Controller Consumer Services Used the software for: 2+ years ### "FloQast: Excellent for Close Management" October 4, 2022 4.0 FloQast's team was great with implementation, working and continuing to support our team through operational improvements to the system, and assisting us in understanding the system. The system is easy to use and set-up, with not too many complexities, but enough robustness to shine where needed: The month-end close. Pros FloQast shines with assisting accounting teams with close management, by creating a centralized location for all close activities and management, regardless of what accounting system used for recording accounting transactional data. FloQast assists with checklists, flux analysis, and most important, reconciliations, to keep your balance sheet and income statement clean and to streamline an efficient, accurate, and reliable close. From functionality to assist with reconciliations from its reconciliation tool, and being able to streamline and manage accounting tasks, to improving the time to close, FloQast is one of the leaders in the market, and should be looked at by small to large, private and public companies alike. Cons FloQast does well where it focuses its attention: reconciliation, close management, checklist management, process reviews and approvals, flux analysis, and ensuring a close is done well. If you are looking for an FP&A tool for budgeting, or a financial reporting tool for financial statement preparation, this is not the tool. But where it sits, it sits very well, and meets a current market gap in many accounting systems. Alternatives considered [BlackLine](https://www.capterra.com/p/114268/Finance-Controls-Automation/) Reason for choosing FloQast Blackline is a good product, but in my opinion, it is more of an enterprise level product with a lot more set-up and maintenance. Pros It's intuitive and works the way accountants think! Its also quick and simple to implement and manage on the fly. Cons Minor items - daily occurrence tasks are not available, and inability to archive flux analysis that no longer apply without losing the history. April 7, 2026 5.0 If I were to ever leave my current company and work in accounting for a new employer, I would recommend FloQast to them on day #1. It's THAT beneficial to my day to day duties. Pros As a staff accountant who has worked in many industries across several companies, I can honestly say that FloQast is my favorite support software I've used to date. Whether it is the ease of reconciliations or creating checklist items, FloQast makes my job easier on a daily basis. Cons I do not have any negative reviews related to using FloQast. Again, my opinion comes from a staff accountant level, so perhaps our CFO and/or controller have some negative experiences or certain parts they find bothersome. The FQ team has been AMAZING to work with - innovative, responsive, thoughtful. The FQ Sales and Onboarding experience was pleasant and quick. The continued customer experience is strong. Pros –Love the ability to reconcile accounts with daily/push sync –LOVE the ability to maintain ALL of our Finance workflows in one system –LOVEEEE FloQast's constant pursuit of innovation – they're not getting left behind in an ever evolving FinTech landscape – and they truly want, listen, and respond to customer feedback Cons My cons are very minor for FQ. –Notes can only be left on a checklist/reconciliation item. You can't add a note in the Notes tab. –No task priorities (high, medium, low, etc.) or tags available in Projects. –You can view reconciliations and checklists together in Folders or separately across all folders, but you can't view all reconciliations and checklists together across folders (except in Todos but you can't filter there and only shows your items, not the team's). Super useful tool for close and to keep the reconciliation clean. Also helped a lot managing the workload for each of the team members Pros I like how easy is to use FloQast. The Sofware keeps all the tasks organized and everyone aligns with the due dates. I like the auto reconciliation feature. It syncs perfectly with our Netsuite system. We use Floqast every day, we also use it to monitor our tasks daily. Cons Currently having a small detail issue with the Auto-Rec feature since it is not manually picking from our Netsuite system. I would need to download the TB and upload manually instead of FloQast picking automatically from our Netsuite connection Review Source NA Noura A. It's intuitive and provides great visibility from tasks to reconciliations as well as workflows outside the close. The exceptional support and responsiveness of the FQ team made the implementation process easier than expected. Pros FloQast is easy to use and helps us to stay on track with the close process. It improves communication by providing visibility to everyone on where we are with the process. We can attach files to each task and reconciliation, making the review process easier and consolidating our files in one location. Cons Nothing negative. Implementation process is fairly easy, with detail spreadsheets you can upload to the system, as well as very helpful staff across the board! Pros It makes keeping track of what you need to do and what your team needs to do so easy. Centralized tracking, documentation, etc is invaluable! We've also been using Floqast more and more to help us automate some of our more manual processes and it's been an excellent transition. We've been very pleased overall! Pros I love how we now have a dynamic tool for organizing all of our month-end tasks. No more excel checklists for us! FloQast has allowed us to cut our month-end close time from barely closing by the last day of the month to 15 business days! Cons Really my only complaint is not being able to duplicate prepaid items in the AutoRec feature. We have several monthly invoices that are prepaid, so being able to duplicate last month's item and just change the invoice number and dates would be wonderful. Review Source KS Katherine S. It also is a good tracker to prioritize the month end closing. Cons I do not have any cons right now. I have been a user for our monthly close process. Prior to using Floqast I was using a checklist on Excel, and now I'm not sure what I would do without FQ. Pros Floqast is very easy to use and is visually quite simple. I love that it shows a screenshot of due dates and how far along tasks are so I can tell just from a glance how close I am to finishing close, or other projects. I can put my weekly to-do tasks in as well so nothing slips through the cracks. The weekly to-do lists that are emailed out are also very helpful in deciding what my week is going to look like and where my focus should be. Cons There isn't much I don't like about Floqast. It can sometimes take a few minutes for the Trial Balance totals to update, but it's nothing outrageous. Review Source MP Miryana P. It is straight forward and simple to use, even for multi national corporation such as ours. The set up was handled extremely well and FloQast team is bunch of sweethearts, very professional and extremely fast in their responses. Being able to assign reconciliations to individuals and time stamp when they are compelte each month has taken our MEC time from 15 to 9 business days and thanks to FloQast that 9 might become 7 soon. FloQast creates accountability, enables teamwork, has great audit trail and gives one a lot more confidence when reviewing financials, not to mention saves hours and hours that you would otherwise spend re-running reports and tying up teh back up reports to account balances, it is worth every penny and is life changing for a Finance team. Set up was also very simple and did not take a very long time. Customer support is fantastic and quick to help with any issues that arise. They are also open to listen to customer wants and asks. Cons FloQast is good for the current company size, but I don't think that it would work for large sized companies with a lot of transactions.
