Easy. Simple.

Pros

Everything. It's easy to use. Easy to train. Easy for the customer. Evolving.

Cons

The 1 and only thing I don't like right now is the RO numbers are sequential. We were using Auto Fluent before and it was kinda nice to have every invoice sequential. The quotes had their own number until they were converted to a RO.. but that's it. Other than that everything else seems great.

Really love the availability to communicate with the customer through the system in multiple avenues. The log is a fantastic tool to refer back to as well.

Pros

The software is very easy to navigate and helps streamline the estimating process for repairs. The ability to post pictures and descriptions of everything is very helpful for the customers in their decision making process. I also like the ability to share a repair order with a customer via text/email and that they can approve or decline recommendations right from their own device.

Cons

I wish we could decode a vin on older vehicles instead of manually entering them by year/make/model.

After using Shop-Ware for two years, I find it very easy to keep track of my work. Since it is cloud based, I have access to it everywhere I go, whether I am using a PC, or a cell phone, its always with me.

Pros

The Shop-Ware software is very easy to use. It is also great for managing my business with its great reports.

Cons

At times, the parts optimizer doesn't work properly.

Overall it has been a very good experience.

Pros

Coming from another system, it took a little getting used to but the team was very helpful in getting us up and running and used to doing it the Shop-Ware way. Updates are constantly being made. Ease of getting estimate with photos to customer.

Cons

Paying the techs flat rate is a little clunky to use

The architecture and implementation of the software is state of the art, cloud based technology, the feature's and flow of the system are designed by real shop managers and business owners, the product is stable, the support is top notch. We found nothing else that even comes close. It transformed our workflow in a matter of days. We produce more revenue and have higher customer satisfaction because of Shop-Ware.

It streamlines all operations and saves me time. In an industry where efficiency is of the utmost importance, that is a valuable asset. If it saves me even 10-15 mins a day it pays for itself, and it definitely does that.

Pros

Shop-Ware integrates everything I need for managing appointments, performing inspections, writing estimates, ordering parts, and communicating with customers in one package. Particularly happy that it has built in digital inspection capability, allowing me to avoid third-party add-ons at additional cost.

Cons

This software allows me to operate totally paperless, but if customers do want a paper invoice it automatically prints any notes and pictures that are attached to the work order which results in more printing than totally necessary. I'm sure I could choose to omit these manually, but I never remember.

Pros

Ease of use, functionality, we are able to create masterpieces and present that to the client. There is no loss of information between the technician and the SA. All information collected is on the repair order and it looks phenomenal. Parts management is pretty awesome, I know if I have a part in stock for the next few days appointments and when I need to make a stock order all I do is make a couple of clicks and BAM I am done. This tool is saving time, we are able to get more done. It is fun for the team to use the software. Its cloud based which opens up doors that have always been locked. It is fun, we pass the ball--its kinda like a game.

Cons

There is still some reporting they need to incorporate which they are but its in Beta, from what I hear its phenomenal. That is a complaint from my controller/bookkeeper, if you asked me I have no complaints, so looking forward to watching this product grow.

Best decision/investment in shop software we have made -- I have seriously never dealt with any organization that has had this high a level of customer service!!

Pros

I was able to with very little training. Jump right in and start running the shop with it. Seriously anyone with basic computer skills can get on and write a estimate and invoice it.

Cons

If i have to put a con it would be the parts ordering system. (parts tech) It's not terrible but defiantly has bugs.

I come from an automotive service background and have worked with Yes by Pace, ADP/CDK, and Reynolds. When I started working at this shop, they were still on paper and had been planning to utilize Shop-Ware but had not had the time to set it up. I had Shop-Ware up and running and was writing repair orders on literally my second day of employment. Shop-Ware has been extremely easy to adapt to and new employees have had no issues with their learning curves as well. We're very happy to have chosen Shop-Ware, and I would recommend it to any facility!

Pros

Shop-Ware is user friendly and easy to customize. Support has been terrific as well.

Cons

There are a few small functions I would like that don't exist yet, but Shop-Ware is undergoing constant tweaks so I know they may still be coming.

Pros

What I like about it is that communication with customers and the ability to text an estimate. We have found that customers view the invoice so much quicker and approve or decline the work faster which helps the flow of the shop. Being internet based system makes it nice also, with a laptop or smartphone I can work anywhere any the shop.

Cons

Our biggest problem with the software is the fact that you can not change labor dollars without changing labor times. The second biggest problem is only showing one phone number on screen.

Ease of work flow, sharing the job immediately to the Service Manager. Vehicle VIN information readily available.

Pros

Integration was complicated as far as the accounting side of the system. It is nice to be able to type in the license plate and have the VIN number come up. It is nice to know which tech is working on the car at a single glance and if they are waiting on parts etc.

Cons

Sorting of Accounts Receivable is by day not company. Not very useful, time wasted searching.

The whole fact that it is cloud based is just about perfect. I can access it anywhere in the shop from my phone or my tablet.

Cons

On a tablet the site can be a little bulky and hard to input information.
