Overall, Shop-Ware has been a big learning curb for us, but I think it is working out for the better.

Pros

This software really moves things into the \*future.\* You are able to, essentially, go paperless if you would like to. Being able to share estimates with customer's so that they can look at what you're looking at while going over it with them is a big plus. Customers really like that we have the ability to attach pictures.

Cons

The back office portion of this software could use a HUGE upgrade. It is lacking big time.

We currently struggle with some of the inventory processes of SW because we don't keep inventory stocked. We also have intermittent issues with the connection to Worldpac, which is our main supplier. We do not currently use PartTech because the WP link is so much more user friendly and faster and they are our primary vendor.

Pros

It has thoroughly considered every aspect of use for the customer and made it as all-encompassing as possible to include any customer scenario, parts ordering sync and customer communication.

Cons

There are so many extensive features, some that are fairly involved, a more extensive and thorough standard training would be welcomed to be more familiar with all the different processes and scenarios involved before using the program.

We liked SW because of its extensive capabilities with workflow, customer communication and organization.

One of the best things I’ve done for my business. Instead of dealing with stacks of paper, I feel very Professional. My clients are impressed and that gives them even more confidence in using my services.

Pros

Being able to seamlessly communicate with my clients, including photos, all on one platform.

Cons

Learning to navigate through some features took some effort in the beginning. However, that’s probably more me and my lack of computer skills than Shop-Ware.

RO writing and parts ordering. Cloud based system, access from anywhere.

Cons

In the beginning, how to use was limited. Now however, more information available. Difficult to link to QuickBooks through a cloud connection, so far, I have not done this. The cost may be prohibitive.

Very positive, prompt response, very considerate of our requests, has allowed us to scale to three stores and will help us get to our goal of eight

Cloud based, real-time, has multi-shop interface, good reporting, learns and adapts as the month progresses, integrates with QB, supported by Bosch

Cons

Still some features that need to be added, does not break down tires and upgrade parts (yet), can't see totals for each RO on the open work screen (yet)

Pros

Being able to send photos to the customer adds transparency and increases RO. It shows we are trying to fix your car not just pad our wallets.

Cons

Being web based you need to make sure that you have good WFI and internet. Also good tablets with flashes

I love using Shopware. I no longer use a pen at all. It makes my job easier.

Pros

I love being able to clearly communicate with the customer the process from start to finish. Pictures, videos or imported files from diagnostic equipment promote full transparency. Our customers love it.

Cons

A peer to peer messaging system would be a great feature to allow communication amongst other users would be great. We currently use another app for that which is not a big deal.

Shop-ware has grown into a feature packed full blown shop management system. As one of the early adopters our shop has seen the progress and how fast the development team has been adding features. Looking forward to the future and what more comes.

Pros

Web-based so we no longer need a server on site. Built in estimating, integration with quickbooks, dispatching and workflow management, full featured shop management software. Customers love being able to approve work online without phone tag.

Cons

Like anything, occasionally there are hiccups or short periods of updating or server issues. However if there is an issue, they are super responsive and handle it as fast as humanly possible.

Ease of sharing the digital inspections with our customers

Cons

The scheduler is a bit weird for the day to day. Veru hard to print out the work JUST for that day without backtracking. More set up for the "clear everyday" type shop vs "waiting on parts" or "this just turned into a 2 day project" type shops. The month view looks great.

I have always wanted the features ShopWare provides but could never find it in another product. This software puts me heads and shoulders above my competitors and allows me the flexability to manage my shop the way I want too. Kudos to ShopWare for setting the bar for SMS!

Pros

Upload pic, vids, TSB's, recalls, test results, you name it! PAPERLESS!!!!! Now there is a savings... Printer supplies, paper, Ink... Need I say more?

Cons

If you have to print an invoice (usually once a week or so) it may winde up being multiple pages.

This program made it a lot easier for a non-mechanical person to be able to write service with their estimating tab. It increased our bottom line because of the optimization for parts profit.

I've been in this industry for 9+ years and Shop-Ware is by far the Easiest most efficient shop management software i have ever used 10/10

Pros

I love the fact that you can build an estimate using this software in minimal time. Weather it be an Engine oil change or a extensive very detailed repair. Customers love the interaction via Cell phones, or email, we get a ton of feed back stating how cool it is to be able to see pictures, read tech notes and simply approve and decline repairs.

Cons

Sometimes not all the features work the way they should. ( vin decoding, parts tech...)

Ease of use and intuitive, just like what it is, using an interactive web page.

Cons

Having no option at present for a "counter ticket" (ie. for parts only with no vehicle or technician attached), or no work being performed on a vehicle but only selling parts to a customer like wiper blades or a quart of oil.

Easy. Simple.

Pros

Everything. It's easy to use. Easy to train. Easy for the customer. Evolving.

Cons

The 1 and only thing I don't like right now is the RO numbers are sequential. We were using Auto Fluent before and it was kinda nice to have every invoice sequential. The quotes had their own number until they were converted to a RO.. but that's it. Other than that everything else seems great.
