Pros: This is a very low-cost solution for self-service payroll. It allows you to pay your Employees and Contractors and handles virtually all of the taxes and processing of payments to the taxing authorities. The interface is extremely intuitive. Employees are emailed all end of year documents automatically. The company also offers access to two-day payroll processing.

Cons: The customer services has gone downhill. The firm is trying to be a higher margin HR platform and benefits provider. Additionally, it has begun to focus more on marketing (commercials) than on the system itself. There was a turning point when the firm produced a commercial with a popular actress and the hold times went up exponentially and the "chat available" times decreased. There was a Intuit integration issue that seems to have finally been solved. Additionally, the firm has the same problem with missed payments and 941 misfilings that other full-service platforms have, however the customer service is lacking and resolutions take forever. The platform also can not handle an employee working in two states (more common in the North East). The cost for paying contractors is too high which limits the usefulness of the system overall - forcing a company to keep Employee Payroll, Contractor Payments, and expense reimbursements on separate systems.

Overall: This system wins on cost and that is about it. It is a very low priced alternative to the full-service shops, which are extremely overpriced for what has become a very automated technology focused service. It comes relatively highly recommended simply because of this.

Pros: Easy to use. Clear, concise interface. Pricing is reasonable. They make it really easy to open a 401k account for your team even if you're a super small company. Support has usually answered within 24-48 hours. Phone support is available. Integrates relatively easily with accounting software by mapping accounts and exporting as special files.

Cons: Really, only three minor complaints: I miss their old name, ZenPayroll. Gusto just doesn't explain them like ZenPayroll did. Payroll truly is easy with them. Gusto is literally defined as "the enjoyment or vigor in doing something; zest"-the direct opposite of Zen. That's a total reversal that doesn't make sense.

Also, deposits into employee accounts show up as Gusto rather than our company.

Finally, accounting integration is dependent on downloading files and then importing. I would really like to see direct integration with the major accounting platforms like Quickbooks and Xero.

I know, I'm nitpicking in both cases, but I had to think of something...

Overall: I would highly recommend them. Their site is so easy to use compared to other payroll companies (especially ADP). The people are nice and the price is great for all the things you get. They're more than just a payroll company.

Pros: It's SIMPLE!!! One of few products/software I unequivocally love! Most every business owner hates doing tedious accounting, payroll and HR work that takes away valuable time from their being able to work on what's most important, their business. Gusto takes care of Federal tax payments, calculations, payroll setup, and a number of other things that are a black hole to me and makes it all feel manageable. If I want to add a new employee, I just click to set up a new employee and Gusto walks you and the employee step by step through everything that needs to be done. And for far cheaper than paying an accounting firm!

I also love their playfulness and marketing. They make using their service truly a pleasure to use at every touchpoint.

Cons: I can't say this about many software that I use, but I have loved absolutely everything about Gusto. I can't say enough about it. Maybe my only complaint is that they don't take care of legal and other stuff I really dislike doing.

Overall: 1- Saves the headache of having no idea where to start with many accounting and HR functions of your business: No business owner actually enjoys worrying about all of those things. Gusto takes many of the functions that are most confusing/frustrating as a business owner and does them for you so you feel confidence that you aren't missing anything and it's done right.

2- Saves time: It automates many of the functions that shouldn't ever be done manually. And because of that I don't have to do as much or I don't have to pay as much for routine services that don't add value to my business.

3- Saves money: As a startup, you feel like you need to figure out a lot of things a normal business would normally just pay for because you can't afford it. Gusto is affordable enough that it's doable for a young company all while doing enough work that it's easy to justify the cost, which many services fail to do.

Pros: I am a bookkeeper, but I hate payroll. Hate it! It's confusing, and there are a lot of regulations, and a lot of paperwork. Gusto's online system makes it more clear than any other system I've seen, and in fact, sometimes I use it to clean up messes that other payroll services have made. I haven't seen any errors yet for my clients, and when I call about something, I've always gotten a good and useful answer. Also handy to include contractor payments for small consulting firms. Employees and contractors like the online access to pay stubs and so on.

Cons: Some things are a little inflexible, due to it being a piece of software rather than a service. So, for example, you can't tell it to add $100 to someone's paycheck once a month for a transportation allowance. Rather, you have to do $50 each paycheck. This works fine if you do payroll monthly or bi-monthly, but if you're on a 2-week system, you end up adding it manually each time. Anyway, just a few issues like that. I think their contractor system is limited and a bit expensive - I would love to add a way to be clearer about invoice numbers and other memo/description issues.

Recommendations to other buyers: When recommending a payroll service, I look at cost-per-employee, size of company, availability of someone relatively knowledgable to manage payroll in the company (or me if that's what the client wants). I think Gusto is great for small companies with just a few employees and a few contractors. I would highly recommend it for household services (babysitters, cleaners, etc) and for consultants. It's not a highly hand-on service (self-serve) so if you need lots of assistance or don't want to bother yourself with payroll maintenance, it might not be for you.

Comments: This is my go-to solution for any client whose payroll we are involved with. We use it ourselves and highly recommend to small businesses. If you go through your accountant there is a discount on the subscription price. The subscription can be paid by the client or the accountant.

Pros: This is a cloud based solution with a subscription price that is less than the big payroll companies. I like that you can have employees "onboard" themselves by filling in their personal information and bank information for direct deposit. This increases accuracy and preserves the employee security. I also like that the business HAS to have the payroll tax payments withdrawn with the payroll submission thus enforcing compliance. Gusto does all the Payroll Tax Return fillings, you can log in and get them. There is no need to print or deliver paychecks, which saves money and time - employees can get their stubs and W-2 by download. It integrates with your accounting software for automated recording, another time saver that increases accuracy. Support is excellent, and they deal with any notices resulting from transactions on their watch. If payroll is the same each time you can set to autopay!

Cons: Some of my clients would like Gusto to submit garnishments or retirement payments, but that is not something they do.

Awesome payroll support for small businesses.

Pros: Gusto is a perfect and easy to use payroll portal both for employer & employees. It has a self on boarding system, for employers to send new hires their offer letter and paper work through its portal. Employees can easily update their address, direct deposit info, withholding all in one place. Previous month's pay stubs can also be accessed easily. Employees can easily load W2 directly into turbo tax through its website. One can also keep track on the taxes paid. Gusto also offers detailed description and helpful tips of required information to be inputted. Its editing process is also very simple & straightforward when any changes need to be made to employee info or business features.

Cons: Gusto seems overwhelmed and unprepared for the renewal period. Also there is no invoice function, so contractors cannot submit an invoice and have their managers approve it. A separate system for contractors for invoicing needs to be maintained. Also Direct Deposit should be little faster. Customer service is also not that good.

