The way the data is stored. It’s unquestionable when brought forth in arbitration or mediation. Pros Did the designers creators behind it kept it for a lack of better words, looking rudimentary, like however, the functionality and what it produces is far from rudimentary very easy to maneuver. Cons I can’t really say there’s anything I dislike about raking. With all of the new functions. Any integration with more programs nothing bad to say. Controller Office Manager Computer Networking Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Won’t Allow Custom Changes & No ADP API" May 23, 2025 3.0 Overall Raken’s a good app but Raken will not customize the app to individual client’s needs. Whatever the canned app has or doesn’t have will have to do because Raken will not cater to individual client’s needs. It’s a disappointment and for Raken to try and fit their app to everyone’s needs is extremely short minded. Also, there are instances where Raken made a significant change to the app & didn’t notify their clients prior to change. We had to pivot quickly and get everyone trained on the change that came without notification. I understand the app needs to maintain quality assurance and altering the app is difficult. If Raken will add ADP API, Ad Hoc reporting and some minor app customizations my rating would go from 3 stars to a full 5 star rating. Pros Timecards, but needs API for ADP Integration. ADP is one of the popular payroll systems but we have to manually enter time into ADP and it’s a major pain. We previously used ADP’s Time Tracking but wanted more flexible and accurate reporting. With Raken we lost automatic feed to payroll and Raken Reporting isn’t that much better than ADP. For now, we’re staying with Raken but as we grow, we’re not feeling confident Raken will grow with us. Cons No API for ADP, reporting is lacking & doesn’t have Ad Hoc reporting capability. Raken doesn’t cater to individual client’s needs. You get the canned app, canned reporting and that’s it, regardless of client’s unique needs. The reporting for our jobsite was easy to read and simple to convey in a quick meeting. This allowed for my updates on that site to be seamless, up to date, and added with daily pictures it kept things concise in meetings. Pros I used Raken as a General contractor so I tracked reporting from our subcontractor who utilized the app. The amount of information and communication a single pdf could provide was incredible. The features they used kept me in the loop and allowed for update meetings to run efficiently. Cons I didn't experience any cons as the GC who used their reports. Cons i’d like to have a section just to put my contracts with my subcontractors on there and their contact information without the need to add their email. Some projects or job specific and it’s nice to be able to quickly. Just click a button to get information. Cons One area for improvement would be mobile access for administrative tasks. For example, adding a new employee requires switching to a desktop, which can be inconvenient in the field. I liked that they let us take a week for a demo as well. Cons Limitations on file size that can be loaded in documents. Otherwise, I hope the product will continue to evolve. Pros The simplicity of it for guys to use that are not tech savvy. It is very user friendly and no hassle for guys in the field to quickly jump on and complete their daily log. Cons There's not much about the app that we don't like, however, we would not complain about a cheaper cost. She’s been patient in teaching us about Raken when we didn’t know anything. Pros We liked the fact that we can log and track employee hours, attach files, pics to each work order. The questionnaire feature is good to to complete daily checklists. Cons We are new to Raken, so we don’t have much to compare yet. We haven’t used it much as of yet. I would say there is nothing that I like the least about Raken at this time. Pros The dashboard feature allows me to see what is going on with all of our projects. It is a great tool to communicate information across all levels of our team. Reporting and quality control features are helpful Cons The integration is not as complete as we had hoped with our job costing system. Pros I love that their system is constantly being upgraded to give more power to their customers. Cons My least favorite part of raken, is the delay between mobile and PC platforms.
