduling, group and individual chats, team updates, event invitation with RSVP, time tracking, PTO/Sick day requests - great all in one platform.

Pros

I oversee three locations and I am able to stay connected to all of the team members both individually and as groups.

Cons

The only thing I wish they would update is the job scheduling, it would be nice to select the day you want to go to rather than having to use arrows to go ahead week by week.

### "Communication HUB for the WIN!"

June 8, 2026

5.0

Overall, our experience with Connecteam has been extremely positive. We initially adopted it as a communication tool, but it has evolved into a central operating platform for our team. The combination of messaging, channels, file sharing, announcements, and scheduling has helped keep everyone aligned and accountable. One of the features we use most frequently is photo sharing, which allows team members to document installations, production progress, and completed projects in real time. Customer support has been responsive whenever we have needed assistance, and the system has been reliable with very few bugs or technical issues. The platform is easy for employees to learn, and user access permissions help ensure people see only the information relevant to their role. Connecteam offers a tremendous number of features for the price, and the free plan for smaller teams makes it easy to get started. It has become an important part of our daily operations and continues to provide value as our company grows.

Pros

Connecteam has become the communication hub for our business. What I appreciate most is how accessible it is across devices. I can leave it open on both my phone and computer throughout the day, which allows me to stay connected whether I am in the office, on a job site, or traveling between client meetings. The channel structure is one of its strongest features. We have private one-on-one conversations with employees when needed, but we also maintain operational channels for sales, leads, estimate review, design, production, installation, and general company communication. This keeps information organized and easy to find. The ability to share photos and files directly within conversations is extremely valuable in our industry, where visual communication is often necessary. For a growing business, the free plan for up to 10 users provided tremendous value and allowed us to implement the platform without a large upfront investment.

Cons

While Connecteam does many things exceptionally well, the calendar and scheduling functionality could be improved. The event calendar feels a little clunky compared to the rest of the platform. Making edits often requires several clicks, which can become frustrating when managing multiple jobs or appointments throughout the day. I would also prefer a more traditional monthly calendar view as the default option. The current layout tends to focus on upcoming items, making it less intuitive when trying to review past events or quickly view an entire month's schedule at a glance. Archived jobs and completed events are available, but accessing them takes additional navigation. None of these issues are deal breakers, but they do create extra steps in what is otherwise a very streamlined user experience.

Alternatives considered

[Zoom Workplace](https://www.capterra.com/p/144037/Zoom-Video-Conferencing/)

Reason for choosing Connecteam

We considered Zoom Workplace because we were already familiar with the platform and used Zoom for meetings. However, Connecteam offered a more complete solution for day-to-day business operations. Beyond messaging, it provides dedicated channels for different departments, employee communication tools, scheduling, announcements, file and photo sharing, and operational coordination in one centralized platform. The mobile experience is also excellent, allowing our team to stay connected whether they are in the office, in production, or on a job site. Ultimately, Connecteam provided more functionality, better organization, and greater overall value for the price than the alternatives we evaluated.

Switched from

[Slack](https://www.capterra.com/p/135003/Slack/)

We switched from Slack primarily because of price and functionality. As a small business, we wanted a platform that combined team communication, scheduling, announcements, file sharing, and operational coordination in a single system without requiring multiple subscriptions. Connecteam provided significantly more value for the cost, especially with its free plan for smaller teams. It allowed us to centralize communication across departments while keeping information organized and accessible from both desktop and mobile devices. The combination of affordability and operational features made Connecteam a better fit for our growing business.

### "Poor Support & Advertising Integrations That Don't Work"

April 20, 2026

1.0

I think the system has a lot of cool features; however, if you cannot make them work properly dont advertise them and dont make your customers do the work to fix issues you are ignoring.

Pros

The system is easy to learn for scheduling. Staff seem to like the system and understand it easily. The issues outweigh the positives.