Pros: We love using Gusto for not only our payroll but they also manage all of our benefits. Gusto managing our benefits has been such a life saver! I don't have to think about being in compliance anymore I know that they are keeping everything up to date. I get reminders when it's time to run payroll, when new employees need to sign up for benefits and when we need to renew our benefits.

Cons: Gusto has wonderful customer support the only downside for me is that when you call in you are always talking to a new person, sometimes that can make it a little challenging to efficiently get the answer or help I'm looking for, but they will help until the job is done!

Overall: Gusto saves me so much time and worry. I know that our benefits are managed correctly and that we are always in compliance. I also know that everything on the payroll side is taken care of and if there is an issue or mistake the super amazing customer support team is ready to help!

Pros: Support. They see every issue through as if you're the most important or the only client. They're thorough and they tolerate you if you're on a learning curve (we're an Australian business setting up our US operations and health etc benefits is a new and unnatural thing for a business to grapple with). The software is flawless and usability is perfect. We run our payroll in a few clicks, and that's because we don't choose autopilot. Used to run benefits thru Zenefits who made a lot of errors, and zenpayroll stepped in without hesitation or complaint and ran every correction. It's complete, not half cooked. It's how software and support should be done.

Cons: We are a global business, and things are done differently in other countries for payroll. For instance, we don't need to go thru the pain and inefficiently of supporting benefits in other countries. Plus there is different legislation and tax setups etc. I wish zenpayroll was configured to support payroll in other countries so companies like ours growing elsewhere could benefit from One-payroll without considering the bigger and clunkier vendors. If you're growing, most likely you're growing globally or planning to. Otherwise it's perfect.

Recommendations to other buyers: You pay for what you get. Free options, even ones with reputations for fast(est) growth, give you poor service and make a lot of errors costing you time and money, and a lot of embarrassment with employees. Zenpayroll on the other hand (although still affordable, not free) will hold your hand thru setup, support you thru every tax question and submission, streamline everything electronically and answer your calls and emails swiftly. Look for genuine, don't be fooled by promises of the marketplace.

Pros: It is so hard to find a simple platform with a clean interface when it comes Payroll but Gusto has achieved that. I have used several different programs and Gusto is by far my favorite because of the ease of use. I also love the email they send on payday that says "Hooray! You got paid today."

Gusto seems to know what the typical employee wants when they log into their payroll application - as soon as you sign in there is a big blue button that says "See your last paystub", super helpful and saves time! You can also easily access your PTO time, year to date statistics on your wages, taxes, net salary, hours worked, and other helpful statistics.

On just a small fun note, their graphics on their website are adorable.

Cons: Honestly I do not have anything that I dislike about this software. It is incredibly simple and reliable.

Pros: Taking care of payroll each month takes literally just seconds. My company is small, so maybe a larger company with a lot more employees might take a little longer. But probably no more than a couple of minutes. Plus, I love how Gusto gives an entire breakdown of what is being paid and to who so you can see exactly how much the employee gets and how much does to his/her taxes, and also how much in payroll taxes the company is paying.

Cons: The monthly price is the same regardless of whether or not you use a lot of the extra benefits and offerings. For example, Gusto offers a way to offer employees 401k benefits or health benefits. It would be nice if there were a slightly less expensive option for micro-businesses that don't necessarily make use of all those benefits.

Overall: Gusto makes payroll incredibly easy, makes integrating with Quickbooks simple, and makes the entire payroll process very transparent. I can add bonuses or commissions to any employee for any payroll period and I get an easy breakdown of where all the money that is drawn out of my business account is going. Any time I've needed help or support Gusto has been fantastic either on the phone, via email or with Live Chat. I don't know how other payroll companies do things but I know that I love Gusto.

Pros: First of all I believe Gusto is more user friendly than any type of Quickbooks related software program. This program will literally keep your payroll organized and on point It actually gives me the exact amount of payroll that I owe every other week which helps me stay on track and eases up some of my frustrations crunching numbers and physically doing it myself. It literally does everything for you once you have the specific information entered, especially filing and organizing your payroll

Cons: It is priced a little bit more than similar programs but that is ok because I know for a fact with everything you ever buy that you will always get what you pay for. You want to be cheap, you get cheap software that you have to replace or winds up being junk, you want to spend a little extra your not paying out the butt later on new software.

Overall: Awesome software for keeping your payroll on point and it also allows employees, contractors etc etc to look at all their past payroll history any time they want. You can handle all kinds of situations with this software including notifications with money deposits, or if you need to turn in a time off notice you could do it through this software,

Pros: I am obsessed with this product and the support staff that comes with it! I have tried Intuit and ADP before finding Gusto. Gusto was a total game changer for me. The software is easy to use and really makes payroll a breeze for those of us who have businesses to run! You can upload a CSV file with that week's hours and any other payments and BOOM- payroll is done. I also like that they give me the exact amount I owe each week for that payroll- no monthly or quarterly surprises to budget for. And I have opted to roll in my workers comp payments as well. SO EASY. They also offer AMAZING onboarding options that mean every time I hire, I only enter a new employee's email address and they do the rest. I then verify that things look ok against their ID, e-sign the i9 and it's back to business for me. Everything looks modern, fresh and fun- and that makes my company look polished and put together! I literally do not know how we managed while using the other companies. We love Gusto!!!!

Cons: It might be a tiny bit more expensive than some of the other guys, but those dollars are completely worth the time saving and error avoiding features included in Gusto. And their customer service far exceeds the other companies as well.

Overall: This software has made payroll and hiring such a breeze! I used to dread new hire processing- but with Gusto the new hire do all of the work! And the interface makes it totally easy for them. =)

Pros: As a small business owner, I just hired my first couple employees last year. I was completely new to the whole thing, and was a bit intimidated by all the requirements of doing payroll. After looking into a few payroll software options, I went with Gusto and am glad I did. It walked me through everything, in a very user-friendly way. It has helpful articles about the various requirements of payroll taxes, steps for hiring employees, forms to fill out, etc. The setup took a bit of time, but was a pretty reasonable process.

Now that it's all set up, I don't have to spend hardly any time at all on payroll. I spend maybe 10-15 minutes every two weeks on payroll, and then don't have to think about it. Gusto handles all the payroll taxes (filing, paying, etc), and employee direct deposits. It honestly couldn't be easier.

Cons: I had a little bit of a problem getting my state taxes account set up. For some reason, it was giving me error messages about account numbers and things. Customer service was able to help me through it, and figure out what the issue was on their end. That was the only part of the process that wasn't totally painless.

The only thing I wish this software had is a timecard functionality.

