They made a stressful task for me bearable and quite honestly, fun. You should use them as your vendor- you will be glad you did . Pros The most attractive features of Contract Safe are the people who work there and the program- it is easy to implement, use and understand. Cons The least favorite feature is that you need frontload all of the agreements and tag them but that is with every comparable software program. The best part is that ContractSafe helps with it. It is a very cost effective and organized way to have a single location to keep all important contracts safe and accessible. Pros The service is very user friendly. Not complicated at all. I really like how easy it is to search documents, and the linking and reminder features are very helpful in keeping things organized. Cons The A-1 assistant could use some tweaking, not always accurate. The system is missing the ability to delete contracts while within the contract details page. " September 23, 2025 5.0 Investing in ContractSafe has been transformational to our organization. Previously we had no CLM system and was relying on folders on a shared site. It was very difficult to know what we had agreed to in any of our contracts. ContracSafe has brought all of our data points together in one spot. The site is very intuitive and easy to use. The ability to customize the meta data fields to suit our agreements as well as the easily configurable reports is also a huge plus. Pros For our organization we feel that the ease of use and ease of being able to customize the format was a huge plus. The customer support has been outstanding, ContractSafe wants you to get what you paid for, and they are always available to help. Overall, this product is great value for money! Cons Sometimes the documents when resized can be blurry, however if you switch to the document only view it usually rectifies itself. It occurs very infrequently. He answered all of my many questions and provided me with the needed technical supporting documentation. After joining ContractSafe, my next contact was a Customer Success Manager and she has gone above and beyond in helping me navigate the system. There is always help around the corner when it is needed, which is not needed that much because this system if fairly straight forward and easy to use. Pros There are several factors why ContractSafe was chosen over all of the other contract systems. Ease of use was the primary reason (as well as easy to install), while the other factor was the lower cost of use. Also, both of my contacts at ContractSafe have been very helpful. Cons There have not been any negatives in using ContractSafe. On rare occasions, the system will freeze up while I am updating an agreement, but I can simply unfreeze it by clicking on the refresh icon. Creating custom forms is simple and straight forward, no unnecessary layers of compexity Cons It's a small complaint but I would like the functionality surrounding connecting amendments to the master agreement to be more of a "parent/child" connection. With our previous platform, I had to save everything in a file and dedicate an entire day to uploading contracts because the process was so time-consuming. It has given me time back throughout the day to complete other pressing tasks. Cons The only issue I’ve encountered is that the supporting documents do not automatically appear in date order. While this isn't a problem with just a few items, it becomes challenging when managing a year’s worth of emails and POs. To locate the most recent emails and correspondence easily, I have to manually number each item before adding it to the folder. There are lots of trainings available and the support team is very responsive if I ever have a question. I'll be interested to see how the rest of the team feels after rolling out, but I anticipate a smooth transition as the product is fairly intuitive. Pros What attracts me most to this system is the intuitive user interface for each individual user. In addition to providing a user-friendly and logical contract storage system, it is easy as an admin to control what any given user can see and do in the system. It’s also really easy to track all key dates/contract terms and to send out customizable reminders for specific individuals of your choosing. On top of all that, it has features for sending out contracts for signature and UNLIMITED storage for related documents (like redlines) among other things. The other systems I looked at were either way more robust (and thus more complicated) than we needed or alternatively they provided most of what we needed but were much less intuitive for the way we process things. I could go on, but at the end of the day it has everything we are looking for (plus a little bit more) in a system that seems very user-friendly and easy to use. Cons Like any software, it is not without certain flaws. The \[AI\]ssistant has it's limits and there is a bit of a learning curve to use it most effectively. Probably what annoys me the most is the contract list, but that is probably a learning curve issue as well. The system works as deigned and not necessary as you might hope sometimes, but the team at ContractSafe seems to be very receptive to input for future builds and/or will help you find the best way to navigate your issue within their current build. It has multiple options to tag or classify the documents. It is also useful to track the termination date of contracts. It helps plan renewal before termination to maintain smooth business activity with partners. Cons Based on my current usage, I could find all the information and options to upload and track my contracts. I am also able to make changes later easily without much effort. Specifically in creation of reporting, creating views to utilize and share, having personalized control on addition of new fields/forms without having to reach out directly to developer to bake in the coding is a huge plus. The company is engaged and interested in feedback from users and seems to care about further improving their product on an ongoing basis. They are open to involving customers in suggestions for updates and are quick to respond to issues with positive results for all parties. Cons There are aspects of the software that lacks in refinement. The software itself is not bad in any way, but there are certain items I've seen in other Document Management software programs that is either not possible in ContractSafe or not yet mapped out. Potential for "IF - THEN" statements in the software would be beneficial, but not strictly necessary. Coding for summary pages is unfortunately restricted to a certain formatting. For companies attempting to manage a larger number of contracts and granting access, there are are some pain points that a smaller company may not necessarily encounter. It would be nice if the User Access Settings would list more information for the user than just their email address: such as the user's first and last name, access granted date, an identifying region or area that links them to a potential "group" within ContractSafe would make it easier to apply bulk action changes. We attempted to solve the problem with a customized product tied to our accounting software and that effort was a miserable and expensive failure. Contract Safe was literally up and running within a day and we customized the product ourselves to meet our needs. Customer Service is incredibly responsive to assist at any time. Pros Contract Safe is user friendly, easy to customize without the need to engage in a complicated build-out and a simple cost-effective solution to a long-standing need to convert our contract archive and review process from paper to a web-based application. Customer service is also top notch! Cons The software is a little glitchy from time-to-time and some features are not customizable but the cost effectiveness has allowed us to creatively work - around any issues we've faced and the customer service response to any issues is immediate. Other “solutions” are too big, expensive and cumbersome. Customizing ContractSafe is so simple and I get just what I need the moment I need it. I no longer need budget dollars and months to make a change that improves efficacy, visibility, or compliance. I’ve been a professional contract administrator for nearly 20 years, implemented at least 6 other contract management systems, and I’m always impressed by ContractSafe’s ease of use and immediate and helpful customer service (which is rarely needed.)
