CEO Construction Used the software for: I used a free trial ### "Great idea but missing some key features" January 22, 2019 4.0 Pros Easy to use and take photos for daily construction reports. App works well and didn't crash on me. Unlimited photo storage as well as nice PDF output if needed. Cons I really wanted to like this software. Unfortunately it is missing some key features that I needed. You are not able to customize the reports enough for our use. Most importantly you are not able to make some fields required. I need to know YES or NO if a safety walk has been completed that day. The pricing is also way too high for a daily reporting app. Customer Service was very good and they seem to really care but they are missing some basic features. Cons They is not a section for Overtime hours. Sometimes I want to pull 1 employees hours for all jobs for the week and that is not an option. This app has this ability more than any other app I’ve seen. Pros I have the ability to give it to field foreman for site documentation and they are able to keep jobs on track. Autofills previously used contractors to save time. The built in picture attachments makes it easy for those in the office to see progress. Superintendents enter all information and pictures, which keeps me up to date and current when dealing with clients and tracking the schedule. Pros Simple Interface, focused functionality makes it simple. Great to help keep record of conversations with subs and document safety concerns. Cons not really any cons. Cons We currently use a all in one project management software that has this option included so we have no use for a stand alone. " March 24, 2017 5.0 As a Superintendent for a commercial construction company, it is hard to find time to sit down and fill out your log book. Let alone track down pictures and organize them so they relate to that day. Good luck gathering this information in a timely manner! Then I ran across Raken. Didn't know anything about it but seemed worth the try. Did the 15 day trial, they even let me try it for longer. Then I introduced it to my superiors and now we use it company wide. Even the old timers can run it! Convenience is probably the best part about it. For example, if someone asks me in a meeting what I did on a certain day. I don't have to sit there and think. I just open Raken, go to the date, and boom, there it is. Another example, you can assign tasks to people on the team and give them due dates. And it stays open until that person says it is complete. This helps to keep people organized and you can hold people accountable. I can go on and on about Raken. They continue to adapt and make it easier to keep the entire team involved. Shoot, as a General Contractor, Raken lets subcontractors use it under us and it compiles their log with ours and makes one nice daily, weekly or even a monthly report. AWESOME!