Pros: Their pricing is not only competitive, but scales linearly with the size of your organization - beating many other services handily price-wise for smaller companies, especially if you run bi-weekly or weekly payrolls. The ability to pay Gusto by month rather than by the payroll gives me flexibility in paying our employees more frequently without added cost. To top it all off, their customer service reflects their aim of taking on their relatively enormous competitors - they have an incredible support team.

Cons: They don't show net pay until after you hit submit. It makes grossing up bonuses a pain, but that's ultimately not a big deal. Plus, for how few times I've had to do it, it remains a possibility that they've got this functionality now and I'm just not aware of it. The area for viewing prior payrolls also bothers me, as I'd prefer something less flashy and more strictly functional (don't gate viewing prior payrolls by making me click to scroll the list down, Gusto, it's aesthetically pleasing but functionally it's an unnecessary hassle).

Recommendations to other buyers: Take price into account. Some companies won't share their price upfront, typically because they can't compete on price. Contrast that with Gusto, where you pay monthly, they're upfront about their costs, and you're almost always paying less than other payroll services which charge by individual payroll. There's a reason other payroll services gate their pricing behind a lead funnel. They want you to trust that becuase they're larger, they'll be better, and disrupt your straightforward research in the name of personalizing your "quote" (hint: it's all for show). Bigger being better isn't always the case, and you shouldn't trust that it's the case without doing your research and evaluating your needs against the services offered. For a small business, Gusto pretty much beats the competition handily. I've recommended it to friends using other services to save money and simplify admin for their small businesses, and they've all enjoyed it so far.

Pros: There's so much I like about Gusto. Being able to track my paychecks digitally has helped me budget properly for the first time in my life. It was easy to set up direct deposit, and even get my paycheck split into different accounts. We also just recently switched to Gusto's time tracker for clocking in and out. Taxes are ramping up, and Gusto allows me to view my W2's online and even integrates directly with TurboTax to import my info quickly and easily. I filed my taxes in 15 minutes thanks to Gusto.

Cons: It would be nice if Gusto had a dedicated app for mobile phones to use the time tracker for clocking in and out, as right now you can only use the website.

Overall: I wish my previous employers had used Gusto so I could have been introduced to it sooner. I will definitely be a little upset if I ever change jobs and my new employer doesn't use Gusto. It's just so handy and does EXACTLY what I need it to do.

Pros: As an employee, it's been such a revelation using Gusto. It's so easy to get so many HR-related things done (check pay stubs, change tax exemption status, see benefits, etc.) in a friendly, well-designed solution that it's mind-boggling that some of the older, entrenched HR solutions have been getting away with such a painful UX for so long.

It's one of those companies where they really seem to lean into their brand promise in every little interaction... even when I emailed them to ask a question about COBRA coverage, they responded sooner than expected with a friendly, personalized, helpful response. It felt like I was talking to someone who represented the company and genuinely cared about my experience with them. (Unlike, say, an outsourced call center person.)

Cons: I don't know what Gusto costs relative to the competition, so I don't know what the ROI will be for you, but frankly I haven't run into any frustrations with Gusto, yet. It's been nothing but pleasant surprises.

Overall: I wish the HR solutions at my previous companies had been as helpful as Gusto has been. So many other providers create such needless headaches when looking for the most basic employment (pay, benefits, insurance, 401k, etc.) information. Gusto's been a revelation.

There's a reason why they call it ZenPayroll!

Comments: After trying out the Big Guys is payroll I was lucky enough to stumble upon Zen. Sign up was easy and implementing it into our business was a breeze. Everything can be done online so it saved a number of hours getting important data into the system. They also have an amazing contractor portal where independent professionals, temp staff and other workers can see their whole payroll history. My favorite part about ZenPayroll (other than the incredibly great support) is that they handle all of the filing for you. Working with the EDD can be a paperwork nightmare and ZenPayroll takes all the pain out of it. I love getting our quarterly filing notices that say "No action is required from you at this time." It's like having a dedicated person to handle all of that boring, yet necessary and legal paperwork of hiring, taxes and payments, who always knows what to do and when. I truly believe no one does payroll for small business better than ZenPayroll.

Pros: Quick. Easy. Efficient. Completely cloud based. All the filing and heavy lifting done for you. Great user interface and paying employees and contractors is super easy. I also really like the price. You get everything for one flat rate, and you only pay for the employees that you have and the contractors you pay for that month.

Cons: I can't say that I have "cons" with ZenPayroll, but a neat feature would be to add custom check printing. Currently if you have quickbooks they have it setup, but it would be neat if you could order checks from ZenPayroll to run through your company printer that were formatted just the way you needed them. We have our own template that works now, but if they had their own checks that would be better. I would also add multiple pay rates for employees (like regular rate vs training rate) but I believe this might be somewhere on their roadmap.

Pros: I truly like Gusto for a number of reasons.

One would be the easily accessible W-2 from my work, that they uploaded on Gusto and gave me immediate access to it. It made it easy to send it off to my accountant to file my taxes.

Second would be the breakdown of my paycheck. I can see it every week in the app, and see what I made, what is getting taken out, even how much PTO I occluded that check.

Third would be the PTO request. It is super simple, I pick my dates, put on the notes why I am requesting these days off. It then sends it to my Manager, and she can approve it remotely.

These are just a few of the top features I love.

Cons: Nothing. It is simple, easy and that's all I need.

Overall: It definitely solves PTO problems. People in the company not knowing how much they have, because they don't keep track themselves. No worries Gusto does it for you. I think just having an app where you can see what is going on with your pay, break down, and vacation time is amazing. It can even show you what you would make in overtime, double-overtime ect..

Pros: Gusto is the easiest, and most user-friendly app to manage people, payroll and benefits. At work, I train people on how to use this product and it takes me under 30 minutes to do so. It's incredibly user-friendly, and if you ever have issues that would typically require an HR person (i.e tricky HR cases), you could reach out to Gusto and they could help you navigate through it as the business owner.

Cons: hard to say. every company I review is either because I hate them or I love them. In this case, I love Gusto.

Overall: I get paid through it and it was easy to get myself set up and I help people set up their payroll on it. It's incredibly easy-to-use. Not much I can say after that. Oh and their support is great.

Pros: I love that Gusto does all of the HR work for me and that my team can log in anytime to download a past pay. It's easy to make payroll and team member updates and add bonuses or commission on the fly. Any time I've had a problem I've been able to get in touch with a friendly helpful person on the phone immediately and that is SO important with a payroll company!

Cons: I sometimes have trouble trying to get tax notices handled properly. I would like a way to enter employee pay by salary and not indicate hourly rate on the paycheck. And I think it would be helpful to enter an end date of a terminated employee but not have to send a physical check for the final pay.