Cons

Customer service has been extremely disappointing. Connecteam advertises an integration with Gusto, which is a key feature we rely on for payroll. Unfortunately, this integration has never worked for us despite following all setup instructions correctly. We opened a support ticket on March 25, 2026, and nearly a month later, the issue remains unresolved. During that time, we have processed three payroll cycles without the integration functioning. As a result, our team has had to manually enter PTO for 61 employees—creating significant, unnecessary administrative work. What’s most frustrating is the lack of meaningful support or communication. We have: Provided detailed explanations, screenshots, and even screen recordings Answered repeated troubleshooting questions Complied with every request from support Yet, we have never received a clear update on what has actually been done to resolve the issue. Instead, each time we ask for a status update, we are asked to complete additional tasks—many of which are repetitive or irrelevant at this stage. It has become evident that little to no real progress is being made on this ticket. The burden of troubleshooting has been placed almost entirely on us as the customer, despite paying for a service that includes this integration. At this point, the lack of resolution and transparency is unacceptable. If a feature is advertised and included in a paid product, it should work—or there should be timely, accountable support to fix it. Due to this experience, we are actively considering moving to another platform.

### "Time saving game changer!"

June 3, 2026

5.0

We are really pleased with the move to Connecteam. When we were trialling the app I was impressed with the presentations and 'How to' guidance videos. I felt supported to get everything set up and rolled out to my team.

Pros

It solves a problem that no other app has been able to solve for me. Working remotely makes it hard to keep track of people. The real time notifications have been fantastic at alerting managers when a team member is late. Staff scheduling is so much easier than the other apps I have used and the time I have to spend maintaining the schedule is greatly reduced. The app is simple to use and customer support has been prompt and has solved any bugs and issues we may have had. I like that you can request new functions and vote on ones suggested by others. It's good value for money and I like how you pay a smaller charge for additional users rather than having to subscribe to the next subscription tier like other platforms.

Cons

Sometimes the AI agent can struggle to understand my questions and will send me round in circles however I can request to speak to a human agent if necessary. I do get irritated when I am asked to rate each and every interaction I have with the AI agent also.

Alternatives considered

Reason for choosing Connecteam

Connecteam has been a reliable tool for managing teams. It's user-friendly, saves time, and makes communication much smoother.

Connecteam is an essential tool for my daily operations at Gigawatt.ai. It seamlessly bridges the gap between the office and the field by delivering complete visibility over team activities.

Pros

The custom forms builder and GPS location tracking save us substantial time during on-site client audits.

Cons

the desktop administrative interface could be simplified, as certain advanced settings are buried in sub-menus. we noticed minor lag when exporting large volumes of time-tracking data into our payroll software.

I have been using for about 6 months and have been very happy with the experiance. Easy to get answers but I do wish I could speak with a live person at times.

Pros

This program is wonderful for a small business. Very easy to use and seems to do most of what we needed. I love that it shows the clocked in people and if they have been late right up front.

Cons

Doesn't stop people from requesting time off if the day is not availible. I would love to have live person to speak with when there is a problem.

Overall, we really like this software. Reports are good. Once we had it set up, our employees find it easy to use.

Pros

The GPS tracker works well to know where our employees are and to be able to reroute them if necessary.

Cons

### "Overall easy to use and customisable "

May 21, 2026

4.0

My overall experience with Connecteam has been very positive. The platform made it much easier to manage scheduling, track employee hours, and communicate with team members in one centralized place. I found the interface clean and relatively easy to navigate, which helped reduce the learning curve for staff members. The mobile app was especially useful for employees working remotely or in the field, allowing them to stay updated and connected at all times. I also appreciated the customization options, which made it possible to tailor workflows and features to suit different business needs. Although some advanced features require higher-tier plans and setup can take time initially, the software overall improved organization, accountability, and day-to-day efficiency within the team.

Pros

What I liked most about Connecteam was how easy it made managing teams and daily operations in one place. The app is very user-friendly, even for employees who are not highly tech-savvy, which made onboarding quick and simple. I especially appreciated the scheduling and time-tracking features because they reduced paperwork, improved accountability, and saved a lot of time compared to manual processes. The communication tools were also extremely useful, allowing instant updates, announcements, and messaging between staff members without relying on separate apps. Another major advantage was the mobile accessibility, which made it convenient for both managers and employees to stay connected while working remotely or in the field. Overall, Connecteam helped improve organization, communication, and efficiency across the team.

Cons

One thing I liked least about Connecteam was that some features can feel overwhelming at first because there are so many tools and customization options available. While the platform is powerful, it can take time to fully learn how to use everything efficiently, especially for new users or smaller teams that only need basic functions. I also found that certain advanced features and integrations are locked behind higher-priced plans, which may not suit businesses with limited budgets. Occasionally, notifications could become excessive or difficult to manage, leading to information overload. In some situations, the mobile app could also experience minor lag or syncing delays. Despite these issues, the platform still provides strong overall functionality and value for team management.