Pros: This product is very user friendly. It allows you to manage various types of employees in various locations with easy. I could easily manage salaried and hourly employees and it allows hourly employees to enter their own hours. It also allowed employees to set-up their profiles, which saved time on my part in the back-end. Instead of copying a lot of personal information and making constant W-4 updates, the software allows employees to set themselves up with information they know well and make changes that streamline during the payroll process.

Cons: Sometimes it felt like certain tasks were taking more clicks than necessary to complete. For instance, if I need to change the pay rate for several employees I would go into each one individually, but then once I saved and was ready to update the next profile I would have to go back to the employee screen and then expand the scroll-able list again. It would be nice to easily go back to where I was when making large updates.

Recommendations to other buyers: This is great if you're smaller or newer to the payroll/HR process. The Gusto help team is amazing and are very quick to answer questions, and answer them accurately. The cost savings is wonderful too. You basically pay based on the number of employees you have per month. If you have seasonal operations, this could save you greatly during your off-season months. And when employees are not working they can be temporarily turned off without losing any information with they work for you again the following year.

Pros: This service makes it VERY easy for all our employees to see not only when they were paid but a breakdown of their check. The stats offered are really helpful for employees that want to know where every cent goes that's not being directly put in their bank account.

Their payday emails are fun. They are colorful, full of charts, and even include a bit of trivia. These fun emails help employees take an extra minute to review their current info so there is complete transparancy between employer and emplyee.

Cons: The only issue I had was already addressed. They would show your paycheck amount in the email. If someone was standing nearby or saw an open email, they might see something you'd rather keep private. They've recently introduced a link at the bottom of the email that will allow one to hide the paycheck amount in future emails.

Overall: Although it's just a way to pay people, it matters a lot to the recipients. It's a neat and clean way to show your employees that you care by making payday (the reason we all show up) a bit easier to understand.

Pros: This software offers the possibility of managing a large number of business factors of the branch of human resources such as hiring, time management, and training among others. The best thing is that it allows you to program payroll payments and the release of benefits, saving time and in a very simple way. You can also calculate and pay the payroll taxes established by law.

Cons: The only bad thing about this software is that there is no user support on weekends, so in the event of a breakdown on a Friday at the end of the day, the necessary adjustments can not be made on the following days and when requesting help with any inconvenience there is no prompt response, usually it takes 2 or 3 days to respond and that causes discomfort in the company since payroll payments can be delayed a lot because they cannot solve the flaws with the program.

Overall: This software has allowed me to successfully manage the payroll of my small company, besides not only limited to human resources but also it has made it much easier to keep up the payment of the taxes that the law demands, so I avoid delays and penalties for not making these payments at times. I love this application and I recommend it, you should only improve the support and assistance to the user.

Pros: I think that this is good software has served me a lot, I think I like it a lot, it saves a lot of time when it comes to managing the entire payroll part of any company.

It is quite useful Gusto because it allows to have programmed the nomida payments and everything that should be canceled to the workers, also I can generate reports to know what there is and what I owe, something really efficient

I like it because it is simple and it is not difficult to understand, I can keep an order and know how the organization is

Cons: Really, there are many things that I like about this software, considering some negative point I think it would be the part in which the work purposes are not updates or reports so it is necessary to wait until the next Monday to make verifications and in some opportunities can occur certain delays and inconveniences that bother employees, but everything depends on how you manage the organization in some cases is something common that does not cause problems

Overall: Personally I had a good experience I think it has facilitated certain tasks so I should not complain, I really like it and I think there are many benefits, I really feel very comfortable with this software

Pros: We use Gusto for our payroll needs as we are a small business unit. It has been super easy to onboard new employees and get them set up. Our feedback from staff is that they love this tool. They can easily access their paystubs, make changes and view their benefits, time off etc. This is a great low-cost option for self-service payroll. The interface is very fun, friendly and intuitive. Gusto has a great UI and they always include fun facts and images on their home dashboard page. I would definitely recommend this product!

Cons: Unfortunately, we did have an issue with customer service and our new benefits set up. We were told it would be set up and ready to go only to find out that we were misinformed and it would take an additional month to get the benefits set up. It could have been a one time erroneous issue but it did set us back a month and cause some employees to be upset. I think they could improve on their customer service wait time (Monday morning wait times are the worst).

Overall: Gusto is a great alternative for small businesses where cost is an issue. This is a low priced tool which allows you to avoid spending high costs on other premium payroll and benefits systems.

Comments: Like I said, I'm not sure what changed, but when we first started with Gusto (mid-2017), the response rate on emails were fantastic. Now, the only time I can get a response via email is if I submit a question and end up calling multiple days later. By the time my email is responded to, I typically have the answer from some other source or from a phone call. Good software with the potential to be great.

Pros: --Very easy to use overall --The dashboard is nice, especially with the notifications --Love the intertwined tax forms --Ability to customize reports --Number of different reports you can run --For the most part, support is very knowledgeable

Cons: The only con I really have is that Gusto used to be so good about responding to email and questions submitted online in a timely manner. Now, I feel like to get anyone to respond, I have to call which isn't a bad thing, but most of the time the person on the other end can't help me directly. They typically have to pass me off or get back to me via email which is what I would like to happen from the get-go.

Pros: I like Gusto because it links to another service I use for time cards, it's trustworthy and my team can upload their own direct deposit info, pull their w-2 and change their w-4 as needed helping me to avoid the need to be full HR while trying to run a business. It sends you several reminders to run payroll before the deadline so you can meet your team's timing expectations. They file documents for you with the State and Fed government as well.

Cons: The software requires a pull of the payroll funds from your business account for 5 days in advance for contractors and for full-time employees as well - at least until you build up some "credit-worthiness" then it goes down to 2 days in advance. Also I wish there was a way to set up a calendar notice of when to have payroll approved to download it to your calendar without manually entering it.

Overall: The biggest benefit it gives me as a small business is the ability to not spend time on worrying about payroll, taxes, documentation, etc.

Pros: I love, love, love that i can export emplyee hours from T-Sheets into Gusto with just a few clicks. I love that my employees can go onto Gusto and make changes to their own account for tax purposes and time off requests.

Pros: The Gusto customer-service team is amazing. From the moment you decide you want to implement the system, they are right there to promptly answer all of your questions and assist with the migration of information. For client with multiple states, the cost is more than worth the times it saves me in filing quarterly and year-end payroll tax returns. Employees love it as well as they have one place to go to see their paystubs, W2s, benefits, and PTO online.

Cons: A few items are not as customizable as a few other payroll products will let you do (mostly with clergy housing).

Pros: We switched to Gusto after using two other payroll companies. There were lots of mistakes made with the old companies that are still being taken care of months and months later. With Gusto the switch was painless even though it was mid-year, and whenever we find we did a mistake or something is not looking right, we reach out to Gusto customer service and it's being resolved immediately. The process to fix an employees W-2 took about 5 minutes with the help of a representative in a chat. The software does EVERYTHING for you, you don't need to calculate, check laws, etc. Previously we had to also use Docusign for on boarding of new team members, not the on-boarding takes a few clicks and then Gusto does everything for you automatically. We saved so much time, energy and nerves with Gusto.

Cons: Once the website was glitchy and I couldn't enter employees PTO. No other cons I can think of. Maybe the customer support was a little slow at some point via email, but if you have something that can't wait they are always reachable by chat or phone.

Pros: The Gusto platform is extremely simple to navigate and understand. It integrates well with the Xero accounting software and provides reports that are clean and easy to understand. Gusto handles my tax filings and keeps me in the loop about what is being filed and what I need to review. Finally, the customer service is superb compared to all other payroll services that I've used in the past.

Cons: I really don't have any complaints about the software. I've been very pleased with my experience.

Overall: Payroll service providers are supposed to make your life as a small business owner easier. Unfortunately, not all of these providers do so. Gusto, however, is a breath of fresh air in this space. Not only is the system easy to use and integrate, the reporting is simple, the tax management is effective, and the customer service is outstanding. I have recommended (and will continue to recommend) Gusto to other small business owners who are looking to simplify their lives with a better payroll service provider.

Pros: As a previous longtime user of another HR software giant, I can honestly say that Gusto has been one of the best experiences I've ever had using HR software. The clean layout and clear labels really allowed me to access everything I needed easily right from one dashboard. Having paystubs, time-off requests, and benefits all in one place probably saved me hours of back and forth communication with HR.

Cons: Sometimes I felt like the tone of the random messages that would pop up was a little too "jokey" and even borderline unprofessional. It's fine to be light-hearted once in a while, but it never really seemed like there was a serious tone, when the subject matter really was serious in nature.

Pros: This is a SaaS payroll platform that does a great job. The interface is very intuitive, and it is designed for small businesses that do not have a dedicated payroll person. Really, it is easy to use, even for someone who is not a payroll expert. The highlight to Gusto is its support department. While most questions can be answered by reading the FAQ, the support team is truly excellent: friendly, helpful, and able to answer very difficult questions.

Cons: Users need to remember that this is a highly automated payroll solution. This is great, but they also need to ensure that all data is entered correctly. While the software might recognize it when you try to put in an SSN with too few digits, it won't prompt you, for example, to update your workman's comp data.

Overall: We had a great experience with Gusto, and appreciated the strength of the support team. They were always there for us when we had thorny issues.

Pros: The thing I like most about Gusto is that people actually took the time to design it. I am a designer myself and I really appreciate it when companies take the time and money to make software usable.

Cons: The thing I like least about the software isn't even with the software itself...I simply wish that more companies used it. I really don't like using things that are poorly designed. Especially when it comes to handling my money.

Overall: I think it's great especially for start up type businesses. It's relatively inexpensive and I recommend it to my friends that have to deal with payroll.

Pros: Easy to use.

Overall: In December of last year, I found myself taking over payroll for the company that I work for. I quickly learned that our payroll process was very time-consuming and did not run very smooth at all. I suggested that we change our process to the owners of our company and that is when I stumbled across Gusto. I had zero payroll experience and I was spending 1-2 days a week working on payroll. As COO I did not have the time to spend on payroll the way that it was set up. Once we started Gusto and got everything set up it now takes me maybe 30 minutes every two weeks to run payroll. Gusto has excellent customer service and they are very helpful to people like me, who have zero payroll processing experience.

Recommendations to other buyers: I wish there was a way for me to scan in our employee files to Gusto. So that I could go completely paperless as far as HR goes. I have two huge filing cabinets in my office that I would love to get rid of.

Pros: Gusto only charges a base fee for each plan plus for each EMPLOYEE. (Not contractors - presumably because it costs more time to handle things related to employees than it does to handle paperwork for contractors.)

When you create a new account, it walks you through the steps to set up your company's payroll while staying compliant. It's extremely simple to do that, and once it's set up, you can even automate your payroll for those on a salary, or simply manually pay everyone each week as needed.

Cons: For around a year now Gusto has had a date-range for when the money was earned when you set up the payday settings. (Ex. Payday is every Thursday, and that payroll is for work performed in which time frame? Then it lists several past dates instead of letting you choose it.)

Due to the way our providers release funds and take their good sweet time doing it, we pay our people for work performed a bit earlier than their hard-coded date range. There's unfortunately never been a way to set the correct date.

If you're looking to automate your payroll, be sure to contact customer support to make sure you can set the correct work period. I have no idea if that range gets reported to the government or not.

It always gives me a feel of confidence knowing that all my calculations are done perfectly well.

Cons: What I don not like about Gusto is that, It is normally hard for me to charge a fulltime employee payroll ones its saved. I don't know if I'm the one who doesn't know how to use Gusto.

Pros: As a small business owner, accounting wasn't what I wanted to do with my time. I have clients to manage, sales to make and employees to deal with. Gusto was hands down the easiest payroll option I've ever encountered. My accountant could access it, pull the documents he needed, everything was so simple.

Cons: If I had to point out any negatives I would just say that the setup process can be a little overwhelming. There's lots of information, account numbers, documents, etc. Just take it in little steps and you'll be fine. Their onboarding tutorial is a great help.

Overall: I used Gusto for two years and it was fantastic. The only reason I stopped using their service is that the company I was operating was bought out, otherwise, I'd still be right there with them. The customer service is fantastic, they were always right on top of things to help and I didn't have to worry about payroll taxes getting submitted, employees not getting paid, everything was "set it and forget it" easy.

Pros: They take care of a lot of the background tax and filing automatically. Everything is streamlined for minimal time being spent on payroll. Well laid out platform. You are well guided throughout every step in what's needed to be done for your staff and companies payroll needs. They will remind you and advise you when options pop up and let you make the final decision. The best is when you start using Gusto for the first time, you are guided through every step of the procedure. There is a checklist that you can see your progress and completed tasks and whatever else is still outstanding. The friendly, fun comments all over the platform are entertaining and add a nice light-hearted side to the sometimes daunting and dreary task of payroll. All payroll history, pay stubs and tax fillings are easily accessible to view/print online and by each employee too for their individual records.