### "Quality and value"

April 28, 2026

5.0

Overall, I would recommend Connecteam to any small to medium organization; it will help you grow in efficiency and provide the highest quality HR tools for the price, hands down. And now is the time to join, because we are getting new features at our current pricing, and with as much as they are adding, the price will have to go up.

Pros

My favorite thing about Connecteam is the spectrum of services! However, High-quality time-tracking, scheduling, and onboarding tools are the key specific draws for us. There is no question that Connecteam offers the best value for the price. The most unique thing I love about Connecteam is the fact that they publish user feedback and how they are using that information to prioritize their R&D and add new functions to their software. It's innovative and transparent.

Cons

Sometimes, the fact that Connecteam is sold in modules (operations, HR&skills, and communications) hampers how the apps within those modules interact with each other. Connecteam is trying to address this with integrations, but it's still a little bumpy sometimes. Also, sometimes the features that are locked or accessible at various pay tiers don't make sense to me, but I'm sure there's internal data that bears that out.

### "Positive first six months with Connecteam"

March 26, 2026

5.0

Introducing Connecteam has streamlined our scheduling in a big way and improved productivity and communication. We had been using Slack but were still scheduling by hand. Connecteam has saved us time and empowered other managers to create monthly schedules ahead of time and to do so quickly.

Pros

Easy to use, increased efficiency in scheduling, great UI. Connecteam has streamlined our scheduling process and cultivated better communication with our team. When we struggle to get information disseminated among our staff we start by asking "How can we use Connecteam to help us through this?" and find a solution quickly.

Cons

I wish I could dial in notifications a little more, especially for group chats vs. messages directly to me. I've turned off notifications for scheduling but still find that I get a lot more notifications than I need to be receiving--and I'm the general manager, so I usually need to be in the know. I also wish there was a way to increase the urgency of a shift that is open and needs to be filled and communicate that to staff without necessarily filling up our chat.

Switched from

### "Connecteam For Veterinary"

March 23, 2026

5.0

Overall, my experience with Connecteam has been positive. The platform delivers a strong, user-friendly mobile and web experience for frontline teams, making scheduling, time tracking, and team communication simple and reliable. Built-in checklists, forms, and task management helped streamline daily operations and compliance, and the affordable pricing made it a good fit for small-to-mid sized businesses.

Pros

Intuitive, easy-to-use mobile and web interface that staff adopt quickly. Robust scheduling with drag-and-drop, shift swapping, and notifications that reduce no-shows. Built-in time tracking and payroll export that streamlines attendance and payroll processes. Centralized team communication (feed, chat, announcements) that replaces scattered emails and texts. Customizable checklists, forms, and workflows for compliance, training, and daily operations. Task management and KPI tracking that keep teams accountable and measurable. Offline functionality and reliable mobile app for frontline workers on the go. Affordable pricing and clear feature tiers that fit small-to-mid sized businesses. Responsive customer support and helpful onboarding resources.

Cons

Limited advanced reporting and analytics compared with dedicated BI tools. Some features lack deep customization (e.g., reports, certain forms/workflows). Admin interface can feel cluttered and has a learning curve for complex setups. Occasional mobile notification delays or inconsistencies for frontline users.

### "Initial Review"

April 23, 2026

4.0

Pros

Connecteam offers a solid solution for time tracking and employee location management, especially for teams working remotely or in the field. The time clock feature is easy to use, allowing employees to clock in and out directly from their mobile devices, which helps reduce time theft and manual errors. The GPS tracking adds an extra layer of accountability by showing real-time employee locations during shifts, which is particularly useful for managers overseeing distributed teams. However, some users may find the location tracking a bit intrusive if not communicated properly. Overall, it’s a reliable platform that improves workforce transparency and operational efficiency.

Cons

One of the main drawbacks I experienced with Connecteam was its integration with Sage 100 Contractor. The connection between the two systems felt limited and not as seamless as expected, often requiring manual adjustments or extra steps to ensure data synced correctly. This created inefficiencies, especially when trying to streamline payroll or job costing processes. At times, discrepancies between the platforms meant double-checking entries, which defeated the purpose of having an integrated system in the first place. Improving this integration would significantly enhance the overall user experience.