Cons: Payroll has to be submitted by 4pm if it is to be processed in 2 business days or else it will be postponed to the third day. 4pm is before the close of business at the end of the payroll cycle. If this could be midnight on the close of the payroll cycle, my staff would not have to wait an extra day for their paycheck.

Recommendations to other buyers: Make full use of the customers service. They have instant messenger built into the website if you are ever stuck on a step or are unsure. I have used many times. Response is quick, direct and helpful. Another helpful point was letting all my employees put in their personal banking and tax info themselves which saved me a lot of time of having to acquire and input all that information myself.

Pros: I was introduced to this software when I was first starting out as a small business owner. I didn't understand things so I had to have a high-priced CPA on retainer (the IRS scares me). I was wary at first, but after trying to micromanage the process, I learned to trust that Gusto would take care of everything for me. I actually had someone else set things up for me the first time, but after that I was confident enough to only confirm here and there. I'm still a little nervous since I'm giving myself a paycheck, but at least I know I can trust Gusto (and not keep shelling out for an overpriced independent CPA).

Cons: When I added my first employee, the add process wasn't as seamless as I'd hoped. It's since improved considerably, but those hiccups still left a bad taste in my mouth

Pros: The setup is very easy and convenient. Once it is set-up it automatically pays your payroll taxes and files quarterly reports. Works well for owners, employees, and contractors. It integrates with accounting software's such as Xero and QB, which makes reconciling that much easier. Our company loves Gusto!

Cons: There is not much I don't like about this software. One thing I would change about it is the integration settings. It is easy to send information to the wrong accounts in your accounting software (if it integrates). I highly recommend having someone with accounting knowledge complete your integration settings.

Pros: Gusto is easy to use. We use it in our company for permanent employees and consultants payments. It is easy to edit when need arises. Every time I want to take a leave or a vacation, I do communicate to our account. He enters the number of days I will take hence easier tracking. It is easy to add or remove an employee. It is cheaper than paying an accounting consultancy.

Pros: Gusto pays the state and federal taxes on your behalf.

Able to run payroll on Wednesday and employees are paid on Friday.

Has options for onboarding documents.

Employees have access to change their direct deposit or tax allowances themselves.

Cons: Customer service is terrible. There is an online chat button but probably only appears for a few seconds once or twice a day. They take at least 3-5 business days to get back to you.

There is a compliance feature for smaller companies without an HR person, but those people sometimes have no idea what they're talking about.

There is a PTO feature, but you are not able to add/take away pto hours as needed, you have to input a rule each time.

Overall: This software is great for basic payroll functions, but nothing else.

Pros: Oddly, the website is my favorite part about the software. Too often - payroll websites are stuffy and look like something straight out of 1995.

The website is clean, brandable, allows tremendous flexibility such as offering benefits splitting your paycheck to multiple bank accounts ETC.

There is a certain amount of whimsical levity they have as well - such as telling you how many gummy bears you can buy with your paycheck. Silly but fun.

They have a tremendously fast turn around for getting you your W-2 at the beginning of each year - weeks before I'd get anything from previous employers. There honestly is not much I could complain about.

Cons: As much of a cop out as it is - I really have little to no issues with this service.

Mostly easy to use. Fast. Flexible. Good Customer Support. Software integrations not seamless.

Pros: I get emails straight to my phone every week when my paycheck is deposited, along with fun facts and the option to save or give a portion of my paychecks! I can request time off easily, track my PTO, and even receive approvals and messages from my boss if my time off has been accepted. All of my important work documents are stored in one place online to access within minutes if I need them, and I can edit/change any important tax information in a few clicks. I always know where to get my tax forms during tax season and get email reminders from Gusto when they're ready!

Cons: Honestly, I can't think of any cons. Working for a small startup company without an HR department, Gusto has been an incredible and essential work resource for me!

Gusto is an awesome tool for reducing the complexities of payroll.

Pros: Gusto is easy to use and is very active in informing you of changes that you need to be aware of. It seems like they are always making things easier for you by adding new tools and functionalities to make payroll easier. For example, I just saw today that they added an autopilot feature for payroll, which is really going to help me out.

Cons: Interface is easy to use but sometimes I have to ask customer support where to find basic things like the payroll schedule because it's not laid out in a very organized manor. Perhaps it is and I just don't know the website very well. I've been using the website for about 2 years now and I'm not 100% familiar with how it's laid out, I guess that speaks to how intuitive it is to use.

Overall: I get to paid (it's payroll software).

Pros: Gusto is incredibly easy to use--things are easy to find, the interface is pretty and easy to navigate. The customer service is *outstanding* over email, and I have used their chat feature for help more than once, and always get the help I need. Gusto also integrates with other services we use (Pilot, Brex + Guideline), which is super convenient.

Cons: Zero cons that I can think of right now.

Overall: We love Gusto so much that after doing an extensive comparison with TriNet, we decided to stick with Gusto because they're so great, we couldn't imagine changing if we didn't have to.

Pros: The thing I hated most about having my own freelance marketing business is managing the taxes. It's so confusing! What do I file? When do I file? Gusto freed up so much of time and energy simply by handling payroll for me. They filed my taxes for me, correctly withheld earnings, created the reports and forms I needed, and even after I decided to close my account when I returned to a 9-5 job, they filed the last few months of forms on my behalf! It was SUCH a delight!

They also handled paying my subcontractors, which was wonderful. The system makes automatic deposits possible and handles all 1099 forms and reports at the end of the year. Great tool, highly recommended!

Cons: Nothing. Gusto is a user-friendly, affordable lifesaver!

Overall: Really really helpful for a solopreneur whose LEAST favorite part of owning a business was handling payroll and taxes. Customer support was amazing. I love Gusto with gusto!

Pros: We have transitioned from ADP to Gusto for one of our subsidiary and couldn't be any happier. Not only it's cost effective than ADP, it's built intuitively for HR professionals. It doesn't seem like they have acquired many different companies for different parts of the software like ADP has done.

Cons: Because it's not ERP, there are some limitations based on how your business operates.

Pros: Simple interface, good integrations, makes doing payroll straightforward.

So many people underestimate the value of UX - just because a service does "the same thing" doesn't mean it can't be easier and better with a well-designed interface.

And since Gusto is mostly self-service, they are significantly cheaper than my previous provider (who was great, but great at twice or thrice the cost).

Cons: Because it's self-service, you have to get the correct information to set it up correctly. Specifically, the correct amount for state taxes was not easy to get - I had to call the TX Workforce Commission myself in order to get the rate (the estimator on Gusto's site was wildly incorrect), in order to complete the setup.

Again, because it's self-serve, there is the potential to enter incorrect information and then end up paying an incorrect amount of tax, which creates a problem. It's a very caveat emptor sort of situation. The cost savings are because you're setting it up yourself. But then, if things go wrong, like if I had just taken the estimator at face value, you might end up wishing that a person had guided you through the setup process more accurately.

Just check your inputs three times, not online - call the state tax office that applies to you and get the latest info directly as applied to your business. Garbage in, Garbage out.

Gusto does great (as far as I can tell) with federal taxes.

Pros: What I like most about Gusto is that it is so easy to use and doesn't disrupt me from my daily tasks. I am a Director of Customer Success and have been able to run payroll and select benefits for my startup company as a second hat that I wear. The customer support is top notch and I actually enjoy calling in for help because I know that they will solve my problem quickly and that I will learn something new!

Cons: There aren't many drawbacks to the software. Since I am dealing with a part of the business that I don't have my experience in (payroll and benefits), I think some more tooltips or state specific FAQ's would be more beneficial

Overall: The ability to painlessly run payroll and select benefits for a startup without the cost of hiring specifically for that role.

Pros: They take care of all of the steps of payroll including state and federal taxes which was a great benefit to have as a small business. They also have great customer support - very helpful, friendly and fast response time.

Cons: I wish they had an app that I can use. I also wish there were a bit more new features. I also wish you can mass update everything at once. Like for instance I needed to update one thing to all of my employees and had to manually click into each one. But i guess that's why this is probably better for smaller companies

Overall: I used it to cut employee checks. It also stores their paystubs an work history which makes it very easy to access if needed. It's important for us to keep track of payroll & benefits for our small business.

Pros: Gusto does a great job of putting payroll into an easy to understand and manage little bundle of software. For me, managing multiple client's payrolls, I don't have time to lookup tax rates, to calculate taxes, to make manual tax payments to the specific agencies that require this. Gusto takes care of all of this. They will withhold the taxes, pay the employees with direct deposit, pay the taxes, file the reports, send year-end W-2s, file 1099's. All of what they offer is for a simple, transparent, pricing model. They don't nickle and dime you for each feature. It's a set price so it's easy for you to bill your clients and easy for your clients to have a reliable estimation of what their cost will be too.

Cons: The only con I can think of is that their pricing structure does not scale very well for larger clients. The pricing is good for small to medium businesses.

Pros: Highly intuitive, fully featured, easy to use

Cons: Reporting could be a bit more granular, especially reporting on contractors. Sometimes support is not as responsive as one may like.

Overall: We switched over to Gusto from a very old school payroll company and it was night and day. I researched and considered many different companies, from enterprise to boutique and Gusto seemed the right-sized option. I believe it was still called Zen Payroll when we started. We also were using Zenefits at the time, but now Gusto had rendered Zenefits moot for us, as a small agency. It handles PTO easily. Migrating over from our legacy payroll system was fairly painless as well because it allowed us to enter in historical payments. It's just very easy to use and if you're a small company without a formal HR department, it's really valuable. It autogenerates the W2s and 1099s at the end of the year.

We can even pay our contractors within the system in just a few seconds. The help feature is great and customer service is already ready to answers questions in just minutes.

Cons: Nothing. I honestly can't think of any negatives. The only initial drawback was not being able to pay the owners through the system, but Gusto took care of this without us even asking.

Pros: - Direct deposit and accounts can be modified online

- Paystubs are easy to access and deductions clear

- Easy to login with SSO

- Easy to request time off and see vacation dates

Cons: - Updating addresses on W4's doesn't always work as expected.

- The default email option shows an employee's salary in the email, in big giant text (weird in an open office).

Overall: Our company has been using Gusto for payroll for over a year. We recently moved our benefit tracking from KinHR into Gusto because we like it so much. I love that I can make changes to the accounts I deposit money into whenever I want, with little bother of the accountant. I can also change my withholding amounts, HSA amounts, and more from the user interface. As an employee, this saves me a lot of hassle for managing my personal documents, when before I would have to contact HR and fill out forms. I am able to stay on top of my savings deposits, federal withholding, and time off.

Cons: I also use Xero and it can be frustrating having to individually download then re-upload reports between the platforms. Would've been perfect if Gusto had some sort of integration where I could automatically sync payrolls straight onto other like-minded applications in real time.

Pros: I love how easy it is to use the service. Before using Gusto, I was initially set-up with Quickbooks (all done myself). It was such a pain to make sure that payroll was done on time, that filings and taxes were paid on time, etc. With Gusto, everything is automatic. It's so easy, I love it!

Cons: Customer service isn't as quick as it used to be. It's still great by any measure, compared to other companies (you hear back within 1 day usually), but they used to have an immediate chat and I could get everything resolved immediately. This is to be expected with a growing company and again, comparing to most companies, the customer service is great!

Pros: Payroll is one of those things that can be super confusing and eat up all your time with stuff like compliance documents and government filings. Small business owners don't have the time to deal with all of that. This system is geared for people who value their time and want to get payroll entered, paid and tracked with ease. Integrates with Quckbooks and Xero for simple payroll accounting.

Cons: I used to HATE how they did the Xero integration, but now it's very very simple to reconcile against. A simpler interface with benefits would be nice, but they appears to be folding benefits into their own system as we speak.

Pros: This is by far the easiest, most user friendly program out there. I test drove a few before deciding on Gusto (then Zen) and no other can even compare. It takes me seconds to run payroll or pull a report or form, any questions I have or any documents that I receive from the State are easily submitted to Customer Service and promptly and accurately answered. No run around, no hold times to be passed around among agents. This program does exactly what it intended - take the burden off of me!

Cons: There is nothing not to like about this product. Any features I think of that would be helpful, when I check in Gusto, they are already there.

Recommendations to other buyers: If you try out any other software for even a day, you will be sold on Gusto immediately. I can run payroll from my phone in seconds, access any forms and reports needed for taxes or benefits with 2 clicks. Couldn't be simpler or more effective.

Pros: I love the fun facts it delivers when checking your payment information. It helps take the mind of off money matters in a weird way since it still has to do with money. Overall, the website is easy to use and navigate. Not once have I gotten lost so the development team has done well in constructing a website that provides optimal functionality and a sleek, but not over-the-top look.

Cons: There is little that I dislike about Gusto. Working in an office though makes me wish the details provided to the employee were done in a more subtle way. If someone walks by my desk while I am checking something they can easily see my personal information.

Overall: This is a great product in terms of tracking employee's paychecks and benefits as well as taking the dullness out of everyday financial tracking for employees.

Pros: I love the interface. It's easy to use and find what I'm looking for. They also include little bits about how many bananas I could have purchased with my salary YTD. I mean, I hate bananas, but it's still good to know. :) Their integration with benefits and other features (like the easy auto-donations) make this the best payroll software I've ever encountered.