Overall Connecteam has been great in making day to day operations of the business easier and more streamlined. There is a lot at our fingertips and integrates what was multiple systems into one.

Pros

I like the multiple features to be able to help manage employees and business. I find it easy to use with the scheduling and love the options to send posts about employee accomplishments. I like the easy to search tool to help employees find SOPs or the handbook quickly. The check list option has been a life saving tool for our business.

May 21, 2026

5.0

I'm very happy to have switched to Connecteam. I believe it is great value for the money we spent and look forward to filling it up with all the things its capable of!

Pros

Communication with my team, a place to hold necessary documentation, and time tracking were my biggest needs when I started searching for our next employee app. Connecteam checked all those boxes and more! Their customer support while onboarding and even now several months later has been top-notch. My team - a mix of shop guys and office professionals - have all adapted well due to the ease of use.

Cons

There are a few changes to features that I would appreciate - just some odds and ends that make a lot of sense for how we use our employee app. There are occassional bugs with the time clock that cause me to have to make corrections to timesheets, but they are short-lived issues and corrections is so much easier than our previous solution.

### "Great system for streamline your business "

December 30, 2025

4.0

Overall I’m very pleased with how the system operates and have had a wonderful setup and transition team. I would definitely recommend it to anyone needing similar software for their business. I do, however, think the pricing and tiered structure make it more cumbersome than it needs to be. While there is a certain amount of “ala carte” selection and modification to the system to suit your needs, it can feel daunting and exclusionary for those needing various options.

Pros

I like how all facets are one one system. Time tracking, payroll, reports, learning, a communications are the key components to our business. The various facets have streamlined our business and made scheduling much easier and rescued the amount of time needed for scheduling drastically.

Cons

There are a few design elements and quirks to the system that I feel could be improved. Slider and navigation bars could be bigger, they are hard to get a hold of. Some buttons (like a save button) are covered from the AI assistant. Some features are not available in the tiered pricing, and I believe that if you have a good product, your shouldn’t need to parcel out sections of it as an “upgraded” feature when it’s a simple tool that helps improve business and performance. By making price tiers, you’re artificially creating demand that should already be included in a finished product. It’s a way to upsell a customer that can over complicate the product for their needs, or keep important items out of reach for the customer that needs them.

[The Report Management System](https://www.capterra.com/p/149947/The-Report-Management-System/)[Belfry](https://www.capterra.com/p/10019717/Belfry/)

Reason for choosing Connecteam

Belfry reps never made contact, THERMS was a nice product but too advanced for some of our personnel and more inclined for public safety services.

Switched from

[GuardsPro](https://www.capterra.com/p/163920/Guardso/)[Homebase](https://www.capterra.com/p/153076/Homebase/)

Neither of the two systems had all the features we needed to grow and improve workflow. Homebase was good for timekeeping but that was it. GuardsPro was a means to an end, but it was cumbersome and not as user friendly or customizable as CT

### "Helpful for Job Costing, But Has a Learning Curve"

June 1, 2026

5.0

Our overall experience with Connecteam has been positive but with a learning curve. The platform has been helpful for tracking employee time by specific jobs, which has improved our job costing accuracy. The geo-tracking feature has also been useful for monitoring field crews while they’re clocked in. However, the platform is not as intuitive as we had hoped. It took us quite a bit of time to learn where everything is located, particularly when setting up job sites. Once everything is properly set up, Connecteam works well for what we need. It’s a solid option for small to mid-sized construction companies that want better job costing and time tracking, but be prepared to invest some time upfront getting everything configured.

Pros

The biggest benefit for us has been the ability to track employee time by specific job. Being able to assign time to individual jobs has made job costing much easier and more accurate. The geo-tracking feature is also helpful, as it lets us see where our crews are when they’re clocked in. The mobile app is straightforward for our field team to use, and they’ve had very little trouble clocking in and out.

Cons

The main drawback is that the platform isn’t very intuitive. It can be difficult to find where things are located, and the navigation feels clunky at times.