Cons: Literally nothing. I love everything about it.

I will not use another app besides Gusto -- It's the best one out there.

Pros: I love the UX design -- navigating through the site is extremely easy and I have a positive experience utilizing the software each time. I get just the right amount of communication from the Gusto team as well. No annoying emails, but I'm always up to date with what's important.

Cons: I wish Gusto had a mobile app -- I'm someone who works from my phone a lot and being able to use Gusto through a IOS app would be helpful

Pros: The software semi-automates and greatly streamlines the new employee onboarding and payroll processes. Previously, we were doing these things through a variety of tools including google docs, manually managed hours spreadsheets, and Cudasign for sending out offers/contracts.

Gusto has eliminated the need for much of that, housing employee agreement templates, giving the ability to send offers directly through their interface, and handling the other steps in setting up new employee documents, and payroll.

They've also recently released a time tracking software that integrates with payroll that we're excited about - we haven't implemented it yet, but plan to in Q1 2019.

Cons: There are still some limitations that we'd love to see addressed. We have not been able to handle sending offers and hiring of 1099 contractors through Gusto. Also, with the time tracking software, it does not currently have the ability to handle automatic calculating of overtime pay across multiple states that have different overtime pay laws, which is an issue for us since we have employees across the country.

Pros: Gusto is the most approachable, user-friendly, and aesthetically pleasing HR/Payroll software I've come across to date. Normally the hierarchy of information is quite non-intuitive, but Gusto makes information easy to navigate for both me and my staff. Whether it's looking at PTO details, or other detailed information about your paycheck, the information is there and easy to understand. Bonus for the "Yay!" I get on pay day - love the voice of this software!

Cons: The only issue I've had with Gusto is missing notifications that payroll had to be completed early due to holidays. Yes, I admit I missed the e-mail, but I wish it would have been on the dashboard so I was sure to see that.

Overall: We've been using Gusto for almost 2 years and it works great for us!

Pros: I love the portal for the employees to use at anytime to answer most of their questions, saves HR a ton of time.

Cons: Only con is it cost money, and you could do it cheaper by hand, if you want to deal with all the questions. As you scale it's a no brainer.

Pros: The software takes the hassles out of running payroll and even integrates into related areas. I especially like the fact that they take care of all the paperwork and deposits, so I am not in the middle of any of that and everything will be handled on time.

Cons: It would be nice if there was a way to make employees inactive if they are gone for a season to save on fees - currently you can only do this by terminating them and rehiring them which is not an administratively nice way of doing that.

Overall: I have been with them from before they changed their name. They continue to provide quality at a reasonable price.

Pros: Easy to use. Employees can complete and fill out onboarding documents 25/7. Clients can easily pull up reports. Love that I can access and all clients accounts and either assist them with payroll or offer full service payroll at a reasonable price.

Cons: Honestly I can't think of anything I don't like about this software. Each year they keep adding improvements, I hadn't even thought about.

Overall: As a Bookkeeper, I help my clients with an affordable full service payroll. I help my clients to be more successful in their business, which enables me to be more successful as well. As a part of their partner program I also receive other rewards.

Comments: I started to use Gusto in 2015, I have been fully satisfied since! All the time I would spend taking car of HR task was used to grow my business instead. I also had trouble looking for workers comp insurance and they took care of the whole process for me. The self onboarding is awesome, saves paper and time!

Pros: A very complete platform for payroll, the best function is the self on boarding when hiring a new person. All you need is their name and email address and Gusto does the rest! They also make sure your business is HR compliant.

Cons: I wish they had a time tracker or timesheet option for my employees, however I use a separate app called BOOMR that integrates with Gusto. So it's great!

Recommendations to other buyers: You can do 1 month free trial, DO TRY IT! even if you use another provider for payroll services, believe me you won't regret and will want to switch with them! so much easier!

Pros: I love how clean in the interface is. Onboarding and offboarding employees and contractors is quick and easy, and they have taken care of user experience at every step; for example in the positive tone it users with employee communications. Customer service has a very positive tone too. Lots of high EQ associates. It's the payroll service with heart, and it works beautifully.

Cons: With a couple of tweaks, Gusto would meet all of our HRIS small business needs. I really wish it had a better PTO function.

Overall: Ease of use, good reporting, clean interface, state reporting, automated W2s and 1099s.

Pros: Some customers of our company prefer Gusto for payroll, so we also had to install this software and explore its capabilities. As a result, I can say that I advise this software to all new business owners who do not have a payroll. Gusto is easy to install, relatively quick to configure, and has all the functionality necessary to start.

Cons: Not all available settings and functions can be found easily. In the software there is a huge number of different links and buttons, which, as it turns out, interact with the same element.

Pros: I like how intuitive it is. For lots of small businesses, meandering through your QuickBooks' and your ADPs may seem like a labyrinth considering how antiquated the former especially may seem. Gusto utilizes an easy-to-navigate UI similar to apps like Square so it helps small business owners keep track of payroll, benefits, and the other HR necessities.

Cons: Probably has to be the way perks are bundled. The "Core" plan should also include paid time-off policies and requests off. At least here in Pennsylvania, workers are entitled to a paid day off granted we complete a certain amount of hours, and if a small business in Pennsylvania uses this program at the minimum that they can afford, how do their employees receive their paid time off when they need it the most? Sure some paperwork outside of the app would suffice, but the point of this app is to streamline HR services.

Overall: Based on what I'm hearing from a friend of a friend, they are enjoying their experience with Gusto. They aren't necessarily dealing with the paid time-off feature not being included, but they agreed with me that it should be part of their "Core" plan.

Pros: Gusto is so simple to use and leaves the onboarding up to your employees and contractors, which is a huge time-saver and eliminates the worry of entering in any data incorrectly. We have been using Gusto for almost 1.5 years and have never had any issues with processing problems or timely payments - in fact, they have jumped in to help us run payroll in a jam after missing the cut-off time (which is only 2 days within a certain amount of funds.)

Cons: The only real issue we have had is occasional notices from states that we have missed some payroll taxes - but Gusto customer support is extremely quick to respond and able to provide whatever documentation needed to dispute any errors on the state department side.

Pros: Well good where can I start? First, the software is highly intuitive and easy to use, you do not have to be a computer expert to configure your interface.

Second, the same software helps you to find yourself in the intricate world of accounting and HR

Third, Gusto adapts to the needs of your small business, It has a competitive price, which allows access to a wide range of tools, options and configurations

Cons: I truly feel comfortable as a great solution for small businesses that seek to continue expanding.