### "Excellent Employee Scheduling App with Powerful Features for Medium-Sized Teams"

April 24, 2026

4.0

Overall, my experience with Connecteam has been positive. It offers strong value for money because it combines scheduling, time tracking, communication, and onboarding in one app. Customer support has been helpful when needed, and once you get used to the layout, it becomes much easier to use. It’s especially great for medium-sized companies that need better organization and employee management

Pros

Connecteam has a lot of useful features all in one place. I like the clock in/clock out tools, reminders, time off requests, and location tracking. It also helps with employee onboarding and keeping track of schedules, times, and important dates. It’s a great solution for managing staff efficiently.

Cons

The platform can be a little difficult to navigate at first because there are so many features and options. It takes some time to learn where everything is.

### "Easy to use"

March 2, 2026

5.0

Overall, our experience with Connecteam has been very positive. The platform is easy to use, well laid out, and simple for both managers and team members to navigate. We have only recently launched it within our organisation, but we are already seeing the benefits. It is helping to create more efficiency in the way our team communicates, accesses information, and completes tasks. Having everything in one place makes it much easier for staff to stay informed and organised. The mobile accessibility is also a big advantage for our team. So far, we are very happy with the product and look forward to continuing to use it.

Pros

What I liked most about Connecteam is how easy it is to use, both from an administrator and employee perspective. The platform is very intuitive, which makes it simple to set up and manage without needing a lot of technical knowledge. One of the standout features is the ability to easily build education and training directly into the system. This makes it convenient to share important information, policies, and learning modules with staff in one central place. Employees can access training, updates, and resources from their phones, which is particularly helpful for teams that are not always desk-based. I also appreciate how everything is organised in one platform, including communication, updates, and learning materials. This helps ensure staff stay informed and engaged, while also making it easier for managers to track completion and participation in training. Overall, Connecteam provides a practical and user-friendly way to support staff communication, education, and ongoing professional development.

Cons

One of the things we liked least about Connecteam was the training experience during implementation. The training sessions could have been improved, as the trainer moved through the material quite quickly and tended to jump between different sections of the platform rather than following a clear, step-by-step structure. This made it difficult for some members of our team to follow along and fully understand how to use the system effectively. As a result, there was some confusion about certain features and how to set them up correctly. To ensure everyone felt confident using the platform, we ended up revisiting the system ourselves and running additional internal training sessions for our team to clarify the key functions and processes.

### "Reliable time tracking and useful reporting"

April 8, 2026

5.0

My overall experience with Connecteam has been very positive. It is a practical and reliable tool for managing employees, especially when teams work in different locations. The GPS-based clock-in gives extra confidence that attendance is accurate, and the downloadable reports make administration much easier. The platform helps organize daily work, improve visibility, and reduce manual follow-up. Although there is a small learning curve in the beginning, once everything is set up, it becomes a very useful solution for team management.

Pros

What I liked most about Connecteam is the location-based clock-in feature. It gives much better control over attendance and helps verify that employees have actually arrived at the correct work site. This is especially useful for teams working in different locations. I also really like how easy it is to download reports. The reporting is clear, practical, and saves time when checking hours, attendance, and workforce activity. Overall, the app is simple to use, convenient for daily operations, and helpful for managing mobile teams.

Cons

One thing I liked least is that some parts of the system can feel a bit overwhelming at first, especially when setting up different features and permissions. It takes some time to fully understand all the options.

### "Great Application to Use"

February 2, 2026

5.0

Overall, my experience with Connecteam has been positive. It’s an easy-to-use, reliable tool for time tracking and team management, especially for small businesses. The mobile-first design makes it convenient for employees, and it helps streamline daily operations, though some advanced features are limited on the free plan.

Pros

Very easy to use – The app is intuitive for both managers and employees, even for non-tech-savvy staff. Great time tracking – Clock-in/clock-out is simple, accurate, and works well on mobile, which is perfect for small teams. Free plan is actually useful – Unlike many tools, the free version offers enough features to run a small business without feeling crippled. All-in-one platform – Time tracking, scheduling, communication, and task management in one place reduces the need for multiple apps. Mobile-first design – Employees can easily use it on their phones without extra hardware. Improves accountability – Clear records and visibility help reduce time disputes and keep everyone aligned. Quick setup – You can get a team up and running fast without a steep learning curve. Good value for small businesses – Saves time on admin work and helps streamline daily operations.

Cons

Limited features on the free plan – Some advanced tools require upgrading to a paid plan. Customization can be restrictive – Certain workflows or reports can’t be tailored as much as some businesses might want.
